Updated: 20/07/2020

**ALERT!** After a rather eventful evening at Maksim's Party, three teenagers seems to have gone missing. The doors of Vault Olympia have been breached due to a to this day unknown assailant, who sabotaged the doors locking systems, allowing demons to make entry. Thanks to the excellent defensive capabilities of the Vault's Security drones, the Attack was put to an end, and the invading monsters fled to the outside. Right now, the Doors of Vault Olympia are currently open, allowing any survivors of the fall to seek shelter within the Vault's safe halls. What Vault Security officials think of this development remains unclear as the Chief of Police and Security of Olympia refused to leave a comment. This is Rianara, of Olympia news, signing out.

The site is entering a new era as our team of mods works tirelessly on updating old and obsolete information threads and links. Over the Summer, we aim to make many changes to the forum, including writing a comprehensive beginners' guide to help new players accommodate to the combat and other rp systems in place here.

When they walked into the room, the area inside seemed to be a little darkened, with a strange bright light in the middle. The light was coming from what appeared to be a platform that didn't look harmful. Wonder what would happen if they got near it? Could it hurt to try?

"It looks like to get to the center, we're going to have to use these platforms somehow. Because I can't really see a straight forward path to our destination."

"Hey don't be so uptight, everyone needs a few lighthearted comments to face stressing situations like this one" Eva replied to Irina, though after a short consideration he realized that she could be right. Perhaps he should focus more and stop teasing his teammates that much. "Fine I'll try to be less offensive if that pleases you. Just don't start begging for jokes when this is over, kay?" He added pretending to be hurt by her words while walking straight ahead with his nose held high.

When the group reached the first room he stopped staring at the light. "I don't know about the rest of you but this seem way too suspicious... any suggestions on our course of action?'

Irina's smirk grew two sizes that day, when she finally heard Eva comply. The Shadow only nodded, though, not deeming this worthy enough of further discussion.

Once she finally reached the room, though, the green-haired woman stopped after taking a step forward in front of everyone else.

"Interesting... I believe we won't make progress without a bit of risk-taking. Everyone, stand back, I'll make sure this glowing platform is safe." Irina took a deep breath after saying this and walked up to the platform. If it didn't do anything to her first, she'd crouch down and extend her body quickly, like a spring, to jump up onto it. Hopefully this didn't come back to bite them.

When everyone stepped in, they would find themselves at another room, on another platform. It appeared they had changed locations. The Core was closer, but they would now have to contend with finding the right path to it...

"I get it now, those platforms teleport us all around, so we must find the right one to bring us to the core. This will be a challenge, but we should hurry nonetheless."

Milan would enter the portal after the rest of his fellow allies. Upon entering this portal, it clearly moved them to some other place. However, the Core wasn't here with them right now. This easily indicated that they needed to find other such portals to get to their desired destination. This was definitely beginning to feel like this was more trouble than it was worth.

The Collapse (Azores 2 Prologue) - Page 4 Giphy

"This will prove to be an obstacle."

He scanned around the area, trying to make sense of where they are. Though did it really matter? They had no means to figuring out which portals could lead them to the Core. Yes, they could take the time to understand the pattern. But time was dwindling the more they dawdled, the more likely something horrible might happen. So it was time to move on and try to keep progressing and hoping that they would finally be able to get through. Just simply staying and musing over this puzzle was not in anyone's best interest right now. The only answer they had right now was to move. Milan, nevertheless, would start leaving the room with the rest of his allies.

As he got considerably farther than the others, it looked like someone or something was lurking around ahead in one of the three paths that offered themselves to his party. To think they would have to make a decision so soon. He would just wait and watch for the rest of his comrades to keep up and catch up with him. Three was the number of paths they could take here. But with something in the way of the middle, it likely ticks down their choices down to two if the rest of the Party wished to avoid conflict.

Milan looked back at his allies and spoke to them in a low tone to avoid detection from the enemy up ahead.

"I suggest we avoid combat to save time. Which way are we to go?"

He waited for their answer. For some of them, they may believe the path the enemy was blocking was the actual way. But who knows if that was true? Either way, they needed to make a decision soon. Whatever was happening at the Core, it was not going to wait for them at all.

Claire blinked twice at the sudden shift in scenery. Teleportation... That was a new one... Had she had anything in her stomach she probably would have lost it right about now. Crossing through dimensions always did this to her, and so did teliportation apparently. After attempting to keep pace with the swordsman, she felt something pull her to her knees. Yep... Need a moment. She would just... Wait here for a sec... Urp... ugh...

She was perhaps too satisfied with her discovery, as her grin stretched into a smug smirk. It felt good to take initiative, even just once in a while... and while she'd normally be at the helm of the group, the role was starting to be a lot better suited to someone else right now, and Irina was surprisingly okay with that.

"I'm not sure, Milan, those demons up ahead seem to be guarding something. I'd call it woman's intuition, but I believe the pathway behind them should be the right way to go." She crossed her arms as she walked forward, then nodded lightly. It was up to the group where to go, but she personally recommended powering through their enemy this once, simply to see if it was truly the right way.

"I guess the demons must be guarding something important." Eva commented. "They seem way too eager to die in order to keep us away, I don't know about you but I wouldn't fight with such vigor unless I had to hide, or protect, something way too important." At that point a grin appeared on Eva's face. "Plus they stand no chance against us. Did you see how easily we kicked their ass in the previous battle? I'm sure we can keep this up."

"I vote we go to the right this time, it's farther from the core so it might lead us closer. But maybe if we fight the enemy and go to the one behind it, we'll reach the core faster too. I have enough sustain for us to continue moving and not lose energy like crazy. So maybe combat is best for all of us."

PostSubject: Re: The Collapse (Azores 2 Prologue)   The Collapse (Azores 2 Prologue) - Page 4 EmptyWed Mar 30, 2016 9:58 pm

Milan pushed up his glasses with a finger after he nodded at Irina.

"I understand. Please support me. The sooner we get through this, the better. Let us not dally here.”

It seemed that the team leader wished to confront the enemy in front of them. Milan never wanted to waste more time fighting these things. However, what she said about them guarding something had some merit to it. Maybe they were guarding something? If that was the case, what was it? Could they actually be guarding The Core? Those are questions that warranted an answer. Additionally, if they were guarding the Core, perhaps something or someone was there probably causing these fluctuations. The thought of it caused Milan to steel his resolve even more and even prompted him to make their travel to the Core as efficient and as quickly as possible. However, such a thing would depend on the reality, would he and his team be lucky enough for this? The thoughts about a possible traitor was nearly non-existent from his mind, he couldn't afford to think about it for now.

As for the demons, it would probably take a while to dispatch them, but perhaps not too long as he still would have the support of his other teammates. They were strong, no doubt. Milan spied over to where his enemies would be. But the distance would complicate his ability to gauge them accurately. He rose from his position with his hand resting on his soulbound katana's hilt. There was an ominous glare in his glasses as he started to approach the demons with each step.

The Collapse (Azores 2 Prologue) - Page 4 Giphy

No doubt the demons would notice him as he gait started to speed up into a running, yet controlled, sprint towards them. His blade would start unsheathing with each advancing step without making a noticeable screeching sound which would serve as a testament of his control. From his right, an azure plume heralded the return of his persona, Futsunushi, with its floating blades ready to sink into enemy flesh as they fanned about behind it.

With his blade completely unsheathed and his Persona available to him, Milan was absolutely ready to take on the living obstructions before him. He could probably take them on without too much trouble, but he would likely need the assistance of his fellow teammates to make quick work of them. Hopefully they will catch up soon and simply not leave him alone for too long.
