Persona Appearance: Sha Wujing is an incredibly intimidating figure, standing at nearly five meters in height. His form is well toned and muscled, and his skin is a sickly green tone. He has a grisly appearance, with a red, bushy beard that extends far beyond his chin, though his head is partially bald. A jade green cloak falls from his shoulders and is wrapped around his waist tightly. A necklace of nine rotting human skulls hangs from his neck. He holds a yueyachan in his right hand, a double-headed staff with a flat shovel on one end and a crescent moon blade at the other. Sha Wujing always carries a massive gourd filled with water on his back. Two massive horns extend from his forehead.

Persona Background: Sha Wujing was originally a general who served the Jade Emperor in Heaven. However, in a fit of rage, he destroyed a valuable vase, which quickly incurred the Jade Emperor's wrath. He was struck hundreds of times with a rod, then exiled to the Earth below, cursed to be reincarnated as a man-eating sand demon. In addition, the Jade Emperor sent seven flying swords from heaven to stab him in the chest every day before flying off. To avoid this, Sha Wujing began hiding in the river from the wrath of the heavens. He ate many passersby, even a group of nine monks on a pilgrimage whose skulls floated to the top of the river every day. This entertained Wujing, who strung them on a rope and played with them when bored. He was later recruited by Gaunyin, Bodhisattva of compassion, to assist in Xuanzang's journey to the west.
