**ALERT!** After a rather eventful evening at Maksim's Party, three teenagers seems to have gone missing. The doors of Vault Olympia have been breached due to a to this day unknown assailant, who sabotaged the doors locking systems, allowing demons to make entry. Thanks to the excellent defensive capabilities of the Vault's Security drones, the Attack was put to an end, and the invading monsters fled to the outside. Right now, the Doors of Vault Olympia are currently open, allowing any survivors of the fall to seek shelter within the Vault's safe halls. What Vault Security officials think of this development remains unclear as the Chief of Police and Security of Olympia refused to leave a comment. This is Rianara, of Olympia news, signing out.

The site is entering a new era as our team of mods works tirelessly on updating old and obsolete information threads and links. Over the Summer, we aim to make many changes to the forum, including writing a comprehensive beginners' guide to help new players accommodate to the combat and other rp systems in place here.

A day in the life Empty
PostSubject: A day in the life   A day in the life EmptyFri May 27, 2016 12:00 pm

Yawning, Michael began to walk through the city, completely unsure of what exactly he wanted to do. Not being a native of the country, he always found certain things somewhat confusing, but there was one thing he was all to familiar with; crowds, and the hustle and bustle of the city. He was used to that sort of thing, growing accustomed during his migration in the states, and so found the vista to be a place he sometimes liked to hang out, especially given the plethora of restaurants of businesses that dotted seemingly every street corner. While he was definitely more fond of the quiet farming life he once took part in, he didn't really mind moving here with his friend, even if it was only temporary, as the sights certainly pleased the eye.

As usual, his pace was rather slow as he moved, as though he had all the time in the world, and nothing to spend it on. Normally, he didn't at all mind a little attention, but for the time being he might as well just enjoy the sites and sounds of the world around him, even if it was less than optimal. The breeze was nice in the early morning, and, frankly he found himself wishing for a nice cup of coffee to keep him absolutely awake as he ventured the streets; if one thing about the world told him anything, it was that one needed to be alert when moving about the big city, as those who weren't often became prey for pickpockets and worse. "I think...today will be a good day," he stated calmly, pushing his hands into his pockets as he ventured up the crowded walk way, lazily dodging people that nearly bumped into him by moving through them with seemingly little effort; it helped that he wasn't especially bulky or tall himself, as it meant that he could slip through fairly small openings.

He couldn't remember the name of that nice cafe he had found the other day, but he recalled that it served some pretty good coffee; something he was in dire need of at the moment. His thoughts shifted to the place, trying to focus on whether or not he could retrace his steps in such a huge place, and so his attention began to stray; his dodging from early now turning fairly instinctual, with near misses becoming far more prevalent, narrowly preventing him from knocking someone over; or, worse, running into a brick wall. Eventually, his attention strayed far too much, and he ran face first into a wall, immediately falling over, causing him to ruby his nose and look around, hoping that no one saw him in the thick crowd that was moving along the pavement.

A day in the life Empty
PostSubject: Re: A day in the life   A day in the life EmptyFri May 27, 2016 12:24 pm

Trinity was walking along, doing some basic shopping, and she had come here to relax on her little day trip, her practicing were not till later in the day, and then she had some free time again before going back to practice, she had her day planned and well set out, well it was planned out mostly for her, but her parents where not the kind to tie her to the schedule they made, as long as she at least took care of the important stuff they let her do what she wanted. Though at times that meant setting things in such a way that she had the time to do all her wanderings before simply sitting down for a long practice session that could last several house just to make sure she got all her practices out of the way for that day. Honestly though she didn't mind it to much, she understood why her parents made her do so and held no grudge against them for it.

