After the fateful encounter with Susan only earlier, Lui was feeling a bit tired and decided to sit down on a park bench. The brightness of the sun directly in front of him caused him to cover his eyes and shuffle to the side. As he did so, he felt a patch of his hair pressed under his hand. He had intended to grow his hair out to see if he preferred it, but it ended up just being a nuisance when he wore his fencing mask. But still, if it were possible to become an idol on the side, would updating his looks help with his appeal?

"What do you think, Shiro?"
"I'm not a hairdresser, Lui. But in my time, I didn't cut my hair. Longer hair equated to age or experience, so it improved my image as the lord's guard. You should've seen the length of his beard..."

Anyone could approach the reclining boy as he discussed with his inner self. Said person could probably hear his discussion with his hairstyle. But who could possibly help with that?

This park was definitely a place that Nominé found herself wandering through on a regular basis. It was just so close to where she lived that it was kinda convenient to go there instead of anywhere else when she wanted some quiet time out and about. Wasn't like she could just sit in the hairdressers all day. Gotta have breaks ya now, or else you go potty. And potty in the sense of being insane, not going to the toilet or whatever else that could mean. You catch the drift. However she'd suddenly look up with a stern look on her face. Something had caught her ears, something important...

"... My hair in need of care senses are tingling..."

She'd spin around to face the direction of where she'd heard the faint mumbling of some guy complaining about the length of his hair, lifting her arm to point her pair of scissors she always kept on her directly towards him. "You! Boy! Your calls to the gods almighty have been answered!"

"...Dye? I don't know. I'm pretty comfortable with black. Though I wouldn't mind perhaps a lighter brown..."
"You! Boy! Your calls to the gods almighty have been answered!"
Lui snapped to attention as he realized that a pair of scissors were now aimed at his face. He didn't scramble over the bench or try to book it, but instead gave the suspicious woman an elevated eyebrow glance.
"What the hell?! Do you always approach people and threaten them with a pair of scissors? Is this some kind of aggressive marketing for barbers or something? Wait, call to the gods? All I was doing was considering cutting my hair. I don't know if it looks better like this or whether it would work better at my normal length.

Are you a hairdresser or just some crazed genocider? I'm curious either way..."

Nominé would laugh a mighty cackle at the boys reaction to her appearance, she'd wave the scissors lightly as she kept them pointed towards the boy. "Yes! For seeing is believing! A curiosity of choice, a multitude of answers all pluck for the pickings! Ya see now boy, the gods intended for me to hear! They wanted a guardian angel for the flocks of hair that grow from thy scalp! Thou isst that guardian! I shall be the one to set your choice free! For a low charge I will provide you with any new style you can set your dreams on! For purely I am but the only true heir to the business of hairdressing. You shall never meet anyone who even quite matches the skill these hands possess! Boy I could make you a designer model, a filthy hobo, the next anime superstar or just an average joe! All I request is you let my skills do the talking, you will never regret the decision the gods have given to you!" The woman would bow before looking back up with a sly smirk on her face, she totally nailed that.

"Well, look there. Somebody more over the top than Sumi. Never thought you'd see the day."
"Jeez, no kidding. How am I supposed to deal with this?"
"The same way you deal with other over-the-top people; just go with it. Play along with the comedy."

Lui was certainly taken aback by this person's antics, but two could play her game. He decided to humor the girl and learn more about her supposed skill with scissors.

"Well, how fortunate your gods have heard my plea. Yeah, verily. I discussed with mineself the true nature of my style of hair. But woe, no answer returneth. Tell me truthfully, should I trust my hard earned sheckles on thee, how can I be promised the true vision of a master stylist?"

"Pffffffffffft." Nominé couldn't help but be sent off into a spiral of laughs, she could barely contain herself by how funny she found the boys reaction to her introduction to be that she had to cling a hold of her own chest to try and stop her lungs from collapsing. Completely ruining her entire method of ~~scare tactics~~ showing off how confident she was in her abilities as a hair stylist.

