Updated: 20/07/2020

**ALERT!** After a rather eventful evening at Maksim's Party, three teenagers seems to have gone missing. The doors of Vault Olympia have been breached due to a to this day unknown assailant, who sabotaged the doors locking systems, allowing demons to make entry. Thanks to the excellent defensive capabilities of the Vault's Security drones, the Attack was put to an end, and the invading monsters fled to the outside. Right now, the Doors of Vault Olympia are currently open, allowing any survivors of the fall to seek shelter within the Vault's safe halls. What Vault Security officials think of this development remains unclear as the Chief of Police and Security of Olympia refused to leave a comment. This is Rianara, of Olympia news, signing out.

The site is entering a new era as our team of mods works tirelessly on updating old and obsolete information threads and links. Over the Summer, we aim to make many changes to the forum, including writing a comprehensive beginners' guide to help new players accommodate to the combat and other rp systems in place here.

Saving (Private) Lune (Mission Thread) - Page 7 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Saving (Private) Lune (Mission Thread)   Saving (Private) Lune (Mission Thread) - Page 7 EmptyThu Sep 11, 2014 1:58 am

As the team left behind Naomi and continued forward, Rinna was about to move ahead until Naomi started to speak to her. “After this is over. I need to be there. We are right there, so we are that much closer.” Rinna looked angry at the girl all of a sudden. Did she think she was just going to trust her sewing, and risk wasting more time? They were acquaintances at best, and sure, Naomi was certainly the only one she was speaking to, but she was certainly not letting her tend to a wound. When she made her point clear, Rinna immediately jumped from her, closer to the entrance to the block. “Don’t you dare. I can't deal with that, not now. I want to see her safe before it is all better. We are right there, let’s go,” She said. If Naomi continued to advance in an attempt to bring her down to sew the wound, Rinna would put up her fists ready to fight. If Naomi continued any further, she would send her right fist towards her in an attempt to either hit her in her upper chest, or fake her out. Either way, she would back up afterwards, and follow the group into the block, jogging as best as she could to keep up with the team.

When the rest entered the block, they would find a bridge over a moderate-sized lake that seemed to be in this area. The bridge did not span too far, and was stable to be stepped on. On the other side of the bridge was a clearing of grass under trees covering the area, but appeared to have odd glowing sources under the trunks. Come to think of it, all of a sudden around the area there were a few multi-colored lights roaming around and floating in irregular patterns around the area. In the middle of the bridge was an elevated platform above the water, and on the platform, was a man. He wore a ripped up white coat, and a generic scrub outfit, had unkempt brown hair, shadow on his face, and spitting out a cigarette into the lake.

Saving (Private) Lune (Mission Thread) - Page 7 271105-df

The man turned to his right, and revealed he was carrying something on his shoulder. It was a mass of dark brown that hung to his body…no…it was hair. The body had a dark skin, and it was rather small. The body….wore small pajama clothes, that were perfect for a middle-schooler. Rinna would show up behind the team and approach the beginning of the bridge, her eyes a swirling pulp of shock and anger. “Dally!....Lune?" she said, but getting no response from her. "…….LEWIS! Give her back now!” she shouted, her words getting weaker even as she let them slip from her mouth. At her shout, the multi-colored lights suddenly scattered in different directions, away from the scene as if suddenly frightened by this woman’s fury; though in their place, pure tension and an eerie presence took over, leaving a silence for a brief moment. The man-Lewis, when catching sight of Rinna and the group, would contort his face unnaturally, but a clear emotion of rage was plain on it. “You little bitch! Stay out of this! You should’ve fucking died or ran away! Leave and go home! I will have what I want, and soon this will all be over,” Lewis said in a scratchy older voice. Rinna immediately began to run to the bridge, she made it only a few feet before stumbling over and landing on a knee and shouting. “GIVE HER BACK! I'll kill you!” she shouted. As she moved to get up, Lewis immediately grabbed the body he was carrying by the scruff of the neck, and held her in the air. In his other hand, was something cold, something sinister, and something silver…

A knife, now pointed at the young girl’s neck…

A few clumsy sobs came from the girl’s mouth, revealing her conscious condition at the moment. “Lune! Please! Hang in there!” she called to her. Lune opened her eyes slowly, red with tears. “R-Rinna….Sis, please…I wanna go home. Help…” she said painfully, coughing and trying to reach her bruised hands out, but failing to do so and went limp in Lewis’ hand. “Back away! I need her! I haaave…..I have to! She’s what I need! Right?!” Lewis said, looking up in the air, and around as if searching for something. He sounded clearly desperate, but his eyes showed a mixture of fear and hatred at the stupid bitch who tried to stop him before. Rinna stayed still, falling on her hands almost as though she were begging. Even though she was convinced he did not want her dead, she knew he could do it. Taking a moment to turn her head towards the others, her face was just as worried and desperate as his might have been, if albeit for a different reason. She however wasted no time to look at the team for long before looking back to Lewis, holding Lune Dalamar at knifepoint.