As she walked with her violin case, which was one of the instruments she would be practicing today, she looked to a cafe' and decided she would stop there for a drink and a light meal, and she headed inside. it didn't take her long to make her order and get everything set up so she headed to a table out on the street side since the day was nice, and she sat down, her things set near her and her book taken out, it was a book she liked reading, called the art of war, her parents told her it could be applied to more then war, and it raised her interest in the book so she took to reading it, it seemed to only apply to war, that is until she herself applies it to other things. Then she learned from the book, though she did notice the odd looks she would get from time to time as she read it.

then abit later a man walked right into the wall near where she was sitting and she looked down at the man her face expressionless "Are you okay?" she asked in a total monotone to the man as she looked at him, wondering why he would walk right into the wall of a building like that. Maybe he wasn't paying attention? but to miss something as substantial as a buildings wall and run, well walk, right into it? She had read about things like that in some books but never really seen someone do it.

PostSubject: Re: A day in the life   A day in the life EmptyFri May 27, 2016 12:49 pm

"Alright, thank you so much! Byeeee!", she said, waving to the young couple she met along the way and, once alone again, she sighed, a bit discontent. No one seems to know where's the nearby supermarket. Like, really? Don't people buy food nowadays? Or do they order everything online? There's the possibility, and for a long while Brittany's commodity spoke louder and made it an habit. However, she was seriously reconsidering the idea, thanks to one single questioning: how would you trust supermarket employees to pick the best vegetables? The fresh and juicy fruits? As someone who lived on her own for quite some years, she learned herself how to pick up the non-rotten ones and how to evaluate, judging by their outside color and consistency, which ones are good for human consumption, with such an attention a market employee hardly would pay.

Shopping (even if it's not purse and shoes) is always something that put Brit in high spirits, simply because going outside in the daylight makes her feel free. Having her own life makes her feel free. What doesn't make her feel free is getting lost in the middle of the way, to the point she had to ask every person she runs to where it's located. Or the name of the street she's at. Gosh, that's what you get for not knowing streets by their names, but by local references. Eventually, she'd meet two odd-looking individuals, one of them being someone she couldn't bet the gender, and the other one being...a guy. Laying on the dirty pavement for some odd reason her airhead nature paid no mind to. "Hiii, excuse me you two, but do you have some time? I'm, like, searching for Walmart, I know there's one around here, but I, like, cannot remember where! I've been asking everybody and no one seems to know, or they've given all complicate explanations, or asked me to move on and ask someone else. I mean, it's just a supermarket, like, it totally can't walk and change location, can it?"

A day in the life Empty
PostSubject: Re: A day in the life   A day in the life EmptyFri May 27, 2016 1:13 pm

The young man narrowed his eyes, before slowly, and surprisingly casually, sitting up to look at the little...boy?...girl?...that happened to have watched his terrible accident. While the gender was certainly debatable, he was well aware of how young this person must have been, so he at least had the presence of mind to curse silently under his breath, rather that out loud; he wasn't the type to set bad examples for the youths of his time, ignoring the fact that he felt incredibly old in that small span of time he thought this. Lifting his right hand to scratch the back of his head, he nodded, before his expression became slightly embarrassed at the situation he had managed to land himself in. "Uh...yea...yea, I'm good," he stated, simply enough, shaking the dizziness out of his head with three, literal shakes of his throbbing noggin. While the lack of emotion in both the expression and the tone did catch him off guard, he certainly appreciated the question of concern regardless, being certain that this was just a part of some fad.

He knew about the trends in those anime; the quiet, emotionless types were quite popular in no small number of circles, though that just wasn't his type.

He liked it when he could actually read what people's intentions were to some extent; a nice smile didn't hurt, either.

As the second girl approached, talking rapidly and with a lot of apparant cheer, he arched his right brow, casting a quick glance to the the little girl, wondering if she knew the new arrival, he realized that probably wasn't the case, and began to rise to his feet, dusting himself off before casting a glance at her. The first thing he realized was the fact that she was a bit taller than him, which wasn't surprising, though that meant that she was actually fairly tall, especially for a country that usually produced people of shorter stature, from his recent observations. While he couldn't outright say she wasn't from here, especially considering her question, he didn't want to dismiss the possibility outright. Instead, he shrugged, not sure where Walmart was, either. "Nah, sorry. I'm bad with directions as-is, but I'm also fairly new to this scene, and, quite frankly, have never been to the Walmart here. I'm, uhhh, foreign, if you didn't know," he said, simply, not even bothering to look the woman up and down.

