| The voices of the forest were active this morning. From the scratching of animals on bark and the calls of birds hiding among the branches, the forest was alive with life and no longer void and teeming with demons. From the familiar grove he had found before, Lui strolled through the faint dirt paths of the deeper forest. In his hand were a collection of thicker sticks to drive in the ground as he walked, keeping them to the right to indicate where he walked. The echoing voice of Shirokishi echoed in his mind. "You ARE aware that my powers are limited to night activities, correct?" "Yeah, I figured. But if we're going to really test the extent of our abilities, I'd prefer to find a location further from the populated areas in here."
For a moment, Lui stopped dead in his tracks. Whether it was his reaction or the unseen knight's observance, he felt that something was watching him. He kept his right hand primed at his side, ready to summon his weapon at the first sign of danger. "H-hello? Somebody there?"

| With careful steps, Void would paw his way silently through the forest. He'd had all night now to become accustom to his new body, his true body, the being he'd always wanted to be for as long as he could remember. He was filled with such glee with being now one with the creatures of the forest. Void would lick his paws and run them over his head before scratching at his ears as he walked. He was a strange shadow in the sense that he remained in his true form to himself, yet could fake his image to others to see him for who he used to be. He'd stop still as his ears flicked up at the sound of someone walking, he'd advance as quickly and quietly as he could to a nearby bush to watch whoever it was from the safety of staying hidden. It was a boy... Some guy who'd decided to venture into his domain. He'd smirk a fanged grin as he heard the boy call out if anyone was around before standing up into plain sight. He'd keep his mischievous grin on his face but say nothing, simply staring at the boy through white soulless eyes. - Relevant Strengths:
—Strength Name: Illusionist —Description: Void has developed a love for his true form, up to the point where he simply refuses to change back to his former self. Because of this he instead learned how to fool others into seeing his human form whilst only allowing those he trusts to see who he truly is.
Despite the fact Void cannot leave his true form after being obsessed by it. He casts an illusion on himself to look like the boy he used to be before being consumed. Even if he still sees himself for who he truly is, his true form is hidden from sight to others.

| His eyes moved from tree to tree and bush to bush until they finally fell onto... a little kid? From behind the bush appeared a little kid appearing to be around 12 years old stood up from his hiding place behind the bush. His tensed hand had relaxed but remained at his side as he slowly approached the boy. As he waved hello, Shirokishi chimed in. "There is something strange about this..." "You never know. Maybe it's just a kid who enjoys playing out here. We know Bat lives nearby, so maybe he does too." "True, but this one's appearance seems rather unkempt. I would like to inquire into this."
Dropping out of the conversation for now, Lui stopped glancing behind him to talk and looked down on the boy. He knelt down on one knee to greet him. The boy's face had a little bit of dirt here and there, and his black shirt had small but noticeable tears all over. He looked him in the eye, a caring smile worn on his face. "Hey, kiddo. What are you playing out here? You look a bit ruffed up as it is. No big injuries, I hope?"

| Void's eyes would narrow as whoever this guy was began approaching towards him. He found that to be quite a bold move, a stupid one at that, you should never judge a book by its cover. Although, it could be fun to mess around with him for a while. Maybe learn a thing or two about ways he could manipulate people into helping him... How to keep himself hidden, or just why other people came here in the first place. They were all interesting questions and Void wouldn't lose his mischievous grin as the guy approached, simply tilting his head lightly in curiosity as a light growl emitted from within him. More as a way to show dominance than to actually be threatening.
"Play...?" The Shadow Self would reply simply as his grin grew longer. "Teheheh..." He'd bite onto his bottom lip and chew at it lightly as he continued to speak. "I was hoping to play with you..." The Shadow Wolf would look down at himself as he was told about his condition, it wasn't a lie that he had dirt staining his fur, but it wasn't like it bothered him much. "Is all you people do is worry... Why worry about that which wont kill you... There are plenty of things that will to be worried about..."

