It was a night at the casino, and as usual, Gabe was working for the time being. It wasn't like he didn't want to be here, but he couldn't help but to have other things on his mind. As a matter of fact, Gabe's aura today had a tinge of impatience to it, wondering when the shift was over. However, it wasn't going to be over anytime soon, this branch was his responsibility now that his shop was gone. On top of that, me maintained his smile as he walked around the floor and mingled with the guests. Tonight seemed like an ordinary night, so he thought.

Getting inside the Lucky Clover was much easier than Athena expected to be, despite the young of her age she was allowed inside the casino thanks to her cadet membership. It has been some time since Athena had seen Gabe, between his shifts at the casino and her responsibilities as cadet the couple had limited free time. Spotting Gabe proved much more changeling though, the casino was massive and the numerous patrons and employees wandering the hall didn't help much. Athena hoped that her extravagant outfit would be enough to draw Gabe's attention to her at least or else she would be forced to keep looking for him.

Thither was a bit of whispers going around due to the outfit that Athena was wearing. Rich husbands with their trophy wives staring a little too hard, taking hold of the attention of their significant other and prompting a firm smack. It was comical at best, but one of the casino dealers at lucky clover that met Athena before walked on over and whistled. “Oh boy, looks like Gabriel has his hands full. Were you looking for him? “The man would say with as he took out his walkie and decided to call Gabe over. “ Ay Gabriel, I think there is a fine looking lady that’s waiting to meet you.

While Gabe was upstairs, he was afforded the guest list a final look over before fully sending it out and being ready for the charity event. His boss and foster father took in a scrap of a higher expectation from Gabe after his other business took a wrong act. As a matter of fact, it seemed that Gabe’s work increased since it occurred. Though, his work was a bit disturbed when he was called over. “I’ll be down in a moment. You cognize that the invitees will be coming in an hour.”

Getting down, Gabe would get a look in the distance, watching his friend. All the same, he also saw somebody else, a beautiful woman that he hasn’t seen in a spell. "Athena, you’re a bit early, I was going to send a taxi for you. “Though, he instantly noticed her outfit and smiled. “I realize you are shooting for the “best dressed” award this year.

"Gabe, it's so good to see you." Athena said as she offered the man an embrace, without waiting for a sign of consent the young model wrapped her hands around her friend's bigger frame.
"I wasn't aware there was an oriental theme, had I knew I would have wore something more appropriate. The girl gave the man a mischievous smile before continuing. "Then again I've been looking for an excuse to wear something like this.
I wore it for a job a month ago and the designer allowed me to keep it as a gift. It's such a shame I rarely go to events where such fashion is common. It isn't too revealing, is it?" Athena finally asked as she adjusted the dress on her upper torso. This move however was just an excuse so the cadet could test her new powers.
"Then again even if I was aware of the theme I don't believe my wardrobe have any clothes that would align with your dress code."

Athena maintained a clueless expression as she watched how Gabe and the other patrons of the shop were being affected by her little spell, if she didn't covet the social benefits of her cadet status she would still apply for the job just for the power her persona provided. Still power had no meaning if she didn't use it properly. "Oh I'm alright Gabe." She replied with a smile "I just want to spent some time with you, because of my duties and your job we barely have enough time for each other... maybe if you're not too busy we can walk around the casino for a bit."

The young model scanned the area around her before she spoke again, several of the people have had their attentions drawn to her and they were obviously checking her out, it was good to see that the spell bypassed gender since among her wanna-be suitors many of them were female, as for the others Athena decided to believe that they simply paid attention to her in a more subtle manner. However, things would take a bit of a turn when she seemed to of had something on her mind, requesting Gabe's presence in private He didn't know what could be bothering her, but maybe the party could do without his presence for a little bit. Moving over to his friend, he would whisper in his ear. "Keep things running smoothly, keep the boss happy. If I'm asked for, just walkie me again. " After his buddy gave Gabe the nod, he would take Athena's hand and bring her upstairs to the penthouse office.

After arriving, Gabe would direct her to one of the couches. "Make yourself comfortable, feel free to watch the charity event from the transparent glass window. Well, they can't see us at least. " Gabe then sat down next to Athena if she did sit. "Whats wrong?"

