Part Time Job: Kaida is self-employed and will give lessons on boxing for small sums of cash. She also offers practice matches but most people aren't willing to take her up on that offer.

Appearance: Aside from the giant fist on her right arm Kaida appears pretty normal. She has short black hair, ruby eyes, the smile of an angel, and the scowl of a thousand demons. She often wears an attire consisting of what would be considered casual clothes: hoodies, skirts, tennis shoes/sneakers, and occasionally stockings when it's cold out. In general she could pass for an average high school girl. Despite this being her casual attire though she mainly passes it off for cosplaying in hopes of not raising questions about the weaponry on her arm.

She stands at 65 inches tall and weighs around 117 pounds; excluding her Shadow Weapon.

Personality: Kaida's personality would seem abnormal if you knew her history, living conditions, or anything of the sort. She's almost always followed around by a burst of energy, a cloud of cheerfulness, and a sight set straight towards the future with seemingly no concern as to where it'll be taking her. As long as she can she tends to avoid most illegal activities despite her surroundings and the large amount of them around her; not so much out of fear of consequence or a feeling of obligation to the law itself but moreso out of her own personal choice and feelings about the crime around her. The exploitation of the weak involved in many illegal activities disgusts her and because of it she attempts to refrain from partaking in any sort of criminal activity -- knowing that any boss or fellow worker could be involved in something along those lines. After all, Nadashiki was far from a moral utopia of any sort.

Kaida abides by a strict moral code. It, while rather simple, is something she holds very dear to herself. For the most part though it could be summed up in two simple rules:

1 - Don't hurt others for your own selfish self-benefit or enjoyment.
2 - Anyone who breaks rule one should be punished.

Furthermore she's rather vengeful. While she can be forgiving she hates everything about the Yachiru Corporation and will not under any circumstances listen to any defense of them. If given the chance she would gladly kill them -- seeing them as nothing more than monsters who prey on the weak. Because of her opinion about the company she also has a strong and irrational dislike of anyone associated with it to the point that she could even potentially consider them one of the ones who wronged her regardless of circumstance nor their own involvement in any of the experiments. If nothing more, Kaida will certainly keep an eye on anyone she knows worked with them in the past and will without a doubt be suspicious of them; tolerating them at best and being openly hostile to them at worst.

She can also be somewhat self-righteous at times even when it isn't about anything that happened to her. In her own eyes she decides what's right and what's wrong; being unwilling to debate anyone on her viewpoints no matter how a strong an argument against her accusations they may have.

Stubborn, joyful, optimistic, and vengeful. These are some of the qualities that make up who she is today. And she wouldn't change a single bit of that personality for all the money in the world. But what's not to be forgotten is that she's gone through tough times as well. Even the most mighty and stubborn of people can be manipulated in some way. All you have to do is promise them something they want.

The Potential

Strengths:

—Strength Name: Street Smarts
—Description: While she may not have gotten involved in crimes herself she still had to adapt to Nadashiki in some ways to survive. Due to this she has a certain eye for detecting shadiness within others... for lack of a better term. This makes Kaida harder to fool when it comes to matters of morality or legality than the average citizen would be.

—Strength Name: Energetic
—Description: Kaida's energy, while not superhuman, is certainly remarkable. Comparable to a child on a sugar rush, you'll find that she moves around rather quickly and excitedly in fast-paced scenario with less strain or stress than most would endure if they were found in the same scenario.

—Strength Name: Reflxes: Brawn and Brain
—Description: Kaida has sharpened reflexes and is at least a bit more swift at reacting to sudden motions, attacks, or obstacles than most would be. In a similar sense she's also slightly quicker at adapting to new scenarios and coming up with excuses or explanations; although that doesn't mean she'll always be successful in doing so.

—Strength Name: Physical Strength
—Description: Kaida has enhanced strength as a side-effect of the relationship between her and her Shadow Weapon. She's able to lift more weight when it's present and in general can perform physical tasks better with her right arm where it's present.

Weaknesses:

—Weakness Name: Impulsive
—Description: Kaida often doesn't use her head when it comes to situations and relies on her gut. While this can be helpful at times most of the time it just gets her or her associates into more trouble than they were in before.

—Weakness Name: Uneducated
—Description: Kaida doesn't have a proper high-school education due to her abduction and due to such matters isn't nearly as intelligent as others her age would be.

