Updated: 20/07/2020

**ALERT!** After a rather eventful evening at Maksim's Party, three teenagers seems to have gone missing. The doors of Vault Olympia have been breached due to a to this day unknown assailant, who sabotaged the doors locking systems, allowing demons to make entry. Thanks to the excellent defensive capabilities of the Vault's Security drones, the Attack was put to an end, and the invading monsters fled to the outside. Right now, the Doors of Vault Olympia are currently open, allowing any survivors of the fall to seek shelter within the Vault's safe halls. What Vault Security officials think of this development remains unclear as the Chief of Police and Security of Olympia refused to leave a comment. This is Rianara, of Olympia news, signing out.

The site is entering a new era as our team of mods works tirelessly on updating old and obsolete information threads and links. Over the Summer, we aim to make many changes to the forum, including writing a comprehensive beginners' guide to help new players accommodate to the combat and other rp systems in place here.

PostSubject: Re: The Collapse (Azores 2 Prologue)   The Collapse (Azores 2 Prologue) - Page 5 EmptyThu Mar 31, 2016 5:27 pm

Claire shook her head as she eyed the current front runner of the group. As she watched the some what stoic swordsmen draw his rather ornate blade, she felt a clash of emotions and ideals. On the one hand she understood his haste. He wanted  to end this as quickly as possible and get on with all of their lives. This made a good bit of sense to the silent woman. Though there was the nagging thought in the back of her mind that perhaps that was not the best plan of action given the current state of the group. The rest seemed fairly content with taking a slow, leisurely approach to the task at hand, ensuring the group stay together and not break under the strain of  separation. To this end she was silently glad for her sudden bout of nausea that had rendered her unable to bolt from the door at first opportunity. It had given the rest of the group time to  catch up to where she was and strengthen their position in the chance of an attack.

The samurai, however, did not seem to see this benefit, seeing as how he bolted even further from the group instead of waiting for us to catch up. Even more, he had moved to engage at the recommendation of who was quickly turning into the leader of the group. This in and of itself was not a quote unquote, BAD move, in fact in most situations it is the one she herself would have made, however in this particular setting the idea of breaking off from the group and engaging a pack of demons made her... Uneasy. Perhaps it was the atmosphere or the very nature of their work that had unsettled her, regardless, whatever was causing this feeling was to strong to ignore, and urged her to stay with the group.

Though that left what to do with the swordsmen who had engaged... Though he was more then capable of handing himself in combat, she knew for a fact that if left to the ravenous maws of whatever abomination he was to face he would not survive for long. It was also beyond obvious that should she take the same pace the group had been, they would not make it in time. As such her course of action was set.

She just hoped the rest of the group would fallow suit.

Irina smiled proudly at Milan and nodded assuredly. He appeared to be one of her most trusted allies, currently, and that served them well. She didn't enjoy saying things more than once, after all.

"I'll assist you as best I can. Don't worry, I'll be right behind you." The Shadow first waited for the swordsman to finish his charge before she started her own, since, as her feet moved, they began to quickly float a bit into the air as a bright flash engulfed her body and she changed shape, becoming the pink-colored humanoid she was before. This True Self called for her falchion and held it clear in one hand as she stood just a bit behind Milan, ready to give her assistance.

Of course, when it came to the demons, there were those who were opposed, as Adyina made it quite clear he wasn't very keen on this plan. Nevertheless, she didn't seem to care that much. Claire was the next to follow the plan, which satisfied her, and as such, the Shadow shot the Forgotten a very clear thumbs up in approval.

"Be careful, we may not be as lucky with these ones. Try and negotiate a cease-fire with them first and foremost, see if we can avoid fighting. The faster we get through them, the faster we get to the Core." Irina spoke loud enough for everyone to be able to hear her, even those that were farther back. The demons had their fangs and claws bare at all times, right? So their weapons shouldn't make a difference, right?

Tamara followed, though when she saw the single Demon that stood in their path, the nun nodded. Without a single word, she began to walk ahead of the group, the demon electing not to stop her like the previous one did. She completely went on ahead, though she gave a look to the group, and nodded her head forward, before continuing on. Why would she do that all of a sudden? And why would the other Demon let her? Was it just because they were kin? It was never so simple with Tamara, and something like that always was unsettling, to be able to communicate with demons but give little regard for the rest.

