Aliases: Edge.
Gender: Male.
Age: 17 years old.
Birth Day: January 6th.
Arcana: The Magician.
Place of Residence: Nokawia; Reiguu Mansion.
School Year: Second Year.
Class: 2-A
After School Club: Literature Club, Kendo Club.
Part Time Job: None.
Appearance:
Reiguu Ejji is a type of person who stands out in the crowd. This is attributed to both his unusual looks and personality. For one, Ejji is quite tall, standing around 6'2 feet. He has a lean, well-fit build, from all the time he spent excersicing starting from his childhood. One of his other two most defining appearance traits are his eyes - a rich blue color, that makes them seem to glow from time to time, during an intense situation or simply due to a trick of light. The othe one is his snow-white hair - a trademark of the Reiguu Family line, that almost all of his ancestors had before him. He inherited it straight from his mother. He styles his hair short and sleeked back, leaving only a few unruly bangs to fall down to his eyes.
Having being born into a long-standing line of high society, Ejji had also inherited an arostocratic type of good looks, that diffirintiates him from other people, most of which such as him would call ordinary.
The Reiguu heir wears little accesories, but he does so with class and style. His right ear has multiple piercings on it, with a single sapphire earring standing out. All of them are made of gold. He also wears a silver ring on his left hand. It's a bit thin, with kanji for "Tsuki"(Moon) engraved on it.
As for clothing, Ejji preferrs a mix of casual and official wear. He preferrs simple, but expensive shirts and pants with dark coloration or cold undertones, which only strengthens his high standing and regal image. Sometimes he goes for sleeved coats, tailored specifically for him. During practise he likes to wear free and fitting clothing, which helps him with his preformance by not impeeding his movements in the slightest. Like a sweatpants and vest combo with comfortable footwear - top brand sneakers of course.
Naturally, most if not all of his clothes are custom-tailored.
Expression-wise, Ejji tries to keep a calm and cool facade wherever he goes and whatever he does. His ability for keeping a stoic face in most situations had earned him quite a bit of fame in the Academy he attends.
Lastly, Ejji is quite deliberate in the way he chooses to look, hoping to make a lasting impression, stand above the crowd and, naturally, enthrall the girls whenever possible.
Personality:
The most prominent part of Ejji's personality is the calm and neutral expression he keeps on his face. Being in control of his emotions is a major point in how Ejji interacts with the world around him. Being seen as ordinary or weak is something the young man dreads greatly, for ever since his birth everyone had told him that he was meant for greater things. That is why he sees it as his duty and a way of life, to keep an image of a noble - the highest authority, commanding great respect, admiration and loyalty from his subjects.
Ejji likes to keep his outwardly unflinching resolve at all times, during all kinds of situations, truly relaxing only in complete solitude of his quarters, or secluded secret spots.
Ejji also likes to think himself an honorable man, akin to a samurai from an old age. Duty, honor, truth. However, as much as he would like to be all of those things - he is not. His sense of duty and honor only go so far. Meaning that most of the time he does everything in his power to appear that way, playing for the public around him. That's why his "public image" is of an honor student - proficient in his grades, athletic, intelligent and graceful. He treats most people as simpletons, while keeping on the boundaries of being careful not to turn insulting or brash. Sometimes, though, he can slip.
All that, howeve does not mean that he has none of those traits, rather that he has them to some degree, and not up to perfection. He lies to himself and others, using a long-standing facade or superiority, hiding his insecurities and fears under a thick mask. He does not stray from the rules or common sense of fair play, however he will place his own safety above that of others, should it come to something he fears he cannot handle.
Ejji dislikes to talk more than he needs to, meaning that while engaging in coversation he will only reply with short phrases and stick to the point of conversation. However should he need to explain something, he will get into great detail, so that his words are not wasted. The Reiguu heir also loves to read. It is his favourite pastime, standing even above sword practise or meditation.
