Rain in Little Tokyo rarely deterred people from the streets and home owned shops, but it did have a knack of driving people away from the parks found here and there across Little Tokyo. It was nice being all alone at one, even if he hated the idea of getting wet... But, that's why he had an umbrella and a rain coat on! Plus, they were both clear, so he could watch the rain fall on his umbrella and know he was wearing something nice underneath the rain coat!

Simple pleasures, maybe, but... Then again, everything was. The boy was skeptic of the future... Not much time had passed, no... But the thoughts that crowded his and Proxy's head on a daily basis worried him greatly. It was awful in all honesty... What more could the two of them do besides hiding away and hoping no one came snooping around for them...

It mattered, but right now the boy didn't want to think of all of that. He wanted to witness the pleasant quietness of the park as well as the idle and mundane chat he was having with Proxy.

"What about that sprightly girl? Have you seen her lately?" the shadow would quietly whisper in the boy's mind as the boy walked along a path with flowers adorning it. It was such a peaceful scene...

"No... But, I know who she is now... She is a model. I will have to tell her that next time I see her." the boy would think back to his shadow, the two continuing a small conversation about the people they've met so far. It was nice talking about something so simple.

In the rain, there was a man that seemed to be staring at a field oof flowers, unmoving. That man, was Gabriel Gatsby. There was something particular to him involving the patch of daisies that he was staring at, they had a link to his past that he long since forgot, the days where he would go wth his mother as a child for walks in the park. This was one particular spot that she liked, she liked daisies."....." How fitting it was, to be out in the rain by himself, in his tailored outfit, or as to why he even found himself there in the first place. Right now, he was focused on making the money to pay the detective, something in order to give him a sense of peace. But Gabe had no peace.

The boy would continue walking through the park before stopping. There was a person out here? That was strange... With a small sigh he'd carefully pull the white beanie he was wearing a little further down his head. He had to keep his ears hidden, after all. Though, the man seemed vaguely familiar... Oh, was it him?

"Um... Hello?" the boy would gently call out as he slowly walked towards the man, watching his step as to not step in a puddle or slip on the slick ground. Why would Gabe be out here though? In the rain no less... And in a suit without an umbrella... A strange combination of happenings.

"You could get a cold with your head getting all wet... Do you not have an umbrella?" the boy would ask as he walked up next to Gabe, a light tilt in his head. He wasn't tall enough to hold his umbrella above his head, but maybe they could share it if Gabe wanted.

"Hmmm?" Gabe looked down and gave the young man a smile. "Young Zavie, i wasn't expecting you to be out here in the rain. I wouldn't want you to catch a cold or anything of the sort. "Of course, the first thing that was pointed out to Gabe was the concern of Zavie's well-being. He wasn't too worried about himself, not at all actually. "Hmm? Do i have an umbrella you say? Well... no..i seemed to have left it back at my job, but there's no point in going back for it, i'm already here, you know?" Gabe would say with a small sigh. "You know, a few of these plants actually rely on the natural terrain to nourish them, there arent official caretakers of this park.

Eh heh... He was as strange as ever. The boy would smile politely at his concern even though the man was really worst off in the rain than he was. Though the boy wouldn't mind too much. He'd tilt his head at his reason as to why he didn't have an umbrella... Well, that was sort of careless.

"Well, here! Hold my umbrella, it is big enough to keep us both out of the rain, okay?" the boy would say with a happy smile, holding up his umbrella towards Gabe. He wasn't really worried about getting too wet, after all, he had a rain coat on. It would also be nice to share an umbrella! It would be... Um, what was the word?

"Really? The ground must be really healthy then! These flowers are always so super pretty, especially in the rain." the boy would say with a small and happy smile. He loved how the flowers looked all drenched in water and when they reflected light. It was just such a pleasant scene.

"Alright, thank you..."That was really nice of ZAvie to offer him the umbrella, he wasn't going to initially ask the boy to share the umbrella with him. Somewhere in his mind, that would have came off as a rude thing to do, as well as being quite irresponsible because he wasn't able to obtain his own umbrella. Though, after grabbing it, he was able to shield both of them from the rain.

"Gabe smile at the thought of the ground being happy. "So what brings you here outside in the rain like this? I think that people would most likely prefer to stay indoors at this time, right?

The boy would smile as he took the umbrella, standing a little bit closer to Gabe to stay out of the rain. He'd continue looking into the flowers, a happy smile on his face as he watched the water drip off of the leaves and petals. He even saw a snail gently making its way across the ground.

"Oh, well... It is really pretty during the rain... So, I can see all the pretty flowers without others bothering me! No one likes the rain but me, I guess." the boy would say with a nod of his head. He was used to being alone in the rain, but it was nice to actually share the sights with someone! It was really neat, you know?

A bit more of a fun fact. Even though rain is as precious as we let on, it is still illegal to collect rain water, thats pretty crazy right?" Gabe would say with a smile. "As much as you love it and its natural for mother nature to grant it to us. As well as it being pure and safe to drink from if it came from the sky, we still couldnt collect it. That is pretty bad if someone wanted to take a break from paying their water bill for a while."

Maybe it seemed a little bit random, but it was something to think about."What do you end up thinking about when it rains?

