| Finally! Lorielle was able to sneak from her house one night, and past the bouncers and get to the nightclub. It was bad enough she had gotten caught the first time by her parents trying to sneak in, but her parents were out, and it completely diminishes the point of sneaking out. That thought did made Lorielle less excited, but nonetheless, the music made up for what she had. Lovely lights, and dance-worthy music playing out on the floor, where many others were dancing. Sure the music wasn't all that great, but this was her first night out at a club, and she intended to enjoy herself. There were plenty of spaces where people were either in cliques, dancing with groups, or even dancing by themselves, which could work, and certainly requires a lot of courage.
She bounded onto the floor, trying to take in the music and move to it, and despite her efforts to jump into it all, the music was not doing it for her. Or that she was not a great dancer.....or that she kept bumping into others. 'Dammit all, why am I so bad? At a club no less?' she said looking around as she continued to try and keep her moves. People were hitting on others, although she couldn't fathom how in music as loud as this. She recalled there was a second lounge floor above. Maybe she will take a trip up there later. The night was still young and the fun was about to begin for her. She continued to use this as her justification to keep dancing as poorly as she has been, despite her having a nimble enough body. Apparently it doesn't easily translate into dance moves as well as she would have thought.
As she danced she recalled the reason why she came here, besides it being a fun night to do so. Today was apparently "Night of the DJ", where people from the crowd could come up and try out for one song to give it a whirl, and the winner gets a certain prize. It sounded like fun, and could possibly get better music in the long run. Did she want to do it? 'Hm......Maybe I will, if I ever get the inspiration' she thought. Although as the music picked up, she was understanding more and more why she didn't really prefer it. It wasn't her particularly favorite genre. It was playing hip hop at the moment. No, she enjoyed Electronica and Dance music. And sadly that wasn't being played right now. She could only hope that soon the DJs will take up the helm and try something new. But until then, she would continue to dance, still very poorly.

| 'Why am I even here?'
The impatient 3rd asked himself as the club music boomed with thunderous bass and explicit lyrics. He sat at the main bar with three other 3rd years from Kizuna. He looked over at the males and couldn't help but notice the big goofy smiles etched across their faces; it was obvious they were enjoying themselves. He shook his head as they spoke to every female that gave them any interest. It was obvious these three don't speak to females much just by the way they were acting. The women infesting this club were undeniable older than the average girl. So one just can't approach them with innocent bliss and hope for the best. It's all about your composure, your smile, your aura, and your confidence. Which are a few things these academy students lack sadly. The females speaking to the three this time around were pretty cute to Cole standards; and Cole has extremely high standards when it comes to women. They seemed to enjoy the conversation at hand, well, until one of the academy students began talking about school. 'Oh you're in collage, too? Which one do you go to?' The brunette in the middle asked. Cole looked at the three academy students with a look of distraught; he knew where this was going. 'College? HAHA no! We go to Kizuna, we're 3rd years!' One said boasting; as if these females would be impressed by that. Cole eyed the barkeeper and signaled for a something hard. The females looked at each other with disbelief and chuckled awkwardly. 'Sorry, but you guys are a little to young for us. You're really cute though... Sorry' With that being said, they departed from the table; undoubtedly gawking and making fun of them. They probably could've gotten some action if they played their cards right. 'Oh come on!' One of the males said. 'Not again...' Another said. 'Fuck!!!' The last said slamming his fist upon the bar. Cole downed his drink and shook his head frantically from side to side; the burning substance hitting the pit of his stomach like a rock.
'You three done fucked up once again. You never tell the bitches here your actual age. I mean how hard is it to tell their older than us? You had em' too, damn shame, really is.'
Cole signaled for another drink as the three academy students drowned in their own sorrow. 'Why didn't you tell us that before, Cole?!' They all nodded in unison. 'Yeah, dude. Help us out, man!' They nodded once again; awaiting the wisdom from Cole. He merely looked at the three desperate kids before him. How in the fuck did he let these chumps convince him to come here tonight? He sighed, downed the drink once again, and began speaking shortly afterwards.
'Sorry, I can't help you. Y'all can't even talk to girls our age. What makes you think you can handle an older chick? Lets face it, you three are losers. Your best bet? Never talk about your personal life and talk only about the chick you're trying to bone or have read you your bed time story or whatever.'
They nodded and leaped from the bar with much enthusiasm. Where they already on the hunt again? They certainly had the right mindset for picking up chicks when it came to the club. But could they succeed? He shrugged,
'Probably not but it's gonna be funny as shit watchin' em fail!'
He cackled to himself as he signaled for yet another drink. If he was gonna be here tonight, he was gonna enjoy it by getting tipsy as hell. You only live once, right?

