Another day after school, another day exploring Endymion. Today, Tatum has chosen to explore Little Tokyo. It was a pretty neat place if one wanted to get at least a glimpse of a different kind of culture.

The river was fun to run besides, and trying to find secret passage ways in the Tokyo stripe for her to exploit was a bit tricky, but entertaining in it's own way. All in all, she regularly enjoyed her outings in Little Tokyo.

Today was a little different from her usual affairs of exploring. She found herself pressing her face into the window of one little bake shop.

How did I miss this place... she thought to herself, How in the world did I somehow miss this place... I'd be frequently this place more often if I had known it was here...

She pulled her face away and checked her pockets and her wallet. Empty, not a single bit of cash on her.

And of course, groceries get me again... maybe if I can find a job at a paper route... they let kids do paper routes, right? Okay, so I can't get a nice delicious bakery sweet goodness, but maybe I can get a different kind of goodness!

With that, she knocked on the door and let herself in.

"Excuse my intrusion!" she announced as she stepped in. She heard somewhere that, in Japan, that was the thing she was supposed to do if she walked in without being invited. Sure, it was a shop, but she still felt like she should at least attempt to be some level of polite.

The Heartfelt Bakery sat within the shopping district of Little Tokyo. An oriental exterior with a traditional bakery interior. It was widely popular within Little Tokyo and its fame had even reached out into other reaches of Endymion. A budding business famous for its sweets and baked goods and its wonderful atmosphere and customer service.

Today had been early in the morning, and it was safe the three bakers inside were all equally exhausted. The boy would sigh as he practically laid on the counter, his parents in the back tiredly preparing the ingredients for tomorrow's load of orders. Who had thought it could be so busy all of the sudden? Well, they supposed it was the fault of bad planning on their fault... Over twenty orders had been due today! Not to mention the normal hustle bustle that Little Tokyo's shopping district brought every afternoon.

The boy at the counter was definitely asleep... Hit hat barely covering his face as he soundly slept there. He didn't here the girl walk in even with Proxy's gentle prods. If it was a customer they definitely weren't here for an order... He had, like, at least a minute before they made up their mind... A precious minute of blissful sleep... The best kind of sleep!

Her eyes were a little wide at the sight of the sleeping employee.

Uh... he's a sleep... she thought to herself, Neat little location, plus 3 points. Neat little atmosphere. Plus 5 points. Shop keep asleep at the counter... minus 7 points... at least they still have one point in their favor... If I'm a good little girl, I should probably wake him up.

She checked herself briefly in the reflection of the window. Her jacket collar was down. She very calmly pulled it up so that it obscured her face.

Guess I'm not gonna be a good little girl for a little bit, she smirked inwardly, mischief entering her mind. She walked right up to the counter and even climbed onto it so that she was sitting suwarikko style next to the young man. There was a noticeable grin on her face as she got close, getting a really good look at his face.

He's kinda cute! She thought to herself, I kind of wanna let him sleep. Too bad I'm not being nice right now. Hmmm... I wonder how long until he notices... With that, she started gently poking his forehead, being sure to keep her face within an inch of distance from his.

"Vassal, awaken now."

The boy's eyes would open in wide terror at Proxy's gaze within his mind. He was only sleeping for a little while... But then he felt the pokes on his forehead, and looked at the person whose face was mere inches from him. He'd scream and stumble back, falling off of his stool with a crash. Groaning as he laid there, looking up at the ceiling. Proxy would hum in mild amusement at the boy's predicament, an annoyed look crossing his face. He wanted to go to bed now... Definitely going to bed soon.

"Mmn... That was mean." the boy would say before climbing back onto his stool, words for both the girl and his shadow. It was one thing to be scared by Proxy's scary eyes... But then to have a face so close to his right afterwords was terrifying! It wasn't expected and it was mean...

"D-Do you need something...? I was not sleeping that long, you know..." the boy would say with a small pout. He hadn't really taken notice of the girl's age. He was too busy pouting at the situation at hand. Proxy's amused hums didn't help him much either.

Seeing the poor boy scream and fall backwards was enough to cause Tatum to flinch.

"Oooooh, that looked like it hurt," she said, trying her best to stifle her giggles. She failed to keep from giggling. "Still, for excellent performance in spite of being caught sleeping, ten points! So your shop has now been bumped up to Eleven points!" She shifted herself so that her feet were hanging from the side of the counter.

"Sorry to say, but I'm not a customer," she said with a barely visible grin, "I just thought I drop in and browse the wares. I love what you've done with the place! If I had known this place was here earlier, I'd be blowing all of my money here instead of groceries! A sweet tooth is an important thing to satisfy for every kid, you know! So, what kind of TV show were you watching that kept you up all night, Bread Boy?" She gently flicked his bangs as she asked her question. Perhaps she was getting a little too familiar with the poor boy?

What was she talking about...? Mmn... The boy wasn't exactly sure what the girl was rambling on about... His head was still fuzzy from the nap he had took and the horrendously busy morning they had had. Couldn't she make more sense...?

