| Tycho ”Yes?”
The Biography
|
Birth Name: Tycho Aliases: Tiki, Ty, Little Bit Gender: Genderless Age: Perhaps in its 100 or so, but no one really knows. Birth Day: April 16th Species/Race Name: Anterian Species/Race that you have been spliced with: Bug/Insect Original Homeworld Name: Was born in Junction Arcana: Moon Place of Residence: This little creature can be found exploring the various Bio Domes, but makes its home in the underground portions of the Forest Dome. Academy Semester: “School? Is it tasty?” ...er we believe that means it does not go to school. Class: NA
Part/Full Time Job: Data Collector/Spirit Handler
Appearance: Tycho is a small creature about 6 inches in height and about one pound if not less in weight. Its body is pure black and doesn't seem to have eyes. Its head is made of a small white skull with long antenna like horns and large round holes where the eyes should be. There doesn't seem to be a place for the mouth, but the small creature can talk. It wears a small "cape" which is really an odd shell like material that protects its body and wings underneath. This material spreads out when it is in flight and flows with its movement as it travels or hops about. It doesn't seem to change color or clothes making some wonder if maybe the things it wears is actually just shelling and not clothing at all. The skin tightness and strange feel of the "fabric" certainly seem to suggest it is not wearing any clothes. This is something that doesn't bother the creature as there are no genitals or other body part to tell if it is male or female. On top of this its voice falls in a range that can make it belong to either gender. In a nutshell the creature is quite confusing to figure out just from looks alone.
Personality: Tycho is in a word an enigma. It is a genderless creature that seems to have no other purpose in life other than to explore, collect, and document whatever it can find out about Junction. While its family is still alive and it does visit them sometimes, the creature is more often than not found in its own home which is an expansion of complex tunnel ways lined with technology that allows that which has its permission to be shrunk down so they to can fit within the tunnels. Inside, its homes there are various books, treasures, research tools, etc that it has seemed to scavenge from the upper world and beyond...though how it got some of the larger pieces to its teleporters is beyond anyone’s knowledge. Apparently the little creature is a lot stronger than it seems. That aside, the personality of this creature is generally approachable and curious. It doesn’t have regards for space bubbles and despite being only half the size of a ruler, it is not afraid of the world of giants and approaches big and small creatures with ease. It is a humble creature if a bit strange. It’s language is odd in the fact that it uses plurals for itself, the royal “we” and of course its own name here and there when speaking to others. Despite this or how babyish it can sound, the creature is not a baby. It is actually mature in attitude, level headed, intelligent, and while not the strongest thing on the planet, it will stand up to protect itself, its territory or friends. In a nutshell, the creature is harmless unless provoked and how it is viewed honestly depends on the one interacting with it.

—Strength Name: Blessing of Crescent —Description: Crescent is Anteria goddess that was said to be able to speak and interact with the dead and unseen. It is said when she died she passed her skill down to her descendants which were hidden amongst the many in the world. Her descendants only appear one at a time marked by a moon shaped birthmark. Even after being spliced, Tycho still has the crescent shaped mark on its leg marking it as Crescent’s descendant. As a result, it has the ability to speak and interact with the spirits and otherworldly and unseen things in the world.
—Strength Name: Senses —Description: Due to the fact that it lives underground this creature has a high sense of touch, smell, taste, and hearing that allows it to pick up on vibrations and things a normal creature cannot. It also helps it traverse its home and other areas through memorization of paths and being able to travel without the need of sight both underground and in water. -----
—Racial Strength Name: Flight —Description: It is part bug and thus has wings. As a result it can fly.
Weaknesses:
—Weakness Name: Magic Bites —Description: While its body is pretty light and good at handling damage, magic still bites this little creature. +10% more damage from magic.
—Weakness Name: Waterlogged —Description: Being a bug means that while it can swim freely, there is a catch to it. When it comes out of the water its body is slow, sluggish and heavy until it dries off (takes 1 post to dry).