| And then she tripped. Luckily, she was able to avoid hitting the ground with her face, and instead landed on her arm. Before she got up, some other guys seems to walk past her, one of them stumbling over her, his foot perfectly landing in her chest, onto one of the pair, which made her cough and groan a bit, obviously unheard by the loud music. "Hey! Watch it lady!" the boy shouted before leaving on. Him talking certainly didn't make it any better. How rude was he? She shook her head and stood up, adjusting her jacket to see that it wasn't damaged. 'That really hurt....' she thought rubbing where he kicked. Was his shoe a damn cinder-block? It sure felt like one. 'I suddenly don't want to dance anymore...' she thought, and began maneuvering around the crowd to get off the dance floor. She walked off to the main bar and sat onto a nearby seat and put her hands on the table resting her chin onto them. This whole club thing wasn't going as well as she had hoped. The bartender seemed to look at her expectantly, until she stayed silent enough for him to actually ask. "Ma'am, you need a drink?" he asked. Like an anteater next to large hungry mutant ant, she backed out of that situation shaking her head. "No thank you," she responded. He turned away and went off to assist whatever other person needed a drink. Alcohol was gross. Not a single sip of wine, or beer, vodka, or anything her parents may have let her try, convinced herself that drinking was either delicious, nor worth it. As she sat there, her ears pulled her to turn to the dance floor once more. The music changed. One of the DJs came up triumphantly to the stage, raised his hands, and the people clapped and cheered in anticipation of his music. And then the dance began. - Dj Music:
Oh yes, this was the music she looked for. The electric keyboards that made the nights come to life. Her heart started to beat a bit faster, and she couldn't help but let a smile crawl onto her face. The song wasn't bad at all, had sort of a classic feel to it for that type of music. She didn't get back on the dance floor disappointingly enough, but she did watch as the music and lights played on the scene. If her chest wasn't now a crater she might have jumped in, but she was just as content watching.

| As she was enjoying the music, the unmistakable sliding of a glass caught her attention somehow. She turned and saw it glide across the table past her to another savory-looking fellow. His skin was dark brown, he was certainly taller than him, but then, many guys tended to be taller than her. He looked intimidating, but she had her knife..in....'Oh shit, I forgot it' she thought in a bit of distress checking the inside of her jacket. Who in the love of all that is holy, forgets the one bit of protection she has in an area she has seen before, AND knows it can be dangerous?! 'Apparently me, the dumb twit' she thought. Well here's hoping things don't go poorly. She looked back at the man and watched in almost awe as he grabbed the drink and downed it all. She knew alcoholics, but not those who would slam a random nightclub drink. She even jumped a bit when he slammed the glass onto the table. "Careful! You might break the glass!" she tried to say over the music having to inch herself over a bit to him so he would hopefully hear. It was a joke mostly, as she smiled trying to give that off to him.
Her mind began to wander, until he had told the bartender to give her whatever, and essentially made the bartender settle on soda for myself. She knew it probably wasn't the most polite thing to do but she jumped on it and looked at the bartender. "Just root beer is fine," she said. The bartender gave her an odd look, which seemed to be disbelief. She made a childish smile just to add to what he was probably thinking. She turned back to the man and nodded smiling. "Thanks, 'ppreciate it," she said. She watched as the song eventually ended and soon the next DJ jumped on stage. He looked younger, certainly her age, or at least in high school. Nonetheless, her opinion of him worsened when he went straight back to some bastardized version of dance and hip hop. 'Poor guy, never had a chance' she thought sighing.