Saving (Private) Lune (Mission Thread) - Page 7 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Saving (Private) Lune (Mission Thread)   Saving (Private) Lune (Mission Thread) - Page 7 EmptyThu Sep 11, 2014 3:08 pm

Naomi seemed more interested in taking care of Rinna than his history. Talk about being rude and not paying attention to when someone's talking, let alone a valuable information that could potentially help with that case. Well, whatever, to each their own. He decided to move forward with the others and the scenery changed quite a bit this time, leaving Shun quite mesmerized by the new landscape. Looked like an eerie and magical woodland out of a fairy tale or an epic book such as Lord of the Rings. He wouldn't mind staying there, enjoying his fascination and overanalyzing the whole place, however there's not the main reason for their incursion in the alternate world. While Shunnosuke was completely amused by the floating, colored lights scattered all around the place, if it weren't for Rinna's scream, he wouldn't have come to his senses.

...and there was Lewis. In a very clear image, contrary to the first one in the Rocky Caverns. It wouldn't be hard to deduce it was him. A more careful look would reveal what seemed to be an unconscious Lune, the other missing girl they're supposed to rescue. That's when the boy became quite tense, but still decided to stay quiet, watching the criminal's full of angst interaction with Rinna, who wasn't helping any bit with her reckless behavior.

It was not until Lewis held Lune and threatened to slice her throat that Shunnosuke realized how horrifying the whole situation was, to the point he covered his mouth agape with both hands. It didn't seem like he had hurt her too much, but still, her suffering was perceptible even from afar. Poor girl, she must have tried to resist, although uselessly.

Lewis...Mr. Rhodes, please listen to me for a second. — The boy gave a few careful steps forward, reaching out to Rinna while keeping a sort of a hesitating eye contact with the criminal. He took some breath, unsure if he should step in such a dangerous situation, every misplaced word could be decisive in the output...but well, that's what he was there for, right? When the quietness had lasted long enough, a necessary moment for the boy to mentally arrange the right words, Shunnosuke would finally give sequence to his speech: — I'm Kurosawa. I'm sure you have heard about us and probably know me. The international health company? Remember? Whatever you need, I can help you. If you hurt Lune, you won't have time to fulfill any goals of yours. Will spend your life in a jail and I'm sure a young man like you wouldn't want that. But if you just let Lune...if you let Dally go right now, I can assure you by the name of my family and my business, I could provide you assistance...what do you say? Put her down and let's reach a middle-ground...shall we?

The teenager smiled, one of those confident smiles he had to wear so many times before...this time, for the right reasons. He could only hope Lewis would take the bait.

Saving (Private) Lune (Mission Thread) - Page 7 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Saving (Private) Lune (Mission Thread)   Saving (Private) Lune (Mission Thread) - Page 7 EmptySat Sep 13, 2014 12:29 am

Sentinel would press forward, but would note that Naomi had held back with Rinna. However, eventually they came along, it seemed as though Rinna had a bit of an argument back there, though the android wasn't sure. However, the area they entered was quite pleasing to the eye, but eventually the android's attention snapped to the man on the center of the bridge with the lights that moved in irregular patterns. That is when he saw Lune being carried on his shoulders, and that is when Rinna appeared and announced her presence. Lewis of course didn't take well to her presence or their own, considering how he would shout back at her. However, when their comrade continued moving forward he put a knife to Lune's throat.

The young girl then showed she was conscious by speaking and calling Rinna, sis, and then she seemed to slip out of consciousness. However, now the android understood quite clearly what Rinna was fighting for, to be honest it was a point of view he could understand well. His fighting spirit didn't need any more motivation after that. However, as he looked at Lewis holding the knife, he was reminded of his creator, the one who held a knife to Maria. Here he was again, looking upon a desperate man in a desperate situation who was backed into the corner. How did he find himself in these situations all the time? Staring down men who thought they only had one solution, when they didn't! There was always another way!

The android would allow Kurosawa to take the lead, and use his evident skills in diplomacy to try and persuade Lewis. It was a solid argument if he did have a medical background, and judging from that article it seemed likely. Actually that might be something worth mentioning to Lewis.

