Appearance:
Phoenix stands at the height of approximately 5’11’’ (180 cm), weighing about 209 lbs (95kg), making him a bit heavier than a normal human would be at such height, despite the fact that at a glance, his build is fairly lean and would likely lead people to guess he is lighter than that. It’s not a huge difference however, as his metal parts weren’t made out of extremely heavy materials to begin with. While being an android, he is made to look completely human, and is typically not distinguishable for what he is under normal circumstances (assuming that everyday people don’t attempt to dissect others and any activities of that kind).
His skin is a rather pale color, which makes his red-tinted eyes stand out more than usual, coupled with light blue hair, making him perhaps even come off as a little eccentric when it comes to looks alone. Largely unbothered by that fact, he tends to go ahead and match his attire with his slightly odd appearance to boot, and can often be seen donned in light blue clothes, or alternatively different shades of blue. His favorite is the light blue jacket with a hoodie containing fur which resembles cat ears, and he can be seen sporting that one quite often. Outside of that, he seems to lean towards either very dark or very light colors in general, albeit he isn’t strictly against any kind of clothing, for as long as it doesn’t bring about unpleasant attention he could do without.
To the average onlooker, Phoenix may give off the vibe of being constantly bored, or simply not very interested in the happenings around him. One could call his presence almost unusually laid-back, in a sense. Whether it is something he does on purpose or not is generally unknown, but he can change his overall demeanor if he happens to be interested in someone or something enough. People may initially mistake his stance as him not wanting to actually be bothered or interrupted, however.

Personality:
One of the simplest ways to describe Phoenix would be to say that he's a habitually detached person. While in no way lazy or a slacker deep down, he gives the image of being at least mildly disinterested or not excited in the majority of day to day situations. However, that is in fact mostly just a front he presents to the outside world at glance, only amplified by him existing as a machine, and not having to be affected by typical human sentiments as easily as a normal person.
Behind the laid-back attitude though, he is a rather willful and determined person, who will do what he has to in order to accomplish a goal that comes his way. While he isn't openly a controlling guy, he isn't above using less fair tactics against people to get his way, even if he may take deliberate time to show his true intentions to the world. Rather secretive in nature due to the circumstances behind his creation, he walks the path of life mostly for his own gain rather than anyone else's, even though he will join forces with others when the situation calls for it.
There is a certain sort of tenacity running under the surface, which can certainly come as a surprise to the people who label him as somewhere on the opposite side of the spectrum thanks to the face he naturally offers to those around him, but he pays it little mind, as he stands for the belief that people are very easy to manipulate whether by acts of pretense, or by manipulating through the use of their wants and desires.

He has very effective processors in terms of memory and back up of data, giving him the ability to recall anything he takes part of or reads almost perfectly no matter how much time has already passed since then. It proves to be an useful tool when needing to make educated decisions.

—Description:
Combined with his ability to retain information, he is known to actively seek out new knowledge, and can for example be seen reading various books to pass the time during the times he works as a librarian, giving him a head-start over other people when it comes to smarts.

Being made out of metal makes one naturally more sturdy than having a human body, and thus he possesses quite a good deal of physical strength, allowing him to hit really hard, even to the point of putting dents in walls almost effortlessly.

To achieve one's goals, one can't really be very hasty or rush when unnecessary, and Phoenix certainly has a lot of patience when it comes to dealing with things that could prove to be of benefit in the long run.

While he is indeed very much metallic, his build was constructed in a way so that it wouldn't weigh him down a lot, or obstruct his movement in any way. In fact, he's actually fairly swift on his feet and is capable of fast reactions to his environment.

While he may be a smart one in general, being a social butterfly is not his forte. His interaction style can be pretty direct and devoid of extra coddling or niceties, which can occasionally make him a person who is harder to get along with than normal.

Having adjusted his build for speed while not disturbing the typical extra power that comes along with being made of metals has however brought about a different kind of loophole. Even if he stands well physically, his make up isn't greatly protected against damages of magical nature.

Being strong is a great asset, but can also prove to be an annoyance in normal life. If Phoenix isn't careful, he could end up accidentally causing harm to someone, or roughing up items he would rather not.

It would appear that his patience applies even when it comes to forming relationships and bonds with people, and he isn't inclined to be buddy with new acquaintances very fast, regardless of whether he keeps in contact with them or not.

The Background

History:
''People always do what they themselves want, do they not?''
There was once a young man by the name of Phoenix Flint, living in the city which was later to become the Endymion it is today. And just like the original city went to ruin with time, so did his life, even though the city's demise was only the icing on top of the cake in his situation. Phoenix used to be a good, nice guy, one most parents would be glad to have as a son. Such an ideal equation easily goes out of the window when other unpleasant factors happen to be involved, however. His dad was a hopeless alcoholic, and had a very bad habit of taking it out on his son whenever he was drunk beyond reason. His mother, too scared to do anything about it, never really gathered the resolve to stand against her husband, thus the family situation remained stuck in a vicious circle for a rather long while.
Everything must once come down to a breaking point though, and so it did, when the Eternal Divide struck. Being beaten up so often is already no small feat to deal with, and when one adds the sudden threat of demons into the mix, no wonders that disasters would happen. Deciding that there was no point in fighting on anymore, Phoenix made an attempt at suicide...and would probably have succeeded...
...if it wasn't for his mother. She was no strong woman, as shown by her inability to stand up against what had been happening this whole time, but when all the tragedy was falling down at once, along with the possibility of other relatives of the family being lost due to the demonic outbreak, she broke down. Unable to cope with the idea of losing her son, she went as far as to make a deal with her adoptive brother, who at the time, was quite successfully aiding researches on the creation of androids made to battle the pesky demons overflowing the streets.
The rumor goes that they attempted to salvage the young man's memories and recreate him into an android body as his human one was in no condition to be saved anymore. That, in exchange for the promise that he would aid his uncle and whoever the man works under when he happens to be needed.
Whether it was truly a success and the one known as Phoenix today is in fact in hold of all his previous memory, or is just acting the part of who he should be based on what he had learned about himself is largely unknown, as he is not keen on revealing things related to it when asked.
Since the incident, he has lived with his uncle for a brief amount of time, and now lives on his own as he seeks to stand high enough to be able to teach people just what it can mean when they acts on their selfish wants, even if he has to accomplish that by following a similar path...