| She laughed a bit at his ability to not care. This guy was certainly something. She might have ran from him out in the streets, but here? Hell, he barely seemed like he cared being here. Soon as her drink arrived she took it in one of her hands, finding the glass a bit small by her standards. Probably a glass for alcohol, before it was lowered to soda. And when she drank it it certainly must have been. It apparently wasn't cleaned well enough, cause the smell of some sort of syrup-y alcohol was plaguing this otherwise good drink. Nonetheless she took a huge gulp, the carbonation not even bothering her and set the glass on the table. She appreciated the man's kindness. But she wasn't blind to the world, she knew how easily warped the male mind can sometimes be. Just an error of the world that may or not be fixed as time goes by. But hey, everyone has needs.
She looked back at him suddenly remembering him call her a "girl". "That isn't fair by the way. You don't know how old I am to be able to call me a girl," she bluffed immensely. "I am Lorielle. I am totally an adult!" she almost shouted, turning into a laugh. The club's "atmosphere" was getting to her, color rising to her face a bit, and she was starting to have a better time than she thought. The next DJ had stepped up to the plate and started playing more music. "You should go up there! Play some music you like, it'd be fun!" she said smiling.

| She laughed a bit when he made his claim. "I "seem" to be female? Look!" she said laughing still. She pushed up her chest out in front of him, hoping he would get the message. "Right here! I hope I was a girl or I would look very silly," she said adjusting and returning to her normal sitting. Of course, she knew it was silly regardless. And she will never regret doing that. Flirting is a dangerous game, and at the same time, one of the most entertaining. She frowned at the man scooting a bit closer to him. "Why not? It'd be fun, don't be a spoil sport, hell I could do it!" she blurted without any inch of thinking. She mumbled random gibberish hoping to change the subject before looking back at him rubbing her head. It was then she learned of his name. Barbados. Too easy to make a joke of, and yet, she didn't want to. "Barbados. Yup, that is a man's name alright," she said. "So what do you do Barbados? You graduate school I imagine?" she said. Her mind shifted to the curiosity train. If anything, he was the only guy not kicking her in the chest or looking as though she was a child.....although she totally was given the setting. The music was shifting, and maybe that soda was laced with alcohol, but the color was rising even more into her face, and she was starting to bob her head in rhythm to whatever music was playing, not bothering to control herself. | |

| "Well at least you know what you want," she said now feeling a bit dizzy. She would tilt her head to each side slowly to hide the fact that she might fall over at any point. She looked up at the dance floor at the music, her face feeling a bit hotter. "Awww, I wanna try now. Here's hoping I don't suck! Wish me luck, I'll show you how to be fun," she announced practically flying off the seat into the crowd of the dance floor. She turned making a large wave to Barbados before turning to walk to a guy by the stage, who turned out to be a supervisor. She frowned and poked his arm causing him to turn. "Can you explain the computer thing? This will be my first time giving it a shot," Lorielle said. She couldn't tell if she herself was hopelessly stupid or just that eager, to try, but the supervisor looked in disbelief, so that might have been a hint. "You sure lady?" he asked. Lorielle gave a quick nod and he looked as the guy was finishing his song, as the crowd was clapping. "Look, just look for sounds you like, a song, and play them certain times, just don't suck," he said. Lorielle winked, nodding at the supervisor before another guy behind the stage bid her to get on. She stumbled up the steps and got behind the mechanical organs that is the DJ booth. Turned out to be only two laptops, with one holding a library of songs, the other holding voice recordings and sound effects. "Ladies and gentleman, the next DJ tonight, her name is...!" the announcer turned expectantly, tapping the table where the laptops were making Lorielle look up. He flapped one of his hands and she grinned. "Lorielle!" she shouted, waving and winking to the crowd, followed by the almost obligatory clapping from the audience. She took a few seconds scrolling through the lyrics that the sound clips provided. And suddenly she found a clip she liked. Repetitive it was, she wanted to see what it sounded like. And so she pressed play on the clip. Doin' it right Everybody will be dancing And we're feeling it right Everybody will be dancing And be doing it right Everybody will be dancing When we're feeling all right Everybody will be dancing tonight Robotic voices, music to her ears. She found, and added a random drum beat appropriately named "Modern Drum Beat" to the mix after repeating the first verse. She sped the drum up a bit to match the beat for a bit, before stopping at a lyrical verse. After reading the lyrics and checking the tempo, she almost giggled at the composer. 'Panda Bear...?' she thought. Nonetheless she played it. If you do it right Let it go all night Shadows on you break Out into the light
If you lose your way tonight That's how you know the magic's right She stayed in her little euphoric state playing what she deemed appropriate at this admittedly repetitive tune, but she herself couldn't get enough of it.