"Mr. Rhodes, he is right we can reach a middle ground here. No need to do anything drastic." The android would say, though he did not step forward after Kurosawa, no need to pressure Lewis into too much of a corner. "You don’t have to follow this path Lewis! There is always another way to achieve your goals. Don’t think you have to harm Lune to achieve that goal, remember your Hippocratic Oath! I’ve seen men who think they’re doing the right thing, but became focused on what they thought was the only answer. I see you are at that crossroad, but you still have the ability to choose! Don’t be like him! Meet us at the middle ground and release Dally unharmed, you can still make a better choice! That was only known to the android, it was the man whose words haunted his dream. He saw a similar look in the eyes that belonged to Maria’s fathers, but Lewis was not that far gone…he could see the fear in his the criminal’s eyes. The fear of whether or not what he was doing is the right thing that was something that her father lacked. There was only obsession and full blown commitment to the father’s twisted idea, and Sentinel prayed that this man would listen to them. There was still hope for this man, but he had to believe in what the android and Kurosawa was saying. Lewis just had to cling on to whatever shred of hope was left, but it was a shame that Sentinel didn't have a gun to ensure the outcome of this negotiation. A miscalculation on his part....and it could cost them the life of a little girl...a girl like Maria. How could he have not prepared better? Damn, this unit and it's sometimes illogical thinking! What if it was Maria instead of Lune! Then his creator's words could be proven correct! He looked back at Lune and imagined Maria there instead, but knew that it wasn't Maria...however the situations were eerily similar.

Saving (Private) Lune (Mission Thread) - Page 7 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Saving (Private) Lune (Mission Thread)   Saving (Private) Lune (Mission Thread) - Page 7 EmptySun Sep 14, 2014 6:41 pm

Naomi was apparently still trying something with Rinna, but Sharaku didn't really care to inspect that at the time. They finished rather quickly anyway, or so he managed to note, before they came to a place that differed from their previous path quite a bit. What was with those lights...? Sadly, he didn't get the time to ponder over fancy, glowing distractions that entered the scene out of nowhere, as they exited very soon as well. Rinna sure knew how to scream. Which brought them to the more important problem. So, that man was Lewis then? Well, good thing was, they finally got where they were headed. Bad...Rinna went back to being reckless and tried to charge at the man. Sharaku didn't really get how was that supposed to be helpful, mainly if the other party had a knife at their disposal. Nevermind the fact that it would only get worse if she got hurt again. Lewis seemed more intent on the younger female though.

What for....was probably a good question. Either way, so many desperate people around. This was almost depressing in its own way...that is, if he cared enough to let it affect him. He seriously didn't feel like jumping onto the bandwagon, and would only listen to the two trying to talk it away with his arms crossed at first. Middle ground...Well, that was if Lewis chose to listen in the first place. Who knew what was up with him.

''..............''
Still, he would have to say something, even if it there was a possibility it was pretty much useless. Being the only one to ignore would probably not be the best idea, for his own sanity, and he was sure Naomi was going to try something too. She wasn't the type to pass out on helping out when she could. ''As poetic as it sounds, who can really say what is the right thing to do..?'', he would comment lowly after hearing Sentinel talk about making a better choice, before turning to face Lewis, not moving anywhere either. ''Still, Mr. Rhodes, you should take a moment to consider what you're doing. Is whatever you want really worth harming someone? You wouldn't enjoy it if it was you in that girl's situation, would you? Violent approach is more likely to turn against a person, rather than solve anything. In the end, it is still your choice, however, if you aren't completely sure, you should consider a different way. Regret is not a pleasant feeling to face. That, and if you look hard enough, and take a less forceful approach, people might be willing to help you of their own accord.'' Well, he tried at the very least. Though, his tone probably sounded a little more cool than it should be. He didn't neccessarily enjoy dealing with people like this. It was a pain to even get them to listen. And this looked as if it was going to be somewhat harder than convincing Rinna back then which had not been an easy feat in an on itself. It was just going to get him frustrated, and he did not want that right now. Why couldn't they face someone in a right state of mind once in a while?

Saving (Private) Lune (Mission Thread) - Page 7 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Saving (Private) Lune (Mission Thread)   Saving (Private) Lune (Mission Thread) - Page 7 EmptyTue Sep 16, 2014 12:47 am

Naomi would freeze as soon as she saw where Lune had been this entire time. She had known that it was Lewis that had taken her, and she was prepared to see many different things, but seeing it firsthand was something else. She wanted to run up and kick Lewis where she knew it would hurt, but he was holding Lune as hostage. As long as he had her, their hands were pretty much tied. Anything they did could result in Lune getting hurt. She was sure that Lewis needed Lune for something though. He seemed to go through a lot of trouble to keep her and keep her alive. The only way they could possibly get close enough to Lune was if he let down his guard and one of them could slip in. Or, he would have to willingly let her go and send her over. She highly doubted that would be the case though.

Lewis held all the cards right now. Naomi had to hide what she was thinking right now. Her face would stay stone cold as she analyzed the situation they were in. No matter what she thought of, she kept finding reasons it wouldn’t work. This was not the time for the pessimistic side of her brain to be taking over. She could even see the pain in Rinna and Lune’s faces. It was driving her crazy that she didn’t know how to help either of them right now. She was thinking so much that she didn’t know what she was doing anymore. She had to put her worry for Lune and Rinna aside for the moment. Lewis was the real issue. She had to figure him out before they could do anything. The others were trying to talk him down and make him offers, but she couldn’t tell if they were working. She was more worried about his behavior at the moment.

