Appearance: Hyacintha is 4’11” in height and weighs about 100 pounds. She has purplish color hair and deep violet eyes that she wears a pair of glass over. Her skin is fair and she always wears light and colorful clothing. She appears to be cute, happy, and innocent.

Personality: Hyacintha is super friendly, bubbly, and approachable despite being raised as a very rich and spoiled brat. Anything she wanted, she got and while some would think this would turn the girl into a pain in the butt, she actually remained rather kind and caring towards others. She is smart and open to all regardless of sides; however, being sheltered, she is naïve and gullible making her easy to trick. She is sensitive and prone to crying when dealing with conflict. She runs rather than stay and fight.

She lives in a fantasy world and appears to live a care free life; however, this sweet personality hides a dark secret. While she pretends to be loving and what not, she actually more hollow than one thinks. Not exactly having all of herself, she only knows how to be happy and innocent as she goes about trying to wake people from dreams and bring happiness to the world. She doesn't seem to realize that feeding people's darkness and shadows to Snow is actually a form of murder. She sees it as a good deed.

The other thing to note, is that she is extremely attached to the “young man” that is almost always seen around her.

The Potential

Strengths:

—Strength Name: A shadow with a human form.
—Description: Snow is pretty for a mass of flesh made of the dead. If one looks closely, they will notice the male has similar looks to the girl he protects. They could be mistaken for siblings; however, these looks are not coincidental. In order to bond fully with Hyacintha, the shadow had to take something away from her. This thing it took was her negativity which usually creates a shadow self. Snow is technically Hyacintha's shadow self, but due to its container being mostly male when it took on physical form, its gender became male despite the similar physical traits it took from the girl. Due to being a piece of Hyacintha (literally), the shadow does not sink into its original messy state.

—Strength Name: Good for morale
—Description: Due to her upbeat nature and friendly attitude, Hyacintha always puts out a positive air no matter what is happening around her. This in turn can boost the morale of others around her and ease tension.

—Strength Name: Pretending
—Description: She is very good at pretending to be something she is not and having money allows her to make up her own world to live in to escape the pain of the real world.

—Strength Name: Caring
—Description: Hyacintha is there to support her friends on an emotional level as she often connects pretty easily to the people she is around. She wants to see people happy rather than sad...or so it would seem.

—Strength Name: Shadow Bond
—Description: She is bonded with a shadow and trust this particular shadow absolutely; however, while this bond gives her a protector it does have a downside.

—Weakness Name: What is fighting?
—Description: Yes, Hyacintha is loving towards her friends, but she is far from brave or strong. She will run from most danger and hide leaving her friends to contend with things on their own if it involves physical work. So Snow is handicapped in that he always has to protect her.

—Weakness Name: People Pleaser
—Description: Hyacintha tries to be in everyone’s favor regardless of what is happening is right or wrong. As a result of always trying to please others she is never herself and she often gets in trouble for things she is talked into.

—Weakness Name: I believe you!
—Description: Due to her sheltered life, she is extremely naïve of the cruelties of the reality and she has the habit to believe that everything that is said is true.

—Weakness Name: Lala Land
—Description: Another huge issue is that Hyacintha does not live in reality….at all. She believes she is some princess on a cloud with everything at her fingertips. What she doesn’t have she can buy. She believes the world is all butterflies, rainbows, and unicorns….yes she believes in unicorns. As a result, she doesn’t have a good grasp on reality making it sometimes agitating to deal with her constantly happy go lucky attitude.

—Weakness Name: I Art Thou and Thou Art I.
—Description: This is the bad side of the shadow bonding. Due to being bonded with the shadow, she and Snow share a life thread and can feel each others suffering. Meaning when he is struck she feels the pain and when she is struck he feels the pain. In a nutshell, if something happens to one it happens to the other since they are technically one.

Shadow Weapon: (This is the both a Weapon and a Shadow. You have a parasitic relationship with this Shadow, and as such you will always want it near you as it is the source of your power. Unlike Soulbound Weapons, this Shadow Weapon cannot be summoned and will always remain active, meaning you'll have to keep it on you at all times.))

