Festival Kick Off.

The loud mouthed bass tried his hardest to shout over the roar of the crowd to be heard by his camera crew. However, his efforts wouldn't amount to much as a large percentage of Junction's massive population chatted and shouted around him. The festival of the Jump only occurs once every standard year cycle on Junction. While yes there are dozens if not hundreds of Jumps every year, the city officials always pick one particularly long gap between jumps to hold the festival. Tonight the revelry and jubilation would echo through all wards of Junction, and for miles around the city. The screams of thrill seekers from the amusement park, the joyful chatter of dates in the Midway, and the excitement surrounding the Fun Dungeon could all be attributed to the general air of sense of good will surrounding the Festival.

And nowhere is this more apparent... then the Midway


Dell snickered to himself over his culinary genius before flipping the neon sign over his booth on and shouting to the passers by "Come one! Come all! Try to hold your gut at the most prestigious bratwurst eating contest in all the Multiverse! All entry fees are being covered by Toha Heavy Industries!... Don't really know why they need the advertisement, but, whatever..."



Alister's hand cannon let out three tremendous cracks milliseconds before the three targets he took aim at vaporized into a smoldering pile of ash. His dull expression unchanged, he turned back to the couple that had come to his... or well... the JPD's booth."I told you it's not impossible... now do you want to try again or not, you're holding up the line..."






The brilliantly decorated stage would soon explode with sound and light, a display of beautiful music and talent the focal point of the Cray’s signature Jump Concerts. Seina was front and center as always, her beautiful dances usually costing a fortune to see but all were welcome to witness her outstanding dance moves when a Jump occurred. And the up and coming musical artist, Sake, was making her first debut alongside the famed dancer. There was bound to be an amazing show that would last even after the Jump had occurred.




"This party just gets bigger and bigger every year…” The man atop the tower sighed into the glass of his office, a mountain of paperwork behind him that needed to get signed and dated before the day was done. Yet, it seemed slightly trivial in the face of the jubilation going on below.

”Maybe you should actually join in for once.” A solemn yet oddly mirthful voice from behind him caused the man to stir slightly, but not visibly. The voice let out a dry laugh and it’s owner decided to take a seat in the man’s desk chair. ”You know Garma… You ARE allowed to enjoy yourself.”

"Am I?... That’s news to me." Toha let out a small chuckle as he ran a hand through his hair. "I’ve got way too much work to do to waste time with a festival… And so do you I might add."

”You can be a bit of a downer when you want to be…” the voice sighed. The man behind the voice would quietly stand and move towards the door. Stopping just as he reached it, his hand on the knob”...Honest opinion… Can we pull this off?”

"It’s not really on US at this point…” Toha shrugged, not taking his gaze off the festival."We’ve done all we can."

”That wasn’t a yes…” Without another word, the Traveler left Toha to his own devices.