He could tell she was attractive even from a minor glance, but, being him, didn't feel like ogling her would have made for a good first impression; certainly, being seen sitting on the ground next to a prepubescent youth of questionable gender didn't help much. "But hey...do you know a good place to get some coffee? I've kinda been needin' a cup, and I forgot where the place I went to last time was," he said, quickly, trying to at least detract from the scene from earlier by changing the subject. He was actually fairly certain that some guy with a basic black t, a pair of jeans, and some converse sneakers wouldn't exactly keep her interested in conversation for long, but at least she wouldn't focus on asking why he was on the ground in the first place; and hopefully the youth wouldn't question why he ran into a wall, either.

A day in the life Empty
PostSubject: Re: A day in the life   A day in the life EmptyFri May 27, 2016 10:06 pm

Trinity looked down at the man as he lay there, and then a woman walked up and asked for directions to walmart, which was weird considering this was mostly a media area, She herself was only walking through cause she found it tended to be faster for her, as the man started to speak she tilted her head to the side as she listened to the two of them talk and the man mentioned that he was looking for a place with good coffee, she didn't know what place he wanted to get to, but she was well aware that she was currently sitting at the table of a cafe' and they had coffee, she never drank it but she heard it was good so maybe that could help the man out. As she was about to answer her order got to her, simple tea, with a bit of honey and some cookies one of which she picked up after she thanked the server, but before the server left she looked at her "Could you also bring a large black coffee and some cream and sugar...thank you".

With that she popped the edge of the cookie into her mouth, which she started to nibble on as her expressionless gaze returned to the other two. Her head tilted once more and she tried to remember the location of the easiest to reach Walmart, and she did remember there was one in the area but it wasn't a ground floor one, maybe that's why she couldn't find it? Ether way she popped the edge of the cookie out of her mouth and addressed the two "We know where there is a walmart around here and we could show you after we are done our tea.....Aslo You are in front of a Cafe'....and Nola ordered a large coffee for you...with some cream and sugar on the side..." she scooted her chair over a bit and gestured for the two to sit if they wished.

This was a rare opportunity to help two people at once and that made her feel good inside, though her voice had been fully monotone as she addressed them, and her face totally expressionless, not to mention she hadn't actually blinked till just then, but she did give one of her neutral gentle huffs that served as one of her very few expressions. "Care to join Us while they have Tea? Myrna also has a few extra cookie to share if you want one" she said to the two as she looked to the woman "Sorry but Alistar wasn't sure what you would want, but we can order again once they arrive with the coffee"

A day in the life Empty
PostSubject: Re: A day in the life   A day in the life EmptySat May 28, 2016 1:04 am

Hm? So the guy was not from America? Well then, isn't that a surprise. An attentive look could probably give the girl a lead to his identity and nationality. Too bad Brittany wasn't exactly the most attentive kind of person there is...at least, not at first glance, during first meetings which could be easily noticeable by the fact she was totally unaware that he had a short accident just now and the picture flew by the girl's head, despite finding it quite odd his weird choice of a place to sit. Besides, the guy didn't even sport a funny accent, how could he? "Oooh, I'm sooo sorry! I didn't embarrass you, did I? I mean, you don't even look foreign to me, your english is, like, so good!", she said, trying to be a bit gentler about her little slip-up. Did he take classes for the entirety of his life, she'd wonder?

