Current Events
Updated: 20/07/2020

**ALERT!** After a rather eventful evening at Maksim's Party, three teenagers seems to have gone missing. The doors of Vault Olympia have been breached due to a to this day unknown assailant, who sabotaged the doors locking systems, allowing demons to make entry. Thanks to the excellent defensive capabilities of the Vault's Security drones, the Attack was put to an end, and the invading monsters fled to the outside. Right now, the Doors of Vault Olympia are currently open, allowing any survivors of the fall to seek shelter within the Vault's safe halls. What Vault Security officials think of this development remains unclear as the Chief of Police and Security of Olympia refused to leave a comment. This is Rianara, of Olympia news, signing out.

The site is entering a new era as our team of mods works tirelessly on updating old and obsolete information threads and links. Over the Summer, we aim to make many changes to the forum, including writing a comprehensive beginners' guide to help new players accommodate to the combat and other rp systems in place here.

Be sure to constantly check the update thread for any changes to the boards. You can find it ->Here<-

As the mutant monstrosity faded from existence, so too would the corruption that clung to Gisèle's skin retreat back inside her. Her shape would shift back to that of the Azure Knight... more specifically, a silhouette of that form. Save for her garb and the glistening white smile of her fang-like teeth, Gisèle appeared drowned in darkness from head-to-toe, a black covering that rendered any intricacies or finer details invisible to prying eyes. This wouldn't last long however as soon enough tiny cracks took their place across her body and grew substantially in length in the span of a few seconds. The black substance which had overtaken her crumbled to bits and flakes of it fell en masse until it completely dissolved into an ephemeral goop which ran smoothly down off her body into the earth below. With the ostensible taint having run dry, one would be forgiven for mistaking her as some kind of cosplayer, perhaps a participant in the Fungeon who had not "awakened" yet had somehow miraculously avoided the fate of the actors all around her.

"Ah... I needed that." She thought as she released a muffled sigh of relief. With the end of the battle came the control over herself and her emotions that she had initially lost when first injected with the minuscule dosage of power. Resuming a much calmer state of mind, she even looked ahead at the spot her enemy had been in mere seconds ago, pity in her eyes for the creature that had suffered such a pathetic demise. The distant screams all around her had not fallen prey to silence either and served to further speak of the destiny that awaited those who He had grazed with His insidious touch. There was no regret, however, nor was she close to weeping for this complete stranger. It was impossible to tell who they were or what they had given that they had all been playing a role unto the very end, but she already justifications for every circumstance to assuage herself of any guilt that her mangled conscience was capable of producing. Still, the possibility that they had been abused by the elite brought justification to show them some amount of respect, and so she looked at the emptiness before her with a sympathetic gaze somehow devoid of the sadism and choler displayed when maiming them moments ago.

Melancholic though the atmosphere was, it carried with it an air of peace and reprieve. It was a calm before and amidst the storm. Of course, hostility was festering inside her no matter how deceptive her current appearance was, but that wouldn't stop a false sense of security and safety from emerging to engulf the area. It was a serene scene complemented by the current expression the maiden bore. Were she so absentminded, she might have chosen to partake in it and entirely forsake the notion that there was any injustice hidden in the triumph. Unfortunately, she was not. There was no trespass in her assault and murder of the beast, but there would be in overlooking the truth of the situation. This was another case of the haves trampling over the have-nots for their own sake. After all, what proved that more than the elegantly flowing robes of Gustav or the pristine suit Shinjiro was waltzing around in? It wouldn't be a surprise if the former could predict what was coming next assuming he could see past the mockery of tranquility that smothered the aftermath of the previous conflict, but the latter was in a far more vulnerable position assuredly. So many pieces to the puzzle laid out before him, so much going on at once and all of it apparently he found interesting... It wouldn't be shocking if he was oblivious to whatever subtle signs there were regarding her newest intentions considering the amount of knowledge that there was to take in so suddenly; hell, if not for their exchange earlier than her fellow demon likely wouldn't have a chance of guessing either, and even now it'd be perfectly understandable to assume that they'd remain united in light of the peril that awaited them the instant they set foot outside this room. That was the only logical thing to do, right?

Fungeon! Team 3 (Yeara, Heather, Gisèle, Bellum, Nagami) - Page 10 Tumblr_n5mvexMKGR1tqqugio1_500
Logic, however, escaped her.