| Alright, something was certainly off about this one. The kid was acting rather mischievous, as if "playing" with this thing would entail a more dangerous game than expected. Lui got onto his feet again, his hand back to primed position while he answered the strange kid's inquiry.
"Why worry? I'm more curious than worried. But your parents may be a little upset about tearing up your clothes. But you mentioned a game? I don't have much to do right now, so I'm game. What do you want to play?"
"Careful... Something seems wrong with this one."

| "Nervous...?" The boy would tease as the guy stood back to his feet after hearing Void speak his nonsense. Curious... It didn't take a lot to put someone on edge... How very interesting... The Shadow Wolf would suddenly spit at the very sound of the word "parents". "Tsch. Useless beings... No one I need... I don't need anyone to live..." He'd bark with a low growl following afterwards, even if this guy hadn't meant it in that way, Void hated to be told he couldn't be independent and that he had to rely on some 'guardian' figure to be able to survive in this world. Pfft. He knew how to survive with nothing at all way better than any of these civilized peasants that crawled into his forest.
Void would hum lightly when the guy said he'd play a game with him... Yet that was an interesting question... What should they play...? "Surprise me." The roughed up boy would eventually reply, intrigued by what kinds of games humans would usually suggest as a way to pass the time. "Let's see if you can entertain me..."

| Was Lui nervous? He wasn't afraid of the child nor expecting it to claw out his throat, so what was he on guard for? Simple, really; it was Shirokishi. After what happened to him the night of his awakening, he became more aware of his surroundings, nervous that an unseen Cadet or demon could ambush him. Realizing that the boy was questioning if he was nervous, he calmed down and held his hand down. "Nervous? Not sure. Just that feeling I'm being watched, you know? Forest tends to make me feel that way. Also, why the sour attitude? Do you not like them? I can't exactly relate, but family's important. " When it came to discussing what game to entertain the child with, Lui looked around to see what he could work with. There were a few sizeable branches lying on the ground, a few trees Lui suspected he could still climb, and a long stretch of dirt path. Lui consider his options and presented his ideas to the boy. "Well. let's see... These branches look big enough to use for some mock sword fighting. Do kids still play fight these days? We could always climb up these trees, see how far we can both go. Or, if you're willing, we could always race each other down the path. If you got anything better in mind, I'm all ears, kiddo." | |

| "The forest always watches... You just need to know how to watch your back." The boy would reply, cracking his neck to one side to both look further behind this new face whilst still keeping his eyes on him. "They disgust me. There is no other reasons needed..." He'd growl louder, clearly not happy with talking about this subject. "They're all dead to me, if not dead already..."
Void would stare at each of the places where the new face suggested games could work. He'd hum slightly, the crazed grin returning to his face. "I'd prefer to fight with my own paws than use some rotting stick..." He'd look down at his paws as he spoke, flexing them back and forth, running his claws along to fur of his paws gently feeling how sharp they'd become. They could easily tear this new face apart if he wanted to... Yet for now, lets see what kinds of entertainment he can provide. No point in rushing it and only having a few moments of fun... "I'm a fast runner, and it could be fun to test the grip of my claws in the trees..." Void would stare off into a further part of the forest for a moment before bringing his claws up to point at a far off pair of trees of similar height. "I'll play your games... We race to those trees... First one there and up to the second set of branches wins..." He'd smile slyly before adding. "The right tree is mine..."

| "Peculiar. He appears human, yet his references to his body sound more like he were a cub. Be on your guard; should he come at you with his "claws", you may need to deter him with force." "But what if this... person thing works for the Cadets? Soon as they see me using my weapon, he's got the dirt on me." "Then do not make it obvious. Now, keep your wits about you. Your race is starting."
"I'd prefer to fight with my own paws than use some rotting stick..." "And I'd prefer to do so with my saber. But I didn't consider training today, so it's not on me." "I'll play your games... We race to those trees... First one there and up to the second set of branches wins..." Lui wasn't sure about this one's attitude. Was he hoping to compete with Lui and mock him should he win? Or was it really just bored, looking for a challenge? Either way, Lui would put on a chipper and friendly attitude, hoping to cancel out any dents the boy would make on his pride. "Heh, fine by me. I'm interested to see how well I can keep up with a little pup such as yourself. Hoping to see a reaction from the boy for being referred to as a pup, Lui traced a line in the dirt with his last stick, indicating their starting line. "Ready to go? You count us off."