—Weakness Name: Self-Righteous
—Description: What Kaida says is wrong is wrong and what she says is right is right. Any other opinion to that is automatically equal to immediate dismissal to you from her or the beginning of a long and tiresome shouting match.

—Weakness Name: Trauma
—Description: Perhaps her greatest weakness. Though Kaida may be rather happy-go-lucky she still has problems with her life and the worst of them comes straight from her past. Her hatred of the Yachiru Corporation gives fire to her desire for vengeance, provides her with nightmares night after night, and in general is something she's very insecure about it. If given a chance to exact some form of punishment on them she'd likely take it without hesitation to make them experience her pain. Without a shred of sympathy for them, Kaida is easily manipulated by her dislike of them and the terrible memories that haunt her from her days as just another test subject.

Shadow Weapon: (This is the both a Weapon and a Shadow. You have a parasitic relationship with this Shadow, and as such you will always want it near you as it is the source of your power. Unlike Soulbound Weapons, this Shadow Weapon cannot be summoned and will always remain active, meaning you'll have to keep it on you at all times.))

The Background

History:

She remembered. She remembered everything.

Her life... It had been normal. She had gone to school, enjoyed the company of her friends, played with her mother and father. Things that seemed so minuscule at the time yet seemed so valuable latter on. In the end, it seemed that the old saying was true: You never truly valued something until you lost it. And Kaida, without a doubt, lost all of that.

She was ripped away from it kicking and screaming on that winter evening. While traveling home from school they simply took her. All she could remember was her vision slowly fading to black and then everything she had once enjoyed being lost. Somewhere inbetween that period of unconsciousness she had transitioned from her home to an unfamiliar laboratory. She had transitioned from a person to a thing; a thing to be toyed with.

Where was she? Who were all these people? And why was she here?

These questions would remain unanswered as she found herself alone within solitude. The only company she had was the scientists present to monitor and experiment on her from a safe distance; the young Kaida knowing only these strange men and women as what she could analyze them as -- her captors.

The experiments hurt and continued for quite a long time. She wasn't sure how long it had been but it seems she had been forgotten; now nothing more than a test subject to study and observe. Sorrow and despair began to overcome Kaida as she searched in her mind for some sort of desperate way to escape from it only to find none. It was one day however that things changed.

The experiments had always involved some sort of strange creature that was called a Shadow. But during one run of the test the Shadow present didn't attack her. While she couldn't remember the process entirely she remembered execrating agony and the screaming of scientists left and right. Chaos seemed to be occurring everywhere she looked as she now came to notice the large metallic fist on her right arm. It seemed that the creature had transformed into this but she wasn't sure why. Was this supposed to happen? Was this thing perhaps lending her its strength?

It seemed that she wasn't the only cause of the panic. People were moving rapidly from area to area; only a few coming in to try and restrain her. Sirens were blaring loudly in her ears and the sound of gunfire pierced what had once been a world of silence. And, before she knew it, she found the people whom had tried to stop her on the ground -- a dark red liquid emerging from them. As her eyes turned over to her fist slowly she would recognize the dripping substance on it; matching it up with that of the dead individuals on the ground.

She didn't stop to ask questions. She ran and ran in random directions; pummeling anything that raised a hand to her. The worst thing about it all was that she knew why she was pummeling them -- it wasn't just about her own survival. Rather, she wanted to see them die. See them suffer for ripping her away from her life. The Shadow... It seemed to have that desire to. After all, why else would it bond with her like it had?

Eventually she ended up outside covered in blood, sweat, and tears. She wasn't sure where to go and so... she just kept running. After a while she found herself in Nadashiki; washed off by the pounding of the rain. Though she felt drenched in it it hadn't been much; barely anyone trying to stop her seemingly as their focus seemed to be on more pressing issues -- whatever they might have been.

At first Kaida had wanted to return to her normal life. But... She couldn't. She didn't know where her parents were and it wasn't as if she could get rid of the creature that aided her. Even so, she wasn't sure she wanted to get rid of it. The fist on her right arm -- it had been her only friend in years. Did it really deserve to be tossed away like some trash; treated as nothing more than an asset or a toy like she had been?

No. There was no returning to her normal life. And because of that she made her home in the grim and gloomy city before her; laying low as she began to grasp freedom for the first time in years. Never again would they take her back to that place -- not if she and Fisty had anything to say about it!
