Budding Love [Valentine Event :: Closed]

It was during sunset, a far off grove surrounded by beautiful pink trees. They only ever bloomed on this special day, a day of love and cherishing one another. Lucas had sent a letter to someone he had admired, and she had sent one back to him stating she'd meet him there. It was a beautiful evening, windy enough for pink petals and emerald leaves to flutter within the wind. It was mesmerizing and enchanting.

"It's a pleasure to see you again, precious Seina." the suave voice of one Lucas Sauvage would say, extending an arm out to a beautifully dressed Seina Cray.

"You should find yourself lucky I replied. I get many letters of admiration, yet I chose yours. Why I wonder...?" she'd say with a flitting laugh, taking the man's hand and letting herself be brought closer to him. They'd stand there, under the branches of those pink trees, a faint glow surrounding them.

They'd begin to dance, spinning and twirling each other as the night grew long. It was something the two had never felt before... This closeness, yet it felt wrong in some ways. Perhaps it was too soon, or perhaps they simply were too young. Regardless, such concerns would abandon them as they simply enjoyed the moments they had. It was beautiful to witness, mesmerizing to see.

"I wrote you a poem, precious Seina." he'd say with a somewhat whimsical tone to his voice.

"Did you? Well, am I to hear it this night?" she'd whisper with the faintest hint of curiosity.

They'd break their embrace, Seina producing an oriental fan from her sleeve to begin dancing alone within the falling petals. Lucas would stand back, watching her as he produced the book he had written the poem in.

"To see you is to yearn,
To be with you is to suffer.

I wish to know you, to learn
the things that make you flutter.

For you are what I want,
and fraught with fear I reach out.

It is I who falls, for you see I can't
reach past the wall that keeps me out.

Bare with me, let me hold you.
Let me be what you desire."

"Forgive me, I am quite rusty..." he'd say with a somewhat pained look on his face, only to be greeted by a tender kiss from Seina. She'd smile up at him, waving her fan before taking off. Little was said, and Lucas was left alone under the pink tree's gentle light.