Yes, he said he needed Lune, but it was more of a question. He wasn’t sure? When Naomi saw him look around the air, she grew suspicious. Was he talking to another disembodied voice? There was a lot of that going around lately. That gave her some context to this situation, at least. Did that mean that Lewis and Rinna were lead by the same voice? That couldn’t be. Lewis was told to get Lune, but Rinna was lead to this same place. Either that voice had a sick sense of humor, or there were different voices that wanted different things. That, or Lewis was crazy. She had to assume for now that last one was not the case. Why couldn’t this be simpler, “You don’t even know…” She would finally say calmly, “Who told you that you need Lune? Surely there is another way. Look at her. She’s afraid. Even if do need her, do you think she could help you like this?” She had to stay calm. The man was already afraid and upset, and anything could set him off. She also didn’t want to clue him in that he may not need Lune, as he may then feel inclined to dispose of her.

Naomi also wanted to get Rinnna right now, but she didn’t know how he would react to any of them getting closer. Rinna was just as volatile at the moment as he was. Naomi had to have a plan. If he tried to use that knife, how quickly could she summon her own weapon to deflect it? Sure, he hands were fast, but she wasn’t a god. She had limits to what she could and couldn’t do. She did have one thing in mind, but she had to trust that her teammates, and Rinna, would be able to pick up on it as soon as they got the chance to use it. She had to hide all of that behind a stoic face, lest she give herself away. Not like it was hard. The fear for Lune’s wellbeing should conceal that pretty easily.

Saving (Private) Lune (Mission Thread) - Page 7 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Saving (Private) Lune (Mission Thread)   Saving (Private) Lune (Mission Thread) - Page 7 EmptyTue Sep 16, 2014 4:32 pm

First the girlish boy spoke. His words did sound convincing at first, but unfortunately, he said the wrong thing regarding prison. Like that mattered at this point. But even despite the man’s attempts, the punk did remind him of something he was passionate about.  With all the talk roaming around from the rest, he just gave a large sigh, and lowered his knife slightly. “Look, there’s something I gotta do. I need her. It sucks, but sometimes shit like this you just have to deal with, other times you gotta do what’s necessary to fulfill your goals, so let me go on my way!” Lewis said. Letting go of the knife in his hand and leaving it on the platform in which he stood, he started to take several steps away from them, near the other end of the platform. Rinna reached her hand out to the two. “Please. Just give her back! You don’t need her!” Rinna said, coughing. Without a word, Lewis immediately turned around and made a quick break for the other end of the bridge, carrying Lune on her shoulder. Rinna tried to push herself up, but was clearly struggling, and while able to stand on both her feet, was showing signs of noticeable fatigue if not weakness. She started to stumble forward, not falling, but not balanced completely as she began to make her way towards the two.

Meanwhile, assuming Lewis met no distractions, he would make it towards the clearing of the large field, moving close to the middle before looking back at the team before holding Lune up with his one hand out. "I told you I'd find her! This is who you needed! Now give me what I needed so I can go home!" Lewis shouted. Almost immediately after his call, several plumes of a purple mist would start to appear from the lake from several points that were rather easy to notice, and seem to converge around Lewis, as though being attracted to the man. The purple mist grew thicker, and it seemed to not cover Lewis himself, but rather the girl Lune, in his hand. It concentrated around her, almost making her completely invisible, and making her cough slightly in between quiet quivers. The mist seemed to continue circling the small girl, as Lewis seemed to give a relieved sigh once more. This was it, his mission was complete. Rinna continued to soldier forward trying desperately to climb up the steps, only making it to the platform by the time Lewis had made it to the other side. Nothing else seemed to happen for the moment that the mist was doing whatever it was, but the tension was still high, and it was uncertain what this mist was, or what it even meant for Lewis, or the girl.

Saving (Private) Lune (Mission Thread) - Page 7 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Saving (Private) Lune (Mission Thread)   Saving (Private) Lune (Mission Thread) - Page 7 EmptyThu Sep 18, 2014 2:05 pm

Sentinel frowned a bit as Lewis seemed was not persuaded saying that this was something he had to do, when it wasn't. He was blinded by his own goals and beliefs, just like him. A very dark association clicked in the android's mind, and he could see the image of Maria's father in Lewis. Both blinded and choosing an irrational path. Very well, if he wanted to try and advance his own goals he could, but not in the way he was going about it. That was when he saw Lewis drop the knife, and move away from it. Whatever, the man was thinking, he was now unarmed, and it seemed very unlikely that he would try to harm Lune so close to his goal. Not to mention he may have just dropped his quick way of doing so, granted it was likely that this man had some sort of Persona. They would have to deal with it very quickly, upon seeing the knife drop several combat scenarios ran through the android's mind. He decided that the best way to remove Lewis would be to knock him off balance with a low blow to the legs. It would have to be precise lest they risk hitting Lune, and it would have to move quickly. Sharaku had a wind spell that was probably the best way of doing it. Knock the man off his feet and then close the distance and snatch Lune up and away from him. Not to mention Sharaku’s power was far more subtle than summoning a Greek Warrior, or another humanoid figure. The android glanced to the group before speaking.