All in all, Wilson girl was ready to depart and wave the young man goodbye, if his companion hadn't voice themselves into a neighborly fashion. Being helpful is a trait much appreciated by her, and while Brittany wouldn't truly demand someone to escort her to the Walmart (isn't that, like, abusive?), she also wouldn't refuse the kind offer of assistance. Knowing her true self very well, if she doesn't, chances are she'd end up getting lost again in the daedalian myriad of streets that formed Endymion's urban centers. "Oh? Hm...", she placed one finger kindly to her own chin, thinking. The invitation was quite expected, that she could aver. "...I sort of have to go urgent shopping, but a little bit of time here won't do any harm, right?", said the girl, nodding to Trinity in response and not taking long to sit by the same table as them. Perhaps the young one was lonely and needed to talk to someone? If so, then it would be pretty impolite of Brittany to simply refuse giving them a bit of her time, even if the invitation itself was quite sudden and something that could be viewed as...uncommon and fishy, yes. Regardless, once she settled down, Wilson lady smiled, clapping her hands once in a typical demonstration of joy. "I might just make you two company, though. I'm not into coffee myself. Dunno why, I feel like my stomach aches whenever I ingest even a bit? I always thought coffee was too strong of a drink, and it tastes horribly even with sugar! Oh, not saying your tastes are horribly, I'm not trashing on you! But you know what, I love cappuccino! It's a type of coffee, yeah? Like, a heavenly type, and I don't get cramps from it either! Isn't it, like, totally weird?" Yes, Brittany does talk a lot when she's in high spirits.

A day in the life Empty
PostSubject: Re: A day in the life   A day in the life EmptySat May 28, 2016 2:07 pm

The black male arched a brow, glancing towards both girls as he considered the situation. For now, they seemed fairly content to continue the conversation without him, which was fine, but finding out that he was in front of a cafe, and that the youngster was buying him some coffee suddenly made him feel even more embarrassed as before, as he really didn't like to have other people pay for him; a fact that was evident, given the fact that he never asked his rich friend for money. However, what bothered him the most was how the kid seemed to say that they were with someone who offered to buy him a cup, much to his dismay, which made him wonder why exactly she was left outside alone if, indeed, she was with someone, and how they even knew about it. Maybe this kid was wearing some kind of hidden speaker or something? Arching a brow, he tried to figure out where they other two people with the girl were, but if they were ok with footing the bill for what he wanted, it was likely that they didn't consider him a threat.

Good, he didn't need that sort of misunderstanding.

"Yea, sure, kid. Where are they? I wouldn't mind tellin' 'em thanks," he said, casually and with a slight smile, before looking towards the woman who, apparently, was in a hurry. "Uhh...what?" he said, then, casually as he attempted to make eye contact. "Wait, yea, yea, right. Nah, I meant, like, foreign to this place; it's real unfamiliar to me, considerin' I'm from the country....cities are real strange to me, y'know?" he said then, carefully, as his eyes seemed to knit themselves in his confusion. Clearing his throat, he looked around, before offering the bubbly girl a sideways glance. "Umm...so...you mean to tell me that this isn't Japan?" he said then, carefully, as he began to look around; true enough, there weren't really enough Japanese to warrant that being the case, but he just figured that, this time of year, it was some sort of tourist season; him and his friend had moved into little tokyo, and, based on what he knew about the guy, he figured they'd actually gone to the big T.

He thought on this a bit, before shaking his head slowly. "...Nah, don't answer that. I'm an idiot," he said, a little grudgingly, before taking a seat, and immediately leaning back in it, glancing at the two girls with mild interest. "So! Since I managed to find myself roped into this...let's do some introductions, yea? The name's Michael. I don't recall getting you guys' names.."

