Heya! I'm your friendly neighborhood Larsinny, a demon here to keep you updated on the current debacles going on within the site! Okay, maybe not debacles... Anyway! The Endymion Plot, our Third Main Plot, is underway! We also have our sideplot taking place called Junction! If you're a new member looking to join the new plot, you will want to choose Endymion. However, if you're interested in our sideplot, you may also join that one aswell. The choice is ultimately up to you! The Dungeon Master of the Junction plot is CWIS and the DM of the current Endymion plot is Godai and Grantus.

All templates on the site have been updated, and this also includes the rules aswell. When referring to the rules, please disregard any that say "Old" or "Obsolete" as we are no longer using those rules for the Endymion Plot. Oh, don't be mistaken! I love breaking the rules! But in this case, follow them or erasure!

True Form Name: Shadow King

Shadow's Arcana: IV – The Emperor

True Form Appearance: Truly a grotesque and confusing sight to behold, at first glance Shadow King’s true state resembles a cross between an anthropomorphic lion and a Barong dance costume. Most of his massive body—now standing easily ten feet tall—is hidden beneath his cloak, which resembles the one he wears in his base form. It is much longer now, however, trailing the ground as he lumbers along as if old and crippled. Still, the silhouette of his form can be seen even through this thick cloth, his body stiff and hunched like a crippled, monstrous beast. What his cloak doesn’t obscure is hidden instead by a thick white mane, seemingly a longer version of the black-spotted white fur that fringes his cloak. It frames his face much like a lion’s would, though its texture is disgustingly thick and greasy. His face is partially hidden by a masquerade mask, which resembles that of Barong’s crown, but it can still be seen that it is human skin wrapped around a facial structure halfway between human and feline.

When his arms and legs protrude from beneath his cloak it becomes apparent that they too are somewhere between human and feline. The limbs are draped in long white fur, not spotted like his mane, but just as greasy and disgusting to touch. His hands are dexterous and human-like, but thickly padded with black, leathery flesh and bear long, curved black claws. His feet are four-toed paws with the same long claws, attached to digitigrade legs.

When he stands at his full height, Shadow King’s body is revealed. His entire body is covered in that long, greasy white fur, though none of the rest of it is spotted like his mane. Clamped to his arms and legs are a series of chains and shackles, which seem to be part of the reason why he lumbers about like a crippled old man when he moves. Some of these chains, however, drape from his limbs and end with open shackles, as if he was meant to be chained to something—or someone—else.

Form Background: Shadow King’s true form revolves around two main ideas: the protective and courageous nature of the lion, and his idea of equivalent exchange between leader and followers. Had he instead developed into a Persona, Shadow King likely would’ve been Barong, or some other form of guardian lion. The lion represents unfaltering courage, a thing that Shadow King exemplifies… as long as he has followers.

Which leads to the second part of his appearance. Those who choose to follow the Shadow King’s lead are essentially his slaves, shackled to him either by trust, duty, fear, or force. He is only as devoted to them as they are to him, which means that untrustworthy followers are a burden and faithful followers are an emotional weakness. The shackles show that his strengths are his greatest weakness; a king who rules no one is not a king at all, and in becoming a Shadow he has forsaken the power of bonds—the very power he tries to manipulate to his advantage.

Passive Boosts: +15% Strike Attacks

Shadow Skill List:
Skill 1: Stagnant Air | Increases all allies' and enemies' susceptibility to ailments and light/dark spells by 20%. | 5 SP | Tier 1

Skill 2: Marin Karin | 25% Chance of inflicting the Charm ailment to one enemy. If successful, the enemy will attack allies (with soulbound weapon) or heal user for 3 turns. | 5 SP | Tier 1

Skill 3: Charm Boost | Increases odds of instilling Charm by 25% | Passive | Tier 2

Skill 4: Strike Master | Increases Strike based dexterity damage output by 30% | Passive | Tier 2
(Unlocked once defeating ten Demons/Shadows. Must be Tier
2 or below.)

Skill 5:  Sexy Dance | 25% chance of inflicting the Charm ailment to all enemies. If successful, enemy will attack allies (with soulbound weapon) or heal user for 3 turns. | 10 SP | Tier 2
(Must have used your Shadow Frenzy ability to defeat atleast three enemies in one battle or used your True Form 35 times in PvS combat; Must be Tier 3 or lower)

Skill 6: Null Charm | Protects user from Charm. | Passive | Tier 3
(Unlocked once defeating thirty additional Demons/Shadows and using your True Form 35 times in PvS combat; Must be Tier 3 or lower)

Skill 7: Regenerate 3 | Recovers 6% of max HP on each user turn. | Passive | Tier 3  
(Unlocked once using your True Form to defeat a Boss above your Level or using your True Form 45 times in PvS combat; Must be a Tier 4 Skill or Lower)

Skill 8: Auto-Mataru | Begin the battle with Matarukaja cast on all allies. Takes precedence over Auto-Tarukaja. | Passive | Tier 3
(Unlocked after defeating 60 Demons/Shadows in combat and using yourTrue Form 45 times in PvS combat; Must be a Tier 4 Skill or Lower)



Special Ability:

Ability Name: Shadow Frenzy
Appearance while in Frenzy: Shadow King looks the same as always while Frenzied, although upon activation he draws himself to his full height with a rattle of chains and a grotesque popping of bones. He throws his cloak over his shoulders and out of the way, revealing his chained form beneath.

Description: The Shadow Selves have a special ability called the "Shadow Frenzy" allowing them to cast skills at half the price, and link Tier skills like a chain. For Example: If a Shadow Self were to go into a Frenzy, they could cast a Tier 1 skill and immediately follow that Tier 1 skill with a Tier 2 skill in the same post. The only requirement is that the skills being chained must be the same type, such as Garu to Garula, or Magaru to Magarula. Also you can only link up to three skills total. This Shadow Frenzy only lasts for three (3) turns, and once it ends it can not be used again the entire topic and all following skills will be weaker by 50% (unless a special item is used).

Persona Name: Shadow King
Tier: Tier 1
Cost: Passive
Type of Damage: None
Description: Shadow King's Dex-based attacks have a 15% chance of inflicting the "Weight" ailment. If successfully hit with the Weight ailment, the opponent will be unable to dodge any attacks. Their own attacks will also have a latent 30% miss rate added to them aswell. This effect only lasts a single turn and can be healed by your typical ailment healing skill.

Mmkay, love. Almost perfect. Now then.

Soul Skill Name: King’s Command
Persona Name: Shadow King
Tier: Tier 1
Cost: 10% SP
Type of Damage: None
Description: Shadow King points his scepter at a target and commands them to kneel. This skill has a 10% chance of downing that target, but should it fail grants the target Tarukaja.

For the cost, I request changing the amount used to a solid number. We typically use the percentage cost for physical skills that take HP, but not for magic. So change the percentage to 6 SP since that is about how much it cost to cast Tarukaja anyway.

For the command to kneel take that part out as this may rub some the wrong way in a PVP setting. Fix this for me and I will approve you.

Bear in mind that skill will not work on bosses or the like.

Just bear in mind whatever element your dex is, if it is resisted, reflected, etc, the ailment will not activate. APproved.
