Why did the librarian stare? Was it not common for a studious student to want to study as much in their various topics as possible? She was certain it was normal. So what if she's piled up to eight books, one on top of the other, obscuring her vision. She's done this before and she knew exactly which table she wanted.
Were there tests coming up? No there wasn't. Was this important for homework? Not yet, it would seem. She just wanted to get ahead of the curve.
Besides, this would become a good habit to get into. When she becomes a cadet (yes, she is that certain that she will become one), she'll need to be in the right mindset for the work. That means she'll need to be able to study all the information they have available on any case she may end up with. It was sure to be a tiring ordeal, so why not develop her stamina for it now?
With relative ease (well, almost relative. She had to maneuver around some people to get to her table), she got to her seat, set her books down, and pulled up the book on Endymion's history. This one she's been working on time and again, often making a note of where she had left off before having to return it. If she was going to have a history test, she would be ready to write a full report on everything this one book had to offer. Of course, she had several other books on Endymion's history at the ready. No point in making a report without several references.

Today was a free day for George Touzaki. While he was waiting for his labs to finally extract the experimental results of one subject, he didn't have much obligations to fulfill as of today. The Touzaki heir felt rather out of place with nothing to do. The labs were full of other Touzaki branch members trying to expand their craft or looking over their valuable data through the LCD screens. Being the only guy that had nothing to do, he finally decided to leave the establishment. It'd be for a few hours before George had to return to check up on the results.
So what better way to waste time than hitting the books?
The library was well-furnished thanks to the Government funding. He walked around at first, wondering what subjects to cover. But eventually he decided upon a catalog on demonic research. While he excelled in creating weapons, knowing more about the potential crafting materials would do him some good.
Eventually he spied upon an open seat near a girl with a pile of books. George wondered if she'd be able to finish all of that in one sitting, but it would be rude to broach on such a topic.
"Excuse me, is this seat available?"

She was a little annoyed to have her studies interrupted, but the intrusion would be a forgivable one. After all, she wasn't the only one using the library. If this person needed the seat, it would be rude of her to deny him his librarian needs.
"Yes it is," she replied, pulling away from her book to face him, "Though I can't promise that I'll be much company if that is what you are seeking. Already she began to size him up.
He has such a soft exterior. Maybe quiet... maybe reserved? No, you're jumping to conclusions. This is a library, after all. Quiet behavior is expected. He has a bit of presence to him, though. More likely it's due to his height, but I still wonder... if he's someone important?