Shadow Weapon Description: In the real world, Snow appears to be a young man about Hyacintha’s age. He is 5’6” in height and weighs about 140 lbs has fair skin, dark eyes that he wears oval glasses around, and dark hair. He is always wearing black and has an air of mystery around him. He follows Hyacintha around and acts as an attendant to the rich and carefree girl. His weapon of choice in battle is a crossbow that he wears on his arm. The item is foldable and so it looks like fancy arm wear when not in use.

The Background

History: Hyacintha was born into a rich family and was given whatever she wanted. She went to school because she chose to go to school, but in the end school was not easy for her. Due to her lavish life at home and pretty much living on a cloud where she could do no wrong, Hyacintha was not use to people saying no to her or even people being mean to her. Her child-like and sweet behavior made her the target for bullies and her naivety and gullible nature made it easy for her peers to trick her into doing things that either embarrassed her or got her in trouble. Despite this, Hyacintha tried very hard to fit in with her peers, but everything she did, she found that she was always shunned. So to escape the world of reality, she stopped going to school and instead decided to stay home where she could live in her dream world forever.

However, forever never lasts in reality.

Hyacintha was able to live in bliss until her 10th birthday. The day she turned 10 was the day that her dad got a new job working for the Yachiru Group doing some form of research he was not allowed to speak about. At first her father’s new job didn’t seem like a bad thing. He made good money and he seemed to be even happier in his new position than his older one; however, as time ticked on, Hyacintha’s father became a strange and intimidating person that was obsessed with his work. He would work late hours and come back wearing a strange smile that always frightened Hyacintha; however, she tried to pretend her life was unchanged. She locked herself deeper in her fantasy world. Continued to believe she was a princess and had no problems at all. She pretended the servants disappearances away. She pretended her mother’s death away. She pretended that her father was not the culprit behind it all. She dove fully into her fantasy world hoping never to escape it, so she wouldn’t have to face reality; however, reality eventually caught up with her.

At the age of 16, her father’s eye turn to her and like all that had been taken she too was swept away into the dark labs her father worked in. At first, this was not so bad. She was treated nicely by the nurses for a whole week before the poking and prodding began. Before the burning drugs were placed in her and she was forced to be around strange and twisted creatures called shadows that she fled from or did whatever she could to avoid. She didn’t want to fight and didn’t want to experience pain. She wanted to shut it all out, much to her father’s frustration. For everything she did wrong, more pain came forcing the girl to go deeper and deeper into her fantasy world to escape it.

At wits ends and determine to make Hyacintha face the shadows, her father locked her in a small room with a single shadow that was supposedly highly aggressive figuring that the shadow would either kill her or Hyacintha would finally show some form of progress and potential for being a weapon and kill the shadow; however, the results of such a move were unexpected.

The shadow that Hyacintha was trapped with didn’t try to kill her. Instead, it stayed in one corner of the room disinterested in the girl who cried and cowered as she watched it fearfully. Not understanding why the "aggressive" shadow was not attacking, Hyacintha’s father decided to provoke it and make it angry enough that it would attack; however, instead of lashing out at Hyacintha it lashed out at him. Barely making it away from the speedy shadow in time, the scientist managed to lock it back in the room and escape with only a bloody arm; however, as he leaned against the door an idea came to him. If the shadow wasn’t harming Hyacintha, then maybe it could be used in another fashion.

Waiting a few days to give the agitated shadow time to become calm again, the scientist eventually took Hyacintha and the shadow out of the room. Isolating the shadow and the girl into separate rooms, the scientist began the careful and deadly work of creating a shadow and human bonding.

First, he created a body from the pieces of the dead to make a human like container for the shadow to flow into. Then he placed Hyacintha into a deep sleep and prepped her body for what was to come next. Using careful calculations and what could be considered dark magic, the scientist was able to fuse most of the shadow into the doll. The remaining piece of the shadow he carefully bond to Hyacintha’s heart and through careful procedures made them one. Once the mad scientist was done with his work, he waited for the pair to recover and awaken again…or die.

Luckily, the pair woke up and while the bond was successful, Hyacintha body did not like the foreign item inside of her and the shadow itself did not care for its new form or being bond to a human. The pair fought against each other and threatened to tear each other apart. The situation got so bad that once all the screaming had ceased, the scientist thought for sure his experimented failed; however, when he looked into the room he found a strange sight indeed.