PostSubject: Re: A day in the life   A day in the life EmptySat May 28, 2016 2:49 pm

Trinity looked at the two as they joined her and nodded to the woman's question about if spending a bit of time sitting and talking would do any harm, she then went on to comment about how coffee harmed her stomach, but then mentioning how espresso seemed to be fine for her. Trinity tilted her head to listen as the server brought out the coffee for the male and she looked at the Girl who was currently going on about Coffee and she waited for her to finish before she interjected "We don't drink coffee ether...we drink tea, it's more soothing, and doesn't have the same bitter taste that coffee tends to have, But we do understand that others have their preference" with that the male finally joined them and made mention on a few things that had Trinity tilt her head once more as she considered what he said as he joined

"They are here with us now, they know you say thank you, if you wish to use some sugar or sweetener go ahead we have enough here for the three of us if needed" she gently picked up a few cookies and placed it next to his cup but far enough away from it that they were not in the way, she then moved a few cookies over to the side of the table the woman was on, making sure the cookies where in a neat stack for the two of them, she then nibbled on the edge of the cookie she was holding as she listened to the man talk He seemed confused on some things but other wise he seemed the friendly sort, and that was fine as well.

After he introduced himself Trinity popped the edge of the cookie out of her mouth as she replied herself, "We are Nola, it is nice to meet the two of you, and don't worry about the drinks or confections, We do not mind paying for everyone, We are the ones that invited the both of you after all" she said in her monotone and her expressionless gaze moved from one to the other as she talked, before she popped the edge of the cookie back into her mouth and she stirred some honey into her tea, as she waited for the other woman to introduce herself then remembered that she was going to show the woman to the walmart she wanted to get to and wondered if the man would accompany them?

A day in the life Empty
PostSubject: Re: A day in the life   A day in the life EmptySat May 28, 2016 10:58 pm

A country boy? That's neat! Brittany herself never had too much contact with the country side of the city, but she could understand how the inexperience with a different environment could drive someone confused. "Aw, you're new to the city then? Don't worry, you'll get the hang of it in no time! Actually, it's, like, a good thing you run into me, I know all the hot spots here in Endymion in case you need a tour guide", she snapped the fingers, feeling confident about her urban knowledge to the most popular and interesting areas. "You want a club? I know the best ones! Want hot springs? I know where! The movie theater? Yep, I know! TV studio? Guess what, I know! The only thing I'm yet to know about Endymion is the Walmart's address", she laughed wholeheartedly at her own humorous remark. It'd be ironic if she volunteered to be a guide, yet lacking knowledge about the basics of an everyday life. That's a consequence for leaving everything to the technology/internet commodity. "Of course this is not Japan, silly! Though there's a district named Little Tokyo, I've been there a few times, once to go to a bakery. It's so cute there, the houses are so small and...like, japanese-looking! If you're into japanese stuff, you know, anime, manga and otaku stuff, you're totally gonna love it! Like, totally! Though mind if I make a comment? You don't look otaku!'

Once she was done talking, her thin, long fingers grabbed one cookie the girl named Nola offered to her, to which Brittany responded with a smiling "thank you", before bringing the sweet to her teeth with as much politeness as she could. All because she wanted to cause a good impression to a stranger who had been so kind to volunteer in leading her to the supermarket. After being dismissed by a number of not as friendly passers-by, someone willing to behave oppositely is as welcome as a free snack. She wasn't the one to take advantage on others, but Nola offered the cookie. Brittany liked to eat (a lot), even though she barely eats on a regular basis, and she likes cookies, so why not, right? And while her former self was cheerful about the meeting and the small talks, something made her a little bit of...wary, to the point she shifted looks from the young girl to Michael, in some sort of...confusion. Clearly, it was a girl talking, that much she could identify once Nola opened her mouth and her prepubescent, feminine voice came out. However, she couldn't poke a finger on what exactly she meant by referring to herself as "we". Even someone as easily distracted as Brittany could note the strangeness about this habit, and understand the little quirks about this stranger she had just met. The girl had her silent assumptions, and could recall watching some informative broadcast about it in the rarest times she stopped by to turn her television on, and while back then she sort of felt interested or amused. Was Nola one of them...? "...Er, it's sooo kind of you, like, totally kind, but...I have to ask you something. When you say "we"...who're talking about exactly? Is there someone else you'd like to introduce to us or.." She paused a bit to finish eating the cookie before going on with the simple thought process. "...is it a spirit you're talking about? Are you one of...hm...what was the name I heard them using on tv... Oh, right! Are you a medium?" Probably not something you should ask on a first meeting. Consequences of having triggered the curiosity of someone who's generally not afraid to ask questions or approach certain topics normal people would refrain from speaking about without some modesty or shame.

