Tequila was sitting in his room looking out at the stars of not space, but an actual night sky....or rather as close to one as he could get. Thanks to the dust cloud he only see the refraction of light that could get through. It gave the sky an interesting look to say the least, but at least it was a scene from real solid ground instead of being swallowed by the emptiness that was space. He was still watching those lights when he heard the door to his room slide open. He could hear the petter-patter of small feet and at first thought it was one of the Waddle Dees coming to do its daily round of cleaning. His single blue eye would drift lazily to the source of the sound only for his eyebrow to raise in surprise as Lokita raised her head and eyed the intruder. Swiveling his chair about to face the cute little intruder, he gestured for it to speak.
The words were easy to say and his calm behavior easy to manage as the little bot nodded and waddle over to hand him a small package. Leaning forward, he'd take it gently enough before the bot was giving him a smile and a light wave before waddling off. Tequila would watch it go his eyes narrowing a bit. How strange. He had never seen that bot before and even stranger was his scanners picked up odd signals there. It was like the bot was just messed up data, but how could that be? It delivered a package and looked real enough.
His eye would drift down to the package. It was plain and orange in color with a light weight to it. His name was one it written in neat cursive on a sticker that looked like some sort of festive ornament? What was this exactly? And how did anyone in this new place know his name yet, let alone that bot. Was this perhaps from someone on the ship then? But then why the strange bot and method of delivery? Hmmm...
Being too lazy to get up from his chair, Tequila would wheel the thing across the room to what appeared to be a wall. With a few presses of hidden buttons the wall opened up revealing a small box like area into which he placed the box. As the wall closed, he'd wheel over to his computer and after messing about access the program that allowed him to safely analyze that package without the fear of damage to himself or the people on the ship in case it was like a bomb or something. Couldn't be too careful you know? Using the computer, he'd open the package glad nothing exploded. Inside of the package was nothing more than some colorful tissue wrapping and a disc inside a jewel case.
Frowning at that one, Tequila would go back over to the box and open it up. Pulling the disc out, he'd eye it suspiciously as he let out a hum. Going over to his bed, he'd open a storage draw and pull out one of many junk computers he had. Yes. he collected alot of stuff, but hey you never knew what might be helpful, right?
Anywho, he'd boot that old laptop up before placing the disc into the drive. Waiting a bit, his screen would eventually go black.
"Really?" he would grumble as he glared at the screen thinking the old comp just gave out; however just as he was about to try and restart it, the screen would come back with something rather odd.
The message came along with cute festive music and a charming voice that seemed harmless enough. Hmm. Well...Maybe he should put the request up if the requestor went through all this just to ask him to do so. No reason to let someone lonely spend time alone if someone from the ship was willing to go and visit them right? Besides what better way to make potential friends or allies?
Stay tuned for more details ~ <3
