In both of the Aeon Arcana's appearances, the Social Link characters in question were unfamiliar with the way the real world works, and struggled to discover their own place in this unfamiliar world.

Base & Transformed Appearance: At her base appearance, Rita seems like an ordinary young woman. She stands at 5'7 while weighing around the average for that height at 62 kilograms. Her figure is what you'd expect from a developed woman, with a soft feminine face and big round eyes with yellow irises. She also has extremely long jet black hair, tied into a large braid for convenience as letting it hang loose would easily allow it to fall to her knees. Rita wears her hair somewhat disheveled, mostly due to a lack of comb, and a prominent cowlick sticks out the top of her head.

Her clothing consists of short-sleeved red dyed leather tunic with strings tying it at her chest, a pair of black shorts, black pantyhose and a single long black glove over her left hand. For footwear, she wears a pair of leathers boots in the same color as her tunic, with metallic toes and soles as well as a pair of metallic shin guards. Even in base form, though, she still carries her weapon with her at all times; on her right forearm she wears a silver glove with a metallic ornate compartment on it that houses a spring-loaded short blade in it. The housing for the blade is made in the shape of a gauntlet and bears a red gem at its center. Just as well inside her left boot is a smaller hidden blade in a similar compartment, kept there thanks to the relatively high soles on both boots.

The Last Angel's transformed appearance, though, while similar to her normal one has quite a lot of obvious differences. Her height doesn't change, for one, though with the sprouting of 5-feet long black wings from her lower back Rita's weight gains an extra 20 pounds, 10 from each wing. This gives her a wingspan of 10 feet total. Her hair unravels itself upon transforming, easily falling to the aforementioned length of around her knees. Her clothing is the most noticeable change aside from the wings, as it becomes far more revealing and easy to move around in. For one, her shirt, shorts and pantyhose all become heavily tattered, her shorts held tightly by improvised strings resembling those on her chest, which remain to hold her top together and prevent it from falling off. The whole ensemble also looks more ornate than before, despite its tatters, with patterns of emblems finely printed into the fabric of her clothing.

A new addition to her clothes is a long black jacket, tattered at the edges and at the left sleeve. Just as well, the black glove on her left hand is now replaced by a secure wrapping of pure white bandages that she's unable to actually remove. Her boots shift to a more military appearance, with her left leg losing its shin guard but her right leg's morphing into larger armor that covers up to her knee. To top off the outfit, a multitude of belts are hastily fastened around a lot of her clothing, as due to its tattered nature it needs as much to secure it as possible. The gauntlet holding her blade also changes somewhat, now with a smaller black glove with red edges that hooks onto her middle finger like a bridal glove. Both blades retain their appearance. Finally, after her transformation the Last Angel's eyes shift from gold to red, as opposed to the other way around.

When using physical skills, though, the bandages around her let arm deform as it bulges unnaturally and suddenly, forming into a gigantic demonic claw that easily doubles her reach with that arm alone. Magical skills can also be channeled through the claw, in the form of a ball of energy. After using the skill, though, it returns to its inert bandaged form. The full claw, from shoulder to point, measures at around 5 feet in length, giving the Last Angel immense reach from just a standing position.

Personality: The Last Angel at a first glance is a tragic figure, having forcefully fought in a game of deities that she never desired to be a part of. Emerging the victor, she lost her humanity as her Reason turned to Apathy, creating a world of stagnation and pure survival without the drive to advance. Rita's personality heavily averts her Reason, however, as she regrets the feeling that welled up within her when she killed the Mother being the catalyst to creating a world that was doomed from the start. On the surface she puts up a front of calm and serenity, with thought-out reasoning nurtured from millenia of observing a world of instinct and stability. Bearing the thousands of years of an Angel, she carries with her apparent wisdom and intelligence, as well as insight into human nature.

However, that's only the facet she puts on for the world. In truth, the years of stagnation gave her a warped view of the world and what people are like, a sort of Stockholm Syndrome-esque condition that led her to believe that her Reason of Apathy had always been the norm, even if she knew that wasn't true. The overwhelming majority of her long life has been spent observing stagnant humans, and as such she can't remember what they were like before her World came to be.

