Appearance:

Morisato is a mix between Japanese and European, with more aspects of the last. His Asian side is very noticeable by the shape of his eyes, which contrasts with its light blue color. His hair is light brown and very straight. Morisato has fair skin, a face with angular features and a serious expression that makes most people take him for calm person, which he is not.

He is slightly taller than the average Japanese, measuring about 5’9” (179 cm), and a slight muscular build weighting 166 lbs (75,6 kg). Usually he wears the school uniform whenever he is in class. Out of school, his basic attire consists of dress shirts in cool colors, black trousers and dark brown shoes. If it’s cold, he also wears a black topcoat or a brown coat.

It’s also very likely for Morisato to be wearing his navy blue cotton kendogi, consisting of an uwagi (top kimono), obi (belt) and hakama (trousers). He also wears a black ankle protector on his left foot due to a tendon injury he suffered few years ago. Whenever he is in battle, he also wears his kendogi, with an addition of a white tabi (Japanese socks) and a pair of waraji (straw sandals, tied to the ankle).

Personality:
Morisato is a bitter teenager, having had to deal with a fair amount of frustration and disappointments in life, ranging from his own family to his own view of the world itself, even though he still pushes himself to cling into hope, which is his everyday battle. He can be described as a boy who still wants to believe in people and in the world but finds it really hard. Therefore he is a little cloistered, having few friends. Despite that, he is a caring boy who can’t refuse to give a hand to someone in need, truly caring about others, to the point of neglecting himself to some extent. He does that without expecting anything in returns, but because it’s his nature, which he wishes, quite a lot of times, he could ignore.

When someone can break his shell and conquer his true friendship, that person finds an extremely loyal friend that will help whenever he is needed. He may not express his feeling in a verbal way, but he believes that actions are much more valuable than words. Either way, Moristato is scared of relationships, be it a friendly or intimate relationship, out of fear of being abandoned or rejected in anyway, which makes him, sometimes, without realizing, boycott some aspect of a growing relationship.

Even though he tries to cloister his feelings, Morisato is a very emotional man, but not in a very good way. He is easy to anger, hot-headed and ill-tempered. It’s easy to provoke him and he has to try very hard not to lose it. Despite not being the type to physically aggress people, he tends to became infuriated and frustrated, destroying his mood. Therefore, he has a difficult sense of humor and is usually sarcastic or ironic when irritated, but he is still capable of a little humorous side, usually being the one to laugh of the jokes than the one to tell them.

Because of his personality, Morisato began training Kendo at a very young age, and he owns quite a lot of the little self-control he has to this beloved martial art, which, for him, is more than only a martial art, but is a way of life. Being very dedicated, he learned to channel his rage into his fighting ability, being able to see things clearly even when he is into a burst of rage, as it is a natural state to him. Morisato uses his rage to fuel his will power and be able to fight in a quick, confident e explosive style, that aims for anticipating the opponents moves and strike first, or counterattack incoming strikes. His mind is very sharp and combat oriented, and his apparent rage makes his enemies think that they can use it against him, which is a terrible mistake. For having being fighting for most of his life, with lots of different people, his can easily adapt to his enemies fighting style, and learn to counter it. Other than that, he is not very talkative when fighting, but will scream a lot.

Due to the heavy training, Morisato has quite a lot of will power and he is not likely to give up on something that he wants, especially when it is directly related to kendo.

—Strength Name: Kendo
—Description: Having being practicing Kendo since the age of 4, Morisato is an accomplished swordsman, being able to achieve the nationals when he still lived in japan. He is so proficient that he got the rank of 1st dan by the age of 14, 2nd dan by the age of 15, and 3rd dan just recently. Kendo is a modern Japanese martial art, which descended from swordsmanship (kenjutsu) and uses bamboo swords (shinai) and protective armour (bōgu), being a a physically and mentally challenging activity that combines martial arts practices and values with sport-like strenuous physical activity.

—Strength Name: Iaido
—Description: Morisato started practicing Iaido later, when he was 14, but thanks to kendo, he had a strong technic with swords, which helped quite a lot. He is very skilled in Iaido, especially in the Muso Shinden style. Being 2nd dan since last year, Morisato already uses a sharp real sword to practice. Iaido is associated with the smooth, controlled movements of drawing the sword from its scabbard or saya, striking or cutting an opponent, removing blood from the blade, and then replacing the sword in the scabbard. While new practitioners of iaido may start learning with a wooden sword (bokken) depending on the teaching style of a particular instructor, most of the practitioners use the blunt edged sword, called iaitō. Few, more experienced, iaido practitioners use a sharp edged sword (shinken).