This time there was no warning. She didn't screech with delight or gleefully shout out any bombastic declarations of the murderous intent residing in her. No. There was no need for that now that she had her head on straight. All she needed to do was reduce them to unrecognizable chunks stuck to the wall. Shinjiro was the obvious target to go for first given his restorative abilities; it'd be a pain to have to deal with someone who could simply will away every gash and hole she dug into the soul. And beyond that there was the basic fact that out of the two he was the one physically closest to her. In the skirmish against what remained of Meowvversary she had inadvertently put some distance between her and Gustav -- roughly fifteen meters worth leaving her off to his left -- whereas Shinji was directly within her sight just a decent couple of feet up ahead. Thus she didn't need to consider her strategy here for more than a second; the decision wasn't any harder for her than deciding on a type of soup at the grocery store.

Assuming he had managed to anticipate her assault before it began, it was likely he'd assume from her brash and blunt fighting style earlier that she'd charge him head on. This wasn't wrong, but it certainly wasn't the crux of her plan. Rather her focus was set on the ground around his feet. Imposing her wish upon the very terrain, it'd dive up without any sort of visual cue or sound to signal the strike and attempt to ensnare his legs all the way up to the knees, a multitude of spikes scattered across both the inside and out of the rising earth that would impale him with a stomach turning squelch if he didn't manage to escape. This didn't come from only one direction though; it wouldn't necessarily be noticeable, certainly not initially, but in this instance her control corresponded to a three-meter circle encompassing the area around Shinjiro and she could use as much or as little of that amount as she needed to deal with him. This meant that to his right, left, front, and back he'd be targeted; the floor would fold inwards first in the few inches away from him, then beyond that, and then beyond that.

He could try to flee, but that was going to be difficult given the swiftness with which this was occurring, not to mention the fact that he'd be attempting to outrun the literal path he was moving on. Beyond that, as much of a boon as his natural speed was, it didn't necessarily translate to the mental and physical reflexes required to burst into a full-on sprint in time; if he didn't act with equal or greater immediacy to the trap being snapped shut on him then more likely than not the obvious conclusion would dawn on the skirmish. And he'd also have to deal with the issue of his assailant rushing towards him, drawing back her blade as she did so, and hurling the soulbound weapon out of her hand toward his chest with enough momentum to theoretically knock him back into the skill's striking range should he manage to get out in time.

Regardless of the specifics of how the scenario unfolded, if it connected then Shinjiro would find himself bound in place, his lower half swallowed by a cocoon of stone that'd prevent him from making even the slightest of movements while contained so agonizingly tightly within. More likely than not that'd be enough to rip him from the waking world on its own, but if he managed to survive then he'd have to deal with a whole new set of issues as the Scourge of Kings closed in on him and leapt in to claim the kill. Whether it was sticking through his heart or laying on the ground, Wrath would reappear in her hand before her advance was complete and with it she'd deliver a flurry of slashes that would bring about either the end to his suffering or the reignition of it. To start she'd take aim at him with a horizontal swipe swung in front of her; despite its offensive application, this would double as a defensive maneuver to a degree in case he decided to fight back directly with that paltry tome of his. Every other afterward, however, would be more freeform and unpredictable in its course. She'd swing the weapon down wherever she saw an opening and in doing so would strike two more times with her sword in an attempt to utterly dominate and control the scuffle.

There was one last piece of her plan though. After all, she hadn't forgotten Gus existed, which was exactly what the few spikes littered across the front of the rocky covering were for. Regardless of Shinjiro's actions, so long as the structure remained intact several of them would fire off in Gustav's direction, each spread out and hoping to skewer him before they vanished. Ironically enough though, he was the one who the struggle was least harsh on, even though he had drawn Gisèle's ire the most out of the two thanks to the similar nature of his powers to hers. In fact, if he wanted then there was nothing stopping him from outright abandoning his former teammate and casually walking out the door to the right before a single blow could come his way, an act which could result in him entirely failing to realize that she intended to involve him in this conflict in the first place. It was up to him though; if he decided to stand his ground or lingered in deliberation for too long then he'd be targeted by her too just as she originally hoped to do.

Whatever the case, more would arrive soon enough. Unbeknownst to Gisèle, her allies from the festivities were approaching in search of her and Heather, and presumably they'd enter the room soon. By the time they arrived though, the battle would already have begun... and assuming everything went according to the whims of the Scourge of Kings, her victim's limp corpse would be splayed out unable to testify a word against her.

"I know he warned us this would happen... But I never imagined it to end up like this..."

The thoughts of a prying eye would observe the scene from the shadows, keeping themselves to a secret ventilation system built to span across the entire fungeon and specifically built to allow them easy access to any room and to easily follow anyone they wished without trouble, nor creating sound. It was a precaution more than anything, they all knew this was coming, it was written into fate. There had been so many interesting characters that they'd watched traverse the fungeon. Keeping a close eye on all three teams to see how they acted together, how they dealt with situations and what exactly their motives were. Now, it being a fun little game with no real thing to fear, it wasn't quite as obvious to know if one person was simply over acting or not showing their true colours. Though one group in particular was clear to be the course of concern over the others, good. It would of been boring if they were all simply goodie two shoes. However, for the moment she had direct orders to simply make sure as many of these new participants made it out of here alive as possible. A rather mundane task for one of her skill.

