Buying a Book or Two (Open to Two)

Sentinel shifted through numerous volumes of books about building better websites. His artificial eyes searching at rapid speeds as he looked for any new tips or tricks that were not already in his databases. He was rather odd as he seemed to flip through the pages at a rapid rate, and he never bought anything from the store, perhaps to dissatisfaction of the owner. Maria on the other hand was an avid reader, and would often buy new books. In the end the store owner was quite satisfied whenever Sentinel came into the store, because Maria always made up for what Sentinel did not purchase. Granted, the android did not understand the point of buying stuff, could humans not retain information after reading it once?

Maria loved to read as much if not more than she liked to play around. So while Sentinel was reading at a fast pace, Maria was taking her time and checking out some books that her friend, Gabby, had recommended. Thus far she was really enjoying Gabby's recommendations. She would ask Sentinel to buy them for her when he was ready to leave. Right now he was searching for new recipes to cook for Maria. After all he had to keep her fed and healthy lest, she fall ill and miss school. However, he always kept Maria close to his line of sight in case anyone tried to kidnap her.
