A Nasty Ploy (Day 2: Dawn)

Chiaki needed to hide. She could hear the sounds of looters approaching, their footsteps a sound of terror. I don't understand! thought Chiaki. Why's everyone turning on each other? Wouldn't it make more sense for people to help each other out? The girl kept running, hoping nobody would see her.

She ducked into an alley, shivering with fear. This was insane, why was the city locked down? There wasn't a plague going around, why quarantine the city?

"H-heeellllp...."

Chiaki tensed up, hearing the pained cry for help. Someone's hurt...! She took off like a shot, running in the direction of the pleading. A man was on his hands and knees, and looked like he was bleeding from the abdomen. "Oh God...." moaned the man in pain. "What happened?" asked Chiaki, running to the man's side. "Got jumped..." moaned the wounded man. "Muggers....took my wallet, my food...." "Don't worry, I'll get you to a hospital." said Chiaki, helping the man to his feet. The man smiled...and lashed out at Chiaki, knocking her to the ground. The smile became a sneer, as the man approached Chiaki. "How'd you...?" "Fake blood." answered the man, crouching and putting the knife against Chiaki's neck. "I was an actor. And good enough to fool the likes of you, girl. Gimme everything you have, or it's curtains for you."

Chiaki's eyes teared up. W-why...? Why would he do something so horrible? Oh, please, someone...help me!

As if God himself heard her request, the sound of a loud roar could be heard on the rooftop of one of the various shops that overlooked the two below. If the mugger and the young woman were to look, they'd see a white and black striped tiger the size of a small truck, and a spiky haired young man standing beside it. The man had his arms crossed over his chest and gave a cruel stare down towards the mugger preying on the weak. "You have no shame. I hope you're prepared to be EXECUTED!" His voice was cruel, and directed solely towards the male. One wouldn't think someone like him would be the type to help someone in need. After all, this girl's potential hero wasn't dressed that much like a hero. He wore what appeared to be a dress shirt with a crooked tie. His trousers were black and covered in dirt, as if he had been rolling around in a dirt patch. On his hands he wore fingerless gloves like a delinquent, and his hair was a mess and unruly. However, even though he had such a slouchy appearance. something about his eyes screamed determination. Though, that could have been because he was standing next to a beast of legend named Byakko, also known as Bai Hu (白虎) the White Tiger in China. The beast stood next by its master and was focused solely on the man who looked to harm the defenseless female. With a snap of the mysterious male's finger, the White Tiger would pounce off the rooftop and into the air above the two. Suddenly, a powerful bolt of lighting would shoot down from the sky and directly strike the mugger. This bolt was one of heavy damage, and so the mugger would not only be killed on impact, but vaporized aswell.


The White Tiger would land on the ground with grace, beside the young female, as it looked up towards its master. The young mysterious male, at this time, would be jumping down from the shops rooftop and onto a dumpster with a thud. Once doing this, he'd jump down once more to the ground level and walk over to the female. Extending a hand towards her, he'd look to help her up. "My name is Lelou, leader of the resistance fighters. You should know never to trust anyone now. This city is a death zone thanks to the bastards and lapdogs of the government, also known as the military. They're supposed to be protecting us, but instead they are killing the people in cold blood and making them live in fear. I'll make them suffer the same sort of pain if it's the last thing I do." Lelou would punch a fist into the palm of his hand, while the massive white tiger would let out a low howl in anticipation.

Lelou Stats:

"GYAHHH!"

The mugger let out one final scream before perishing. Chiaki stared in horror at the smoldering spot that had once been a human being.

"Oh my God..." whimpered Chiaki, her eyes watering and her body shaking in terror. "...you-you killed him...!"

She backed away from Lelou, horrified by his actions. "Y-you could've just used that-" (She pointed at Byakko) "-that thing to scare him away....why'd you have to kill him?! Wasn't there some other way?! "
