| Vera Valentina found herself standing outside the Kizuna Academy dorms with her bag over her shoulder and a sheet of paper in hand. Her violet eyes looked down at the paper and then back towards the doorway to enter the dorms. This was the place apparently. Taking a deep breath, Vera made her way up the steps and into the dorm. Once entering, her eyes searched around to get a good view of the place. Was there anything of interest? Sadly, it did not look like it. More of the basic things a dorm would have. There were a few students spread out across the dorm, playing various game and socializing. She was not much of a talker, so she would walk to the sign in sheet and sign her name on the entry form. Once done, Vera would make her way towards the stairs and begin to ascend. The room she was looking for was on the second floor, and it belonged to a student she had not met before. With her attempt of becoming the Student Council's treasurer, she had taken it upon herself to collect funds from a recent fundraiser for the club. He was one of the last students she had yet to come across.
When she reached the front door to his door, her eyes trailed down to her watch on her wrist. It was about 14:30, putting it to about 2:30 pm on the time scale. Hopefully he would be here, there was no school today after all. Raising her hand, she'd knock on his door twice and await his response. Who was this guy again? His name was--Hmm? Vera looked into her bag and pulled out his papers. The name was "Naito Tsurinai"? The Tsurinai handle sounded familiar, but with Vera's condition she could not remember it for the life of her. Clearing her throat, the thief would speak up. "Hello, this is Vera Valentina with the Student Council. I am collecting the profits for the Kendo Fundraiser." She would not wait silently in the hallway, staring at the door way without a word or breath.

| The Second Year Kendo Club member was currently sitting at his desk in his room. In his hand was a book named "The End of Eternity" which was a literature piece by Isaac Asimov. Sitting with his back against the support of his chair, the young Tsurinai had one leg folded over the other in a refined manner. His silver hues were narrowed as he skimmed through the pages with speed. This book was quite interesting. A man who existed outside of time in a realm known as Eternity had specific duties he had to accomplish through his life time. His main job was to correct temporal mix ups and rewrite some events in time. Even life plot people, removing their honest chance at choosing what sort of path they'd want to take in life themselves. He was quite well known amongst his kind and had status people envied. Of course this all went down the drain when a female got involved with his life. Because of her he was manipulated into turning his back on his people and destroying the realm of "Eternity" and all in it. The power of a woman's charm was apparently powerful, and the Tsurinai would be lying if he said he had never been under it before. Though he, himself, could not remember being charmed by Kiyomi Mio's Shadow, it did indeed happen before. Not only this, but apparently that woman was getting too involved in his life to where she appeared in his subconscious as a memory. Because of this, and the fact there was no other reason to speak to her, he would attempt to cut her out of his life entirely. That was the best way to excuse himself from any dilemmas or manipulation that came from a female. Though, if that were the case he would have also removed the Attendant named Chance from his life. In that case he did not, as she had purpose. Being inhuman, Chance was a specimen he would be able to observe and understand. Since he was a child he was always taught to study the supernatural, and now that he had found himself involved with various supernatural things he could not pass up the opportunity. Not only this, but something Chance told him made him instantly interested in them. Being "One who governs power", what did that exactly mean? His thoughts drifted from his reading as he tilted his head back and looked up towards the ceiling of his dorm room. If there was one thing he disliked, it was not knowing something. Being ignorant wasn't a crime, but choosing to be ignorant should have been. "I suppose it can't be helped. If Chance does not know more, then I'm going to need to travel deeper into Limbo until I come across more clues. After these last forays its been painfully obvious that a support member would certainly benefit the team. Also with Chance's lack of being able to participate in important events, perhaps it'll be imperative to find another magic based user aswell. Since Barbados and myself are focused on physical, that seems like the best next step." Naito lifted a gloved hand towards his chin and would pinch it between his index finger and thumb in thought.
His thoughts would soon go interrupted as a light knock came to the door of his dorm room. Turning his head, he'd finally speak up. "Name and purpose?" That was very formal, and the person behind the door did give him the needed information. He had never heard of that name, "Vera Valentina" but he could tell by the voice that it was a female. Closing his eyes he attempted to put a face to the name, but nothing was ringing any bells for him. Knowing that, he was rather cautious with opening the door. Especially when he was sure a Persona-User was behind the disappearances in Ueitawa and most likely went to their school, this could be the culprit knocking on his door. Keeping that in mind, Tsurinai Naito would stand from his chair and place his book onto the desk top. Walking to the doorway, he kept a hand place behind him, ready to summon his O-katana, while the other turned the doorknob and opened the door. Standing at the doorway would be a girl with a very outlandish appearance. Those eyes and that hair caught his attention immediately, and he wondered if she wore contacts and dyed her's aswell. Continuing his observation of the female, he could tell she was not Japanese, and most likely came from overseas. Actually, Europe looked more accurate here. Stepping aside, the narrowed eyed young man would cross his arms and allow her entry into his room. Naito's room was rather plain, yet there were some notable things that stood out. The color pattern seemed to be red, and there was a family emblem that hung over his bed that had the image of a Phoenix on it. Against the wall was a mini fridge, a dresser with various books, and then the window over looking the courtyard infront of the door. Other than this, his room was quite plain. "You can sit wherever you'd like. Before I hand over the profits, I have questions for you." He spoke in a professional and calm tone as he'd close the door behind her if she entered, and would walk over to his desk. Crossing his arms over his chest, he'd against the desk while looking at her with his usually narrowed gaze. "Why haven't I seen you, or heard of your name before? After all, you could be a little thief posing as one of Kiryu's lapdogs from the student council. I wouldn't put such unscrupulous acts past anyone here." Naito was rather blunt as he spoke, and his gaze almost seemed to be burning right through her. Perhaps it'd be better if he were abit nicer to people he were meeting for the first time, but asking him to be nice was a waste of time. What was the merit in being kind to those you had not invested anything in? There were none, and so he did not do it. It was that simple.