A day in the life Empty
PostSubject: Re: A day in the life   A day in the life EmptySat May 28, 2016 11:44 pm

"Here with you now, huh?" Michael questioned, albeit rhetorically, crossing his arms as he really looked at what he assumed as a small girl now. The voice fit, but she seemed to recognize herself as being more than a single individual, much to his immediate eye squinting. He knew these types, the sort that had multiple personalities, and, while he was aware of the psychological disorders existence, that certainly didn't keep him from feeling just a bit on edge; it was really hard to read someone who did not have a single, discernible personality, and that made him all the more distrusting; for all he knew, hidden within this kid's psyche was some sort of depraved murderer. His gaze shifted to the other woman after the admittance on the girl's part, and they seemed to exchange and equal amount of uncertainty and confusion, ending with hims shaking his head and shrugging his shoulders, making it clear that he wasn't exactly sure how to handle it himself.

If not for the fact that both of then had actually decided to talk to him, he probably would have remained silent, though, after waiting so long, he had to eventually give a response to each statement. "Yeaaa....uhhhh....cool. Thank you...very much..." he said, then, with little regard for how nervous he sounded. He reached across the table, taking some sweetener for himself, though not even bothering to pay attention to the coffee set out before him, before adding the contents of the three sugars and the one cream that managed to come with the cup, which was only really lukewarm, after all the time it was let sit; he imagined that he had, perhaps, waited a bit too late, though the cup was still warm enough to enjoy. Taking a sip and feeling revitalized for what was to come, he smiled, before nodding at the small girl again. "Not a bad cup, that...and, uh...pleased to meet you too..." he said, then, less nervous than before, but a bit more tentative.

His eyes narrowed as he thought about the older girl's words, and he ended up chuckling, shaking his head slowly. "Sure, I may just take you up on a tour, after all, sure," he said then, before making eye contact again out of respect, and continuing. "Nah. See, I live in Little Tokyo. A friend of mine got a place there, and I'm currently crashing there with him. He's...uhhh...the weab here, so I kinda assumed, with all his cash, he actually opted to live in the big J, y'know...?" he said then, with a friendly smile as he let loose another, heartier chuckle, before shaking his head. "But...a medium? I think you read too much of that manga, girl... Like...I mean..." he leaned closer, turning his voice into a whisper. "It's like multiple personality disorder or somethin', y'know?" he stated simply, before turning towards the little girl and offering a shaky smile.

The older girl talked a lot, a fact that didn't escape Trinity, but she didn't mind, it was a good counter point to herself who talked little, and to the man who seemed to be in the mid ground, dead air was usually something that caused people to completely stop talking since they couldn't think of topics, However this woman seemed to be able to jump from topic to topic that it hardly left any room to interject, Coupled with the fact that she seemed to like answering her own questions in a fashion it was interesting to listen to her, and her speech quirk was rather interesting. Was she comparing everything to something else? a Simile fan? it was hard to gauge since she only just met the woman but her more advanced years made that probability a likely one.

Then the conversation seemed to change to her from the topic of the locations that the woman seemed to know, and she looked t the woman while she nibbled on the edge of a cookie, listening to her question and tilting her head to the side, was she a medium? she assumed she meant the type rumored to talk to spirits as the other definitions didn't really fit the way she asked and she sat there for a moment, before she could give her answer however the other guest, the one named Michael, seemed to answer the question given to him, or rather the questions and statements before he leaned in and whispered something to the currently unnamed woman.