Ah... What was he going on about now? Gabe was so weird... Like, as far as Callie went! She was just weird in a weird but nice way! But, Gabe was weird in a weird way... Like, it confused the boy with all his ramblings... But, he seemed really cool! He did wear a cool outfit and all. Plus he was tall... Tall meant good, right?

"Hm... Well, if you keep all the rain water, none of the plants or animals get any. We get our water from lakes and the sea and mountains and all... Other animals and plants only get it from us or the sky." the boy said in response quite idly. He didn't really know how to respond to that... But, well, it was interesting in its own right. Maybe he could throw that information at Takeru...

"Hm? Well I think about the pretty flowers of course! I do not get to see them very often, so it is fun to see them!" the boy would say with a cheery attitude. He really wanted to know why he was so spacey with his random thoughts... Maybe they could just talk about one topic... Then it'd be easier to understand him.

That's true too, but its not like you can sit there and look up while it rains. Another animal does that , getting all the free water it needs but it would be a little dangerous. Chickens, did you know that it can rain and they can literally drown themselves? Thats a fun fact, and here is another, if you had any kind of pet fish, its not like they monitor their food. They can basically eat themselves to death, so, sometmes, a plethura of options isn't so great for something." Other than that.

"What is your favorite flower and why? PErhaps i can bother you some more with a little trivia if i know about it?" Gabe said with a wink.

The boy would honestly just smile and nod. He was so confused as to the random trivia and... Honestly, some of it was down right disturbing. Proxy would stir gently, her eyes lazily looking over the man. She didn't overly care... But she was cautious as of now... Or more so.

"That is... Um... Interesting... I suppose." the boy would say with a small nod. He honestly didn't understand the random trivia... Why couldn't they just talk about flowers... Or the rain.. Or how the day was... The boy honestly didn't associate Gabe with his silly games, and it confused him as to why he seemed to be impressing him with the information. It was kind of boring when they were in such a pretty scene.

"Oh! Well... My favorite flowers are lycoris! Especially the red ones!" the boy would say with a broad smile. He loved those flowers! Plus, lycoris was a type of candy as well! He didn't really know how lycoris candy was made... But the flowers were beautiful!

"The flower of death..." the boy's shadow would whisper in a small voice, she was surprised the boy loved such a morbid flower... Did he have other hidden morbid likes? Hm... This would be quite interesting to investigate.

Those look kind of creepy......." Gabe didnt like the red ones for some reason, something about them reminded him of some sort of ancient sea monster that dwelled within the deep waters or something." Sorry, i dont seem to recall what that flower is, or know anything about it. "Gabe poked his head out and sighed. "I wonder when this rain is going to let up.... how long are you actually planning on staying out here?

He didn't like red lycoris? Oh, that wasn't any good. How could he hate such a pretty flower? They were so nice and everything! Plus, they smelt wonderful as well! And they were pretty! Plus it was also almost summer, so that meant they'd be in bloom soon!

"Oh, they are not creepy... They are beautiful." the boy would say with a gentle sigh. He didn't really understand why he wanted to give trivia on a flower he liked. He already knew all about it thanks to Proxy! Huh... He didn't realize it could be that creepy!

"Oh, I do not know. I usually just wait around until my parents ask me to come home... Or when the rain stops. It gets hot when the rain stops and the sun comes out, you know." the boy would sat matter of factually. He disliked being too hot... Especially when it was humid hot! If it was sunlight hot, then it was fine... But anything else was a big no in the boy's book.

I guess beauty can be found in anything right? Too bad I'm not one of the people who believe that to be true. You can't go beyond the depths of cynicism once you reach adulthood. " This city made Gabe skeptical about alot of things. "Ahhh... i see... but being out here by yourself, i never seen you really play around with other kids your age. I didn't necessarily have a choice when i was growing up. What about you, do you get lonely sometimes? " Maybe he didnt, Zavie was different than most.

Mm... Why was he getting all moody now? The boy was truly confused by this sudden change of personality. It was like Gabe wanted to be so cold towards the world. It was a little scary, in a way... But it was especially lame. It made any scene into a dull, unhappy one. With a small sigh, the boy would look away from the flowers, looking down at the ground.

"You know, you should be more positive. If you look at everything like that, you will never be happy. You have to look at things through happy eyes or everything will be ugly. You should be happy more instead of all weird and moody. That makes other people sad and then it is like an illness! It just spreads and spreads and no one can be happy. But, if you are happy that can spread like a good illness, you know. Do you just want to be sad, and make everyone else sad or would you rather be happy, and make everyone else happy too?" the boy would say with a small harumph. He was tired of seeing Gabe like this. He hadn't known the man long, but he always noticed a tinge of something in him. Self doubt, sadness, inferiority... It was time that stopped, in the boy's opinion.

"I do not get lonely. I have my parents, and all of my cats! And I have Callie whenever she comes around. Plus, I work at the register so I get to talk to people a lot, you know. I do not have a lot of friends, but you do not need friends to feel wanted." the boy would respond. He seemed rather mature for his age while talking about these things. He wasn't super smart or intelligent... After all, all he did was nap all day, bake, and talk to cats! But he knew about happiness and he knew about comradery and family. These things were important to him... And sad things were bad. That was that.
