The Tale of Orcelous the One-Armed:
Once upon a time, there was a beautiful land known as Eturia, where the skies were always clear, the land flourished, and all lived in peace.
But one day a terrible demon came to menace the beautiful land of Eturia.
The demon's name was Maltus.
He had come from the underworld, planning to cause nothing but chaos and misery amongst the inhabitants of Eturia.
Maltus was a tall, black, evil fiend with evil yellowed eyes and black wings.
His evil knew no bounds, using dark magic to blot out the sun in the skies, raze the forests, and create suffering amongst the people. It was said that where he went, life withered and died in his prescence.
So it wasn't long until almost all of Eturia had surrendered to him, as any resistance was quickly and brutally disposed of by him.
Truly, it was a dark time for Eturia.
But in the darkness, one man refused to kneel down to Maltus.
His name was Orcelous.
A titan amongst men who, in his youth, had lost an arm and an eye in battle, but even as he wad no longer in his prime, he was still a fearsome warrior, blessed by the gods.
Though he was merely a humble farmer in times of peace, and though he hoped that he wouldn't have to fight anymore, the threat of Maltus drove him to once again wage war on evil.
His axe, Xigshaw, would be his only companion.
Xigshaw was a mighty magic axe that the gosd had given him, you see, and where the axe was swung, lava sprang forth. Even without an arm, Orcelous had no trouble wielding the mighty weapon.
Thus, he sent a letter to Maltus, challenging him to a battle in the black peaks of the Caldabog Mountains, where Maltus had set up his stronghold.
The ensuring clash would be fierce and epic, with Xigshaw's lava clashing against Eturia's wicked black lightning as the two fought. It was said that every time Xigshaw struck, one could faintly see the smoke that came, and when Eturia used his lightning, the thunder it created could be heard from one end of the kingdom to the other.
For three days, and three nights, they fought, neither one stopping to rest, and neither able to land a decisive blow against the other.
It was on the dawn of the fourth day that Orcelous triumphed, throwing Xigshaw at the demon in a decisive gambit, cleaving it in two.
With his last breaths, Maltus swore vengeance on Orcelous, and Orcelous simply saying that Maltus would never ever win against the forces of good.
And so, the people rejoiced at the news of Maltus's death, and a great feast was held in his honor that lasted a week.
Orcelous, for his part, soon went back to farming in peace, never to fight again.
The End.
