The Jury's Still Out [Tatsui Kaito] [Nighttime]

Since Selenus was unable to find peace on the lake he found a few acres back, he gifured he'd keep looking for a place where he could relax and keep to himself. All the things that had gone down in the last few days were crushing his psyche, and he needed to be alone for a while to relax and recharge his motivations. Eventually an interesting landmark showed itself on his GPS, and he followed his own directions until he reached a small cliff that overlooked the trees of the camping grounds. Selenus sighed and sat down on the edge of the cliff, then looked towards the sky. The moon was positioned just above the treeline and in front of the cliff, so to any who who bothered to follow the small rock climb up until the cliff, they would be greeted by the sight of a sitting wolf staring at the moon, as the moonlight hitting him from the front left only his silhouette to be discerned from the back.

Selenus exhaled (or well, made an exhaling sound) in a figure of content peace. Even when the city of Endymion and the world (or what was left of it) revealed their horrid, morbid, disgusting true selves, the moon was always as beautiful and reassuring as ever.

*Sigh* It's been so hectic lately. It's so hard to be able to mask what's going on while being able to do what needs to be done. I mean, I have to hide stuff from my family who I live with, from anyone else around me, and most of all from the government. I cannot risk the government learning of my abilities or I will likely be toast. *Sigh* I honestly am glad that I decided to go out to East Eden to just.... try to relax. I really need to relax for a bit with all of this going on. I had to tell my parents that I was going here to relax from some stress. I had to underplay it with school stress and studying overnight, but I don't know how long that story will be able to last me. Oh well, I can just evade, keep it secret, or whatever. And with my record with my parents they likely won't be too worried about me, after all, I can usually handle myself.... usually. *Sigh* That honestly reminds me that I'm not much use when going up against the supernatural. My main means of attack only insta-kills the mooks, it doesn't do shit for any big bosses or such. After that I am left with a minor healing... which other people have better versions of, and some soulbound attacks which won't do that much. *Sigh* Oh well, I guess I should find some relaxing spot. The lake? No, that would be too stagnant now. But the cliff has a great view of the area and I could just lay back and look at the night sky. Yeah, I guess there is good.... Hm? What is that? Wait... wolf-like.... "Selenus, is that you?" I ask quietly trying not to disturb him if it is him.

Selenus quickly swiveled his head around to meet the source of the sudden voice, dispelling the (admittedly, kinda cool in his eyes) effect that the natural lighting had granted him. "Oh, hello Tatsui." The robot canine would reply, glad to see the face of a friend, but slightly dissappointed to find that "peace and quiet" wouldn't be found here either. "It's a bit of a surprise to meet you here of all places." He commented as his head went back to its original position, staring longingly at the moon. "I didn't take you for the outdoorsy type. Well, I do remember you enjoy fitness... eh, that was probably a sign. My bad." He chuckled. "So, what are you doing all the way out here? Staying out of trouble, or at least as out of it as people like us can get, I hope?"

"Hello." I say greeting Selenus. So he is here. How did he find this place? Did he use his internet for it? So cheap but so good. Ahh, but the stars are so beautiful tonight. "Well, I guess it might be. After all this is a bit of a remote place." I say acknowledging how Selenus is surprised to see me here. "Didn't take me for the ourdoorsy type?" I say with poorly hidden amusement. Well, I guess it would make sense for Selenus not to think me so, after all, i'm not a nut about it. Oh, he remembered my remarks about that? Huh, I guess that is the memory of a machine for ya. "Eh, nothing like that. I.... just need some time away from all of this. Some time to relax from all this madness." I say wearily sitting down next to Selenus. "It's just... all so much so fast. I just need some time to stop and calm down."

Just needing some time to wind down and relax? Selenus could certainly get behind that, especially since he was here for that exact same reason as well. Maybe he and Tatsui had more in common than he originally suspected. Selenus scooted to the side a little bit to make room for Tatsui as he sat down. Out of all the other members of their little quartet of terrorists, Tatsui seemed the most distant of all to Selenus. In every occasion they’d met, it was by extension of meeting with somebody else; they’d never really sat down and bonded on their own. Maybe it was high time to change that.

”You know, Tatsui…” Began the mechanical wolf. ”We’re teammates and all, yet I know very little about you. I evidently trust you, otherwise I wouldn’t have asked you to do that if worse comes to worse, but I still don’t know that much about you, and as your teammate in survival that bothers me a little bit. How about you tell me about yourself?”
