The Biography

Birth Name: Oki Akumura
Aliases: The Cheshire Cat
Gender: Oki does not define itself as male or female, but it is generally assumed to be male most of the time.
Age: It appeared to be about 15 within in Arzoes Part I. However, now that time has passed it currently looks to be 17 years old; however, its true age is unknown.
Birth Day: January 13
Arcana: Hanged Man
Place of Residence: It used to resides in an old antique shop on San Malarus Island; however, after the first set of events that went through Aroze, the shop was burnt down and never rebuilt. Since Oki disappeared in search of its friends when it all ended, the creature is nomadic and doesn't seem to have a home any longer.

Part Time Job: It was designed to be an Information Gatherer; however, after the Event that took place in Arozes, the being's job is unknown as much has shifted with time for the creature.

Appearance: Oki is a pale skinned being that is 5'1" in height and weighs 115 pounds. The clothing that it wears are tailored to fit the thin and athletic frame. The clothing are unique and may at first seem a bit over the top and more problematic than logical; however, Oki gets around pretty well in the odd clothing and somehow manages to keep its hat on its head no matter what it does. Oki has short black hair and cat like green eyes that always seems to laugh at the world as if Oki has a secret no one else knows.

After the Event that occurred in Arozes, Oki disappeared from the world in search of its friends. While it is uncertain what happened during that time frame, what is known is that when the creature did return it was nothing like its original self. While height and weight did not change, strange markings appeared on the creature's face around the cheek area that looked like some form of embedded crystal that rested flush with the skin, making it appear painted on rather than actual crystal. Its usually mischievous green eyes seemed to hold madness within them and its skin became as pale as snow. Its teeth had become sharper than normal and its clothes became a strange patch work of fabrics sewn together. Its black hair had become blue and the mark on its back where the Ninetailed Fox use to resided has become a strange stainglass looking pattern of a purplish red rose surrounded by blue petals though what that means is unknown. Disheveled and seeming more unstable than normal, this new version of Oki had everyone concerned about what had happened to make the creature change in such a way.

Personality: Oki is odd. Very odd. While the being that is called Oki appears to be 15 years old, it is actually as mature as someone about 27 years old and has a vast amount of knowledge about various things. What it doesn't know it finds out through books, websites, hacking, and even trading with underground sources if necessary. Oki has no boundaries on what it will do for information. It loves to collect and the more new stuff it gets the happier it seems to be.

On top of this, Oki is curious with a love for exploring. It will walk around new places and is unafraid to go into abandoned areas or even live in them. Oki doesn't understand that it is not suppose to do that and it does not understand the proper rules of engaging in conversation with another.

When dealing with Oki be aware it will get in your personal space. It circles people and things and looks at them from all angles. It is not being rude, but simply taking in data and locking it away. It doesn't understand it is not suppose to do these things and sometimes this can cause some awkward situations if one does not nip the action in the bud.

Oki is intelligent and doesn't understands emotions well. It doesn't mean any harm by its actions and assumes if one allows it to enter their personal space then it is okay, so it sometimes becomes confused when emotions overflow and turn to anger from those who are not direct with it. One doesn't have to make a scene to get Oki to understand what is acceptable and not acceptable, all one really needs is patience and understanding.

Oki is typically on no one's side, but if you can befriend the strange being then one will find that Oki is kind, loyal, and reliable despite its strangeness.

Many of the traits listed above still remain. Oki is still stranger than ever, loves to explore and seeks out information like no other; however, there are some things that have shifted also. While Oki most certainly can and will invade personal space, it will only do that if it knows someone or if one is brave enough to actually interact with the creature.

Interactions have become a challenge due to a strange air that lingers around Oki causing most to freak out or back away. The odd air comes from its shadow who is more one it than before. The merge of the pair has not only caused a look change, but also a mental state change.

Oki was already breaking under the strain of the Event and when it ended the crack only grew when it discovered someone precious to it had died and another had completely vanished. This caused the being to fall into despair. Add on top of this the disappearance of the angel it once served along with the power it had gained from her, Oki's already cracked state couldn't handle the deep loniness it felt and so in a way broke. In its broken state, the mental defense it once had to keep its shadow at bay fell and while the shadow did not wish to harm Oki, it could not resist its natural urge to feed off the negativity within the being.