Regardless, their sights had inevitably been laid on one group in particular, a group that sparked her interest. A group she felt would be fun to work with in the future, though for now, a group that was causing her annoyance in making her job in ensuring as many of them survive as possible. They'd been watching the whole fight, right up from before the jump even happened. It was clear to see there was some bad blood between the group even when it was merely make believe and then how they all showed a desire for power and control. Idiots, giving themselves in to his power already, they didn't even know what they were getting themselves into, she was surprised that during a time where his influence was erupting as much as it was that them doing so didn't outright kill them then and there. Not that they fully knew how any of this worked yet themselves, but they had a damn sight more idea than these fools clearly. Surprisingly, at first it seemed they acted together in order to take out the monstrosity that first appeared before them. For the moment, hanging back to see exactly how powerful each of them were and if they were truly capable of achieving what was so desperately needed of them. Pleased that they'd managed to win their fight without help whilst also confident that despite their victory, none of them stood a chance against her if she had to intervene, the beings eyes locked onto Gisèle.

Without hesitation or fear, the creature wouldn't leave even a moment before acting upon the demon girls assault. Bursting into the room directly above Shinji at a moments notice, her whole body erupting into a fiery inferno that would project out beneath her whilst still falling to create a burning shield encasing Shinji's whole body in roaring flames, however these flames were not designed to harm him and despite it being still an uncomfortable experience with how hot it would of felt, the flames would never directly damage him. The course of action was to ensure whatever tricks this Gisèle was planning, she'd have a way to clash with it from any and all directions. Her decent through the air due to her naturally light nature was long enough and her reaction time being far greater than Giséle's was enough for her to take note of the rising earth around the guys feet before it dealt any real damage. Ah, so that was what she was planning... Sending more energy to the flames, the being would expand the flaming shield outwards in an attempt to demolish any and all rising spikes in the area, allowing the shield to expand far enough to be in near reaches of Giséle herself. Again, no close enough for it to actually harm her, but close enough for her to experience the intensity of the roaring flames that they had released.

Fungeon! Team 3 (Yeara, Heather, Gisèle, Bellum, Nagami) - Page 10 Um8Ardt

"Stop this stupid show of power! You idiots can have your bouts whenever you want after today, but for today I'm ordered to keep you freaks alive."

The demon like creature would shout as they delicately landed upon the floor, their voice was strange, it almost sounded as if it had two different voices within itself speaking at one time. The first a deep but notably feminine voice, whilst the other that mimicked every word would speak around a tenth of a second late in a growling males voice. The slight difference in timing between the two notable voices causing the creatures words to echo in a very unnerving way. The being had landed just a foot in front of Shinji, placing herself in-between him and the demon girl. Their eyes would be glowing a vibrant orange whilst the strange red flower that seemed to sprout from the beings tail seemed to begin lighting up into flame, the inside of the flower growing brighter and brighter as if they were preparing for another attack if the need arose. If all had gone to plan so far, then whilst keeping their eyes firmly locked on Giséle, Shinji behind them and Gus and Heather being visible in the corners of their vision the creature would speak again. "Get out of here whilst you can you idiot. I should have no trouble holding her off you if she tries anything else. But I swear, I will end any of you that try to keep this up."

Even if the demon girls initial plans still played out, the being would have a clear undoubted speed advantage over her and would quickly place herself continuously in the way of her advance on Shinji, even going as far as taking the slashes from her sword onto themselves if she really was crazed enough to still want to keep fighting onwards. Simply acting as a mind game to make it pain stakingly obvious that there wasn't even a battle that could be played out between the two and that if the being really wanted to, they could annihilate Giséle down just as quickly and painfully as she had first wanted to do to Shinji.

Either way, hoping that everything had gone her way for the moment and that no one else would be dumb enough to intervene, the being would simply keep blocking any attempt that Giséle made to get past them, ensuring she kept an eye on what everyone else in the room was planning on doing whilst simply hoping that Gus and Shinji would take the opportunity to get the hell out of here.

The interference of the entity wasn't something she had calculated for needless to say. Gisèle had assumed that the mania and panic that had erupted was enough to get rid of any unwanted witnesses, and the garbled death cries of the announcer seemed at the time to confirm that as the case, but it appeared things weren't so simple. It put a wrench in her plans though it was too late to cease many of her actions given how they were already in motion. Though the earth held out against the shield of flames temporarily, it'd quickly be burnt away and would collapse into its former place covered in char, though not before it managed to shoot off the spikes at Gustav. While that went through, the fact that it was so swiftly collapsing meant that the volley would be far from as precise as was ideal. One would outright careen into the ground barely having reached him and the others would similarly veer off course in a way that made it easy to dodge. If the interloper hadn't focused their flames solely on protecting Shinji then these would have been even less of a threat given that the clumps would no doubt be snuffed out just the same as the main attack if the flames touched them.

