Attack on hunger [Safi]

It was late afternoon when Cassius decided that it wouldn't hurt to have some dinner. He wore his usual pants and shirt with red tie... But he wasn't quite sure where exactly was he going. The young man wasn't sure if he was even allowed to go out at this hour, but his growling tummy said it didn't matter. /"Yeah, yeah... Mom wouldn't be exactly happy if she knew about my current lifestyle."/ He thought with a sigh as he exited the dorm. But really... Where to now? He wasn't in the mood for cooking, so the grocery store was out of the question. That's when he remembered hearing about this district, where you can can food and drinks for a fair price. It was worth investigating, at the very least.

The island where the district was located at has surely seen better days. Cassius didn't mind, though. As he walked in, the sun was setting, creating interesting shadows on the ground. Looking around, he understood why people were talking about this place. It hummed with life and there were food stalls or all kinds. Wait. Food stalls! Cassius' tummy jumped for joy as he went over to them to see what they were offering and for how much.

Cassius himself would never admit how impatient he was when choosing a meal. He took a look at first few stalls and quickly decided to get some noodles. As he grabbed the plastic cup and fork, he felt how hot it is. His face stayed calm, but tiny tears in his eyes said otherwise. /"Hot hot hot hot hot hot!"/ He thought as he shifted the cup in his hands in order to ease the pain.

Hm, Standasen was a strange place to hang out at, at any time of the day. Sharaku had decided so a while ago already. Yet, it had its advantages. Like right now for example. Catching a break from all that supernatural business for a while was easier when you knew no one of the people involved were likely to be at the place you're going to. And he was pretty sure neither of his comrades frequented here. Unless he was extremely unlucky, and someone decided to make a trip at the same time as him. Which he wouldn't write off as impossible, rather just unlikely. Either way, point was to take a little breather before getting back to musing about this whole 'save people' thing. This was in no way equal to vacation time, but it was something at the very least...right? Better take advantage before all the big stuff went down.

...Even though he had practically nothing to do here. He wasn't the type to gobble on food, nor spend outrageous time shopping. Maybe a walk would be efficient enough. Wasn't that all he seemed to do lately...? Oh well. Still, he at least forced himself to get something if he was already wasting around. A can of iced tea wasn't going to help him any, but at least he wasn't walking around empty handed, if nothing else. Though it better be, as he had to endure the female at the counter where he bought that gawking at him. He wasn't sure whether he was enjoying people giving him te occassional looks yet, but hey, he was free to wear what he wanted. Besides, he would eventually go back to his good ol' suit. Once he got over its stupid combination rating with his long hair. How irritating. And he wasn't even that hung up on fashion. 'Now....' Okay, drink nonwithstanding, he still had nothing actual to do. Damn. Maybe he should really think ahead once in a while when he went somewhere. Giving random looks towards people milling about was not helping either.

Maybe he should just...Ah. Well, he saw something that made him stop thinking empty thoughts for a moment. He didn't know that many white haired people afterall. And even fewer of them were male. It took him a moment to categorize the person, and link a name with it, as it has been plenty of time since he saw the white haired young man. Funnily enough, the sour idea of their 'getting hopelessly lost' trip wasn't a planned picture in his mind. Nevertheless, he didn't feel too upset about his mind reminding him of such. For a moment, he stared at Cassius....momentarily wondering just why was the young man handling his food like that. Until it hit him that it was probably hot. 'Right...should have been obvious.' Never mind that. It seemed like he had something to do now. He never said he didn't want to meet someone familiar here. Just not someone who'd antagonize him about the whole supernatural issue. This worked out just fine. Which is why he'd take the liberty of approaching the white haired male casually, his white coat fluttering behind him slightly. ''Hello. Long time no see. I assume you're better at finding your way around already?'', he would address Cassius, only giving a half nod as a greeting. It was harder to go all out polite without the appropriate attire, and he was starting to give up on trying to. For now. He still kept his manners of course. That said, he would wait for a response, simply standing nearby. After all, the other seemed to be busy with cooling down his food. He still hadn't even opened that can of drink in his hand though....