| After the song Lorielle seemed proud of herself. She looked and quickly ran off stage as the talking amongst the people went on. If there was any clapping, she didn't hear it. Bounding past the dance floor, her face was red, a bit sweaty, and she loved it. She had this niggling feeling that everyone seemed to be looking at her, but she knew people were just going to wait for the next DJ to come up and play a song. She sat back in her chair looking at Barbados, who apparently had recently downed a drink. That almost hinted at her performance. "I sucked didn't I?" she said laughing. Despite whatever answer he would give, she enjoyed herself. And this man seemed mysterious enough to remain interesting.
It was at this moment that she was starting to get dizzy slightly. She could probably not hide it anymore. 'Maybe it was more than the performance that got me dizzy...' she would think. She turned to see her drink still half full and reached for it. She hesitated, looking at the drink before taking a sip, and setting it on the table. It didn't sit well with her, and the carbonation seemed to be worse on her than it was a second ago. She yawned a bit as yet another DJ came up to take the helm and play music. She could barely tell what it was, and wasn't paying attention to it. She put her elbow on the table, laying her head on her hand looking at Barbados. "I may not be able to stay much longer," she said, making a small smile, attempting to try and not seem as tired, or woozy as she was, though it was indeed difficult to hide.

| "I dunno, the people seemed to enjoy the little performance. Doesn't really matter what I think when others disagree, ya know?"
Cole reassured the self conscious girl with nice words and a friendly tone. Obviously he wasn't going to tell her he thought the music was pure garbage; why the hell would he crush her spirits like that? So, instead he'd avoid the question with facts that didn't involve him at all. Quite genius actually. The 3rd year watched as the girl reached for her drink; movements somewhat hesitate and the cheery look on her face no more. He watched as she put her elbow on the table and rested her head in her palm. She spoke and smiled; attempting to hide whatever it was that ailed her. Cole was no idiot and the girl had one horrible poker face. The 3rd averted his gaze from the oddly acting female and responded to her words.
"You want me to walk you home? I'm no creeper, it's just the fact it ain't necessarily 2:00PM anymore, get what I'm saying?"

| "Well aren't you the brilliant side-stepper?" she said, clearly catching his message by the comment he made. She would smile, enjoying it all the same. Though, she would drop it when he offered to walk her home. Perhaps she was foolish this way, or perhaps he learned to trust the guy in the few minutes she met of him. The latter was probably less likely than the first. Though, all the same, she would nod. She has had her own fair share of issues with people lately in the evening. "Actually, yes that would help. Makes for good bonding!" she said smiling, before joining him on his walk out. It would actually prove to be uneventful on the long road home, though with him being there, she would have protection at the very least. She would have to meet Mr. Barbados once more sometime.
