"--law enforcement has confirmed the Leader of the Platinum Playhouse is now within Cadet custody and that further investigation will continue onward for any other criminal elements related to the organization. On other news, however, Sunlake Palms have been dealt a serious blow in the local Church. Police report a body count of 54 dead and several wounded as of the last hour. Right now they are investigating whether this was some kind of Psyche-Terrorist or demon attack. A shooting spree was also reported at the approximate same time of the slaughter. Bullet holes and tears in walls and other public property have been found in the Palms, but it is unclear if there are any connections to the killing spree. Law enforcement warns citizens to never walk home alone and return before sunset. Residents in Sunlake are voicing their concerns and--"
The screen turned black as a thumb pressed on the power before slinging the remote to the side onto a table, showing Helter Skelter's reflection. What a disappointment. After all those big words on live television, not even the newcomer lasted very long against the Government's power. The woman seating near him on the couch scoffed at the news, "Even after all that, he really wasn't up to snuff. Who even gets caught in less than a week after your big debut?"
"Obviously, him. Can't believe those kids nabbed him this fast." Claire piped up as she took a leisurely sip from her morning coffee. She long stopped souring her expression at the lackluster beverage. This was their life now and not getting used to it was doing nobody favors. She then wondered out loud. ""What the hell is Julius even doing to all of the cuties in Zero? Some super-soldier program? I don't think either of us could've pinned him down that quickly back then. What do ya' think, Skelter?"
"Hell if I know. Doesn't hurt to think Boy Scout decided to amp up the standards now that we're gone. Sounds like just what he'd do." Skelter shrugged before beginning to rise from his couch and beginning to pace around the empty swathes of space in the warehouse before reaching for a stale donut. "Doesn't mean it's over yet for the Playhouse. I take it the rest are out there biding their time."
"But it's bad optics all the same. I'm beginning to feel bad for Larsinny. First with Invidia and now this. Can't even catch a break..." Alice remarked as she quickly reclined and took up the whole sofa. But soon her feet were forced to prop closer to her thighs as Claire dropped down to sit near. "Wonder what Maddy is even doing? Heard on the grapevine he's back."
"Keeping to the Backlights. The guy isn't dumb, not after word of mouth in the air and sneaking in. If it's him, he'll keep the Playhouse in order after this." The Psyche-Terrorist answered between bites of his morning breakfast. Both women were eyeing at the small smirk, of the two, Alice spoke up. "Are you not going to say hi to him or something? It's been years."
"'Might. Would be great if we can get Fido on our side, but knowing him, he's gonna stick with Larsinny. Mad as hell like a hound, but loyal as hell like a dog. Nah, we've got some work to do first. In fact, now's about time for our guest to come by, yeah?" He said while glancing back towards the dilapidated entrance, noticing a newcomer skulking inside at first before unabashedly walking before their midst.