"Alright we gave him his chance; we're doing this the hard and aggressive way. The android said in a low voice, quiet enough so Lewis wouldn't hear him."Sharaku, I recommend hitting him with your wind ability. I suggest try to knock him off his feet, because Rinna mentioned this guy likes to run, and I’d rather prevent him from trying to make an escape. Though please do take care and avoid hitting Lune.” The android said, suggesting what Sharaku should do, rather than demanding it, the Forgotten still had his freedom to do as he pleased and to use whatever ability he thought fit the situation. Though the android only requested that he avoid hitting Lune. Sentinel then began to speak about what he and the others were going to do. “I'll charge to close the distance, and try to draw his attention off Lune. Kurosawa, and Naomi, I recommend one of you two grab Lune and bring her back to this side. The other one should cover whoever grabs Lune with their power if possible. Our goal is to keep Rinna and Lune safe, and eliminate Lewis if possible. Sharaku this attack begins at your discretion." His voice was hush, but this was the plan he came up with in a rush. It would have to do. He heard Rinna cry out from them to stop, and he turned to see Lewis making a break for the other side bridge.

"Sharaku?" The android asked, a subtle suggestion of whether or not now would be the time to strike Lewis. There was no expectation in his voice, it was a simple suggestion of if the man wanted to attack now or hold. If and only if Sharaku attacked, the android would follow the attack barreling toward Lewis, reaching his top speed as fast as he could.

Saving (Private) Lune (Mission Thread) - Page 7 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Saving (Private) Lune (Mission Thread)   Saving (Private) Lune (Mission Thread) - Page 7 EmptyThu Sep 18, 2014 8:21 pm

Well, so much for talking being a good solution. Lewis obviously didn't seem to want to consider changing his opinion at all. Gotta do what's neccessary, eh? Not that it wasn't true in its own way, but why such an extreme...? There usually was a less drastic way, you just needed to put your mind into figuring it out. Using another person to help your own ass was a rather sad way to go, mainly when it was against their own free will. Well, humans would always be selfish in one way or another. There was no denying that. Afterall, everyone looked out for themselves, first and foremost, before considering others. Though, Sharaku was none the wiser as to what was Lewis up to still. The man dropped the knife, so he was obviously not planning on hurting the girl in that manner. Great, more unneccessary mysteries. He could have at least told them what was he trying to do.

When Sentinel spoke up, Sharaku would give him a short glance, before turning to look back at Lewis, who was starting to back out after dropping his weapon. He was listening to the android though. He couldn't say he really liked the idea of turning this into a fight, but Sentinel did have a point. If Lewis didn't listen, they would be forced to choose a different approach. And it was obviously going in that direction right now. ''If it's really neccessary....'', he would mutter in a rather apprehensive tone, after hearing Sentinel's suggestion, without even looking back at the android. It would seem as if he was quite wary, or hesitant about picking a fight for some unknown reason. He would do it though, but it might still appear a bit strange, as he had never objected before...that was against Shadows however. Either way, he was aware that they were pretty much out of choices now which is why he decided to go along, but he really hoped it wouldn't come down to....certain things....

''Fine.'', he would comment dryly, when Sentinel called him out as Lewis turned around to make a break for it. With a slightly narrowed glare, he would crouch down a little as his weapon transformed and send a wave of forceful wind, towards the man, who was now turned with his back facing them. If the wind hit Lewis, it would be sightly below his knees, hopefully knocking him off balance at least for a moment. Honestly, Sharaku would prefer if the man faceplanted against the ground. In that case, maybe they could somehow finish this without a serious confrontation. With that in mind, he would straighten up to follow after the android, though not at the same speed. He could have tried, but to be honest, he'd rather keep some sort of distance for now, if possible. If he could, he would surely choose to avoid fighting at close quarters. He found that a really bad idea in his case.

Saving (Private) Lune (Mission Thread) - Page 7 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Saving (Private) Lune (Mission Thread)   Saving (Private) Lune (Mission Thread) - Page 7 EmptyFri Sep 19, 2014 3:03 pm

...aaaand it didn't work. Shunnosuke would let a deep sigh come out of his lips in disappointment. How depressing could it be he wouldn't let go of Lune so easily. Soft words apparently weren't that useful in that world either. Still, he'd pay attention to the others attempts. First, Alphonse, who mentioned something in the lines "don't be like him". Him, who? As if it wasn't enough to leave Shun slightly suspicious, Lewis's words addressed to Rinna were, to say at least, worrying. So, Rinna needed Lune? For what? And what is it she had that Lewis would need in exchange? The teenager had inside a feeling that Rinna not only was a crude jerk, but wasn't reliable either. He'd hold these thoughts only to his mind, as for now that was the least of their concerns, but Rinna would have to explain herself later. Ah, she would.