The constant feeding caused the pair to merge and when they merged Oki became more unpredictible and less logical than before making it very hard to tell what it might do. To make matters worse, Oki's heart has seemed to be crushed in a way that it doesn't seem to care what happens to the world anymore, making the creature's way of thinking nihilistic and broken. Despite the broken state, the creature still shows surprising loyalty to friends and allies alike, but why is unclear.

The Potential

Strengths:

—Strength Name: Durability
—Description: Oki was designed to take hard knocks and outlast the average human in most situations so that it could go into any situation and gather information successful. This does not mean it cannot be hurt or broken, it simply means its body can handle a bit more stress and pain than normal.

—Strength Name: Acrobat
—Description: Oki is flexible and agile. It is able to perform many acrobatic moves that it uses in battle, but also move around in day to day life.

—Strength Name: Mental Connection
—Description: Oki is mentally connected to its shadow weapon allowing it to communicate without words to the creature both in and outside of the shadow realms. In the shadow realms, this allows the weapon to move freely and work in sync with its owner. It has to remain within 20 feet of its owner for this to work though otherwise the connection is lost.

Old Strength (Arozes - Part I):

Old Strength (Arzoes Part I):

—Strength Name: Duel Wield
—Description: This strength allows Oki to wield its real world weapons – a pair of dual blades – within combat and also strike twice in one turn. Between this, its acrobatic skills and its mental state, Oki is an efficient and deadly fighter.

—Strength Name: Always Armed
—Description: This strength allows Oki to carry with it a pair of fighting daggers that it keeps hidden within the various folds and belts of it clothing. On top of this it allows these weapons to be used in the real world to do real damage to an opponent or thing. When in the shadow world these blades are replaced by Oki’s shadow weapons.

Weaknesses:

—Weakness Name: Easily distracted
—Description: This really shouldn't have to be explained, but it is very easy to knock Oki off track. Whether it be that sparkling thing over there or that cute little duck over there or even food, if something catches Oki's eye, the being will more than likely wander off to examine it than listen to what is being said. Also its high curiosity causes it to poke into things that it probably shouldn't which may cause problems for itself or those around it.

—Weakness Name: Collapse
—Description: One really bad thing about Oki is that it doesn't feel exhaustion....and due to this, it never knows how seriously tired it truly is until its body collapses. This does not mean it is unconscious it simply means it cannot get up until it has rested for a bit. This issue has been has only been amplified by the Curse Oki now has to deal with. While its clothing hides most of it, there are stain glass like patterns on its body in the shape of flower petals. The petals are scattered all over and seem to come from the kitsune tattoo that has become stained glass like that sits at the center of Oki’s back. While the tattoo does not move or show any signs of life, it does seem to gain more petals around it as time goes on. What happens when the stain glass petals takes over no one knows; however, a result of this, Oki seems to have become numb to pain meaning now it doesn't even know when it is injured until it has collapsed. Much like exhaustion the creature is still awake; however, the danger rests in the fact it cannot act at all in this state when in battle. It takes healing or a rest period of three post for it to get up from this within battles.

Old Weakness (Arzoes Part I):

—Weakness Name: Twisted Perception
—Description: Due to the mental blow and the leakage of its shadow into its system, Oki does not see the world as a warm place full of hope like it used to. In fact, its perception of reality is bleak and gray giving it a nihilistic view on life and the world. In the end everything is pointless for it all ends. As a result of this, it no longer holds guilt for what it does or doesn’t do and it is not swayed as easily by plights of hope.

—Weakness Name: Mentally Unbalanced
—Description: Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Despair, Acceptance…These are the five Stages of Grief and it seems as if Oki is caught somewhere between denial and anger most of the time; however, at others it seems to fall into the bargaining and despair categories making it flip from one mood to the other without warning. It has yet to show acceptance of the events of its past, leaving it an unstable mess upstairs. As a result of this, befriending the creature is harder due to the fact it is afraid to let anyone close to it again on fear of losing them. Also, old friends may find Oki challenging to deal with since the creature often snaps or goes into strange fits when the past brought up.