Her initial usage of her soulbound would go through as well, but whether this was out of momentum or malice would remain unclear. The cutlass would go flying forward and collide with The Being thanks to its decision to apathetically tank the strikes for the boy, but as Wrath flashed back into her grasp and she pushed ahead with even more antipathy than before she'd promptly skid to a stop, forcing her feet to obey her commands and using the sword to further curb her velocity by plunging it into the sullen floor and exerting as much weight as possible onto it whilst dragging it with her in her unintentional sprint toward the blazing inferno. Thanks to that and the motivations behind the manifestation of it, she'd just barely stop herself from careening in and would look into the fire with a dull, blank stare devoid of anything more intense than irritation. "Keep us alive?" She groaned with vexation. So that was what this was, huh? Gisèle thought this was her opportunity to get to work, but it seemed like this wasn't as much of a miraculous chance as she hoped for. "So you're this Traveler's bitch then I'm guessing? Funny either way; his orders or not, all this dramatic talk of survival turned out to be a farce. I don't know how he expects his supposed Seekers to be capable of doing anything if they can't even protect themselves. Quantity over quality in this case though, right?"

Whoever the marionette's master, that didn't make it any less of a pain to deal with them. She wanted to tear it apart for getting in her way... That would be amazing too, wouldn't it? To slice it into ribbons after that show it put on, to literally go right through it and then take Shinji's head while still dripping with his protector's blood! Now that would be justice: beautiful, poetic justice! Still, no matter how much she fantasized about it, the heat the flames gave off alone was enough to deter her from making any more foolish moves on the spot. It felt almost as if they were searing her skin when they hadn't even so much as tapped her yet -- a fact which was especially worrying when she recalled her body's resistance to fire. Perhaps it was theoretically possible to defeat it, but the odds weren't looking in her favor here; like everything else unique to the hand she was dealt in Junction, her adversaries in this world threw her for a loop in that they seemed to have an actual chance at fighting back and winning.

It'd take a moment of consideration before she made her call. In the end, though, the answer was blatant. Assuming that this show of "mercy" hadn't all been an act, Gisèle would give an indignant glare and lower her blade slowly. She kept the weapon on hand in case one of the nobles decided to exploit her surrender as an opening, but other than that she cast aside any pretense of further hostilities. "Alright mon ami, have it your way. I've been holding back all this time, so I can stave it off a little while longer. Two lives aren't worth this amount of effort." After those words, she'd turn her focus to Shinjiro and Gustav before giving a smile. It was, however, see-through: it was only an imitation of satisfaction, a thin veil which made no real effort at concealing the sheer mass of writhing disgust and hatred that this girl they had never even met prior held for them. "It looks like you've won life's lottery thrice then. How lucky! You must be ecstatic knowing you'll get to return to your nice, cushy manors once this is all over. If you don't want any further trouble though then hear me out..."

Fungeon! Team 3 (Yeara, Heather, Gisèle, Bellum, Nagami) - Page 10 Tumblr_inline_n6h1yb4OdW1rxg5le
"I don't, and never will, exist. Don't seek me out and don't tell others about what happened here. Capiche?"

Truth be told though, despite her posturing and the threats she capriciously dangled over their necks like an invisible knife, it didn't concern her whether they accepted it or not. If they heeded her advice then great; if not then even better since that meant she'd get another chance at exacting vengeance. As if to make this indifference absolutely certain, she'd casually walk toward the door without waiting for their responses, motioning for Heather to follow her. If she wasn't stopped then she'd put an end to whatever remained of the alliance of convenience and let her former targets go free. Maybe they had a team of their own to get back to, maybe they were all on their own save the support of their mysterious savior. Regardless, it didn't matter: Gustav and Shinjiro's fates were no longer her immediate concern.

As soon as the enemy was defeated, Heather stretched, Cleopatra fading away. "Ah...that felt good! Sometimes a gal just really needs to murder a person, you know? And they were a mutant, so I was TOTALLY justified for once! That felt GOOD! Legal Murder is TOTALLY the best kind, y'know!" then she looked in Gus' direction. "Which brings me back to you! You were gonna rob me, if I remember right! Which means I'm gonna string your organs up around this room!" She cheerfully informed. "I've killed people for less, so it reeeeeeeally wouldn't be fair to them if I DIDN'T murder you in cold blood. You feel me famalam?" Oh. Seemed like Gisele was already a few steps ahead of her on that front. "You go girl, I got your bac-wait seriously, what the fuck is that thing?" Heather was cut off by the arrival of...whatever the fuck that thing was. Since rules had flown out the window, Heather lit up a cigarette,, taking a puff.

