Recess :: Morning [Zane]

Ah yes, it was time for a typical day at school again. As much as Zane honestly wished he could be done with it already. Why was graduation still so far away? Don’t get him wrong, he didn’t hate learning, nor was he a horrible student, but he did find a lot of the things they were being taught simply redundant. In most cases, real life experience prepared one a lot better than sitting in classes and pretending you aren’t dozing off during a long and monotone lecture. Some classes were more useful, yes, but there were plenty other ways to attain such knowledge anyway. Like signing up for a course out of your own volition or something.

Ah well. Taking a quick look at his wristwatch to confirm how much time he had before the next class, the dual haired young man would consider his options before getting up and slinging his school bag over his shoulder. He had kind of forgotten to swallow some breakfast today, sadly, so might as well make a quick trip to the Cafeteria to nab some nutrition. Maybe that would make the classes less boring. Nothing is better than a content stomach after all.

Once he got there, he would he would review his options momentarily, choosing to grab a piece of apple pie eventually. Not the best breakfast substitute ever, but it would have to do today. Looking around the available seats, happening to spot a somewhat familiar head of long black hair. He felt like he had seen the girl before, but he couldn’t be sure with so many students loitering around the school. Maybe they had some class together before. Nevertheless, he did need a place to sit at, and there seemed to be free space, so he would walk over to where she was. “Yo, is this table free?”