| Void's head would tilt to one side, he was confused on this new faces meaning of his words. Was he mocking him, generally curious if he could keep up with Void... Or was he trying to rile him up. As for starters he wasn't particularly keen on being called 'little'. He'd crack his neck further to one side before lifting his head back up. "It's never wise to tempt a beast to defend itself." He'd say slyly, not giving much thought to the words he was saying "No matter the size..."Void would reach up and snap a branch off of a nearby tree before scrapping a line across the dirt to indicate a starting line. "We start here, we go on the word go. Finish line is when you are sitting on the second up branch of your tree." The Shadow Self would repeat the rules out loud with a smirk on his face, this should be fun to test himself in other ways than just attacking things. He thought it could be some fun... Crouching down, the shadow wolf would begin the count down... "Ready... Set... Go." | |

| What was with this kid and his head tilting? He seemed to act adversely to what he was saying, but that did mean it was affecting him. And yet the references to animals kept coming. Just how often was this kid outside in the forest? Something to ask after the race, Lui supposed.
"It's never wise to tempt a beast to defend itself."
"I'll keep it in mind. Now, second branch on the left, eh? Okay, ready..."
Leaning forward just as the boy had done, Lui waited in anticipation until the word "Go!" sounded off. Lui quickly pushed forward, breaking off into a sprint as he focused on the trunk of the left tree, looking for a foothold to quickly boost himself up to the first branch. Seeing something bolt from the corner of his eye, Lui looked back at the approaching figure as he pushed himself up to the first branch...

| "Mmmm..." Void would of been eyeing the track, marking out each step he'd take, scanning for any and all obstacles that he may trip over or that may block his path as he was starting the count down... He was used to running in the forest, he'd done it all his life, but it always helped to plan ahead and to know the paths you take. That was why animals tended to always use the same paths multiple times to get around. "... Go." As the shadow wolf would growl go, he'd kick off with his back legs and almost instantly drop to an all fours style of running, pushing his weight off of out jutting tree trunks in order to get small boosts of speed. As he ran, he'd eye up the discarded branch he'd spotted on the ground before and would attempt to step on one side of it in a way to crack up into the new faces way, hoping to at least distract him if not trip him up in some way. - For Fun:
- Speed:
Whoever rolls higher out of ten was the fastest to reach the base of the trees. - Random number (1,10) :
- 8
- Trip Hazard:
Higher the number the worst the branch gets in the way. - Random number (1,10) :

| As the race went on, Lui saw the child blaze past him, crawling on all fours and bouncing off the tree trunks to make it to the tree. Lui was practically convinced that this kid was far from normal. Just to add to the potential danger of the race, he saw the boy kick up one of the branches into his path. Lui attempted to brace against the branch and push it aside as he moved to bounce off of the first branch to reach to the second branch. "When this is over, that kid better be ready to give me some answers."- What are the Odds?:

| "Grrr..." Void'd growl to himself, how was this pesky human keeping up with him? They were practically even on speed and both reached their individual trees at the exact same time. Not only that but his little trick to try and slow him down hasn't worked either... He hadn't planned for this... He was certain he was going to win this, especially once tripping him up... Yet nothing had gone his way. Despite all of that though... He felt a rush of enjoyment circle through him, a true challenge for him to really push himself to be better than he already was... He'd show this stupid new face, he'd be the first to claw his way up his tree! - Climbing Speed:
Same as before, whoever rolls highest out of 10 was fastest - Random number (1,10) :

| Lui could feel his legs aching as his speed appeared to match the bouncing wolf-like boy. The boy appeared to glare at the sprinting Lui and growling under his breath. Lui smiled as he appeared to be performing better than Void had anticipated. He could feel a cool chill running through his body as Shiro's voice returned to his mind. "Keep going, boy. Whatever this creature is, you must keep your energy up to prepare for an attack."Pushing up to the first branch as the boy had, Lui attempted to push off of the hanging limbs to thrust himself up to reach the second branch. Would he reach it first or look back up to see the boy waiting mockingly on the branch? "Done!"- Climb for Victory:
