| Another day of work had come to an end. The quiet alchemist moved from his usually spot in his abode and back out into the world where others existed. He would drift down the corridors giving polite hellos to those he encountered until he reached the bar. He considered going elsewhere to just chill about, but decided that he would go in for a drink or two to chill him out even more before doing that. Besides from the looks of things the place was quiet, so it didn’t look like he’d have too much of a headache to deal with…unless of course one like Mao came through to disturb said peace. Though he honestly hoped that would not happen again. He rather keep his calm than flip both looks and attitude due to high annoyance. After all, this was one of the rare times, the red head traveled alone. While Black Velvet could be summoned as a buffer between himself and others, he was working on dealing with people on his own and alone. Maybe he did it as some way to help himself with social skills or something else perhaps.
Whatever the case was, he would moved further into the bar to take a seat on one of the stools at the counter. He’d order himself a beer. Not exactly something he favored, but something that was bitter enough to taste despite it being like water to him. As the bar tender handed him the bottle, he would give a soft thank you before becoming quiet as he simply got comfortable with sitting exposed like this in the quiet of the bar.

| Honestly, what Shintaro wouldn't give for some blissful silence and peace at times. The ship had become far too rowdy for his liking since all these new confused people dropped in, and these random ass attacks and extra space excursions started up. So much so that he hadn't even done all of the work he had wanted to today, thanks to some racket happening just outside his place. People were so much noisier when they got restless over a crisis, and it did a number on his nerves on some days. Having decided that there was no point in attempting to focus on what he had been trying to finish after having been thoroughly distracted, he chose to head out into the common quarters instead. Might as well check out people some more, and maybe get some first-hand stories on what people thought about the current happenings....as much as the amount of interaction needed for that didn't always please him. You gotta do what you gotta do though. Soon ending up at the bar, he found it a little strange that it was as quiet as it was at the moment, given he'd expect people to be knocking back in the evenings, but perhaps they were trying to actually be more responsible in these uncertain times? He'd give them some brownie points if that were indeed the case. Regardless, he'd move over to plop himself on a stool that was one seat away from the dude with a beer, leaving one empty spot between them for personal space. It wouldn't be polite to get all up on somebody when you didn't have to, and he wasn't going to be that guy right now. Ordering himself a Mojito style drink without much of a thought about it, he'd rest one elbow against the counter, glancing at the other guy lazily out of the corner of his eye. "You running away from the annoyances too?" | |

| It might’ve been peculiar that the place was quiet or maybe they had come before the crowds. Whatever the case was didn’t matter to the red head that sat quietly with his beer. What mattered was that he had silence and calmness after all the chaos and activities that had passed by. Taking a sip of his beer, he did take note of the bird like man that came in. The blonde was familiar to the red head for he distinctly remembered him from the hanger and the space "adventures" that had occurred there. Even if familiar, the red head would not be the first to engage in conversation as he watched from his peripheral view as the other sat down a stool away from him and ordered a drink.
He was appreciative of the space even if the other did for himself instead. The last thing he liked was to be crowded when there was plenty of space to be had. In any case, he would simply take note of the other for now not really intending to do much interacting yet as he simply tried to figured out if he wanted to do that or not. Or maybe he just wanted to keep practicing being calm in the open. He might’ve actually debated his choices, but it seemed the other would make a choice for him as he decided to speak.
Hearing the voice, the red head would turn his head slightly to see the other better though his gaze was brief before he was focusing on a spot on the counter as he gave a light nod.
“Aye. That is one way of putting it,” he would say in soft calm tones before pausing a bit to observed the other. “Are you doing the same, Mr…?” he would trail off at the end to allow the other to fill in the blank if he wanted too.
