It is a chill, grey day, way too cold for the season of Summer. The vividly purple, sunless sky, adorned with a couple of clouds here and there, looms above the bustling, panicked island city and the park in its center. And in that park, a single silhuette stands, looking up at the sky, seemingly dazed by the passing clouds. Yet, the atmosphere you feel as you approach the tall figure is that of melancholy, a sadness which overwhelms you as you get closer, growing even more stronger with each step.

And as you finally come close enough to make out the features of the figure, you realize you have seen the young man before. His scarf dances in the cold breeze, flowing like an etheral river, and his jacket, all wrinkled like he had not taken it off for several days on end, is unbottuned, revealing the t-shirt beneath. He doesn't notice you, and you feel like he would not notice you if you were to just turn around and walk back home, but still... You wonder.

What has happened to the man? Should you even approach him about it? The choice is yours to make...

It was a thankless day for Joshua. Things were going too fast for him, yes. He really wanted things to slow down just so he can easier adjust to the changing times. But, life wasn't going to be that kind. He had to find some allies around here or something that could give them the edge over that damned Egg.

But he noticed someone familiar. It was that irritable loner. Funny how he keeps meeting the same people. Though knowing his luck, this guy is probably a Persona User too, right?

"Hey there. Been a while, hasn't it?"

Charles was lost in the clouds. The way they slowly, yet surely drifted the skies managed to somewhat calm his heart in this unfortunate moment, even more so since the world has also aligned perfectly, as if it had been expecting this to happen on this exact day. The dullness of it all was the same as the dullness in Charles's soul. He was too lost to notice the world around himself and so he hadn't noticed Joshua as he approached. However , when Joshua spoke up, he snapped the android straight out of his little trance and Charles turned his head to look at him, his eyes reflecting the ill atmosphere of that day, melancholic, lifeless and lonely. Had he been a human, he would have probably had dark bags framing them crescently.

"Oh, it's you."

"Yeah, me."

He really sounded disinterested. And even really out of it. This guy, was it Charles? It sounded like it. But, he's kinda creepy and all of that. It made him wonder what had happened to him since their last meeting. Though even then, he just didn't seem at all interested either.

"So, what have you been up to, man?"

The android, as if not hearing Joshua's question, simply continued. "Joshua, wasn't it?" He asked the boy, tilting his head slightly, just enough for a strand of hair to fall across his face. Charles stared straight into the boy's eyes like that. What could he have been thinking at that moment, one could wonder. An eternity of silence condensed into a single moment in time... It was unbearable, but alas, Charles spoke up again, uttering an unexpected truth.

"A person dear to me died."