| When the boy opened the door to his room, Vera would stand silently while looking up towards him. Her first impression was he was quite handsome, though he may have taken life very seriously. At the same time, she really didn't have room to talk herself. With her fickle personality, one moment she could be laid back, and the next she could be just as bad or worse. When he asked her to come in, her eyes would widen before she took a strand of her hair in hand. After a few seconds of thinking, she took a breath and walked into the dorm room. If memory served correctly, which it probably didn't, this was the first male dorm room she had been in. She suspected it to be a mess, but it was rather well kept and put together. Though seeing its owner, she could understand why it was not a mess. Naito seemed like the refined type who sat on a throne of gold. Maybe he had some interesting trinkets to take. As a thief, you always had to be looking for your next move. Atleast, when your family consisted of all thieves and made it a family trade to take what didn't belong to them.
As her violet eyes scanned the room, one of the first things she noticed was the bookcase that held such numerous works of literature. As a philistine, Vera held no value for such works of "art" as one would call it. Though she wouldn't go as far as call people pompous for reading such arts, it held no ground when referred to her. Continuing her gaze towards the bed, she'd look towards the Phoenix emblem that seemed to hold some relevance to her fellow student. "The Phoenix. My senpai must believe in the cycles of life and rebirth. Or maybe the Phoenix's powerful form has caught his eye." Vera thought to herself as she stared at the emblem. It held no value to her. Things such as the meaning behind a mystical bird also held very little ground with her. Once again, this could be chalked up to being a philistine, and not looking for any sort of artistic or spiritual awareness in life.
When Tsurinai-senpai told her to take a seat wherever, she once again scanned the room. This was where her fickleness came in. If she were to sit on the bed that'd give him the wrong idea, right? Yet, telling by the char at his desk, and the book there, it meant that he would most likely be taking that seat back aswell. That was not an option. Then it came to her, the window sill would be a nice place to sit. Walking towards the window, she'd make sure it was closed before leaning against the sill. Taking her bag off her shoulder, she'd place it down beside her and then place her hands on her lap. Now it was just him and her. Being in a room alone with a boy did make her cheeks slightly red, but she was here on a mission. The best way for her to gain the trust of the student council and become their official treasurer was to do these small tasks. If something deplorable was to happen in this room to get the job done, then so be it. Maybe it was bad her mind automatically went there, but she would blame her pessimistic outlook on life.
Looking towards her senpai, he'd begin to question her about the fairs. He had not met her before so it was okay for him to be suspicious though scary he could guess she was a thief. After all, she was quite reserved and was mostly in the background of every conversation. "As I've said before, I am Vera Valentina." Her Japanese was slow, and she was obviously having trouble speaking it fluently. "I have recently transferred to Kizuna Academy. I'm a first year in class 1-A, so that means you would be my senpai. I implore you that I am a member of the council, but I would not go as far to say a lapdog. If you must, you may check my bag. I'm sure you'll find proof, Tsurinai-senpai." Her eyes fell downcast towards the bag by her side, and then would raise back up to look him in the eyes.