"I do not understand..." the boy would say with a small tilt of his head. Really, points? What points was she talking about? Why was their shop being graded? It was all so very confusing... And a little mean...

"I was not acting, you know..." he'd mumble quietly too himself. It may have looked like an overreaction... But Proxy did scary things sometimes and it was never nice of her...

"I do not watch TV... And I did not stay up late last night. I was busy helping my family this morning." he'd say with a small pout. Why was she assuming things? Jeez... He just wanted to take a nap...

His responses... they're too cute! Tatum found herself blushing a little bit in response to the sleepy-headed boy. How in the world did she stumble onto someone so cute?!

At least it inadvertently got her to back off a little.

"Don't worry your adorable little head over it," she replied, "it's just a silly game I play. So, you had yourself a busy morning. Does this place get really busy in the morning? Wait, do you even go to school? Do you... work here all day?"

A-Adorable little head? Why was she saying such things like that...? It was embarrassing... He never had someone flirt with him before. In all honesty, he didn't really understand what the word meant. Was this what it meant? Maybe... Proxy stayed silent, finding the girl's existence tiresome as soon as Zavie had gotten emotional. Dealing with his constant torrents of varying emotions was a tiresome endeavor.

"A-Adorable...? W-What..." he'd respond quietly, blushing gently at the use of the word. He had been called it before... But mostly by his parents and older people. Never by a girl... Could she be any more embarrassing?

"Not normally, no. We just accidentally lumped too many order pick up dates on the same day... Then, there was a sell near by at a coffee shop, so they were directed here for baked goods with their coffee... It was just a really busy morning." the boy would say with a small sigh. It had been awful... And then he showed up... It was such a tiring event all in all, regardless of what had happened.

"U-Um... I am home schooled... So, I kind of work here all day... It depends how much school work I have to get done. I sometimes do school during work, so I do both." the boy would say with a small nod of his head. She sure was being nosy... Well, Callie was the same way... Maybe it was normal for girls to ask a lot of questions?

"Whoa, you get to work all day with your parents?" I'm kind of envious. I'm lucky if I even get a call from Daddy...

"That's gotta be tiring sometimes, especially today of all days," she replied, trying to be sympathetic. A bit of pity and sympathy for the boy found its way into her heart.

"Okay, you definitely need your rest... um, is there anything I can do that can help? I don't have any money to buy anything, but I'm a good go-for, and if you need help delivering those orders, I know a lot of nifty shortcuts in the city. If its allowed, I could deliver some for ya." She did honestly want to help. Hearing that story and seeing how it's affecting the guys sleep made her want to ease his burdens, assuming he would allow it.

Why was she so excited about that? Well, it wasn't exactly normal... But still. Was it reallllllly worth getting excited over? The boy didn't really know... He just wanted a nap, that was all! With a sigh though, he'd nod his head.

"Yes, I technically do work here all day." the boy would say with another nod of his head. It seemed tedious to repeat himself... But, oh well. Maybe this was just how girls were like. He really didn't know, though.

"It really is not... Most of the time, that is. Today was just unluckily lucky." he'd say with an indifferent shrug. They were worked too the bone this morning, but they had made a lot of money in the process... Not to mention just the fact their name was now out even further into Endymion. Maybe soon they could open another bakery...?

"H-Huh? Um... No, we are fine now... And, we have people come pick up their orders here. We do not have the people to take our goods across Endymion. And if there are short cuts, I know them..." the boy would say with a determined nod. His cats always told him about the little alleyways people didn't go down and the likes. His kitty cat network was always useful and they hadn't failed him yet! Unless they didn't get any food... Then they failed him a lot...

"I see," she replied, at least relieved to know that he was okay for the moment. Maybe she should go and let him finally rest. He's obviously had a hard day and doesn't need a mischief-maker right now to make things worse.

"Well I hope the rest of your day is an easy one. I probably bothered you enough as it is." With that, she hopped off the counter and made her way to the door. "If I ever get any money, I'm definitely buying a lot of bread stuff here, that I promise! Sorry for being such a pain in the butt!"

If I manage to catch him in a better mood, I'm totally asking him about those short cuts! Maybe we can compare notes!

Eh? She was leaving already? But... Well, alright then. The boy wasn't exactly going to stop her. It'd be too much effort right now with how tired he was... Plus, he didn't really feel like small talking about calendars and pillows... Those made him sleepy just thinking of their names! Agh...

"Alright then... See you later then." the boy would say with a lazy wave as he watched the girl leave. Hm... She was odd and reminded him quite a bit of Callie... Was that a good thing or a bad thing? Oh, who knew? It was naaaaap tiiiiiime...

With that, she was out the door, making a point to memorize it's location and it's name. The Heartfelt Bakery. What a lovely name. With a small smile, she sprinted off to find new short cuts and unexplored locations.

Shortly after, she came back with a small sign, meant to be hung on the door. It was actually hers, but she figured she could loan it for the poor boys sake.

"Do not Disturb, Nap times." the sign said. She figured it was the least she could do for the poor boys sake.