...we tried to give him the opportunity to redeem himself. Since there seems to be no other way... — He'd give a blank stare at Lewis's figure distancing himself, right after Alphonse's order to Sharaku. Though the teenager was somewhat concerned the wind blast Sharaku controls could affect Lune and accidentaly hurt her, at the same time trying to convince himself that such measure was indeed the only logical solution to that impasse, it would probably be for the best. And judging by the taller's expression, he too didn't seem completely fond of such violent initiative.

As you say. — Shunnosuke would reply, in a hesitant and apprehensive tone to Sentinel's command. It was a simple request, right? All he had to do was run (may Gaga bless physical education classes Shunnosuke despises so much) and grab the girl, right? If only Alphonse could remember right from the start that Shunnosuke probably didn't have enough strength to carry another person with his own arms. Good thing there's where Naomi come into play. She's probably more necessary (read, strong) to that task than he could ever be. Honestly, that was such a dead end situation... Why did he accept that mission, in first place? He wasn't expecting to act beyond providing support to the others.

The student held his breath for a moment, waiting for Sharaku to show his trick and do what he's supposed to do. Assuming the windy attack was successful, Lewis would probably fall to the ground, unable to defend himself from an unsuspecting assault and hold Lune at the same time. Should this be the case and there are no hindrances, he'd wait no time to take the opportunity and run quickly to their aid — or better, Lune's aid, if she fall directly to the ground as well, immediately reaching out to the girl and holding her shoulders.

Okay, baby girl, snap out of it already, will you? Gross, you should at least take a bath. — He said, trying to not be disgusted by her messy and probably dirty appearance and that eerie mist that kept surrounding the young lady. Well, that's what he was there for, right? No use feeling queasy for a closer contact with another human being in need in a situation like this. — Gee, I hope I don't dirty my clothes...Hyde, I'll let you know you owe me one. — He took a deep breath once more and, although a bit hesitant, held Lune in his arms closer to his body, in a protective manner while trying to get her to on her feet with him. As for Lewis, Shunnosuke couldn't help but to glance at him, mixing an offended and pitiful look. Sure, the guy was stupid enough to reject his offer of assistance and it's something his uptight behavior wouldn't let go that easily, but the teenager was also bothered by the despair he presented in his actions. Kind of...touched. He didn't seem really a bad guy, just someone who made an incredibly bad decision. What was he up to? Why is Lune so needed? And for what?

Saving (Private) Lune (Mission Thread) - Page 7 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Saving (Private) Lune (Mission Thread)   Saving (Private) Lune (Mission Thread) - Page 7 EmptySat Sep 20, 2014 2:27 pm

For a split second, Naomi was actually feeling hopeful. Lewis had dropped the knife and he didn’t seem to be letting off the same emotions as earlier. Well, there was still something negative there, but it wasn’t as bad. That hope died quickly when he grabbed Lune and started walking away. She couldn’t let him get any further away. If he did, they couldn’t keep her safe. There was also the fact that Rinna was trying to follow behind them. She could feel it. That desire to protect someone she cared about. It was radiating off every inch of her and choking Naomi with hatred at herself for being so completely useless. They had to be able to do something. Anything. But, no. Each passing moment, the voice inside her head kept telling her that this was useless and there was nothing that could be done to save either of the girls. This story would not have a happy ending. Why couldn’t she turn that voice off or shove it to the back of her mind like usual? Why was it making itself so much louder than usual? Did she really want to protect both of them so badly that all her doubts were floating to the surface? That couldn’t be it. She had only met Rinna once before this and she didn’t even know Lune. Yet, here she was. Why couldn’t this be simpler? All she wanted was to see them safe at home and happy.

That thought caught in her throat and made her eyes burn. That’s right. She came because Lune was an ordinary girl with a family and friends to go back home to. She agreed to stop at that room where they found Rinna and decided that she need to see Lune get home safely before she could also be sent back. She had been doing all of this so that she could see those two girls smile after all of this was over. The voices in her mind didn’t shut up, but she pretended she couldn’t hear them. This was not the time or place to give into them.

