Kei stands at 6'0 and weighs at most between 150-160 lbs. His body is lean and well toned, showing he was trained to be agile rather than to brute force his ways through things. His most striking features outside of his height are his long, wild, red hair that he usually keeps in a ponytail, his deep red eyes, and his surprisingly "fancy" choice of clothing. Hey typically wears black boots with buckles on them that end in a cuff mid way up his calf, his pants are black and fits him like a glove. He usually wears a black shirt under a white colored vest like shirt that has loops in it to hold his thick studded belt. He wears a strap that goes from his left shoulder to his right hip to which ends in a scabbard that holds his a large hunting knife in it. On his hip is a strange red pendant that hangs from a chain with a fire symbol etched into it though what it is no one knows. He usually completes the look with a long jacket that has elegantly designed folds, shoulder pads, and ends in fur lining at the back. A pair of black gloves with red palms and cuffs complete the look, giving him the look of a noble or someone rich. Though no one knows how he keeps all that clean or without tears. Or how he keeps that pretty face of his looking so nice all the time.

The last thing to note is that Kei usually keeps covered up to hide the fact that his right hand arm and side is actually not normal. His body on that side is a mix of raised flesh and faintly black and red material that is definitely living. It is the sign that he and his shadow are more connected than one thinks. The area looks similar to Link's arm here.

Personality: When approaching Kei, he seems cold and stand offish and not one looking for a chat. His intimidating air only adds to this; however, if one were to get around that and speak to him, they will find the guy can talk. Kei keeps a serious air about him rarely smiling or laughing making one wonder if the man knows how to joke or have fun at all. His manner of speaking is direct and blunt. He has no issue saying what is on his mind and doesn't seem to become rattled when people become hurt due to how brutally honest he can be. If anything some outbursts simply confuses him in the end. In reality, Kei simply doesn't know how to socialize with others and the best way he has found to communicate is via a business like or direct manner as any time he deviates from this path it becomes awkward and confusing for him.

Kei views the world in a realistic way not getting overly excited about things or being so optimistic that his head is in the clouds. He often clashes with the highly optimistic who don't understand why he has to be such a stick in the mud about everything. His reputation is only further placed in a negative light because he is a hunter and is very good at killing and taking on jobs for others who cannot or will not take on the issues the waste brings with it. In a fight he is calm and focused, watching for where he can use things to his advantage for the best results. This calm and focus usually extend to anything he does, only be broken by the demons of the past that torment him and can throw him into dangerous rages where he cannot trust himself not to harm anyone nearby.

As a result of this combined with how hard it is for him to bond with people, he usually stays away not attaching himself to anyone or anything; however, despite viewing himself as someone that cannot have friends and such it can be noted that if someone persist long enough and is genuine in their actions towards him, he does shows confusion and curiosity about the matter suggesting that maybe underneath it all he does have a caring side that actually wants connections with others.

The Potential

Strengths:

—Strength Name: Weapons are designed to kill.
—Description: Kei carries two weapons around with him that can do actual damage to things and people around him. The first is his trade mark weapon Red that is usually hidden as the red flame engraved pendant on his hip when not active. When activated the deceivingly small mechanical pendant folds out into the large claymore he uses to hunt. His large hunting knife is usually in its holster and covered up by his clothing yet within easy reach for this skilled man. Thanks to the way his weapons are hung upon him, Kei appears at a glance to be unarmed.

—Strength Name: Acrobat
—Description: A skill he learned from a life time of being a hunter. Mental and physical strength are required to perform effectively in any given job. As a result, he is more acrobatic and focused than most out in the waste, has high stamina, and adapts easily to his surroundings.

—Strength Name: Control/Discipline
—Description: To master something one has to demonstrate control and dedication that thing. As a result of this form of thinking, Kei has a great amount of control over what he does and what he doesn’t do. He prioritizes well and is able to block out distractions to focus on what needs to be done. This discipline extends into him practicing and sharpening all aspects of his skills when he gets a breather.

—Strength Name: Knowing Where to Strike
—Description: Kei doesn't necessarily enjoys killing, but if he needs to do such a job he can perform it without any qualms. To get the job done in an efficient manner, Kei does study the various body structures, functions, psychology and more allowing him to know where to strike to deal the most damage or what tool to use to help him succeed in things. His tactics adapt to the situation. Note: This is not an auto-feature. He takes time to study his targets to figure out exactly what should be done in the situation before acting.

—Description: Kei has heightened and sensitive senses making him great at tracking and figuring things out simply by observing or studying what he discovers in the wild. It helps him pick up things that others usually do not.

