Appearance:

More or less animal like in appearance, Rhynex stands at a measly 2’9” (90cm), and weighs about 99 pounds (45kg), being a bit heavier than normal. Thus, his build is that of a somewhat chubby creature, his legs and arms not being long enough to even out the ratio. Somewhat dragon-esque, Rhy sports a pair of black, 8 inch (20cm) long horns, and a maw full of sharp teeth. His skin is a lighter shade of gray, with two murky orange X shaped marks, one on his belly and one on his head, and seems to have a surprisingly smooth texture. The small Bronx has no visible hair, outside of his red, slightly bushy eyebrows. On top of it all, his eyes are a magenta color, with the whites being a yellow color instead.

Rhy’s fashion sense can be described as quite simple, his body size and shape not being the most favorable towards being donned in too much clothing. His favorite piece to wear is a red cape, with a fluffy collar. He kind of likes the somewhat royal look it gives. He can be seen wearing random accessories occasionally, and can be roped into an outfit, but generally that’s the extent of his effort when it comes to the clothing department.

Personality:
A pain in the ass, but in a good way. Rhy likes to be direct and fairly outspoken in general, and tends to not hesitate when it comes to speaking his mind on a matter, even if there’s a chance to offend the opposite party, which he’s aware of pretty well. Doesn’t bother to cut back on crude speech styles either, or at least, not outside of work, where he kind of has to keep a more user friendly appearance. The small Bronx can get flashy and rambly at times, giving more tidbits than the other side probably wanted or expected to hear, but at the very least, you can know he’s usually being quite honest with you. Annoying for some, refreshing for others. Make your pick, Junction citizens.

Nevertheless, he’s a firm believer of his words, and despite the notable amount of silliness his behavior can indirectly...or even directly imply, he has a penchant for not liking ignorance, and people who willingly keep themselves in the dark, happily accepting dumb stuff as the reality. You can have fun while not entertaining stupidity in its purest form too! Or so he would say if you bothered to ask for his opinion. Perhaps he would tell you without a prompt too, however. There’s nothing you can’t say when you have full ownership of a mouth!

Strengths:

Being good at talking it off, and knowing your insults/rude words like the back of your own hand can be quite useful, you know? There’s nothing more satisfying than carefully pissing the guys who deserve it off, and watching them get mad.

—Description:
Being a smartmouth in more ways than one pays off, and you know, talking your boss into paying you a liiiillll extra is never a bad achievement. Even if you have to pick out some choice words to make it happen. On top of doing a splendid job of course ~

—Description:
May only look it distantly, but Rhy is partially related to a race of dragons that have the powers of light manipulation. He isn’t really capable of doing much related to it normally, but his awakened powers do get a bit of a kick to them passively.

—Description:
Being born on Junction, and being a bit of an anti-stupidity geek, Rhy is known for nosing around and learning his stuff. He can usually be counted on to know information about Junction, such as which person to visit for what purpose, and what is or isn’t a legit thing, assuming it is information that can be accessed and isn’t too confidential.

—Description:
That big belly ain’t really just for show folks. Rhy can eat a lot of food anytime and anywhere, and seems to be able to digest pretty weird stuff too. Like metal for example. Ever seen someone swallow a metal bar whole? No? Just watch this big maw do its work.

—Description:
An ability the Bronx normally use as a way to protect themselves from bigger creatures. Or well, to trick them into leaving them alone. Rhy is able to manipulate the pitch and volume of his voice at will, as well as replicate the sounds he’s already heard pretty easily and authentically. In combat, this ability allows him to use voice change to pick sounds/tones opponents would hate, thus increasing his chances to inflict Rage by 15%, as well as boosting the ailment’s defense debuff by 10%, if it hits successfully.

—Description:
Of course, Rhy’s way of speaking has its obvious downside as well, having the ability to easily and him into trouble as people go on and assume he’s being rude to them while he’s just using his casual speech style without meaning any true offense. Makes for rocky relationships at times. Especially early on.

—Weakness Name: Chubbo (-15% dex damage)
—Description:
Yeah, you probably guessed it. That round body isn’t going to be delivering the most amazing of punches, or any kind of hits, really. Sucks even more when your weapon is one that relies on the force of your throw, doesn’t it?

—Weakness Name: Being Small Sucks
—Description:
Gotta hate being shorter than a lot of people. It makes you liable for getting run over, or just straight up steamrolled somehow. It just screams trouble, you know?

—Weakness Name: Justice Burns! (15% more susceptible to Rage)
—Description:
Rhy can sometimes….be a bit of a hothead, ironically, and complain/act pissy more than what’s actually necessary in a given situation. The one who angers others reflects it on himself!

—Weakness Name: No Cheapass (gets 10% less VC from battle rewards)
—Description:
He likes his money gains alright, but for some odd reason, Rhy thinks himself a little above taking charity money left and right. He won’t deny it outright, but you can expect him to be a bit reluctant to grab filthy cash from dead enemies.

—Description:
It would appear that the small Bronx is an easy enough to confuse person at times, and while it may not always be a huge dealbreaker in conversation and the like, the lack of mental steadiness extends to his supernatural defenses as well. In combat, Rhy takes 15% more damage from Psychokinesis skills, and is also 20% more susceptible to the element’s ailment.

The Background

History:

There isn’t much known about the world of Prixx, outside of the fact that it was occupied mostly by barren wastelands, with most of the races living there having to scavenge in order to live comfortably enough. Rhynex himself wouldn’t know much about it either, having been born on Junction. His mother had the unlucky fate of getting stranded in the huge tower while being pregnant with him, ending up separated from her family, with only her son who would be born a few weeks after.

Perhaps the fate was being kind, seeing as Junction was definitely a more hospitable world to live in, letting the young dragon-esque creature to grow up in relative peace. Well, assuming having to take care of your sickly mother for the majority of your life since you were capable enough to handle such could be considered complete peace. It was an acceptable life however, as some other citizens clearly had it a chunk worse from what Rhy could assess.

Nothing lasts forever though, and eventually, his mother would pass away, leaving our small hero by himself in this mix of a world. Deciding to take it into his own hands, Rhy proceeded to move into a more bustling part of Junction, finding himself a place with a roommate to cut down on the rent money, and proceeded to build up some popularity at his new radio job. Who knows what comes next?
