There were those days when he didn't mind, but then there were those when he actually considered regretting the fact that he even had a cat. Sharaku scowled when the black furball decided to just run off somewhere when he opened the door. Of course, he had taken his cat outside before, but he wasn't really fond of the idea of Kage wandering around on his own. That mischievous cat would probably end up irritating some people when he wasn't around. He did not feel like dealing with that. Therefore, he made to follow the four legged devil, determined to not let anything happen.

Eventually, he found himself staring up a tree, with his cat sitting on a branch, staring back at him. And obviously, Kage had no intention of getting down anytime soon. Why did this happen to him...? ''Come on.'', he would mutter under his breath, pretty much just continuing the staring match for now. Maybe he should go climb the tree himself. He could do that....

Top-Cat walked down the street his usual daily routine a lit cigarette hanging loosely from his lips. Double saw a cat on the tree Double then climbed up the tree itself meowing a few times in conversation. Top-Cat walked toward the man He took off his Top Hat and bows "My name is Top-Cat it is a pleasure too meet you good sir" Top-Cat said. Top-Cat then put his Top-Hat back on his head Top-Cat smirked cigarette hanging from his maybe today wouldn't be the usual.

Sharaku would raise an eyebrow when a strange looking cat appeared all of a sudden. What? He didn't have much time to do anything about that, however, as he soon had to turn around when hearing a voice addressing him. Golden eyes would narrow a little. Why was someone approaching him for no reason? ''The pleasure is mine. Might I ask what is it you want of me?'', he'd answer simply, keeping a polite tone. Meanwhile, Kage would proceed to wave his tail at Double, before hopping off, his new object of attention being the man, as he walked over to paw at his shoes.

"Well my partner seems to taken interest in your as she usually does" The two tailed cat Double jumped down to the mans shoulder sitting upon it like a parrot. Top-Cat smiled at the man standing across from him today was going to be interesting indeed. "Anyways this is my partner Double" Top-Cat stated. "To answer your question you usually don't see a man In a Top hat chase around a cat in broad daylight in Penecia, well besides myself I mean it just seemed interesting is all" Top-Cat liked interesting situations he learned to like thanks to his strange luck. Top-Cat liked interesting situations even when his luck was bad life was a gamble after all. Top-Cat smiled again "Anyways I haven't got a name hopefully I didn't do something to offend you" Top-Cat was generally wondering even though he had a completely straight face on.

((OoC: Sorry for being late. Kind of forgot this for a moment. Also, he's not wearing the top hat now, just so you know. I kind of wonder why people so often assume that by deafult, when I do not mention that fact in my post. It's not like he always wears the same outfit .-. Besides, I don't see him taking the time to put on a hat when having to go chase a cat, because logic lol))

Sharaku's expression would still be a little skeptical. Was that really worth so much interest? It isn't like an animal wouldn't decide to run around once in a while, and he was pretty sure he was far from being the only person in Penecia to own a cat. A weird reason to stop by. ''I don't see it as uncommon, to be frank. Plenty of people own cats around here.'' Maybe it was just him, but he did not find it worth fussing over. He would frown a little. ''The name's Sharaku Rikei, and no, but I am not used to complete strangers approaching me out of blue, with a rather strange reason along with it.'' And things like cats with two tails. This guy was a little out of place, to be honest. Then again, he was too, due to his rather peculiar looks, but at least he did not go out of his way to appear creepy like this. Either way, he would just stare at the other man passively, while Kage busied himself looking up at the duo curiously from the ground.

"Hmm yes well I've always had a hard time talking to normal people" Top-Cat looked away his luck with people was always bad. "Hmm crap I lost the bet again that's what happened, I was supposed to go pay off my debt damn they are closed for the day by now" Top-Cat was not talking to himself but the two tailed cat perched on his shoulder. Double just meowed at him to remind him of the man standing across from him. "Anyways as I said before sorry If I offended you in any way you city folk do like to keep to yourselves don't you I always forget about that" Top-Cat apologized for his rude manners yet again. Top-Cat took a deep inhale of the lit cigarette hanging limply from his lips, he blew the smoke to the side so it would not go in to the mans face causing him discomfort. Top-Cat sighed it started to sprinkle rain just his luck it was going to start pouring down any moments judging by the storm clouds in the sky. Top-Cat glared at the storm clouds in the sky hoping they would go away but then there was a thunder clap. "Man my extreme luck sucks some times.." Top-Cat muttered to himself but it was loud enough for the other man to hear no doubt.

...Eh? To say the truth, Sharaku was utterly confused by now. The mutterings about bets and luck threw him off. What did that even have to do with the current situation? He wasn't getting it at all. He would blink a few times, just looking at the man with a slightly confused expression. In light of his sanity, he decided to forego the bet statement, choosing to address the following one. ''Not neccesarilly. For me at least. What I'm doing has nothing to do with the fact that I'm from the city. I'd say it depends on the individual. Someone might like getting 'jumped' out of nowhere, I don't. Simple as that. I am not offended. I just don't find it very comfortable.'' The simple truth was, that approaching a person with a weird reason...was weird. Obviously. You don't know what to expect out of people these days.