"Righteous glory, that was divine." She'd eventually splutter out between laughing fits. "That really how utterly perplexcuating I sound when I do that? My, oh my bahahaha~!" Trying her hardest to calm down and catch her breath, Nominé would grin at the boy and flip the scissors in her hand around her index finger. "Oh by the lords yer grace, I doubteth you'll ever wanteth another in all the known lands after today! I can bet'cha that much for all to believe." The hairdresser would reply, trying not to laugh as she spoke in continuing the stupid act that had unfolded.

"Would it be that bad if she was? This is probably the first lady you've made laugh in hysterics like this. Keep it going; mayhaps she finds it charming."
"I'm not a player, you know. I'll just humor her for a bit."

This one was a curious one. She talked highly of her skills and offered to trade them for a modest cash payment. Seeing as how Lui would be intrigued to talked with the diva Katty more, he wondered if indeed a change in hairstyle would help with his appeal to the expecting masses. Wouldn't hurt to ask...

"Indeed it is, m'lady. Have to say, you've got an excellent taste in vernacular. Definitely gets my attention, though. So, ahem...

May I request thy trusted opinion, Lady of the Trimming Shears? I note the lines of ink that reside in thy locks. Would, persay, my ash-black hair be better suited with a streak of color as well? Or will a simple trim bring out the most wooing of the masses?

The woman would bow again to the compliment on her word choices, she did have a tendency to say some very odd words at times or make up metaphors that made no sense or really just completely make up a new word all together. But it was more fun that way, who wanted to be a boring ol' nobody who just said what everyone else said anyway? "I thank you, kind boy. You gotta pretty chippin' vocab yaself."

"Oooo, ooo, oooo~! I like that a lot. The Lady of the Trimming Shears. Has a magnificent chime to it!" The woman would say with a genuine smile on her face before pulling out her phone and typing it into her notes for later. "Ah, so you have a keen eye da'ya?" Nominé would admire the boys perception of the light highlights in her hair with a slight nod. "I do indeed think you could benefit from something a lil' more stylish! I'd say even a lighter streak of colour down the ends of the strands would bring out the true potential of your lushes hair. A tidy up of a trim to make it truly stand out and shine and I'd have ya looking top notch boy. That much you can trust me wholeheartedly for."

This one was a very welcome break from the norm; a fellow soul who grew tired of the usual responses and could cut loose with their speech. Whatever he was saying was certainly appealing to her, and it looked like she was borrowing the title he had given her. Deciding to play off of it and inquire about her shop, Lui kept the discussion rolling with a belated introduction.

"Don't believe I gave my name, dear. Name's Lui, Captain of the Seven Stars Fencing Club. May I ask where your shop is situated so that I may pay a visit? Also, what's your pricing? You certainly made a good argument, so I may let my sis know. She's been looking to get some highlights."

Nominé had to hold back a laugh as the boy told his name, she was almost certain he was about to say Captain of the Seven Seas and she really wanted to start laughing about it but somehow managed to keep her composure even if she had a wide smirk on her face. "Good ta meet'cha Lui. Name's Nominé, Lady of the Trimming Shears." She'd say with a light bow before laughing, that was truly a name that she took quite fondness of, she'd have to use that somewhere.

"As for all the business faf, really depends on the job ye afta'. I mean, none of it's free obviously, but trust me when I say I never rip a guy or gal off." She'd nod, pleased to have interested the guy in possibly coming and checking out her store sometime. She'd raise her hand holding the pair of scissors once more and point off to a street on the other end of the park. "Down that street and to the left, huge sign out from with yours trulys name plastered on top. Kinda hard to miss. 'Nless ya'a bat."

Wow, she was really riding that title. Maybe she could afford to buy a hanging sign just to pin that title over her shop. Still, Nomine wasn't the most common name around. He was curious about her origin, with her reference to the word bat pinning to his mind the idea that maybe she was born somewhere else. No noticeable accent, at least. Maybe it wouldn't hurt to ask.

