...Finally… was the exhausted thought that ran across Haru's mind as he watched the demon go and his persona disappear in a small flash of light.

If Haru was anywhere except for where he was now, he might’ve actually allowed himself to flop to the ground to catch his breath, but instead he would let out a unheard sigh of relief before moving his body out of a tense battle stance to something a bit more relaxed, yet still professional despite his exhaustion and aches. He suppose this was the price to be paid for the power such as the one they had now…and yet he didn’t regret any of this as his eyes shifted to the blue haired woman as she spoke.

She was unimpressed, but honestly he wasn't expecting the woman to be impressed by anything they did tonight. In fact, he wasn’t sure if anything could really impress her, so he wasn’t overly hurt or anything by the expected on that front. As her words continued, his expression would remain more less neutral as she referred to them as dogs rather than Cadets. Her “correction” of the word only seemed to be there to rub salt in open wounds. She didn’t really see them as Cadets, did she? It was more like she then as bodies to potential be used and disposed of…

It was cruel way of thinking on the matter, but that is just how Haru felt under his calmness.... and that in turn started a small fire within. A fire that wanted to prove her wrong. Even so…his thoughts and emotions remained well hidden as he listened to the instruction given in silence.

Once that was done, the woman would make her way up the steps to escort the Queen out of the room. Keeping his stance respectful, Haru would keep his eyes lowered to the floor until that strange chill from before washed over him. Looking up, he found himself unintentionally meeting those strange purple eyes the woman had as she spoke to him.

At first he was a bit stunned, but then recovering, he would speak.

“I will do my best not to disappoint, Your Majesty,” he would say his voice calm and humble as before. As he spoke, his eyes lowered once more as he gave her a bow of respect as she moved by. While his words nor expression showed it, those words had just made that desire to do better and prove his worth even stronger. After all, her approval was all he needed to excel in this world. Once the Queen was gone, the young man would straighten as his stance became even more relaxed. His eyes would drift over to the Prince as he began to speak.

To his words, Haru would give a light nod, but nothing else before watching the other leave. Once the chamber was empty of all royals, his attention would turn to Athena and Achelle.

“You two did well tonight in bringing the creature down and perhaps we can all do even better with some fine tuning along the way,” he would say in gentle tones as a small smile upon his lips. The smile would eventually fade after a short while as he turned away from them. “Regardless, sleep well and perhaps I’ll see you again in the morning,” he would say before starting to walk away. As he moved, he would give the pair a wave good-bye before moving out of the place. It was time to rest up for the next day.

With the executioner dead and with all three of them safe from any serious injury Athena couldn't take the words of the nameless woman seriously. She could use whatever kind of insult she wanted, the terrorist they would eventually face wouldn't be much kinder than her after all. Still she would like to see that smug grin wiped from her face, for the moment though Athena had to wait and pretend she wasn't bothered by the woman's insults.

The Queen's words only served as disappointment for Athena. Certainly Haru had played a vital role in defeating the Executioner but she deserved as much credit as he did, it was her own powers after all that weakened the demon and prevented him from using any fancy tactics against them. Even with her pride wounded though she was fully aware that complaining wouldn't lead anywhere, the Queen was bound to eventually realize her potential and reward her with wealth and status.

"I'm certain we'll have plenty of time to get to know one another at class 0. For the moment I would excuse myself and do as our superiors suggested, the fight exhausted me more than I expected, resting is the only thing I crave at the moment."   Athena replied politely, she needed her fellow comrades to like her, even though she had already started to develop a certain form of loathing for Haru/Phantom. She took her leave shortly after the guy departed without looking back at the girl.

Achelle shook her arms, finally dislodging the pellets from her flesh as the power she gained healed her wounds on it's own... and then she pulled her glasses out and slid them back on to her face as Haru was given the ceremonial pat on the head.

Though she seemed slightly miffed, since she was hitting that bastard twice as often as anyone else, but well, he seemed good at making it fall over so Achelle assumed he got brownie points for hitting a weakness? That's what a voice in her head, she never heard before said.

"Well then, with all this fun taken care of, I'll defer to the judgement of the MVP," she said as she stretched her arms, "Though to be honest, unlike you two, despite working the hardest, I'm not really all that tired." She mentioned as she too decided to leave.