—Weakness Name: Magic is not our friend —Description: It is not a spell caster and doesn’t plan on being one. As a result its pool of resources to use magic is relatively smaller than normal. -10 to SP
—Weakness Name: Curse of Crescent —Description: The goddess Crescent was given the blessing of seeing and interacting with that which others cannot; however, the blessing was also a curse. Always she could see and hear that which should not be seen. Their demons became her demons that whispered and tugged at her daily threatening to make her go over the edge...and in time succeeded in what doing just that. To escaped them she choose death’s embrace, but her children - the ones with the moon shaped mark- they all suffer the same fate. The voices and images that never cease and threatens to drive them mad. For Tycho this is equally true. The unseen constantly bothers it driving it into states of unstableness and despair at times.
—Weakness Name: Blind —Description: No one would ever know the creature is blind since this creature has adapted so well to its condition and moves about and reacts to things as if it could see them clearly; however, this creature lives in a world of blurs and shadows. While this poses no issue in darkness or water, it can prove an issue at times in places where shadows and light like to dance.
-----
—Racial Weakness Name: Wings and Elements —Description: While flight is beautiful there is a catch. The creature cannot fly with wet wings and when it comes to extreme elements like cold, flying becomes more tiring and may force the creature to remain on the ground after an extended period of time.
Genetic Weapon: ((This is a Weapon and a born from your unstable genetics. You're splicing has had some... unforeseen consequences thanks as a result of being linked to the Collective unconscious, and has further mutated into a weapon. Like Demon/Shadow weapons, this Genetic Weapon can have it's own consciousness should you choose. If so, make a note of it in your Genetic Weapon description. Unlike Soulbound Weapons, this Genetic Weapon cannot be summoned and will always remain active, meaning you'll have to keep it on you at all times.))
Weapon Name: Hardened Nail Weapon Description: Out of combat the weapon is not noticeable as it takes on the appearance of the creatures regular nails and allows it to climb and cling to things regardless of direction just like any bug can. In battle, it gathers into a sword like item that consist of a small handle and a triangular shaped body that ends in a tip. It is about a 2” long and can be used with ease by the creature. Weapon Image: NA Weapon Attack Type: Pierce Weapon Element: (Leave this blank. Only special weapons obtain an element behind its blows.)

The Background
|
History: The Anterians are aquatic dwellers of an land whose name has long been forgotten. The tribe was taken when Junction appeared in their world and then after a few days of being there disappeared elsewhere. The people of the tribe were stuck on Junction and tried to keep their old ways, but as time went on and generations passed what was once history became whispers and legends as the people blended to the culture that was Junction. Some of the Anterians remained in the aquatic bio domes, while others wanted to venture outward; however due to their aquatic nature leaving outside of their domain was hard….that was until they discovered the twisted beauty that was splicing.
With splicing at their back their once restrictive bodies were finally free and they could move to places they never dreamed of moving while being as expressive as they wanted to be with what they were spliced with. The splicing tore the tribe into two - one half who was against it and stayed in their aquatic home and those that worshipped splicing and left to live elsewhere. The two tribes weren’t suppose to mingle, but Tycho’s mother and father broke the old rules and got married anyway. Tycho’s mother was a splicer that lived close to the aquatic area where she could live with ease with her husband who was pure Anterian. Unlike the tribe leaders of old they were very open about both parties mingling and in turn becoming one unified race. To prove how serious they were they not only got married, but also had a child who they gave the choice of being spliced or not. That child was Tycho.
From a young age Tycho learned about the Anterian race and also about the splicer tribe that branched off from them; however, being a child of both tribes the pure breeds on either side and the elders rejected the little creature. Even so the little creature never hated them finding comfort in its family and the spirits around it for a long time. Even when it suffered from the backlash of its ability to see the unseen, the little creature remained ever cheerful and when it was time to choose how it wanted live its life, it choose to be spliced with insects and bugs which it loved and was fascinated with, but made sure to keep some of its Anterian self, so it could still visit the underwater worlds. Once spliced the creature became an explorer of Junction that documented the secrets and treasures it found. Though where this path may lead it is a mystery.