That said, she also bears deep-seated anger within herself, a desire to lash out at the world and rebel against the powers above; in her own world, there were few above her and none that interfered, so this desire manifests in a brutal and cruel fighting style that capitalizes on inflicting pain and unleashing as much anger as possible. This could be called her True Self, a rebellious fighter who bore such anger at the world she killed her own Mother and destroyed it to remake it anew.

Regardless, the Last Angel still holds a fascination for humanity and especially the City of Junction as it easily destroys her expectations and has her wander around in a new, strange world. After being disconnected from reality for so long, Rita seems more like a child exploring the world for the first time, her astonishment not readily apparent in her expression but in her heart and ignorance, despite her inherent knowledge and wisdom.

The Potential

Strengths:

—Strength Name: Double Up
—Description: Rita's fighting style changed dramatically from her human incarnation; bearing now two blades, she fights using a system of martial arts and swordfighting involving kicks and punches, coupled with both her Gauntlet Blade and Hidden Dagger to cause increasingly aggravated damage to enemies. That said, her Hidden Dagger is simply a supplement to her real weapon, serving as a quick follow-up attack that shares its properties with the Gauntlet Blade proper. As such, if one is broken by a skill, so is the other, as they are two points of the same weapon. In PvS, this simply allows Rita to attack an additional time per turn with her Soulbound weapon. In PvP, this makes her able to clash against Dex using both the blade on her right hand and her left foot, with the aforementioned condition applying.

—Strength Name: Heaven's Wrath
—Description: Surprisingly, the Last Angel relies nearly completely on her Soulbound Weapon for fighting and is extremely well-versed in it. Both blades' edges are sharper and more durable than many other Soulbound Weapons', making them not only more damaging but also superior in regards to other normal weapons. This may or may not be a byproduct of her convinction and anger fueling her own soul's manifestation. Mechanically, this gives her a 15% Boost to Dexterity-based damage (not to the stat itself).

—Strength Name: Blazing Raven
—Description: The wings on the Last Angel's back when she's in her True Self form aren't merely decoration. Despite their large size and Rita's weight while bearing them, they're fully capable of lifting the Angel up off the ground and allowing her to fly freely for up to 6 meters off the ground at a time (though she can reach higher by leaping off taller things and simply floats down gradually). When flying, she can move at about running pace provided no skills are enhancing her agility. Obviously, she can only use this when transformed like any other Shadow Self.

—Strength Name: Enhanced Eidetic Memory
—Description: The result of becoming an Angel. Rita's memory goes beyond the capacity of a human being, as she's capable of recalling somewhat recent events (up to a few months back, even) in astounding detail, as long as she has analyzed them enough to understand their contents. She can recall intricate sequences of characters up to the tenth place without straining her mind, and more if she takes a moment to think further. When it comes to written texts, she's also capable of quoting phrases fairly easily if she has previously taken the time to read the original text she's recalling. When it comes to patterns or puzzles, she's able to engrave them into her mind through the use of specific mnemonics.

—Strength Name: Supernatural Intellect
—Description: Again due to her experiences as an Angel, Rita is knowledgeable about certain supernatural effects and creatures. Shadows, Demons, Personas, they're all common knowledge for her not only due to her past journey but also due to being a supernatural deity herself before arriving in Junction. Granted, this only applies to knowledge of their existence and what kinds of feats are usually possible with them from past experiences.

—Racial Strength Name: Reason of Calamity
—Description: The Last Angel is, as her name indicates, an Angel and like the rest of her kind she is able to bestow unto others her blessing if they wish to align themselves with her and both hold a minimum Social Link Rank of 5 with each other. She doesn't possess this blessing herself because it's a power that's made from her base, not a replication. She may grant the following Strength and Weakness combination to anyone who is willing to follow her, and it can only be revoked by her or anyone else with a similar power; one person may not have two of the same blessing at one time and similar Strengths will outright override this one when bestowed unto others:

—Strength/Weakness Name: Envoy of Calamity
—Description: Through the Last Angel's power, you feel a rebellious surge within your soul and a desire to accomplish whatever goals you hold through whatever means necessary. You may choose a single Tier 2 or below skill to link to your Soulbound Weapon. This skill may be used without a catalyst and deals damage based on the Dexterity stat, though can only crit if it's a Physical skill and costs the same amount as it usually would. In addition, you gain a 15% boost to your Dexterity stat. To compensate, you must choose a single slot on your skillset that allows for Tier 2 or below skills and seal it permanently. If you have multiple skillsets, you must seal one skill in each (in Overdose, the sealed skill is the same slot in both skillsets, no question). In addition, you gain a 7% Reduction to both Ppstr and Pmstr.