There was a time after the procedure where there was a lot of screaming as shadow and human threatened to tear each other apart; however, just when things seem like they were at their worst. The screaming began to cease until one day it was quiet. Curious as to what had happened the scientist looked into the room and found the most amazing thing.

Instead of a bloody mess, Hyacintha and the shadow were both in a corner, the girl sleeping peacefully on the other's lap. The shadow was stroking her hair and surprisingly looked human rather than like the mass of flesh that had been put together to hold the shadow. Quite shocked and amazed at this new turn of events, the scientist let the pair rest before allowing them to wander around certain rooms to be observed.

As he observed the pair, he noticed the shadow was submissive to Hyacintha who despite all that had happened seemed happy. When the scientist approached them, the shadow that Hyacintha had named Snow would simply watch the scientist with a careful gaze while Hyacintha interacted with him as if he had never caused harm to her.

The scientist was baffled by the behavior and the fact the shadow could hold a human form so well. Determined to figure out what it was that caused the odd behavior in both, the scientist began creating a ritual where he would visit and directly interact with Snow and Hyacintha who only seemed to grow closer and closer to each as their strength returned to them; however, no matter how much the scientist study them he could not figure the mystery out, but then again...he didn't have to. The answer came to him a month later.

The scientist had gotten comfortable with Hyacintha and Snow. He became relaxed and slowly stopped treating them as test subjects and more like his own children. He let them wander further out of their restricted areas. He let them worm their way into his heart and when he dropped his guard that is when the truth came to him.

It was a cold winter night, the scientist sat in his study pouring over work when Hyacintha appeared in the door way in her usual happy way. Not expecting her to do anything harmful, the scientist easily smiled and let her come in. They talked and had a great time for hours before Hyacintha asked him a strange question.

"Daddy?" she said in her innocent tones. "Do you finally wish to wake up from the dream?"

The scientist was confused by such a question, but thinking this was all some game he unwisely replied back that he did want wake up from the dream. With a delighted chuckle, Hyacintha ran up to him and lead him out into the hall where Snow leaned causal against the wall waiting for Hyacintha.

Bring the scientist to Snow, Hyacintha told Snow that her dad wanted to wake from the dream and in turn, Snow looked at the man with a cold smirk before it opened its mouth revealing fangs and darkness.

Before the scientist could react, the shadow attacked him and easily overpowered him as it fed upon the dark essence within the man. Hyacintha stood watching with a smile the whole time, seeming delighted that her "friend" got a good meal and that she had awoken one person from the dream. When Snow finished, it reverted back to looking human before it followed its master out of the labs.

After they left a mysterious fire broke out at the labs where everything was said to have been destroyed. A year later, the abandoned mansion that the Rose family owned was suddenly occupied once more by Hyacintha and her strange new servant. While the girl was indeed happy and her servant loyal, there was always something creepy about the pair that has made most keep their distance from the house and them.

The girl and the boy still lives in the mansion. Two shells with dark secrets.

You are not allowed to claim characters from Persona titles. Sorry, but unfortunately you'll have to claim someone else for both character and weapon even if it causes you to change more regarding the character, which leads me into my next point. It's certainly an interesting idea, but you'll have to make sure the backstory makes sense since Forgotten are experiments of the Yachiru Group as seen under the Character Types section, so if you formed a partnership with him, it'd be during one of the many experiments your character went through. You'll have to rework that backstory immensely to explain this oddity (including a Shadow coming from using Shadow Frenzy to Last Life) and have it work.

Beyond that, it'll have to be a strength since Shadow Weapons more often than not are actual weapons and cannot be Human normally. Also worth mentioning that a weakness should be put into place where if your weapon is hit, so are you so in essence, both you and your weapon share the same health, also that your character cannot fight and use skills, your "Weapon" alone would be the only one that could fight, which reveals some huge potential dangers. Finally, your Shadow Weapon you'll need to specify what weapon they use if they have one, for clarity's sake. If you can make this ambitious project work, then godspeed.

Your Shadow will only get one Crossbow to start with. They can make one down the road with a Nihil Soul, but weapons like that can not be started in pairs. As for the actual Shadow, you need a strength to mention it has the ability to maintain human form, since that's a big one, so elaborate on that bond strength. I'm a bit iffy on the history where they melded together that one time since that normally doesn't happen. But as long as it doesn't happen again, then change the rest and you're set.