Ejji's worst point is his highly competitive nature. He strives to become the best of the best, and when someone rivals him in anything, he becomes agrissively obsessed with challenging those people, wishing to show them, that they are only second best. In case of a loss, he would... deflate for a few days, devastated by the fact he was beaten, coming back for a rematch as soon as he feels better.
He, however, is not striving always to be a leader. He values experience and good leadership far more than being in control. He supports logical and efficient decisions.
Ejji has a secret side to him. One that he supresses as best he can, somewhat in vain all the same. It is his love for cute things, as well as being a hopeless romantic, starving for real affection from the opposite gender. When those feelings are revealed, he will show far more emotion than he usually does. He is usually accustomed to usual female attention, however he would instantly turn bashful and try to cover blushing by being as stoic and evasive as he can. Ejji is not accustomed to sincere, true emotions of gratitude and friendship, and will act cold and stoic, while actually relishing in the feeling of being valued.
Same goes for his love for plush toys, figurines, small animals, etc. He even has a moderate room conjoined with his bedroom in the mansion, where he stores all his "treasures", for fear of anyone finding out... aside from his mother, of course.
When it comes to his parents - he is a mommy's boy. Willing to do anything for her approval and affection. He loves spending time with her whenver possible, pleading for her to carve out free time in her busy work schedule.

The Potential

Strengths:
—Strength Name: Laido Style Swordsmanship.
—Description: Laido is a modern Japanese martial art based on shinbudo, associated with the smooth, controlled movements of drawing the sword from its scabbard or saya, striking or cutting an opponent, removing blood from the blade, and then replacing the sword in the scabbard. However, Ejji may use the syle for multiple slashes before sheating the sword completely.
—Strength Name: Strength of Perception.
—Description: Ejji is highly perceptive, which means he is capable of easily indetifying the little things and quirks in conversation, watching sublte twitches and changes in people. He is adept at detecting lies and reading a person's general mood or personality. His perception abilities also help him a bit with his hearing and smell, allowing for stronger scents and further sound reception, both of which can be a downside as well. This skill also has a use in observing enviroment, or if looking for subtle clues.
—Strength Name: Intelligence.
—Description: Ejji's developed intellect allows for easier studying and understanding of the mechanics of the world around him. Ejji's intellect also helps him when interacting with others, helping him discern and spot someone plotting or using him for their own goals. Adding Ejji's perception to the mix makes him a formidable opponent when it comes to the matters of the mind and tongue. Ejji is also adept at thinking quick and making the most logical and successive decisions, be it for his own good, or the good of others.
—Strength Name: Fleet of Foot.
—Description: Ejji is a good runner, both fast and somewhat enduring, he can keep up a good pace for a little longer than most. This allows for faster movement, running speed or pursuit; as well as allowing Ejji to quickly move about a possible battlefield, even if the quarters are not too spacious. And if there is great danger - he can run away fast.
—Strength Name: Ice Facade.
—Description: One of his greatest skills, is the one that allows him to keep a cool and collected appearance anywhere, anytime. This helps him deal with an array of situations, both inside and outside of battle. This also helps him keep himself in check, and not succumb to anger or taunts, as well as keeping a sharp mind in case he needs to think fast to get out of a sticky situation. This skill also gives him a near-perfect "poker face", so he's pretty hard to read.
Weaknesses:
—Weakness Name: Challenging.
—Description: Ejji is quite arrogant in that aspect. He never backs down from a challenge, when one is issued, and rarely takes a defeat good-naturedly when it happens. Be it studies, sword practise or whatever else - Ejji desires to be on the very top of the hill. He is not against the idea of throwing down the glove himself. Nor does he take well to those who are better than him in any given aspect. However - he will not resort to petty hatred an dirty tricks... a rematch is more likely to follow soon.
—Weakness Name: Standing Above.