She would nod lightly at Alphonse’s plan. She understood what she was supposed to be doing. As long as Kurosawa could grab Lune, Naomi could run defense. Or, at least try to. She was actually pretty weak, all things considered. Alphonse would have made better defense, but he seemed to be busy with something else. That meant Naomi would have to do her best to play the part. That, and there was someone else she needed to help while she was at it. She would get closer to Rinna when Kurosawa ran off. The girl was obviously having trouble walking by herself, “You shouldn’t try to do this one on your own. We’ll be doing our best too, so…” Naomi would hold out her hand for the girl to take and pull her up to lean her against her shoulder. It was clear that Rinna was to the point that even walking would be difficult. The least Naomi could do was offer to help her out. Still, she would also have to watch Kurosawa and Lune. If Rinna even accepted her hand, she could help give her support, but she was still hesitate to bring Rinna into the immediate line of danger. Better than letting her bleed out right where she was.

PostSubject: Re: Saving (Private) Lune (Mission Thread)   Saving (Private) Lune (Mission Thread) - Page 7 EmptySun Sep 21, 2014 12:09 am

As Lewis began to make his way to the other side of the bridge to the field, he would notice from the back of his vision a light, and then feel a large blast hit him in the back. He was rather caught off guard by their sudden decision to attack him. While he did not have a tough time taking attacks of the wind element well, he was still nonetheless taken by surprise by his large and brutal attack, and was sent forward into the bridge near the beginning of the field with a loud crash. Seeing as how he was attacked before he approached the field, the purple mist would instead not appear, and the lake would remain pristine…for the moment. During the fall, he’d lose hold of Lune who was merely on his shoulder in the attacks' way as well, and would crash into the edge of the bridge before falling straight into the blue lake with a small splash, and a shout from a familiar woman’s lips. “You fucking idiot! What are you doing?!” she said, immediately finding some kind of strength and pushing up with impressive speed. She would push Naomi roughly away from her, though not enough to knock her over the bridge, and immediately run as fast as her weak body took her to the other side of the platform, pushing roughly past the two before jumping headfirst into the lake, going after the now submerged little girl. A loud creak was apparent as a couple wooden planks fell from under him, which caused him to look up and shake his head, regaining his senses.

His face turned into rage at the group. Those idiots! Before he said anything, he held his right hand out to his side, and his forearm and veins began to turn into a deep shade of purple reaching all the way up to his shoulder and right side of his neck, and his fingers began to shift unnaturally and twist around before what appeared to be claws began to jut from the tips, all of this happening in a single second. He would then immediately swing his hand forward, sending his own burst of wind, travelling human-high and overlapping the width of the bridge towards the four still on it. “You kids don’t have any idea what you just did! You just possibly ruined my chance of getting out of this hell! I can’t even go in there myself because you’re all in my way! Why don’t you just accept the fact that there’s shit you guys cannot get involved with and mind your own goddamn business?! This is my future, not yours.” He sighed, the anger almost visible in his breath as it was let out. “Fine, fuck it. I didn’t want to have to do this, but you guys won’t stop. Hopefully they’ll see what’s happening and back them up if she’s it. But you guys are going to drown, or I’ll kill you myself. You’re just a bunch of kids that don’t know what they are getting into, and you’re about to pay for what you just did,” he said, jumping back over the ruined part of the bridge leaving an almost hole and ruined wooden planks about three feet between him and the group where they stood. He was breathing heavier and  and heavier while staring at the team, like a trained killer ready for another day at the slaughter.

Saving (Private) Lune (Mission Thread) - Page 7 Empty

''.......''

Tsk. This was starting to go above and beyond. Why did he go along with this in the first place...? Sharaku couldn't say he gave that much of a damn about Lune, honestly. He had been hesitant for completely different reasons which was why his expression stayed blank for a short second, before his golden eyes narrowed sharply. He was....just about starting to have enough of this bullshit. Why did this even matter anyway...? What for..? He never really.....Pssh, enough.....just...done...He would stay still for a decent moment, until getting distracted by Rinna barrelling past, and jumping in after Lune. Ugh, did she want to drown herself too? In her state it was obviously a not smart idea to go. This really did not make sense anymore. Nothing did. With an annoyed twitch, he would attempt to take a stride forward, only to get a facefull of wind in the face before he realized what was going on. His gaze would flicker towards Lewis in a sharp glare as he stumbled a step backwards from the force. What the...?

He was about to say or do something, but was halted when Lewis began to round off on them, threats and all. Oh, they didn't know better, allright..? Who was he to say that? By the end of all the threatening, he wasn't sure whether he should be amused or seriously pissed off. But....it didn't matter anymore...it didn't. Eyes slitting dangerously, his lips would pull into a crooked sneer, as he broke into a laugh, or pretty much almost a cackle. He probably sounded like a lunatic at the moment, or at least fairly insane. Well, he felt like it anyway.

Click this link if you want to hear it. I dare you >.>

He recovered fairly quickly though, even if he didn't seem to be any better at it. ''Go ahead. See if I care. I can't care less about your threaths, if you don't bother explaining yourself in the first place. You act as if you were the only one facing hell in your life. How funny.'', he would state, in a sharp, cold tone. This could all go screw itself. He didn't care about staying back anymore. Flinging an array of cutting ice shards at the man, he would take a step forward, still wearing a somewhat crooked smile.

