The attacks done by the duo would prove to be immense, in fact it was too immense for it to handle. A loud roar was coupled with crumbling molten rock from its body, as pieces of it fell into the open mountain, boiling in the lava once more. The storms subsided, and soon the golem would be destroyed, however, what remained on the inside was a golden figure, who seemed to lose its former shape, as it beheld strange wings of a falcon, and a humanoid body with no features; something that Sharaku would recognize from before of being similar features to Israfel before he too changed. However, what happened then did not happen here, as cracks began to form along the body of the being, and it hunched over in immense anguish, as feathers of the wings fell, and something that was inside began to pour out, as the body was torn apart which unleashed a force that threw Rita and Sharaku back some distance without sending them off the mountain. One may have wondered what this being actually looked like, however, not much could be gathered, as the mere implosion seemed to be the being itself, losing all shape and becoming much like a miniature Big Bang.

The being would vanish without a trace save for a few golden pearls that fell into the lava, and the skies became red once more, the volcano losing all volatility. The same could be said over in Azores, as the volcano over there would now slow down, and become dormant once more; something so strange. Forces of nature behaving this erratically...

Regardless, they had succeeded in freeing those from the grips of the monsters, leaving Shadows the only force in this world. Everything was still quiet however, naturally so as now the citizens were somewhere else, safer if one could call it that. Would they be able to discover when their home was saved? Furthermore, what would be the consequences of defeating the Angel within, if they were even still in existence? Did the two conquerors feel any remorse for their actions? Such a being they may never learn about, was taken by the arms of a deity with one thing on their mind. One thing was for sure though, every other Angel would know it, including one, who noticed in their halls that a floating hourglass began to crack, and glow a passionate red hue, signaling that one of their siblings had been defeated, and had fallen even further than that...tears would be shed for the loss, as this defeat was never intended to happen. But if it must be done for the sake of those who fight, then so it shall be...

Combat Over - You Have Survived...

"I... dammit..." Just watching it hurt enough. Now they'd done it... Rita wouldn't let it show, though. That needed to be saved for another time... "I'm sorry." Rita approached the lava pit, getting on one knee to peer into it. "You didn't deserve this. No Angel does. I won't let you be unknown, though." The silvernette almost wanted to reach out into the pool, but that was idiotic. What'd be the point of that? She wouldn't shed a tear, though... not now. There wasn't any reason for her to stay here any longer. Dammit...

Getting up, Rita walked over to the path Sharaku and her came from, looking at him next. "I'm sorry, Sharaku... I need to go." Letting her bangs fall in front of her eyes, Rita let her Persona vanish after the fight, then started running down the path at a faster speed than she had before. If Sharaku wanted to follow her, well... he'd simply encounter Laura and only her waiting for him on the other side. There wasn't anything Rita could say. There wasn't anything she wanted to say. This was her fault... by her decision, an Angel fell... this wasn't how it was supposed to go...

That wasn't exactly expected. And while Sharaku wouldn't say he was happy about this...it had always been a possibility. In all fairness, Israfel hadn't elaborated on how this all worked. Was it possible to always help the Angel or no? And how exactly? They hadn't really known last time for sure either. Maybe they had just been lucky at Zela. It was hard to say when everyone gave mostly vague answers.

He would stare at the volcano silently. What happened was rather strange. The trickiest part was...is it actually a bad thing or not? Israfel said that the Angels had to be defeated to progress in this game. He personally wasn't fond of the idea, but what was right, really..? He would turn his head towards Rita. Well, she seemed to be taking it harder than he was. Then again, it wasn't as if he felt nothing...but he proccessed it somewhat differently, and at a different pace. ''I don't follow...'', he would frown as she suddenly declared she had to go. Where did she want to hurry all of a sudden..? Tsk. He would cast a blank look at the volcano before going after her. He didn't bother chasing her however. There was no point. He could just make a guess where she would go, if nothing else. Though, he wasn't seeing how her running off on her own helped anything. So much for her trying to maintain a team...if she was even doing that. They went here alone, despite the fact that she had held a meeting with Oki and Rin before. And now she was bolting off completely on her own...

An Angel is now destroyed perhaps by accident, though the Event moves forward. Perhaps this is what was going to happen anyway....but if so, why does it bring so much sourness onto the duo...?