| Naito's silver hues watched the young woman basically analyze his room. He could tell she was looking at his belongings to try and get a bead on what sort of person he truly was. He kept his arms crossed upon his chest, letting her soak into the area around her. However, when he noticed her looking towards the Phoenix Emblem hanging from above his bed. The pale faced teenager would close his eyes and begin to speak with a blunt tone. "Us Tsurinai have taken the mark of the Phoenix under our family name. I suppose my family has some similarities with the mythology, or would like to in the least. Soaring above the trash that attempts to pick at the feathers from below. Heh, perhaps that's abit too harsh." The silver eyed second year would give a thin smile as he continued on. "Personally I look towards the Phoenix because it is a symbol of remarkable power and invincibility. Something I believe many can achieve with the right motivation. Though, today people are so content with their lives that they don't look to surpass the status quo they have set for themselves. Stagnation is a plague, and it is a shame some of us who are more competent were born around those who attempted to hold them back. Though, there are rare cases where someone goes above and beyond what merit holds them too, and I respect that." Naito hardly spoke of his family and in response to his own words he would tilt his head to the side and let his silver bangs fall over his right eye. "I'm sure you were not ordered to collect these funds on your day off from school, but you most likely volunteered, no? That sort of act is what I mean. Taking the initiative warrants praise, because many of the dregs today wish and hope for change in their lives, but never work for it themselves. They want things to just fall into their lap, and not work past the limits society has set for them to truly earn their worth. Though, you certainly didn't come here to listen to me ramble about people, hm?" The Tsurinai placed his hand on his desk and opened a drawer to remove an envelope. "Do not get the wrong idea, I do not usually speak in such a way to people I've just meeting for the first time. I've just had things on my mind, and you seem like the type who would rather listen than speak herself. Excuse me for being observant." The second year student turned towards his kouhai and held the envelope in his left hand.
When she spoke of herself and explained who she was, and how she had just recently transferred, he remained quiet. He knew how it felt to be the new guy at the school, even though he transferred into Kizuna Academy the start of the semester. When her eyes looked towards her bag, his eyes followed hers to it. He had the option of taking her word for it, or digging through her belongings to find his answer. Narrowing his eyes, he'd look back towards her. "I'm sure I can take your word for it. Searching your things would be a waste of my time, and yours." He could tell the young woman before him was having some difficulty speaking Japanese. It was not her native language after all, and he couldn't help but be intrigued about her background. Where was she from? That name of hers was also quite unique. Holding the envelope infront of his body, he'd offer it to her. "Here's what you came for, but I have another question for you, Valentina. You're obviously not from Japan, would you mind telling me where you lived before coming here?" Naito spoke in an indifferent tone as he looked into his fellow student's own violet colored hues. The Student Council made him uneasy, since he didn't like people with authority over his own, but perhaps it'd be important to atleast have one connection to the council. His sister was once a member before she transferred out of Kizuna, so another bug could be of some use. Perhaps Vera Valentina had the potential to be his new connection to Kiryu's dogs. Keeping an eye on the Student Council president was rather important, seeing how he was the head of the school mostly. Though Vera probably had her own reasons for joining the council that did not involve the typical "Good on college applications" excuse.

| Her senpai sure did like to talk. He was the complete opposite of Gabby-san, who was almost as reserved as Vera herself. It caught her off guard that he'd actually begin to speak to her as if they had known each other for awhile. He even explained the meaning of the Phoenix over his bed. Though Vera herself held no interest in mythologies, she found herself listening to his explanation intensely. Not because of the content of it, but because she was more of a listener than a talker. Or in most cases, a follower than a leader. What Vera could tell about her senpai was he enjoyed power and over all growth in human "spirit". She could not blame him for being upset how society had currently come to a standstill in development. Even she knew people were becoming more and more of their own worst enemy. As a thief, Vera could be put up for blame when it came to some strife among people, but how her senpai spoke it also made that seem okay. She was an opportunist.
Nodding her head to her senpai, she gave a small smile. "Well senpai you've observed correctly. I am quite the listener." When he removed the envelope from his dresser drawer, she would push off the window sill and walk towards him so they were much closer. When he offered the envelope she would raise her hand and place her fingers on its corners. However, she would not take it yet as she looked up into her senpai's eyes. He was a few inches taller than her, and was much more broad then her own smaller self. "My family has come from Russia. That is my place of birth. Have you even been outside of Japan, senpai?" Vera stumbled over her Japanese again, trying her best so he could understand her. This was the most he was going to get out of her this turn. Speaking was becoming quite a hassle, but she was too fickle and didn't wish to suddenly cut the conversation short.

| The Tsurinai watched the woman close the distance between them and grasp the envelope. He'd release it before narrowing his eyes and looking down towards her. Apparently she was from Russia, hm? That was quite interesting. She was the first Russian he had met personally. Were all of them this stunning in appearance, or was it only her? Those eyes and that hair was the first he had ever seen, other than Watanabe Chiyo, and he couldn't help but be mesmerized by it. When she stumbled over her Japanese, Naito closed his eyes and give a thin smile. Opening his lips, he'd begin to speak English for once. Though he was no professional at English, all schools usually taught it because it was one of the business languages. Next to Cantonese of course. "You're doing ve-ry good, Valentina. We can try English next if you show me the ropes." Naito's English wasn't bad at all since he was trained as a child to take up the reigns of the family business. No one in the business of making money lacked the basic know how of speaking English. After all, Americans were always quick to throw money away overseas. "I haven't been out of Japan myself, no, but my family's business does entitle some overseas work. If I ever get involved with the family business, I would be traveling around the world alot. It'd be an interesting experience, I'd like to say." The silver haired teenager crossed his arms over his chest and looked towards Vera with a tilted head. "I must say, are all Russians as exotic as yourself? Your hair and eyes catch my eye, and you're very attractive. You could put some of our better girls to shame with pure looks alone." Naito spoke with an indifferent tone, even though he was praising her. He was not flirting, he was asking a serious question, but perhaps the wording would make it sound like he was making a move on her. That was quite alright, he didn't particularly mind such a thing. Not as if it'd really affect him in any such way. | |