"Aw...killjoy! I love pointless displays of power...which brings me to you. Fine, fine, I'll leave today, sure. But if we ever cross paths again..and that goes for you too, Robber...I will ENJOY hearing you scream." There was a slight crackling noise, and Heather seemingly vanished, leaving only a small lamp in the corner of the room. With her illusion thrown up, Heather followed Gisele.

Shinji turned immediately to face her the second the battle ended, to talk to her.
Which is why the second he saw the look on her face that said she wanted to pick a fight with him (something he had learned to discern), his mind shifted into gear.
The battle had taught him how she moved.

No way she would go for a complete physical assault if she could use earth magic. Her calm disposition indicated that she was used to fighting already, so she probably had a strategy for sure that involved using what she could to her advantage. So even if she was brute force type, she would use what she had to try and make it easier for herself to win.
Which in his mind caused him to instantly sift through every possibility he could think of that she might try and picked out one that she would do.

Which was that he would try to bind him to keep him from escaping, according to the earth that suddenly burst and got him before he could react.
“Oh… she’s good!” He thought as it grabbed him and made him helpless.

He thought this would be the end, something that he wasn't looking forward too because life had finally gotten so interesting for once…!
But if this is what was, as a writer, all he could do was sigh and accept what she had wrote.

That was when IT appeared. It being a Deus Ex Machina in the form of a flaming demon that shielded him with flames.
Something to keep them both from killing each other.
It was kinda funny. A Deus Ex Machina that was a demon. A Diabolus Ex Machina would be more appropriate to title it, but the definition of a Diabolus Ex Machina wouldn’t fit.

From that demon's words, and her response, it confirmed his earlier theory that Giséle was trying to kill him.
Instead of being angry, and/or scared like most people would be though, he was curious.
“Yeah. Why did you try to kill me?” He asked her.

“That's not very nice to do, especially since I just healed you… although I must admit that I did find it rather... heart-pounding." He said in a dissonantly serene tone.

Although the demon creature told him to get out with Gustav before this went south any more.
He hated that he couldn't have a further chat with her, and although she spared them, especially since he saw the same fake smile he wore at times on her as she spoke, and he responded.

“A manor? Please, I wish we had one. Try more like high-class bourgeois for us. Why, you hate the rich, don't you?” He said, growing more and more interested in her by the minute. Did she hate the rich, so perhaps that was the motive? Jealousy?
Still didn't explain her power, how she had changed into that form of hers. No ordinary human could do that...
Which meant she only looked human.
Which made her all the more interesting, and ignited the passion in him even more.

As for what she said after…
Well, he decided to go for one last remark

“Well, to me you exist. That, and I want your secrets to myself, so I won't tell anyone else. Besides, you didn't say you wouldn't be coming to seek us out, so that means you’ll be seeing me again soon enough. I look forward to that, Gisèle. You interest me. Goodbye~!” he said in a dissonant cheerful, even slightly flirtatious tone, having the gall to blow her a kiss because he thought that was what you were supposed to do in this situation before he walked off.

“Oh, and thank you for saving me, Ms!” He said to the flame demon before he walked off.
As he walked back with Gustav to his team, he talked to Gustav.

“Whew! That was close!” He said to him in a cheerful tone.
Whether or not Gustav said anything in response, the next statement that flew out of his mouth could only be described as insane in this context.

“You know, I think I’m in love with that Giséle girl… she managed to match me, and that's something! Not too bad to look at aesthetically speaking either.. My heart was pounding like mad back there! That's a sign of love, I think. Or is that the suspension bridge effect in play…? Ah well, even if it's a mistake, i'm still young. I have plenty of time yet to make mistakes.” he said, muttering to himself as he walked.

Gus's corruption washed away and he stood up, dusting his robes off. His face was still a grin of enjoyement, reminiscing of the moments that just passed. Looking at the rest of the crew, he placed his hands onto his hip and let out a short chuckle. This was supposed to be just a simple intrusion and maybe an act fight, yet they ended up in much more than any of them bargained for. A monstrosity appeared and the treasures were no longer of any importance. It was sad in a way, that their fungeon adventure was to end so prematurely, and that they'd missed the Jump, except not really, because the ripples it apparently sent across this domain could be felt at all levels of Junction's own existence. Speaking of existence, that seemed to be a prominent theme across the little announcement they heard at the time of the transport.

