Appearance:
Thane is towering over 2m/6.5ft with ash-grey skin. Several parts of his body that include his back, feet, arms, throat and jawline are covered in flexible scales. Along the sides of his head there is a pair of horns protruding, as well as two pairs of a lot smaller straight horns protruding from the back of his head. His head is covered in black and white, short and messy hair, swept to his right side, covering his eye. His eyes have an unnatural white limbal ring, that give off the faintest light in the dark. Besides his horns and scales Thane also has a tail that is roughly 25cm/9.8in long. It has no combat capabilities.
More often than not he can be seen wearing his trusty set of armour that he has claimed from his other self along with some other armour pieces. But his closet does extends to cheap jeans and t-shirts on occasions when he feels especially casual or not in the mood to haul armour around with him.
Personality:
Thane’s personality is not fully opposite that of his other self. As long as it benefits him, he isn’t that opposed to the idea of helping others. For a price, of course. He will put himself first, unless the person in question managed to get close enough to him, that he is willing to aid them in need. He can be a bit aloof and mischievous, but all’s in good humour. Usually.
Being born from suppressed feelings and emotions of his other self, he isn’t quite just an embodiment of hatred. He bears the burdens of actions of his other self and their consequences. He is filled with hatred towards people who always expected him to do the right thing and make sacrifices when they wouldn’t. He is filled with guilt of deeds his other self had to endure. The guilt of losing those close to him, never able to truly move on.
Now that he is the one in control and the only one left, he sort of feels responsibility for his actions, whatever they may be. This feeling extends to him wanting to carry on his other self’s legacy, out of respect towards him. He wouldn’t be here without him. It’s the least he can do.
The Potential
Strengths:
—Strength Name: Tailor —Description: Probably one of more surprising facts about Thane. Although he is no fashion icon or has any interest in fashion at all, he inherited this skill and fondness for it from his other self. Thane can sometimes be seen with a needle, thread and a piece of fabric in his hands, working away. If one could get him some leather, it would be even better.
—Strength Name: Survivalist —Description: Being left on his own sort of early on in his youth, Thane has learned how to make do in the wild. There are some things that he has to relearn, as some things change when you get stuck in a vastly different place than where you lived up to that point. One of inherited traits from the other self Thane.
—Strength Name: Dancer —Description: Along with Thane liking his tailoring hobby, he also, surprisingly, absolutely adores dancing. It has become an activity that he gives into when he just wants to keep himself in the moment and to forget the world around him, if only for a minute. He is able to dance in his full armour, aswell.

—Racial Strength Name: Strength of the Champions —Description: The traditions and culture of the clan Thane’s other self came from naturally dictate that one has to be both strong willed and strong physically. (+10% damage dealt by Physical attacks)
Weaknesses:
—Weakness Name: Brooding —Description: The weight of the guilt wears heavily on Thane’s shoulders, making him go into a state of deep, dark thoughts that one should just abandon, but he can’t bring himself to do it.
—Weakness Name: Height —Description: Being almost as tall as a male Au Ra can be, Thane has naturally problems with his height. He has the ability to hit almost any doorframe, hanging light, you name it, with his head.
—Weakness Name: No sweets allowed —Description: Thane isn’t sure whether it is a trait from his other self, but he really, really isn’t fond of sweets or sweet foods in general. One of gifts that would make him sad.
—Weakness Name: Reckless —Description: A trait that doesn’t surface too often, but Thane’s ideas may get out of hand at times. They usually start with him charging in and then end with improvising.

—Racial Weakness Name: Ice sickness —Description: Although the place of Thane’s origin is in the steppes in the north, there is hardly any ice found. Only arid planes and rocks that make one wonder how the Xaela thrive in such a place. Thane’s body now naturally responds to ice exposure in a negative way. (+10% damage taken from Ice attacks)
Soul Bound Weapon:
Weapon Name: Caladbolg Weapon Description: A really heavy (3.5kg/7.7lb) dark black greatsword to be held in both hands. The single-edge blade with slightly decorated hilt is roughly 2m/6.5ft long. Almost matches Thane’s height. He makes wielding that thing look easy. Weapon Image:

Side-Arm Name: Magnai Side-Arm Description: A classic, long-barreled (19cm/7.5in) single action revolver with wooden stock. Full length of the revolver is 31.8cm or 12.5in. Weighs roughly 1kg or 2.2lb. Has a basic magazine of 6 bullets. Makes you feel like a cowboy. Side-Arm Image: N/A Side-Arm Attack Type: Gun Side-Arm Style: Revolver - Single Shot - Accuracy is increased by 20%. Consumes only one type of ammo per use. Can shoot only one enemy at a time.
The Background
History:
Back in their old world, Thane’s other self was exiled from his Xaela clan in his youth. Having nowhere to go, he wandered and travelled the lands, until he got tangled into a life of an adventurer. During his perilous journey the rightful warrior sprouted some negative feelings that he kept suppressed and well-hidden. That was until he decided to undertake the road as a Dark Knight. He became very well aware of these feelings and had no choice but to accept them as a part of himself, even though they weren’t noble feelings of a warrior who fought for the good of the realm.
Before the journey could be completed, however, the city of Junction swooped by, tearing a bit of the world of Hydaelyn and took it with it. The violent reaction killed Thane himself, while tearing his darker side out, that mixed with residual rage left behind by the great wyrm, Nidhogg, slain by Thane. At first he felt great, happy even. But as the reality sunk in, the darker side realised that he was alone, by himself. There was nobody for him, no light to balance his darkness. At that point he didn’t care where he ended up. He made up his mind. He would take the name of his other self upon himself and try to be at least as half of a warrior as he was.