Trinity tilted her head once more as she looked at them with her expressionless face and continued to nibble on the cookie as she waited for the exchange to finish, and once it had she replied to the woman's question "We do not talk to spirits, Nola simply talks like this at all times, it's how she has always talked for the longest time, We are sorry if it is confusing, but may we ask what your name is miss?' she asked the woman who had yet to introduce herself, or perhaps she had and Trinity had missed it? she wasn't sure which is why she requested the woman's name

A day in the life Empty
PostSubject: Re: A day in the life   A day in the life EmptySun May 29, 2016 12:53 pm

Once Michael mentioned living in Little Tokyo himself, Brittany's jaw dropped as if she wasn't really expecting for the revelation to come. In fact, she always taught of the place as a stronghold for asian fellows, or asian-descendant people. Michael himself was an african-american individual... Then again, she had met a bakery owner who had more caucasian, european traits than the regular former facial characteristics from Asia. Perhaps, it's simply a neighborhood open to all kinds of people to live in if they enjoy the japanese environment that much? Either way, she payed not much mind to such details. "No! Way! Do you like it there? I love it here, Vista Square is just my cup of tea! But Little Tokyo is such a lovely place to visit I sometimes consider moving out!", she said, taking the liberty to pick another cookie for herself once the first was dead and done. Before she could lay her teeth on it, however, Michael seemed to explain the eccentricity in Nola's behavior in a way she had not expected. Not at all.

"Wait, multiple disorder, as in, like many souls living on the same body? Is that real? Actually, I always thought this was, like, something from a movie, or television stuff. Like, the kind of thing you always think that'll never happen to you, or that doesn't occur next to you, right?" She sounded both creeped out ad the revelation, but oddly, equally interested and amused, sort of. This was indeed TV material, but Brittany knew better than to be impolite and name someone worth of a bizarre TV show. She could indeed be a bit careless and spontaneous, too much for her own good, but she also had a degree of manners. In any way, Nola was a kid, and Brittany definitely wouldn't chastise her for her little quirks.

"Oopsie, I forgot to introduce myself! Sorry! My name is Brittany. Nice to meet you...as many of you are there!", she answered simply, with a lighthearted chuckle. The whole disorder issue was sort of weird as creepy as far as the meaning of both words go, but all in all Nola was a good-hearted person. At least she wasn't a dangerous sicko!

A day in the life Empty
PostSubject: Re: A day in the life   A day in the life EmptySun May 29, 2016 6:19 pm

Michael offered a shrug to the older girl, sighing to himself as he raised his left hand to rub the back of his head. "Eh...it's alright, I guess. Really wasn't my idea to move there and, for the longest time, I pretty much thought I was in Japan, y'know? It's...different, to put it simply, but I still kinda prefer less hustle and bustle, I guess..." He said, casually yet with some obvious level of discomfort, not really feeling up to explaining the rest of his issue with it; him and his friend were best buds, sure, but, if it were his decision, he'd be living on a farm somewhere nice and quiet, rather than in a place so hyped up on asian culture; especially one in the big city. The only reason he didn't really get into that with his friend was, really, the fact that he didn't want to make the guy feel bad about the decision or anything; he'd get his own job and move out soon enough, anyway, probably in a quieter neighborhood.

He offered her a weak smile.

That wasn't at all what he'd meant, but he didn't exactly want to go into an entire thing about it, especially when all of this was no doubt something very important to the little girl; he was certain she was often bothered by the fact that she spoke and acted in the way she did, and could only imagine the problems she might have had with her parents and other children. A hard life, he thought, but nothing that was really his business. "Sure, yea, that's it," he said, then, somewhat offhandedly as he yawned to himself, nodding at this girl--Brittany--and smiled genuinely this time around. "Fun. Nice to meet you, Brittany. Uhh...do you go by anything else? 'Cause, honestly, saying your whole name sounds like a chore..." he said casually, half jokingly as he chuckled after saying his piece. "...Friends call me Mike, by the way, in case you were wondering," he said, giving her an option to use a more friendly name; he always thought his whole name sounded far too business-like.

