Hrm, well, it seemed to be going well. She didn't need to intervene with the next attack, despite it being fire-based... so simply, Rita stayed quiet, observing what was going on next. Nero, in the meanwhile, snapped her finger, and as she did, the daggers stabbed into the monster glowed for a second, renewed. "Interesting..." The silvernette muttered under her breath, then looked at Simon. "Simon, do you think you can tell me what you can do? I would like to know the capabilities of all my comrades." The word she used, comrades... it applied to everyone here. She wasn't going to examine every single one of them, but she knew almost everyone's abilities. Only Simon and one other person were a mystery to her when it came to that, and she was already starting to get a feel for both.

A the flames approached Jack sighed and leaped over them with little effort, his super mode giving him the needed speed boost to avoid such a simple attack. Though... while what he was doing would scientifically be considered ''Totaly tubular'' and ''Way past cool'' the implications of the strategy that the team was employing finally dawned on Jack.

As he landed he folded his legs and skidded along the ground int he lotus position for a few feet before coming to a stop ''I gatta say... This is not the fight I was expecting. Don't get me wrong this whole, take things slow approach is working and all, but I can't help but feel a little disappointed.'' With a sigh Jack would turn his head to where Simon stood ''Simon, how ya holden up man?''

This battle seemed to be going alright. Nothing too major like the first round of attacks. This was better than Joshua could even ask for. It's slow, but they weren't taking any damage or any known risks. Everything seemed to be alright. But...

Joshua looked back at Jack with a look of derision.

Really. Did he seriously come here for fun? This thing they were attacking was most likely something that spelled doom to humanity. And fun was all he could think of when coming into this battle? At the least he certainly knew not to take this guy seriously anymore. What a joke. This costumed manchild was just here for the sake of the Power Ranger experience of "saving" people and fighting for his own self-gratification. This guy needs to stop screwing around.

The thought of it really made him want to punch him in the face. But, now's not the time since there's always a time and a place to start shit. Though he felt like it was really beneath him to even talk with this flamboyant idjit anyway. In any case, they have an Egg, with tentacles, to beat.

This stall was seriously starting to feel like a drag. Sure it copied attacks, but that alone shouldn't mean they needed to just stand there and throw 'pebbles' at it for ages, did it? There had to be a way to deal damage and ensure they wouldn't get hit back as hard. Because this was going to be an endless tirade at this rate. And if it started copying their buff attacks regularly as well...that would only prolong the battle more. ''Would you rather rush it and possibly get someone badly hurt, Jack? It's not only you and your want to show off your skills here. It is a pain to stall, yes, but it's still better than most of us getting in trouble because someone gets overexcited.'' Well...it didn't seem extra likely that it would get them killed...but it could always happen, as shown by the initial blow up of Simon's first attack. Though, he hoped they would come up with a better strategy than just standing there soon....because that might not be the best answer either, just like head on attacking isn't.

Simon shrugged at Rita. "It's fine, and I'll be okay. I got this. Focus on the enemy and I'll do what I can. I don't plan on standing back though, so hang in there. If something happens you guys won't get hurt too much. So stop playing so nice with this thing and go on the offensive. Don't you have the key to what it does?" he said, as Grey placed its hands towards the ground, sending another single tremor towards the foe. Even Rinna was a little peeved that they weren't getting the drop on this thing. "Why CAN'T we kick this thing's ass? Can't you all stop being cowards and actually fight?" She hated that she was listening to this kid's recommendations, but at least Simon had the nerve to not care. Then again, he definitely cared about these people and was willing to protect them, but the more they tried gauging what they already knew, the more time was wasted. No one here knew how he used to be, but he would have hung in the back were he who he once was; however he had changed. He was no longer afraid to take risks, something that these folks needed to learn.

Rita frowned and crossed her arms, understanding what Jack was saying. "I feel Red-chan's pain here, personally. I have some moves only I can do, y'know... just try and copy them if you can." The silvernette narrowed her eyes as Nero vanished, the ground around her User glowing before bursting, a ring of flames appearing on it. Just as well, Rita now seemed to be surrounded in a crimson red aura, as her eyes glowed bright. "I won't go all out just yet, but I need to make this painful... kill it before it even gets to try and copy it." She was focused and ready to go, her flames would burn away any trace of this thing's appearance. Hou-ou was raring to go too... all three of them were.