Cassius managed to shift his hands to an acceptable position, when he heard a familiar voice, which he hadn't heard in a while. He turned in the direction he heard it coming from, in order to face its source. Sharaku. It was him, alright. Even though he was sporting quite the different outfit with a drink in his hand. Sharaku inquired about Cassius' ability to find his way. That's pretty much how and why they met. Cassius came to Azores as an exchange student for a year, but had no idea how to get to the Dorm. It took several hours, but eventually Cassius was safely delivered. This little memory made Cass smile internally.

He nodded to Sharaku as he approached him, in order to make space for other people wanting to check out the stall. "Hello there, Sharaku. Didn't think I'd bump into you. And yes, I am. At least I like to think I do." Cass was still far from being able to navigate the Islands like somebody who was born here, but he was getting better at it bit by bit. He then would 'stir' the noodles, releasing delicious smell, which made Cass' tummy growl once again. Cassius would clear his throat and continue: "What brought you here, Sharaku?"

Well, for starters Sharaku did not expect to bump into anyone familiar either. Not that it really mattered, as long as it wasn't any of the people he would rather avoid tonight. Cassius was fine though. A normal conversation was okay at the moment. ''Wasn't planning on bumping into people either. Then again, lots of things happen without being planned.'' Way too many things, to be honest. None of the weird stuff that happened so far was something he would have gone for if he could avoid it. Maybe little things like this here weren't so bad, in comparison to what was going on in general nowadays.

He watched Cassius as he stirred the noodles around a little indifferently. He was never too excited about food after all. When he was asked why was he here, he would think a bit on that. That was...a good question. Why was he really here? Sure, he wanted a little break allright...but, was that even a reason? He had not come here to do anything specific. ''Nothing exact. I just wanted to go somewhere.'', he would answer eventually, rather nonchalantly. He obviously couldn't come up with anything better than that. But, it wasn't like he could go explain the things about why was he hanging around somewhere to not meet certain people. He didn't want to sound even weirder than he was, unless it was at least in a funny way. ''I believe I don't have to ask you the same, right?'', he would comment lightly, taking a short glance at the other's food. ''That in mind, feel free to eat, you don't have to mind me.'', he would add after a moment, with a small smile. Sure, he walked over to talk, but it wasn't like he was there to interrupt, and Cassius seemed like he was hungry. That, and he didn't mind being idle for a while. He did that a lot anyway.

Lots of things happening without being planned... Cassius couldn't say that for himself. He was just a regural exchange student, who piqued some interest in few individiuals. But besides that, it was pretty much the same school routine he had back home. It felt somewhat different, though. Sharaku then answered the young man's previous question. According to Sharaku, he was just simply being outside, with no specific intention. Cassius enjoyed to do that sometimes aswell, but more often than not, he didn't have the time for it. When Sharaku said that he most likely didn't have to ask Cass the same, he would chuckle. Indeed, it was quite obvious. After Sharaku let Cass eat, he then would attempt to scoop some noodles with the fork. It wasn't a major success, but it was a success nonetheless. He then put the noodles into his mouth, savoring the taste. They were quite delicious, totally worth the little money he paid for them.

After swallowing the bit of noodles, Cass would point to a nearby set of stairs, that looked fairly clean. "Perhaps we could sit down over there and chat for a bit? If that's alright with you, of course." The young man would ask. Cassius wasn't in a hurry, and talking with somebody was a nice change of pace.

Having pretty much nothing to really do while the younger man was eating, Sharaku busied himself by simply staring ahead, not really at anything specific per se. Food didn't concern him at the very moment, so what was he to do? Waiting by itself was not bad, and he wasn't bothered by having to do so, though it may seem to be a little strange to do so without doing anything at all, just standing there almost like a statue. How that was not boring, one would never know.

Still, somewhat zoning out was probably not the best idea. That is, if it was even an idea at all which was arguable at the moment. That said, he almost managed to miss Cassius's inquiry. And he probably would have blanked right through it, had he not been reminded of reality by, surprisingly the drink he had with him. Word of advice from now on. It is apparently not a good idea to grip onto a can full of some liquid hard, or it may just not hold out and pop without needing to be opened manually. Thankfully enough, he wasn't strong enough to outright flatten it, or it wouldn't end very nicely. '.....' Muttering a few word in a foreign language, while giving the can a look, he would soon turn his gaze towards Cassius, answering his question in a smooth tone. Let's just imagine nothing happened. ''Very well, I don't mind. I don't have anything else to do right now.'', he would offer a thin smile as he moved in the direction the younger was pointing to.