As he contemplated this all, Gus didn't, of course, forget the lovely ladies with them in the room. He looked at Heather in surprise as she addressed him and raised his hand to point at himself in a comical manner, as if asking her if she was talking to him. But oh my my, how she spoke. Getting his guts splattered across the room sounded like a very fun idea, to be honest. He could definitely see himself enjoying as she tore through him, as much as he enjoyed as he tore through others. "Oh I feel you. I feel you more than you could ever imagine." He smirked casually, as they talked about murder. "And while I agree that what you propose sounds quite exhilerating, I'll need to decline. Because, as you see..." The milky eyes moved towards Gisele, smile contorting once more. He gripped the microphone they'd found in the last treasure chest with the intent of throwing it straight into the blue haired girl's forehead to incapacitate her, but alas he was stopped by the gator girl's shouts of murderous support and then a pillar of flames exploding around Shinji.

He didn't even bother dodging the spikes flying his way. He shoved the dust away with his arm as they flew at him oh so poorly aimed, taking no damage as they too were caught in the flames.
"Mhmhm." He looked at Gisele and Heather. They were acting so childish he could just eat them up. He couldn't keep his tongue from flicking across his upper lip at the very thought. "You can visit me at my manor anytime you want, gals." He winked at them. "We could have tea together. It really is cushy, as you say. And maybe you can kill me over the tea. My offer still stands. Seek me out, my name is Gustav Marcei. You should have no problem finding me." He shrugged before waving them goodbye. Walking slowly towards his teammate, he looked down at him with a raised eyebrow and a wacky grin. "My my, in love so soon? I do have to agree with you, though. She is interesting. I would love to have some more time with her, which I might have if she follows with her threats. I look forward to the day." On the other hand, Shinji getting all starry eyed would be a problem. Also, Gus wanted to have some more fun, so, to quote on quote help his friend out, he picked them up by the collar, nodding in thanks towards the little orange thing that 'saved' them, while placing Shinji onto his back despite the man's probable complaints. He would merely pat Shinji on the head and continue holding him pinned to his back. "It's like playing piggieback, isn't it? Relax, you nearly got killed. Feel free to sleep on my back too if you're tired. I could tell you a bedtime story." The demon smiled as he started to walk back the way they came from. "Goodbye, whoever you are." He waved at the 'Being' before pushing the door open and slowly walking over to where he remembered their team was last together with Shinji in tow.

The being would stare at Giséle with a look of annoyance on their face. "Tsk. You think I want to? I couldn't give a damn about any of you if it was up to me, if watching the carnage unfold wasn't satisfying enough. I'd of probably joined in just for the fun of it." They'd seem to spit out the words, both the feminine and slightly delayed deeper voice showing clear disgust. "I completely agree, the weak don't deserve to fight. If they can't take care of themselves, what's the point of them. Yet today was those twos lucky day, according to old high and mighty, some people might be too dazed or confused about their new power to use it effectively. Says that wasting them now could remove something powerful later, that this is their one and only second chance." The being would turn and glare at the other two, despite just saving their lives against this demon girl and wanting them to be safe, they had a look of utter disinterest on their face. Those two were leaving, great, at least the being did their job right even if the show was ruined.

Waiting until they were sure the other two had left the room, the Being would continue to address both Giséle and Heather. Constantly keeping her guard up in case either of them tried anything stupid. "You two are very interesting. To say the least." They'd begin, their tone shifting to one much more calm. "I never expected you seekers to take everything so seriously so soon, it's a bright change to an otherwise boring city. I wish I could of watched some real action play out between you all. Though, aside from that, I have much else to speak with you two about. Similar goes for... At least some of the other members of your group." With a light flick of their flower shaped tail, the being would seem to follow the pair as they began to walk away, seemingly to regroup with their original team. Perfect, that cut the crap of having to explain all this shit twice.

"I know much about this city, hidden wards behind bricked walls, some dark secrets about the populaces high faces, even what lurks below the city boarders. I know of places that can grant you great power, of how to infiltrate the highest security locations. There is so much I could teach you about this place, though, if my forced display back there has lowered your views of me. Whatever, simply ask and I'll disappear as if I were never here. Though if you wish to know more, this is a once in a life time offer."

There was no point in her humoring Shinjiro's questions. Aside from the fact that they all managed to answer themselves without a word from her, she simply had no desire or obligation to indulge his curiosity. If he wanted to find out more about her then he could seek it out for himself like he proclaimed he would; let him chase every last speck of a secret to the farthest reaches of the cosmos. It didn't make a bit of difference to the Azure Knight. He wouldn't find anything, but even if he did it'd be meaningless if he saw his oath through and greedily hoarded every scrap of knowledge for himself. She had to say though, she was nigh ecstatic to see how forthcoming him and Gustav were when it came to their personal information. To openly announce your identity and intentions to the woman who tried to kill you... If the frustration that arose in her from being denied the kill wasn't still fresh then she might have found herself immediately bursting into another cacophonous cackle.