Milan frowned as he noticed the nun passing through without so much of a scratch. It was a fact that wasn't comfortable with him, but she was someone trusted by their leader. Her moving on only prompted Milan to endeavor to make this fight a short one.

Irina raised an eyebrow at what had just transpired. Where was Tamara going..? Though, there was no time to wonder those things. Instead, she simply lunged forward towards battle.

Upon the Persona User's command, Futsunushi would finish off the demon known as Xi Wangmu. Despite the number of floating blades behind him, the near-forgotten god would swing a deadly combo of strikes. Punches and kicks would pummel the unfortunate demon near endlessly. By the time he was done, the bleeding pulp that used to be a whole demon was now incapacitated. Milan swung his blade to the side in the chiburi-like fashion similar to the previous conflict. He never got to really use it on Xi Wangmu, but as usual, it was the practice and discipline ingrained into him. During this sheathing motion, Futsunushi also disappeared within the crevices of his soul.

Milan had noticed earlier that Tamara was going somewhere on her own than the desired place that was to be decided. He certainly wished that at least the demon would have stopped to explain why she was going there. The swordsman Persona User was unsure whether to follow or not. He looked back at Irina for any indication if they should or not. But time was of the essence, as mentioned multiple times before. They cannot simply waste any time they had left now. All these uncertainties made him feel ever vulnerable, but he never let his serene face show it.

The Collapse (Azores 2 Prologue) - Page 5 Frame2-2

"It maybe in our interest to follow her. It appears that she has a different idea.”

His footsteps started to clack loudly against the floor to follow after the demon nun. It should go without saying that Tamara seemed very suspicious right now. Could it be that she was this potential traitor? If Milan thought she was, he never voiced it. Even if he did, he would not voice it so flippantly in the middle of this unstable and ominous state of affairs. This was how disunity started and that never led to good things. Out of everything right now, that was the last thing they needed. However, how long would their teamwork last, Milan would wonder. Sooner or later, someone in this group was going to voice their suspicions about Tamara and even possibly Milan. However, he failed to care about any suspicions pinned on him. Actions spoke louder than words, so he will act accordingly. Whether or not people followed him or not, Milan continued onward after her. Someone had to keep an eye on her after all. Out of everyone, it might as well be him.

How sad, the demon fell before Claire could get a shot at it. She stared at the spot where it's body lay and cocked her head to the side. Was this truly what these creatures wanted out of their lives? Were they content to live and die by our hands and to guard what they most likely could not begin to comprehend? Perhaps she was thinking to far into this but they had to have aspirations, wants and desires, perhaps even friendships between one another. Maybe that was something they had that this group did not. It was obvious that a good portion of us didn't truly know one form another in this group, and what friendships and companionships did exist were tenuous at best. Who's to say the demons didn't understand these simple and often unstressed facets of what made something "sentient"? Perhaps the demons understood it on a level we could never truly comprehend. Though those thoughts would prove dangerous as they continued their mission and, frankly, served no purpose. As such Claire did her best to push them from her head and continue on forward.

However after her long and complicated inner monologue, Claire took note of the sudden disappearance of one of the group... Tamara had gone off on their own for some reason that was all but lost on seemingly everyone in the group, including Claire. What was it with people running off on their own like this? First the samurai then Tamara. Why were we all so eager to finish this task. Was everyone so ready to just move on and perhaps not see one another again? Typical. Though to be fair she did want to see what was the cause of the core's damage as well, and no time like the present as they always say.

Claire would silently fallow behind the two who so quickly charged ahead, trying to stay in the middle of the pack, her blood lust long sense tapered off by the lack of true combat on her part. By the time she finished her buffing the combats were normally just about over. Though she supposed this wasn't a BAD thing, this meant she could keep herself fresh and ready for whatever awaited them in the core. Plus it kept her from getting to sweaty... Her hoodie tended to absorb sweat and smell really funny for weeks on end after her missions...