Weaknesses:

—Weakness Name: Clipped Wings
—Description: The Last Angel's wings are essential towards her flight, and if they're damaged in any way, she'll be grounded for the rest of the match. The wings are able to be damaged with real damage, and if even one of them is hurt to the point where it'd be impossible for Rita to use it properly, she becomes completely incapable of flight. This can also be achieved with certain Persona skills if the opponent is creative enough, but unlike with real damage these won't cripple her wings completely. The wings regenerate through resting in her Base Form for an extended period of time (recovers after a thread is completed).

—Weakness Name: Bloody Angel
—Description: As previously mentioned, the anger in Rita's fighting style is easily noticeable and exploitable, only making it easier to aggravate her when in such a state. This will likely have very adverse effects on the enemy, due to her fighting style being heavily based around Soulbound Weaponry, but it can also work against her in investigations if skills are capable of being used. The Rage Ailment has an increased 15% chance of being successfully applied when used on her.

—Weakness Name: Angel of Light
—Description: Despite her appearances, the Last Angel in reality governs light and the primordial flame. Her talents are heavily rooted in the Sun Arcana despite her personality having changed to fit another one primarily, such that skills that snuff out said light will naturally be more effective. Dark Skills deal 15% more damage in PvP and if they deal damage (Eiha line) and have an extra 15% chance of hitting her if they don't (Mudo line).

—Weakness Name: Human Ignorance
—Description: Drawn from thousands of years of stagnation, the Last Angel doesn't understand humanity's true mentality in any feasible capacity. She sees the world she now lives in as a strange place, so different from her own that it's impossible for her to completely comprehend it without heavily researching it over the course of her own journey. Rita will often be at a loss on how to deal with humans and human problems, though she may still feel empathy towards them nonetheless.

—Weakness Name: Renegade Goddess
—Description: Being an Angel, Rita isn't governed by the Gods of the subconscious and doesn't receive their blessing for existing. She's instead counted as an anomaly, a Shadow Self born from a different process altogether that doesn't involve Nyarlathotep at all. As she isn't under his blessing, it's highly unlikely she'll be granted a Reverse Persona by him at all and as such must obtain one through other means if that is even possible.

—Racial Weakness Name: Lord of Calamity
—Description: One thing that is plainly obvious to those she bestows her blessings: they are her subjects. Like Angels before her, the Last Angel considers those who work in her name as only soldiers to do her bidding and not much else. Though she can recognize them as people and confide in them at times, the Calamity that ties them will forever recognize the Last Angel as above them. Any and all Social Links that receive the Last Angel's blessing are immediately incapable of using any exclusive Social Link abilities with her (i.e. Not Today! or Team Attacks). If they previously had them before, these are sealed and incapable of being used. This does not seal off their Social Link, but it revokes any benefit it may give either party (aside from the bonus stats from three solo ranks). This only applies to Social Links with the Last Angel; those with her blessing can still make use of these abilities with others, just not with her.

Soul Bound Weapon:

Weapon Name: Gauntled Blade/Hidden Dagger
Weapon Description: The weapon is comprised of two parts: a medium-length spring-loaded blade on Rita's wrist gauntlet and a similarly operated short dagger at the base of her left boot. The longer of the blades measures at around 75 centimeters of length total, with 15 of those overlapping with Rita's fist. It ends in a fine point and is sharp all around its edges, with a pure reflective sheen. The dagger is similar in appearance, but extends only 25 centimeters off the tip of the foot. Both of the spring-lock mechanisms are operated automatically through Rita's mind, just as any other Soulbound Weapon would be summoned with merely a thought.

Side-Arm Name: Daemonic Claw
Side-Arm Description: Her claw can strangely act exactly like a shotgun through consuming ammo and igniting it using the Last Angel's natural affinity towards fire. This, however, is only in her True Self form, as in her base form Rita instead wields a sawed off dyed red shotgun with intricate decorations on it that resemble her regular claw. In her base form, it takes two hands to wield it, but when she is the Last Angel it's as simple as raising her claw towards the enemy.