There was something that unsurprisingly didn't go unnoticed though. From the looks of it, Shinjiro had fallen head over heels for her like a bitch in heat, or at the very least he was trying to feign affection in the name of some overly elaborate ploy. It wasn't a development she had anticipated, but it wasn't one that would rattle or otherwise startle her either. In fact, she wouldn't even react until the two had left the room already, at which point she'd break down into muffled snickering and let a malevolent smirk spread ear-to-ear. The Scourge of Kings wasn't by any means a symbol of sexual temptation, but Gisèle had ended up dealing with people like this in the past nevertheless. Some foolish noble would fall for a woman he knew next to nothing about based on looks alone and in his hubris would waltz right into the widening jaws of a beast -- whether Shinjiro knew or not, this was nothing more than another one of those stories that would play out on a never-ending stage, an unremarkable rendition of a tale that had been told to death. The only unique factors this ridiculous scenario had to offer were that he was reckless enough to do it after getting a glimpse into her true nature and that he was willing to nonsensically shrug off an attempt on his life in the name of pursuing a sham of a love. Other than that? Nothing. It was as mundane to her as she was interesting to him. After something so idiotic, his only chance of salvation was that he and his companion assumed wrong in thinking she'd seek them out so soon. Perhaps she'd pay them individual "visits" (i.e. she'd assassinate them) depending on the state of the city and its security by morning, but in all likelihood, she'd end up ignoring them in the name of focusing on the grand scheme of the unfolding events. Everyone in the Top Ward was going to die the second she got the chance anyway, so there was no need to bend over backward to try and grind these fools' skulls into a pile of marrow. If they were brought together again any time soon then it was almost certain it'd be by their whims or fate's: not hers.

Fungeon! Team 3 (Yeara, Heather, Gisèle, Bellum, Nagami) - Page 10 6nd3LWj
"They're like moths to a flame. So eager to wager their lives on something so pointless... How laughable! How detestable!"

Regardless, Gisèle didn't plan on drawing this out any longer. They had left the area and so too would they leave her thoughts. Instead, her focus would turn to the entity who had stopped her. At the mention of the powerless she shot an icy glare at it, although the expression would slowly soften as the creature elaborated further on its stance. "All I'm saying is that weaklings are useless when it comes to being a means to his end. They don't have a purpose, sure, but that's the world's fault: not theirs. Then again, I guess it really just depends on how you define weakness, doesn't it? I've got no qualms with crushing an insect when it gets in my way and dragging someone off their undeserved high horse kicking and screaming is always fun. With an entrance like that though, I'm shocked to hear you share the sentiment. You just trying to pay me lip service or something?"

She definitely didn't entirely trust this being, but it had piqued her interest. If they wanted to follow then she wouldn't stop them and she was certainly willing to at least entertain the offer they were preparing to make. Unfortunately, it seemed some unexpected faces had arrived just in time for the explanation. It was relieving to see her allies were safe, even if she didn't personally know or care about them all that much, but they couldn't have picked a worse moment to arrive. Unlike with Heather who had pleasantly proven there was more to her than initially met the eye, Gisèle couldn't be sure that they'd be openminded to her little philosophy on life, so to avoid meaningless conflict she'd have to keep her true thoughts and opinions somewhat hidden. It wasn't like this was any different than what she was doing prior to the festival, but it was a pain in the ass still since it meant she'd have to watch her words carefully when responding to the entity's offer. Of course, she could probably just kill the other half of the team if they suddenly decided to turn on her and charge in swinging, but it wasn't worth the hassle; it was better to avoid the unnecessary conflict and conserve her energy for a more worthwhile skirmish. She didn't have a bone to pick with anyone there, so starting shit would only make the scenario take an even worse turn than it already had. "Glad to see you guys are okay. Lookie here, Heather and I found a new friend~☆"

Fungeon! Team 3 (Yeara, Heather, Gisèle, Bellum, Nagami) - Page 10 Sayaka_miki_vector___madoka_magica_rebellion_by_aprildoppel-d8oqy1z
"We'd be idiots to flat-out reject an offer like that, wouldn't we palligator? It seems like that sort of stuff'll be a huge boon in surviving beyond this first night... and if what you say about having those dirty secrets is true then we can't just turn a blind eye to them, can we? If those in power are somehow abusing their station then we need to keep them in check and bring them back to their senses."

"Bring them back to their senses" being a euphemism for... eh, fuck it, you should be able to fill in the blanks by now. The point was that she was willing and eager to listen to any insight they had to share. There was one specific inquiry she needed to make however...