He would proceed to look upwards at the clouds, not really phazed. ''I don't see how does rain have anything to do with your luck specifically. It would rain whether you were here or not. One person's luck won't control the nature...'', he would shrug indifferently, not even sure what to think of this strange 'small talk'.

"Trust me there are people that have something like supreme luck and I do believe luck has something to do with the weather it was sunny just a few seconds ago" Top-Cat said frankly. The man fixed his top hat "Me strange I was about say the same about you" Top-Cat stated honestly. "Anyways I'm sure you've noticed the islands have been strange for quite a while now I know I cant be the only one to have noticed this" Top-Cat again stated very bluntly. "Basically what I'm trying to say is that strange people are bound to pop, and personally I'd rather be completely strange then what people refer to as normal" Top-Cat said normal people were simply boring to him. "Plus the 'normal people' all think the same I don't know why these days people don't want to accept help from anyone, I guess it is one of life's mysteries, I guess I'm just the type that likes to help people out of the goodness of my heart most people these days would try to make a profit off of it" Top-Cat said.

''Even if that was true, there is no proof the rain came because of you. It could have been someone else. Either way, I still don't believe the nature considers the luck of some person to decide what is it going to do.'' So what if it was sunny a moment ago? There was no reason to outright assume it had anything to do with one person. Like hell Sharaku was going to believe weather was that picky. It made no sense to him whatsoever. ''Maybe I am strange, but at least I don't make that double by approaching others in a strange way to top it off.'' He wasn't going to deny that he wasn't exactly a normal person. That was probably easy to see, even if only from his looks.

He would scoff a little. ''In fact, being strange in terms of what you just refered to, is dangerous.'' It was a bit naive to want to be weird. What good did it do? Following the trend was a bad idea here, seeing as the strangeness was related to things that weren't to be trifled with randomly. ''Why? Easy. Accepting help from a stranger? How do you know they aren't making a fool out of you, and just trying to scam you in some way? One person being honest doesn't make up for the plenty that are not. Precautions are normal. Not everyone will trust easily. There is no way to know, even if you state so. You could easily be lying about being genuinely helpful.'' It didn't pay off, in his opinion. You'd just spend all your time convincing people that you truly mean it. Except for those that believe everything. There were those as well, but you had to search.

Top-Cat simply smiled "I don't mind being token advantage of as long as it is for a good cause". Top-Cat "Sorry to hold you up I didn't mean to hold you up to chat about my own problems I will be..." Top-Cat was interrupted in mid sentence. A homeless man in his mid sixties came up to him "TC you remember when ya told me to dig up some dirt on the Yachiru Group I'm sorry I couldn't find any info" he whispered in his ear there was no possible way Sharaku could of heard what the homeless man said. Top-Cat pinched the bridge of his nose he then made an ok symbol with his hand and pointed with his thumb the homeless man nodded and simply left. Top-Cat smirked and was about to do something but he couldn't remember what it was, he knew something was about to happen but he didn't know what would happen. Top-Cat's normal frown returned "So do you know were the nearest Casino is Sharaku"?. Top-Cat asked him a question as he blew more smoke from his cigarette to the side. Top-Cat's smirked he decided to tease the other man he was just having fun now, maybe he could gamble some more to get his mind off of things. Top-Cat knew he probably looked quite strange to Sharaku so it didn't matter at this point might as well have fun.

...Was that so? ''And how would you know it's for a good cause? I personally wouldn't have that. If I want a good thing to happen, then I do it myself, not let someone take advantage of me for it.'' What was the point of that? You could rarely be sure what the other party has in mind for real. It's risky to let someone have a lot of control in a situation unless you know what you're doing. Sharaku most likely wouldn't unless it was completely inevitable.

That said, he would just keep standing there with an indifferent look at the man conversed with some old guy. It had nothing to do with him, so he had no reason to bother. ''No. Why?'', he'd respond simply when asked about a casino. What was that all about? Didn't the guy just say he'll be leaving or something of the sort before getting interrupted?

"Oh well maybe I will see you later Sharaku!, after all stranger things have happened life is a gamble after all" Top-Cat stated. Top-Cat smirked things were getting interesting in for him. "Well Sharaku my 'Friend' I bid you adieu" Top-Cat then took off his hat and bowed he then smiled and put his hat back on. Top-Cat left it started pouring directly on Top-Cat the rain seemed to follow him as he went. Top-Cat sighed he really did hate his extreme luck maybe Sharaku would believe in luck now probably not. Top-Cat disappeared he needed to find the nearest casino he needed to gamble to get his mind off of current events. Top-Cat through his cigarette in the nearest trash can he seemed to be prepared for the oncoming storm pulling out an umbrella from under his Top-Cat the bearded man then put his Top-Hat back on. Top-Cat then disappeared into the distance a lot on his mind.

''Maybe.'' Sharaku honestly couldn't come up with a better response at the time. He still hadn't proccessed what did that previous question about casino mean. Because apparently, it didn't result in anything? This guy was confusing, and he didn't like racking his brain when it didn't feel necessary. What was the chance he would meet this strange man again? Sure, the world was apparently small, but he wasn't going to bother unless he was faced with something. It wasn't important enough. He had million other things to care about that did not involve a strange guy.

Maybe he should just go back home, before Kage decided to flee him again.
