As always Suzie Q was alight with lights and life. Music blasted loudly from every corner as idols and would-be musicians took to the streets to perform, tourists eagerly pushed and shoved their way through crowds in a mad rush from one place to the next, and patrons of the arts gathered all across the area to enjoy yet another night of endless performances. When most thought of the district it was the concerts and singers that tended to come to mind, but among all the attractions that Suzie Q had to offer, Broadway Lane certainly was one of the most popular despite how unsung it often was. Every night people gathered to watch actors, both aspiring and professional, play out stories of all kinds and varieties. Most of the time things were fairly orthodox, but with a new play each night there was no telling what you could expect from Broadway Lane. That's why sometimes you ended up with some... strange shows, to say the least.
"This is an utter waste of my time..."
Needless to say, it wasn't common for Azami to get involved in something like this. She was a guard dog, a valuable asset of the Tsurinai Group who had been groomed for her role from a very young age, and she had little to no experience with the showbusiness industry. It seemed fate had an odd sense of humor though. Assuming what she had pieced together from the conversations she overheard prior to this was correct, a talentless unique playwright with an obscure connection to the Tsurinai Group had stumbled his way into having his show performed on Broadway Lane. Having done a horrible job of making preparations, he called in a favor at the last minute, and so Azami was forced to arrive on the scene to play the part of the play's antagonist "King Dragon." Crammed into a stuffy and uncomfortable costume, Azami was in an irritable mood needless to say, though she sucked up her grievances and committed herself to the task as she would any other mission assigned to her.
Word on the street implied she wasn't the only last-minute casting call. Apparently, the director had been forced to hire amateurs and even random students with no prior acting experience, and with such a short notice it was unlikely they had much time at all to memorize their lines. It was setting the stage for a disaster and as Azami was led out of her dressing room by a couple of handlers she could only quietly sigh in pity at the thought of what travesty was about to take place.
"Where's the knight?! He's supposed to be here!"
"Give it some time, I'm sure he'll show up."
"Time? We're beginning in ten minutes!"
As the people around her bickered amongst themselves, Azami simply sat down and surveyed her surroundings. She couldn't help but wonder just who this knight was and where he was at. Perhaps he backed out unannounced at the last minute? It wouldn't be surprising; if she was a human actor, Azami knew she wouldn't want this on her resume. Then again, if the rumors were true about them hiring inexperienced students to fill the roles then it could very well be possible he was one of them. If she cared about the play in the slightest (which she didn't) then that'd certainly be worrying news to her; the main antagonist was being played by a dog and the hero of the story would be portrayed by some faceless guy picked off the streets.

Isaac had never been to Suzie Q before.
Why would he have been? He'd never really had any business there, and most of his time was spent helping out around the house or studying. Sure, he had a few acquaintances, but Suzie Q just wasn't really their...thing? It was just one of those funny facts that crept up on you randomly as your entire world began to fall apart.
Okay, the situation wasn't THAT bad, and yet it was one that was a bit too familiar for Isaac's own liking. Running to a destination because he just couldn't say no. Now, Isaac didn't really regret taking up on the frantic man's offer. Clearly he was in dire need of help, and Isaac was more than willing to give it.
...But 24 hours was NOT ENOUGH TIME to memorize an entire script!
Hell Isaac had never even acted before! If he had known exactly what he was getting into he most certainly would have declined, and instead have offered to help the frenzied director search for a suitable replacement. But that was the past, and Isaac was...moderately confident that he knew...possibly half of his lines.
Maybe.
Either way running late certainly didn't help! He just wanted to take a few more minutes to gloss over his script, and wound up lost on his way to his destination.
Thankfully he managed to arrive with...oh, only SLIGHTLY LESS THAN TEN MINUTES to spare.
“S-Sorry I'm late! I wanted to memorize and-and I got lost and then...” Isaac stopped and stared at the people around him. It suddenly dawned upon him that he didn't exactly know who he was supposed to talk to. Where he was supposed to go. What his costume would be like. And he had less than ten minutes to figure all of that out and be ready to step on stage.
“Oh dear...” Isaac looked around the area, frantically searching for someone who looked as though they could help him.