Fungeon! Team 3 (Yeara, Heather, Gisèle, Bellum, Nagami) - Page 10 300?cb=20131019051148
"You said you know some places we can harvest power from, right? I'm only making a wild guess, but is the Under one of those?
And how would we go about getting down there undetected? Are there any routes you know about?"

Walking and talking, she'd soon find herself face to face with another one of the victims of His touch. Technically they could probably get away with ignoring it, but after her previous prey managed to elude her it seemed like the perfect opportunity to release some steam and make sure she wasn't too rusty. Besides, it'd be cruel to leave whoever this was to the grotesque destiny that awaited them. With a nod to the rest of the team being the only signal, the Azure Knight would grip her cutlass tightly by the handle and charge ahead with a ferocious look in her eyes.

Heather burst out laughing."Ohoh my god he LOVES you! That is so fucking pathetic! I know there are people into getting fucked up but that's just a whole new level! He isn't even in your league!" Heather laughed away. As they met up with the rest of the group "Oh hey. You guys are still alive. That's greeeeaaaaat." Heather drew it out. "This is Cloaky. She's pretty cool, you know? And I'ma keep calling her that until I get an actual name! Cloaky's a great name, I think. It's got a lot of feeeeeeling. This is our new friend. Since they didn't tell me their name I'm just gonna call 'em Plulax." Heather shrugged. If she had time she'd come up with a worse name, but she felt it perfectly gave the impression of how unimpressed she was. She didn't appreciate people taking what was rightfully hers. Anything from material goods, to dead bodies. Still, even she could tell how outclassed she was at the moment. Revenge would come as she mastered her powers...hopefully.

Fungeon! Team 3 (Yeara, Heather, Gisèle, Bellum, Nagami) - Page 10 JodzOGk

"You're fine with that, right Plulax?"
"Oh sure, I got tons of questions my blue friend! Let me think about it for a second, I'm sure I got SOMETHING to ask you!"" Heather decided, tilting her head. "Ohh...okay I got one now." She smirked as much as she could. "Tell me somethin'. Is this the ONLY Junction, or are there any others I should know about?" Heather smirked. Sure, she was supposed to take this one for...that weird TV cult, but a place that could warp world to world...that would be perfect for her plans. And if there wasn't...well someone was taking Junction for SOMEONE. There might just be a change in plans...who knew, a lot could happen on an adventure...as if she intended to just sit on her ass with these powers. If there were any more mutants to purge, they had better beware her, that was for sure. She wasn't to be fucked with. Mutant, Human, or any race inbetween would come to fear her. It was just a matter of time. Who said power needed responsibility, all it needed was a bit of pep, and a grand plan in the end as far as Heather was concerned. And that plan needed a lot of 'training dummies'.

After all, the journey to power required SEVERAL corpses. And if she DIDN'T murder a bunch of mutants in cold blood, it wouldn't be fair to everyone she did.

One foot after the other. That was the only thing that was on Nagami's mind as he trudged through the hall following Yeara's path. Each step was perfectly in time with the next, no mistakes, no deviation. His shoulders were perfectly level and his head was constantly faced forward, never tilting or moving in the slightest. One hand rested firmly on the sheath of Masamune while the other swung at his side, timed just as precisely as the steps of his feet. As Bellum inquired about his wellbeing he would stop and turn his head, not fully but just enough to see him out of the corner of his eye. He gave a nod, but it felt like confirmation that he heard him more than an answer to his question. As the outlines of his two other companions could be seen in the distance, another larger figure could also be seen.

In response to this inhuman looking being his free hand would grip his katana tightly as he continued to trudge forth at the same pace. Instinctively it was perceived as the enemy, another blockade to survival. Although there were no other changes in his physical demeanor something palpable radiated from him. A cold icy aura that poked at your skin like a sharp knife. It was killing intent, but not one fueled by emotion. There was no passion, no anger, but focused and honed with every fiber of his being. That was probably what was most unsettling about it. It was like something without a will was given a command and it was following its orders. However, even void had a palpable sense to it. That was the best way to describe what Nagami ‘felt’ at the moment, a cold dark void that was ready to swallow whatever it set its eyes upon.

However, from the reception that they received from their compatriots and further confirmation by Heather that the new figure was not a threat the aura would vanish almost instantly, like a strong breeze came and blew it away. As Gisele continued to talk and Heather bantered with ‘Plulax’ Nagami would tune out of the conversation, trudging in stride behind the trio in the same rhythmic fashion that he approached. He only refocused on what was being said once they both raised their inquiries to the being. Before a clear answer could be given another group of enemies were sighted. Wordlessly, he drew his weapon and charged in stride with Gisele at the threat, eyes solely focused on the target ahead.