—Strength Name: Anticipation
—Description: Morisato is very well trained in debana waza, which is based on anticipating the opponents movement, and striking before they can even complete the initial movement, being one of the most deadly waza (technic) of Kendo.

—Strength Name: Counter specialist
—Description: Morisato is greatly skilled in using counter attacks, due to his ability to anticipate the opponents movements. Therefore, his fighting styles is mainly focused on strikes and counterattacks instead of defenses.

—Strength Name: Adaptability
—Description: Being an experienced fighter, Morisato has the ability to learn and adapt his fighting style to his opponents, in order to achieve an advantageous position in the fight. With only a few blows he is able to learn striking patterns, movements and mentality behind the fighting style of the enemy.

—Weakness Name: Street fighting
—Description: Morisato has no offensive ability without a sword of a wooden stick, therefore he is quite useless when unarmed.

—Weakness Name: Hot headed
—Description: Morisato is easy to anger and will lose his temper if provoked, which lowers his regular judgment and ability to think through most situations.

—Weakness Name: Left ankle injury
—Description: When he was younger, Morisato injured his left ankle tendon, and even though he treated it, it’s not and never will be fully healed. Whenever the right side of his left ankle is pressed it hurts a lot. Also, during cold weather, he feels pain. Other than that, if he fails to use his ankle protector, it interferes with his fighting performance.

—Weakness Name: Duelist
—Description: Even though Morisato is a skilled fighter, he is focused on one on one combat. Therefore, if facing more then one opponent, he cannot fully use his special abilities, such as adaptability anda anticipation, as it requires focus on the adversary.

—Weakness Name: Weed smoker
—Description: Morisato smokes weed and has to deal with the physical, social and legal implications of that.

The Background

History:
Killian Shigure Lawliet-Morisato is the firstborn son of Morisato Akira and Ariel Lawliet-Morisato, born in Kanagawa, Japan. His father was the commissioner of the Kanagawa Police Force, and a very strict man, while his mother as a british former model, that moved to Japan for work and fell in love with the quiet and serious policeman. He has a younger brother and a younger sister, being 2 and 5 years younger respectively. His brother’s name is Oliver Soejirou, and his sister’s name is Emma Kirino.

From a very young age, Morisato started practicing Kendo with his father, who holds the rank of 8th dan Hanshi, the highest attainable rank in Kendo now days, which was only a part of his extremely strict and military up bring. Even though Ariel was a loving mother, for most of his childhood, even during her pregnancy, Ariel was travelling for work as a model, leaving Shigure and his brothers alone with his father.

His father would not accept anything but perfection in every aspect of life, and would never appraise his children when they achieve something, referring to it only as their job to succeed, which made young Morisato became repeatedly frustrated with the lack of recognition, making he develop a fear of failure that would haunt him for years to come, even though he was a very skilled and clever boy, always figuring on the top 20 of his class in studies, and winning all local tournaments, qualifying every year to the national tournament, which he even got to the quarter finals on his last year in Japan, by the age of 16.

When he was 14 years old, his mother died in a plane accident, coming back to Japan, and he lost the only sparkle of affection he ever had from his parents, which lead him to burst into anger and curse the world. Since that day, he became dominated by rage and anger, being the most intense feeling he had.

To deal with it, he started to isolate himself from people and that was the time in which he started training Iaido, that was something serene that he could do by himself.

When he finished his second year of high school, his psychologist recommended that he should be sent abroad to improve his social skills. With that in mind, and without asking for his opinion, his father sent him to the West, to study at Zela Academy, which he didn’t take very well, but accepted anyway.

After the events of the death and disappearing of people around the region, his view of the world got worse, and he had to fight very hard to not give up on hope entirely, which he accomplished due to his Kendo way of life. His hope improved a little with the acquirer of his Persona, as a way to maybe contribute to save the world.

Just remember that to make the kendo club you'll have to start an unofficial one or talk to Student Government.

Apart from that, I need you to change one of your non combat weaknesses to match the four combat strengths you have. The weed smoker weakness can count since you can get tired easier and smoke does harm to your lungs. Just change one or change a strength to something non combt and you'll be all set!

I changed the introverted weekness to duelist, which cuts off most of his skills when fighting multiple opponents at once!
