NWC onthe Prowl [Michael]

"LeTs Go AlReAdY!" Was the repeated scream of the Persona that Michael called his own. An annoying creature that was constantly hungry for battle and wouldn't stop in finding someone to strike. The rifts at the academy had been calling out to Michael for some time now, and it was time to finally try one out. He waited until the end of the day, where most people had already went home. Taking this chance to step past the rift into the world beyond.

It was an interesting and different world, to be sure. The feeling of Death and Decay lost in time. His shades were helping protect from the occasional gust of sand that came his way, but he silently damned the fact he had not brought a different outfit. He undid the suit enough to help compensate for the environment, before slowly walking towards where some of the barren weapons from old lay. As he idly poked one, he spoke to Makhai, "So just how am I supposed to protect myself, assuming you're tied up or unable to?" "GoDs YoU rEaLlY aRe A vIrGiN tO tHiS. hOlD oUt YoUr HaNd aNd JuSt FoCuS oN yOuR sElF a BiT aNd yOuR uRgE tO fIgHt AnD yOu ShOuLd GeT sOmEtHiNg." While Michael despised how his counterpart acted to him... He had to trust it. Holding out his hand and focusing a moment before he could feel something solid form in it. A long scythe.. A unique Scythe, infact. The blades resembling his Piano's Keys, as well as feeling Light in his hand. He nodded, turning to the world once more and starting on his path towards the unknown. Listening to Makhai's explenation of things along the way. He had no idea what to expect, just that he would take it head on.

It was a forboding feeling, walking around in this place. He knew bits and pieces of what he could do, and what he was expected to do. But his gut told him that part of it involved these Rifts. Especially since the first time he started seeing these rifts was when... That... Guy? Gave him the potential. Makhai had been... Unique in explaining the situation to him. The greek demon was only as helpful as he felt he had to be. Less so in helping Michael Navigate the wasteland they were traversing in. The bones of the long dead didn't help him feel comfortable either, as he used his scythe as a makeshift walking stick. He could make out areas of heavy sand in the distance. Things he would want to avoid. His glasses worked fairly well at keeping sand out of his eyes but in those areas? More than likely he'd not only have issues seeing, but breathing and moving as well. A soft sigh through his nostrils as he turned a bend, glaring out as he could feel something coming. He wasn't sure what, but he prepared his weapon for anything. Things were about to get interesting...

Michael cracked his neck as he eyed both enemies. Lifting his scythe up as he channeled for a momment, popping his unique ability. He felt more agile now, grinning from ear to ear as he would rush towards the Shadows. He wouldn't have time to strike first, but he sure as hell would damage them a lot on his next turn.

When Michael began to ran, he would not notice that the Shadows behind him would continue to chase him. Since Michael did not make much distance nor did he try to impede their progress, they were perfectly able to chase him down and attack once more. It was rather presumptuous to assume the Shadows would just stop chasing him if he tried to run. If he had ran far enough he would be fine, but he remained in the arms of danger once more. Not even the Wild Card of the Crawling Chaos was particularly safe from these fledglings that were now akin to animals, and only wanted a decent morsel.

Since nothing else was left, the Shadows would simply crawl over to Michael and begin to consume him, taking him deeper into the endless desert. It seemed that he had simply given up, or perhaps he was ill-prepared when walking into the world that he did not know. And perhaps for the rest of time, the remnants of his mind would have to ponder the choices he made, as the desert began to grow more fierce, and forces unknown watched.