PostSubject: Re: Saving (Private) Lune (Mission Thread)   Saving (Private) Lune (Mission Thread) - Page 7 EmptySun Sep 21, 2014 11:51 pm

And Alphonse's plan didn't work out perfectly. In fact, it was a major failure that seemed pretty functional in theory. However, the practice proved them wrong, and in the worst possible way. The moment Lune felt to the lake (contrary to his previous expectations), Shunnosuke would release a loud, high pitched scream in horror while leading his hands immediately to his own face.

OH DAMN! SHE'S GONNA DIE IF WE DON'T DO SOMETHING! GO, SOMEONE, MOVE ALREADY!! — The student screamed, mouth and eyes wide open in an already panicked enough expression while looking at the group. He wouldn't care about which of them would jump in the lake and save the girl, as long as one of them did it just in time before the worst could happen to her health. As if it wasn't enough, his eyes moved to Lewis again. The man's appearance developed into an horrifying, monstrous being, leaving Shun completely speechless and displaying no reaction whatsoever. What did he do...? If the moment before he was panicking about Lune's well-being, this time, however, Shun was taken by a deep and complete feeling of fright. The way he stared at them, it's like a snake about to make a new prey.

The student couldn't do much but to defend himself from the wind blast Lewis sent, placing his arms in front of his face while trying to keep sight of their new opponent, with a narrowed gaze. Of course the wind was stronger than Shun could be and made him retreat a few steps on the bridge, to the point he nearly lost his balance. With some moderate difficulty, he managed to touch his brooch, therefore not only materializing in his hands his chain weapon out of it, but right above him the figure of his persona, the princess Andromeda.
I need you. Now! — And with a nod, the persona executed a quiver dance that'd make everyone in the surroundings shine, restoring part of their vitality taken by Lewis's wind skill.

...and...Sharaku was laughing? But why? What in such situation would cause such reaction? He couldn't say anything, but to glance at the taller man with a speechless expression. No, it was more like a frightened expression, something in that response by Sharaku made him feel nothing but...dread, shocking the young boy for a few seconds before he could recover and pay attention to what was currently happening. Shunnosuke, if possible, would try to avoid fighting. Once the others would jump in the river and return Lune (and, for that matter, Rinna, who recklessly threw herself in the lake in another attempt of playing the heroine) in safety to the other side of the lake, their objective was done. Of course, for that to happen, he'd have to try and slow down Lewis as much as possible. Sharaku, as capable of fighting as he is, was making it rather difficult with his hardy demeanor, and he alone wouldn't distract Lewis for too long. The only possible option is if he'd try to dissuade Lewis from fighting while the others busied themselves with rescuing the two girls. His persuasive skills nearly worked before, so it could probably work now, right? Hopefully, the criminal would pay attention to his words, rather than Sharaku's. Yeah, he could do it and prove his value.

Mr. Rhodes!! Lewis!! I request you to stop this right now! Stay calm and think about what I told you earlier! If you really want to sort things out, I am the person to go! I am not your enemy!

Saving (Private) Lune (Mission Thread) - Page 7 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Saving (Private) Lune (Mission Thread)   Saving (Private) Lune (Mission Thread) - Page 7 EmptySun Sep 21, 2014 11:59 pm

Oh gods. This wasn’t good. Naomi could only watch in horror as the wind hit Lewis and sent Lune tumbling over. This was not good. The girl was already having trouble breathing. Going underwater was almost like a death sentence unless the girl could swim. Naomi would feel herself getting pushed by Rinna. She wanted to reach out and grab the girl to stop her from running over the bridge. The girl was already wounded. She couldn’t get involved in this fight. She couldn’t let Rinna get too close. Just as she was reaching out to grab her though, her body was assaulted by some kind of wind. It hit her something fierce and stopped her from keeping Rinna back. It hurt pretty badly too. How the hell had Lewis done that without a Persona? Was he like Sharaku and had a shadow at his side? She didn’t have time to worry about that now. She saw Rinna jump into the water and immediately wanted to scream. Rinna was still bleeding, and water would only make that worse. Lune was unconscious and could drown down there.

Without a word to her team, she would run to the spot where Rinna had jumped into the water and follow after her. Naomi was average at swimming, so that itself wasn’t the problem. The problem was finding both of them and dragging them both back to the surface. Weren’t humans supposed to float? Why wasn’t Lune? That would make this so much easier. That didn’t matter right now though. She would go back under water and keep looking for the girls, only coming back up when she needed air. As soon as she saw one of the girls, she would have to grab them and bring them to the top so they could get air. How was she going to take care of both of them? She would have to hope that Rinna could still swim on her own by the time she found them. Why didn’t she have some kind of way to make this easier? She had had two teddy bears that could heal her and throw rocks from out of nowhere. How could she not find those two to save them?