Athena looked out of the window, she could use hanging with Gabe in such fancy places, it was a pity she couldn't play pretend in there since she was already feeling like a crime lord. "Nothing is wrong, at least nothing new has happened but I still have to tell you something. Think of it as a proposal." She took a deep breath before continuing. "Gabe, you're one of the few people in this city whom I trust. I have also spent enough time with you to realize that you have a strong sense of self and that's why I wanted to ask you to join the cadets along with me." Athena paused to check the man's expression, he was definitely going to be happy for the invitation for sure and together they could dominate the cadet ranks.

Gabe was rather surprised that such an offer came around to him. He didn’t know what to think about it, having a bit of a silly look on his face. However, deep down inside, he was sad and afraid. Was it son to be over? Will he be found out? How would she react to his answer? And most of all, what would be the right answer in this particular situation.

“Athena… I don’t know what to say. You want to be apart of the class zero? Isn’t it the best of the best? As well as dealing with terrorists? Though disappointed Athena couldn't bring herself to object as she guessed it wouldn't do any good at that point, still she would probably try to recruit him again. I'm not very good at bonding with people you're the first person I allowed to get this close in years." She placed her arms on her legs and stared at her feet before she continued. It was both awkward and liberating to admit this but still the model couldn't bring herself to look at Gabe fearing what his reaction would be, she didn't want to think that she was clingy or anything like that.

"First person? In years? I wouldn;t think of you to be anything but a social butterfly, but perhaps it;s not fair to think that you could easily connect with people. It's hard, it's a bit difficult to assert yourself in someone's life enough to be relevant to them. In a way, for it to go far, you would have to make yourself vulnerable. "

Gabe then decided to sit next to her. "What about the people that you work with? Are they considered as people that you can't trust? Isn't that dangerous for the kind of work that you do?" Gabe would say this with a worried look on his face." I can't do what you can do, but if seeing me makes you happy, you can come by my house. We don't live that far from each other. I just don't know if your parents approve of you sleeping over.

Athena stopped for a moment and looked at her feet "God, what I'm about to say will sound really cheesy but here goes:Since I was a kid I found out the more people I trusted and cared about the more disappointed I would become. So for some time I just sat back and began studying people, you know what makes them tick and all of that, it didn't take me too long to become good at it too. The less I cared about them the easier it was for me to manipulate them but even the coldest of us have feelings and in your case I let mine get the best of me." Athena would smile and look back again at Gabe "Coming to your house would make me really happy,
we haven't got a chance to be together in private for a long time...well I suppose technically this counts as private but you know what I mean, don't you?"

Considerably, you know, life isn’t this neat line where everything just happens and you aren’t satisfied with a disappointing period of your liveliness. "Sounds like fun, we should pick a horror movie or something, I love those... unless they are not what you're into." Athena replied then after she thought a bit more about it she added "Actually there is a certain movie I wanted to watch.
Soon I'm going to work with Nelson Caperini, he's a very prestigious director and I have been planning on studying his work though due to my duties I haven't got the chance, we could watch one of his movies together, two pair of eyes are better than one and you have proven yourself to be perceptive, together we will notice more details."

The model replied shifting slightly from her seat. "I'm down with whatever you want to watch though. However, let's worry about it another time we ought to rejoin the party I'm sure your admirers are missing you dearly already."

I mean, Athena, if your acting career takes off and all of a sudden, you become the hottest thing in Hollywood and get thrown a bunch of parts, would that mean that you would ask to retire from being a cadet?" Gabe would say that in a curious tone, he wondered about the moment that Athena would hit a high pinnacle of success. Not the limit to her success, but a point of success that can possibly make a huge change in her life.

"Either way, i think watching his movie would help you better prepare for his part, so maybe it would be for the best to do so. "Laughing a bit, Gabe would then stand up. "I don't mind putting my own interests on hold if we can both find something that's enjoyable and that could help you at the same time. Gabe would also offer his arm. "And you're right, we should head back."

"Upon returning , the party was underway with the guests already mingling with each other. The first professional set of performers were already set up with a huge space being omitted to them, as well as an expensive looking safety net being at the bottom. "Oh, one of the people i booked. " Swinging from the balcony, an athletic woman would then do a few somersaults on the swing before her partner swinging caught the woman and swung to the other side.