"Nice to meet you, Lady Nomine. Wait... something about that name is resonating with me. Where are your parents from? I have a ...friend from France, and I'm getting the same vibe from your name."

"Down that way, eh? A bit of a walk from Little Tokyo, but I'd love to visit sometime. See your running with your "Lady of the Trimming Shears" title. If you really want, I'd be glad to give you some service so you can add a little sign for your new title. Unless you're more serious about your business... I'll still use that title for you. You're delightful to chat with. I swear, I'm meeting all the interesting folks these days. Wish I'd have met you guys years ago. So, do you attend Seven Stars or are you out of high school already?"

Nominé would smirk at Lui's remark on her name. "Keen eyes and sharp ears, eh oh Captain of the Seven Seas?" She'd tease before flicking her fringe out of her face with one hand, this guy sure seemed to pick up on things pretty quick for someone who was seemingly just joking around with her. How fun. "Born and... Well, sailed the seas." She'd nod before laughing again. "But ye, was born over in France, parents are both French, though we buckled over this way of the world quite early on in my life. Don't even remember the ol' place, seen pics though. Very different from here, that's for sure."

"I have a few ideas in mind for it, ya'll jus' gotta wait n see." She'd say with a wink as he questioned what her plans were if she was going to continue using that name he made up. "And you ain't half a bag of rice to talk to either, most people are such a draaaggg. You seem like a more extraordinaire of the out of the norm and into the wack kinda guy. Tis' been fun to talk with ya." She'd smirk, genuinely quite pleased with how this whole endeavor had gone after such a forward and bizarre way to introduce herself. "Nah, finished that shite few years back. Dun need much from a school to know how to cut hair like a champ. Never wanted anything more."

Lui openly smiled at the comments he was receiving. Not only did she pick up on his observational skills, but she assigned him a new nickname to match hers. Captain of the Seven Seas, eh? Still, it felt interesting to find yet another friendly lady from France, though this one was a touch more spastic and energetic than the fairly reserved Batilde.

"And you ain't half a bag of rice to talk to either, most people are such a draaaggg. You seem like a more extraordinaire of the out of the norm and into the wack kinda guy. Tis' been fun to talk with ya."
"Likewise. You're a colorful lady. Wish I could stay longer, but I need to help with my sister's campaign later. She's running for student council, and somebody needs to help make her posters. Can I get a number to call you or the shop should I decide to come by?"

"Interesting. Well, I'm still a second year there, so if you ever want to see the fencing club in action, feel free to swing by. Experience my expertise firsthand, y'know?"

Should Lui receive her number, he would wave goodbye to Nomine as he wandered down the road leading to the downtown area. He returned to his conversation with Shirokishi

"Another girl's number? And you claim you weren't a player. Best not let Batilde catch wind of you cheating with another French maiden."
"First off, we're not dating. Second, she's a nice person and all, but the worst to expect is her giving me a dye job. Still, she's worth noting. Maybe I'll pass by later when we meet Batilde..."

"Kind'a'ya to say." She'd reply with a light nod, flipping her phone out of her pocket again. "Sounds kinda boring to be fair, but nice'a'ya to help out ya sis I guess." She'd add before turning her phone around to show the screen to Lui, her number on screen for him to copy down. "Don't often give my number out, but ya seem pretty cool, like to see where the road of time takes our merry chats in the future." She'd pocket the phone again once he was done, she'd just get his number whenever he called her or whatever. She wasn't fussed about having it herself yet.

"Maybe... Dunno, don't really sound like the kinda razz ma tazz I'd be into. But who knows." She'd shrug lightly before waving goodbye back to Lui and turning to head back towards her store. "Cyah round Capn'." She'd call out as she disappeared into the crowds of the park. Not exactly how she expected that whole confrontation to go, but hey. Couldn't of asked for it to go any better.