Then again, to him, saying someone's whole name always sounded too formal.

"And nice to meet you too, Nola," he said to the girl, yawning as he finished his cup and set it on the table hard, making it clear that he was indeed done; he even wiped his mouth casually, removing the imaginary stain. "...Anyways, when you guys feel up to heading to wally world, I'm pretty ready to head out," he said then, deciding that maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea to accompany the two; he still wasn't entirely certain of the little girl's mental state, despite how harmless she looked, and, honestly, he was the type of guy to make it clear that he at least tried to be a gentleman; allowing a young girl and a young woman to stumble around the large city streets somehow left a bad taste in his mouth. Besides... "It wouldn't be so bad to, uh, see where the place is myself; besides, I can think of a few reasons I'd need to go there myself, and maybe Brittany can show me a few sights on the way, yea?"

A day in the life Empty
PostSubject: Re: A day in the life   A day in the life EmptySun May 29, 2016 6:39 pm

Trinity watched as the two had a rather comfortable conversation about apparently her, and Michael seemed far more comfortable talking to Brittany then he had been when addressing her, maybe it was due to the fact that the two of them seemed to be in the same age range? or maybe the boy found the older girl attractive? Ether way as long as her companions seemed to be happy she was fine, Though hearing her talked about was a bit disconcerting, After all she was sitting right there as they basically discussed her not three feet away from her. But in the end she left it at that simply because it seemed to get the two talking, And after a time Michael returned to addressing her for a moment before finishing off his coffee, And as she had finished her cup of tea she nodded a bit and grabbed the remains of the cookies, about five of them to be exact, not counting the ones she had left for Brittany.

She then looked at the bill and waved a server over and paid the amount, easily leaving a 25% tip for the girl before looking to the other two and nodding once more "If you are ready to go, we can show you to the Walmart now, it's not to far away and we know it's location quite well" she asked and informed the two with her monotone voice and her expressionless gaze going from one to the other as she stood and waited for them, honestly she was glad she could help the two of them out, at the same time it seemed, but Michael made it quite clear that he was looking to see other places with Brittany, whether Trinity was included in that by her tagging along, was not mentioned.

As she pushed her chair in and got ready to leave she looked at the two once more and tilted her head as she listed the things she knew of them in her head, and upon getting a better look at Brittany she was sure she had seen her before. Then it clicked and she recognized the girl, she had been in a few magazines, with that figured out Trinity only nodded a bit, not mentioning it since she assumed Brittany would have mentioned it herself if she had wanted it to be brought up.

So, Michael was feeling lazy to call her Brittany? Figures. The thought of it makes her laugh everytime, but she could understand why a nickname would be easier to pronounce and less tiresome. "Brit is fine. I guess it's easier? Bee too, pick your choice, Mr. Mike. Has someone already said "Michael" sounds far too business-like? 'Cause it totally sounds business-like!" She could indeed picture Michael as a business man into social shirt, suit, dress pants, everything perfectly trimmed.

All in all, Brittany could stay for a little while and chat more, but Nola herself (or themselves? Brit hardly would feel used to it anytime soon) and Michael seemed to be in a hurry. Actually, not exactly in a hurry; it was more like they apparently had nothing extra to do at the café, oddly. Hasn't Mike said he was in search for a place to take coffee or something right from the start? "Alright then! Thanks for the cookies, they were great." Wilson stood up in a cheerful mood, ready to depart. "Good thing you decided to let me show you stuff around. I'm the go-to girl when it comes to knowing the city, you totally won't be disappointed! But you do strike me as a bit of a quiet shy guy, not sure if my tastes for hot spots will fit yours!" She gave him a mischievous giggle before clapping her hands together. "Shall we move on? My housewife life is waitiiing!~"