—Weakness Name: Beast
—Description: This trait shows up typically in battle, but also appears in the outside world in the form of madness. Oki is no longer logical and often times will do or say things that won’t be comprehended by normal society. The reason this is occurs is because there is no longer a distinct line between itself and the shadow within. Thanks to this, Oki will not always think like a human, but rather a shadow instead making it tricky to deal with. In a battle this amplified. While it can tell friend from foe, its high aggression and sometimes brutal nature is hard to swallow by some. The merging has definitely shifted the being into something caught between the shadow and human…A strange mix that very few can understand.

Shadow Weapon: (This is the both a Weapon and a Shadow. You have a parasitic relationship with this Shadow, and as such you will always want it near you as it is the source of your power. Unlike Soulbound Weapons, this Shadow Weapon cannot be summoned and will always remain active, meaning you'll have to keep it on you at all times.)

Shadow Weapon Name: Persephone
Shadow Weapon Description: Of the many odd things on Oki, the oddest and most out of place item is the small bear like charm that hangs like a badge of honor near Oki's left shoulder. this cute yet creepy little bear seems innocent enough, but there is something about the bear that suggest it may be something more. In the normal world it just a charm, but in its homeland the little charm takes a life of its own.

Above is how the weapon was before it was empowered with the power of the angel known as Deva. When Deva's power entered it, the shadow became too powerful for the small charm it was in and instead sunk into its owner and became a tattoo that covers Oki's back. The tattoo is in color and is of a strange nine tailed fox wielding an odd sword. In the real world it is a tattoo that radiates with power that only those sensitive to the supernatural can senses. In its home world, the creature becomes a large fox that is about the size of a clydesdale horse (6ft) with a little extra length and height to round it at about 7 feet all together. It is a large creature, but lanky enough that it doesn't have problems crouching down for lower level areas. To boot, it is big enough to be ridden on by its owner and others if it allows it. The pink aura that surrounds the creature shows its alliance to Deva and her ideals. This form it takes is its true form.

After the Event Deva's Power left Oki causing Persephone to resort back to its natural form. Without a container, the shadow began to merge with its host instead allowing its power flow through Oki and become its own The end result of caused the shadow to begin to crystallize as it struggles to take over its host that is slowly losing the battle. A result shown in crystal like petals that has begun to form on Oki's body.

The Background

History:

The Beginning (Aroze Part I)

No one is quite certain how old Oki was or even what gender it was originally before it was selected to become a test subject. All records of the original Oki have been washed away from existence leaving behind a fragmented trail of facts and rumors regarding the strange being. Oki is an experiment that was designed to be able to pick apart shadows and other things to gather information. The child was put through extreme training and maybe even some form of torture that explains its knack for combat both armed and unarmed, its acrobatic nature, and inability to feel exhaustion or rather understand when it is tired. It is also believed that Oki was enhanced in some way since the being is much more sturdy than the average human and can quickly pick itself from things that usually keeps a human down for a minute or two. It is a fact that Oki is not indestructible, it does bleed, it can get sick, and it can be broken. It is assumed that despite whatever experiments it was forced through that it is somewhat human. It seems to eat and need the basics of food, water, and shelter to survive; however it is also believed that Oki may have not gotten these things all the time in the past. It’s gluttony at times has many wondering exactly what sort of conditions it came.

The unfortunate thing is no one can pinpoint the origins of the being and to ask Oki directly seems to cause confusion upon its end, like it can’t remember or something. The reality is Oki doesn’t wish to share.

Oki was a prisoner most of its life that was constantly placed under various tests that was designed to make it a durable information gatherer. It was placed under extreme circumstance and forced to keep going even when its body didn’t or couldn’t do so. Oki was forced to face shadows head on. Forced to learn how to examine them for information and kill them when necessary. Oki saw a lot and endured a lot in an isolated lab in some location hidden from the world’s eye. The only company Oki had was the lab scientists who were more interested in tests results then trying to train Oki to behave normally. One thing these scientists did have were cats. Cats that would sit around and stare at Oki as it remained locked up in a small room awaiting its next test or suffering various effects from previous testing. Always the cats stared and Oki would watch them back.