—Description: Due to a life of nothing, but hunting and being used to kill. Kei is plagued by the scenes of death he has witnessed or has had to carry out throughout his life. The cries of those he has killed are still fresh in his head. They torment his dreams and sometimes the trauma can be triggered by what he sees or experiences in the waste. When they become too much it can throw him into a dangerous frenzy for a moment or two where he cannot recognize friend from foe. Showing that despite how controlled he is, he is actually less stable than people think. As a result of this he keeps people at a distance to avoid them having to deal with this.

—Weakness Name: Heavy As Hell
—Description: Kei's claymore is a rather large weapon that only he seems to be able to wield due to being unable to handle the sheer weight of things. Even if Kei can wield the large weapon with ease, he does take into consideration that he is slower than most opponents due to the weight of the weapon he chooses.

—Weakness Name: Overwhelm
—Description: While Kei's senses may be heightened it does come at the price of being too good at what they do. As a result too much sound, light, smells, etc can overwhelm the man disorienting him and making him a confused for a bit until he can regain his composure in it all.

—Description: Kei's light weight and build makes it easy for him to move about with acrobatic ease; however, it comes at the cost that he can be knocked about pretty easily by stronger or heavier beings or attacks. Despite getting tossed about he still gets up and keeps fighting.

—Weakness Name: Overexertion
—Description: Due to the way he has been trained, his will to live, and also just being used to pushing himself to the limits. Kei will continue to get up and keeping fighting ignoring pain and other things in order to get the job done; however, once all the adrenaline has worn off and he actually relaxes, he sometimes pays a heavy price for this in the form of either passing out or being unable to move until he has rested or been treated properly.

Shadow/Demon Weapon: ((This is the both a Weapon and a Shadow/Demon, that's been stitched to your soul. Once you've awakened proper, you can summon this weapon at will, much like that of a soulbound weapon that the other classes have. The difference being that a Shadow/Demon Weapon is used to cast skills alongside its more primitive function of striking whatever enemy is in front of you. Unlike a Persona, You need to maintain physical contact with your weapon to use its abilities.))

Weapon Description: When it comes to his weapon it is not seen unless he has no shirt on, is wearing sleeveless, or something happens to expose his right arm. His right hand, arm and side is actually not normal. His body on that side is a mix of raised flesh and faintly black and red material that is definitely living. It is the sign that he and his shadow are more connected then one thinks. The area looks similar to Link's arm here. When active for battle Sephtis channels her power thorough Kei and infuses him with power that can then be channeled outward in the form of powers or attacks. She usually makes a replica of Kei's weapon Red that he use for physical attacks against the supernatural.

Side-Arm Description: An elegant pure white pistol with black engravings of a skull upon it. The thing looks like a piece of art with a Day of the Dead motif on it; however, the thing is quite lethal in Kei's hands.

The Background

History: Kei has never known life outside of a walled room. His mother gave birth to him while she was a prisoner and shortly after passed away due to not being able to withstand the experiments she was placed under. From the time he was born, he was kept isolated from others only taken care of by people he cannot even remember the faces of since they were all hidden behind masks. He was taught to read, write (to a degree) and speak the common tongue. He was placed in classes that gave him knowledge on various subjects and when he was old enough he was put through various training that conditioned him to survive various environments and weather types and also how to fight in those conditions against the demons that showed up around his home. By the age of 10, he proved himself quite the exceptional subject and as result was selected along with 5 others to become a full weapon. The experimentation on him lasted for 5 years of his life where he was forced to bond with a creature that certainly did not wish to bond with a human. In fact it did its best to try to kill him over those five years, yet despite this the boy still stood and pushed himself to the limit regardless of what the creature inside did. To make things stranger, the boy did not hate the creature within for what it was doing. It was an impressive display and some theorize that this either impressed the creature within or it simply submitted when it found the boy's will to live simply too strong. Whatever the case was, at the end of those 5 years and after few months of recovery, Kei was only one to successful bond with the shadow that had been forced into with him and in turn he had command over the creature within. The symbol of their bond appeared in the form of a strange mutation fond of the right arm, hand, and side of the boy and the fact that his emotions were lost in some way. From the age of 15-22 he was used as a weapon by the group that created him, but then something occurred at the facility causing a large fire and the death of all that resided in that place. Only Kei survived and was able to escape, leaving many to wonder what happened back there or why only he survived. After that incident, the creature inside of him became quiet and went to sleep, leaving the boy wondering if he'll ever get his other half back again. So far he has drifted aimlessly across the waste for two years keeping to himself and only dealing with people to complete business transactions so he can get the goods he needs to survive.

I'd like to see a few combat-related weaknesses to counterbalance the extreme usefulness of a few of the strengths in PvP.

Understand that even when boosted by Sephtis, Red can still break like any other sword.