| Vera covered her mouth and gave a small giggle at her senpai's attempt at appeasing her English side. The fact he did try to make her feel more comfortable in the conversation made her give a smile. "Sure, senpai, I'll show you the ropes." She spoke in English herself and gave a small laugh. Taking the envelope in hand, she'd fold it and place it in her blazer pocket. When he mentioned a family business, a question marked popped up over Vera's head. Could it be he also had strong ties to his family like herself? Maybe another thief? No, that'd be too convenient. He was mostly the son of a business tycoon or something along those lines. "What does your family do, exactly? If you do not mind me asking, of course." She didn't want to intrude on his personal life too much, even though he did mention them. After all, he had already let her into his room, there was a small chance he wouldn't let her into his personal life more than that. Thanks to the talk about the Phoenix, Vera did have some idea what kind of family he came from.
When he suddenly complimented her on her looks, Vera's face was flushed red as she turned away fast. Kneading a strand of her hair between her fingers, she'd look over her shoulder at her senpai and look down towards the ground. "Thank you, senpai, for the compliment. I am not sure if other Russian girls look like me, but I am sure I am not the prettiest. But for you to say such a thing, thank you." Vera's face was extremely red at this point. She wasn't one to have any value in beauty, but she, atleast what she recalls, had never been complimented in that way before. The girl stumbled to her bag and picked it up from the floor before turning to her senpai and giving a bow. "I'll be on my way, senpai. Thank you!" And with that said the fickle first year would make her way through the door and out the room, all the while blushing and trying not to make eye contact. Darn him for making her so flustered! People would get the wrong idea with her running out his room with such a red face!

| Tsurinai Naito would cross his arms upon his chest and close his eyes in thought. She had asked him what his family did. Well, underneath the publicity they were known for some shady dealings involving the worlds of unknown. In laymen's terms they were actively interested in research involving anything abnormal and supernatural. This could come from demons, or in Ueitawa's case, Shadows. Naito wasn't entirely sure if his family had ever found anything worth noting through their underground works, but he knew they would enjoy Ueitawa if they caught wind of the Shadow activity going on here. Thinking on his toes, the Tsurinai would place a hand on his side while looking off to the side with narrowed hues. "My family is based on manufacturing future technologies for various companies world wide. It's mostly known for its A.I. Alter Ego systems, which is basically a virtual artificial intelligence that can work on separate projects while its users work on other things. It basically eases workload for its owner... Yes." Telling by the dull expression on his face, and the look in his eyes, it was easy to tell the Tsurinai was not impressed with his family's work and spoke of it with an uninterested tone of voice. People would most likely mistake this as him being uninterested in the family business as a whole, and that was severely untrue. The Tsurinai teen did have some future goals that involved getting involved with his family's affairs. The only thing he truly disliked about his family's business was his Father that ran it. The man who preyed on the weak and wanted humanity to become even weaker so he could flourish ever so brighter. Naito believed in pushing humanity to their breaking point so they no longer followed the meager status quo and worked to surpass it. It went without saying that Naito and his Father were on opposite sides of the north and south poles.
After Naito's observation of her attractiveness, Valentina's face became a bright red, and it immediately reminded him of Kiyomi Mio. She was the only other girl that could get so red in the face so fast. This made the young man cup the nape of his neck while tilting his head to the side with an indifferent expression. Girls were so weird sometimes. When she ran out his door, he'd walk up to the frame and watch her scurry off like a little puppy. Some people did watch her, and then turn to his room with blank stares. Some of his fellow male students shot a thumbs up his way, while others cursed under their breaths about how he was living the typical "Anime Protagonist" life style. Naito raised his gloved hand and placed it on his forehead and a sort of facepalm gesture. Pulling himself back into his dorm room, he'd close and lock the door behind him. "Females are so weird. First Kiyomi Mio, and now Vera Valentina. And even the Attendant. Is there something I'm doing here to get them so flustered? Tch, whatever." He muttered under his breath before returning to his desk to continue reading the book he had abruptly stopped reading to greet the young woman at his door.