The Background

History: //"..you really want me to tell you my story? Well, I suppose I don't mind. Sit down, it's a long one and I'm not really keen on telling it in the first place..."//

There once lived two girls in these islands; close as sisters, yet not tied by blood; loved each other like husband and wife, yet no ring sealed their bond. It was immeasurable, like no other love you could possibly imagine, a desire to protect one another that made them capable of facing the greatest challenges together. The two fought against many an evil side by side. One used flames, the other controlled the winds. One with hair like the shining sun, and the other bearing the forest's richest green, their story begins in their home, forced to undergo a sick game that pits people against each other for reasons they don't fully understand. Beings from a higher plane fought each other with humans beneath them to attain the power to change the world. Many fell to this conflict, their bodies still honored to this day in these islands that housed such deep sadness and anger... but these two girls, they refused to submit to the game.

Together, they fought the higher beings and their followers, gaining allies along the way as they went. One, a tall man with dark skin; he held control over the cold, and formed a deep friendship with the girl that held her flame in her heart. Another, an eccentric fellow, forger of his own path but with a deeply unfashionable sense of style. He and the girls became comrades-in-arms, even if their views weren't completely aligned for a time... for you see, this girl whose heart was ablaze was a rowdy person, one whose temper couldn't be calmed by the rationality of arguments, only by the soothing words of her lifelong companion. She was determined, and pushed against the odds to achieve her own rebellion against the matriarch that in her mind so selfishly imposed this challenge upon their unwitting community. She fought so hard that one day, she was unable to contain herself, and with the dark-skinned man's aid, ended up striking down one of the higher beings by accident. She never wished to take a life, she never wished to cause harm upon them, but nonetheless by her flames the Being by the name of Taru. Terrified, she ran from her mistake, she ran to forget the sorrow, ran back to her lover's arms to confess and atone...

...but this served only as fuel for her rebellion. She blamed her mistake on the matriarch, reasoning that her child would not need undergo such suffering were it not for this unreasonable trial she had so greedily demanded of them. The girl whose flame lit her life screamed out to the skies in anger, shouted at the top of her lungs for an answer as cold tears streamed down her face. She never did get her answer that night, and so sought shelter with the girl who let the winds of life teach her the right path. The blazing girl continued her heretical crusade, challenging the beings' representatives... but eventually, her path was impeded by one who claimed he was one of the original gods. While she and her companion fought bravely, this god, a blood-soaked man with a mane of fire, was simply too much for them to defeat outright. And so, they escaped, unable to keep the full extent of their confidence when faced with such an opponent. Desiring power, the girl whose flame seared the path ahead braved her inner self, attaining the light that would illuminate her rebellion against these powers above, the flames that would grant her the strength to rise from the ashes of her defeat. And so she fought, she fought valiantly with all her heart and all her friends, eventually even putting a final end to the blood-soaked man with her flames. The path ahead was one of revolution, one where she would need put an end to the matriarch if she ever wished to be free of this sick and twisted game...

Unfortunately, the girl whose winds had led her to a better choice in life, the girl who had served as her lifelong companion, could not accept this new goal of hers. Disturbed by the blazing girl's mentality and killing intent, she abandoned her in fear of what she would do to this world, and so sorrow set deep inside the girl whose flame had been extinguished by mere words alone. This sorrow had led her to seek aid from her soul, aid from the sea of the unconscious itself, and attain the power to accomplish her goals alone. Her wish was granted, and so her hair was charred to a cold blackened hue, its former radiance diluted by the burning of her soul as it transcended humanity and became something more... something like the beings she so desperately wished to drive back. Her world was a rebellious one, one that didn't need a supervisor or heavenly beings, a world where humans needed only follow the winds of life like her lover so dearly told her.

She attained strength, enough strength to face the matriarch herself, but when it came the time to propose her own reason for existing... she couldn't. Without her lover by her side, the girl whose flame had led her to incinerate her own path stood pointless in front of her heavenly mother... but even then, her rebellious streak led her to taking even her own mother's life by the edge of her sword. The matriarch, knowing of her own selfishness, apologized to her daughter for the sorrow she had caused her, and forgave her for what she had done, before passing away with a sadness in her eyes. The girl, emotionless, waited for her mother's body to vanish, as a new world was created from the emptiness inside her heart. She had won, and her rebellion was successful, but the void in her heart could never be filled. Even with this new world to call hers, even seeing her former lover, she could think no more than a pure distaste for the power she had attained.

The flame inside her heart would never burn again.