Cats became for Oki a symbol of death and suffering. Merciless beings who took pleasure in watching another suffer and so Oki grew to fear and hate them believing that if a cat was around, bad things were sure to follow. Oki lived in pain and neglect for years until by some strange stroke of luck, one of the shadow experiments got out of hand and attacked the lab destroying the facilities and killing the scientists and their cats. This shadow did not strike out at Oki, but instead released the being before vanishing into thin air. Not sure what had just happened, Oki wandered out of the facility and went outside where it began to explore and gather new data from a world it had never seen before.

It is unknown how long Oki wandered or where it went to, but in time it end up at the antique shop near San Malarus Island where it collapsed from exhaustion, hunger, and injuries. The old lady who ran the shop at the time, decided to take care of the strange child and nurse it back to healthy; however, the woman found Oki was quite a challenge to deal with. Oki didn’t trust her right off the bat and the fact that she had two cats made it very difficult for the woman to get near Oki, who had taken residence in the shrine behind her shop. A bit distressed the woman gave up trying to approach Oki and instead began to leave gifts at the shrine for Oki to have. At first Oki didn’t touch her offerings, but then out of curiosity or maybe even need it began to slowly explore the gifts and accept the small offerings of food and clothing and other items that the woman left behind. As it accepted the offerings, Oki would in turn bring things to the woman’s door. Sometimes it was flowers and sometimes it was other things like fresh meat, fish, fruits, or vegetables that the woman never did question where Oki got them from. Through trade, they built a strong companionship that slowly drew Oki from the shrine and into the shop where it explored and helped out. While the old woman could never get Oki to trust the cats, she did teach it that not all humans were cruel and that if given a chance humans could prove themselves to be quite compassionate and kind. Showing Oki a different aspect of humans, the being cautiously began watching others humans trying to understand them, but never fully trusting them due to the pain it had suffered at their hands in the past. Oki stayed around the shop acting as a helper and guardian of the place all the way up until the old woman became bedridden and sick.

Before she died, the old woman gave Oki the bear like charm it wears so proudly near its left shoulder. She told Oki that the charm would always protect and love it because her spirit would reside in the charm always. Oki believed the words and so as the woman passed away, it buried her in a flowerbed of lilies, her favorite flower, near the shrine. From there, Oki became a wanderer of the world, but always kept the antique shop and its shrine as its home. Oki has mostly lived in isolation understanding that it is very different from others; however, it does not count itself alone. After all, it has the bear charm it calls Persephone with it at all times….and she is plenty of company to stay happy.

The A New Path (Aroze Part II)

At the end of The Event, the islands seemed to be going back to normal. People that participated within the Event either returned to their normal lives or wandered off to do something new. Oki was no different in the matter. Near the end, the being could sense a change in the world and felt the urge to seek out its friends as a deep dread filled its heart. The being searched high and low for those that it held close. It searched for many days trying to find anything it could, but always it came back empty handed.

When it was on the edge of giving up, the creature did unearth a rather odd clue….one that after more digging pointed to the death of the being’s other half – Hyde. When it discovered the red head had been taken from the world, its heart broke and yet it tried to stay strong and continued to look for its friends, but as more time passed with no result, the being’s outlook on the world began to become more and more bleak until finally it could take no more and fell into a depression.

The depression was a deep one, taking the creature to the very brink of madness due to the loneliness and pain it could not escape. To make matters worse, the shadow that was within it began to leak into the being. The problem starting when the power from the angel removed itself from the creature once the Event ended. With nothing there to block it, the shadow stretched out within its host merging itself with the being and in turn shifting Oki into something unstable and new.

As time ticked on, Oki’s mental state went down the drain as its body was changed and shifted by the shadow within. While the creature did managed to retain some of its humanity, there is no doubt that Oki that is more beast like than it was in the past, but how this may impact its future paths is unknown.

Hmm, you could also add an exact weigth to compliment heigth, but it's not that badly neccessary as it is. I'll leave it up to you.