—Description: Ejji had the kind of upbringing that has made him think that he is better than most people around him. He is not to be commanded or ridiculed by those below him, or even most of equal standing. He will not perform menial tasks for anyone, save for himself. While he has no problem with following other's lead in battle, seeing the logic and efficiency where it is. He will refuse to acknowledge outright dominating orders.
—Weakness Name: Loner.
—Description: For all his courage, Ejji is not good with crowds and gatherings, usually seeking isolated places where he can be left alone, to his own business. When in the presence of more than 6-7 unknown people, his mood begins to lower fast. He can become snippy, arrogant and rude in his remarks. In a crowd of more than 20 unknown people - he starts sweating and fidgeting, breaking his "Ice Facade". Does not include school classes and activities.
—Weakness Name: Better you, than Me.
—Description: Ejji has no trouble making someone take a hit for him. In fact he prefers it to be so, valuing his own life and well-being far above others health, mental or physical. Ejji would rather make a safe retreat than making a scuicidal charge, in case he sees that he or his party are highly outmached or largely outnumbered. He will, however, try and persuade his alies to retreat as well, and will not leave completely and without warning.
—Weakness Name: Cute and Cuddly.
—Description: Ejji has a secret weakness for things cute and cuddly. He will not be able to raise his hand or his blade upon something that he sees as such. In these situations, his most common ways of going through an obstacle cannot be used, and he has either to think of an alternative, or let someone else handle this. He also has a habbit of hiding his "cute collection" in his own personal quarters, in a separate room from his bedroom. If something cute suffers, he suffers along with it too.
Soul Bound Weapon:
Weapon Name: Ame-no-Tsuru.
Weapon Description: The weapon is a variation of the standard katana - an Ōkatana, being slightly longer than a simple katana. It has a green-colored handle, with a simple design, and an intricate gold circular-shaped guard. The blade itself is well-polished, even though it needs virtually no caring for, and it's clean state probably relates to it's master's keen intellect or state of mind. It's blade is 50 cm in length.

The Background

History:
Ejji traces his ancestors back to the time when the first settlements were formed in the Ueitawa Region. His dynasty had begun as simple folk, with little wealth and few connections. However as the time passed, the family grew and their businesses and standing prospered, until the Reiguu Family became akin to Royalty in the region.
Even though Ejji had been born long after such times, the fame of his line still stands high and true. Being one of the most wealthiest and influential families in the Nokawia, they are also well known in the neighbouring places. The many businesses and connections make them quite a widespread in the highest societies.
Being born into such a family had bestowed automatic duties on the young Reiguu Heir, having no other siblings to contend with ensures the inheritance of all the venues and fame. His parents having known the burden that will undoubtably befall their child, made sure that he would begin his training from early childhood.
Ejji Reiguu had little time for small pleasures while growing up, always training for the future job of being the one in control of the Reiguu family. The only few people who he had the pleasure interacting with were the mansion staff, the Head Butler Tatsuya-san, who had always been around to keep an eye of the young master, the many maids, two of which were his personal servants - Miya and Shizuka, and, naturally, his Mother and Father. Mostly his mother - Aimi Reiguu, seeing as his father - Hayate, who married into the Reiguu line would be busy most of the time, having a bette grip on the business aspects of the family. He would mostly be away on meetings.
it came as no surprise when he was admitted into the prestigious Kizuna Academy when the time came. After all, his family was a sponsor for that educational institute. It was then that Ejji truly understood the influence of money and power in society.
Since entering junior high school, he had gained more time to devote to himself. He chose to increase his swordsmanship training, which he had begun receiving years before, by enteing the Kendo Club. He had also developed a fondness for books, having the option to read something else aside from rules, guidelines and fairytailes.
During the latest years, he had become more and more secluded and lonely, limiting the interaction between him and other people, be they studens or teachers to only what is neccesary. Even the staff at the Mansion had noticed an increase in his usual aloof attitude. They were unable to adress the issue though, seeing as Ejji had little tolerance for their intrusions, which had been a rare problem in the past.
The reasons for this change remain unknown... for now.
