Current Events
Updated: 20/07/2020

**ALERT!** After a rather eventful evening at Maksim's Party, three teenagers seems to have gone missing. The doors of Vault Olympia have been breached due to a to this day unknown assailant, who sabotaged the doors locking systems, allowing demons to make entry. Thanks to the excellent defensive capabilities of the Vault's Security drones, the Attack was put to an end, and the invading monsters fled to the outside. Right now, the Doors of Vault Olympia are currently open, allowing any survivors of the fall to seek shelter within the Vault's safe halls. What Vault Security officials think of this development remains unclear as the Chief of Police and Security of Olympia refused to leave a comment. This is Rianara, of Olympia news, signing out.

The site is entering a new era as our team of mods works tirelessly on updating old and obsolete information threads and links. Over the Summer, we aim to make many changes to the forum, including writing a comprehensive beginners' guide to help new players accommodate to the combat and other rp systems in place here.

Be sure to constantly check the update thread for any changes to the boards. You can find it ->Here<-

The Collapse (Azores 2 Prologue) Empty
PostSubject: The Collapse (Azores 2 Prologue)   The Collapse (Azores 2 Prologue) EmptyFri Feb 05, 2016 2:48 am

A week before now...

The Collapse (Azores 2 Prologue) Golden10

In a strange plane populated mostly by golden orbs and walkways that came in nearly all shapes and sizes, a group of six began walking down one of the paths before it ended in a fork. They all seemed to take a last minute to look at one another. Several of them were still a bit unsure about this, but they did know however that all of them could fight, and they could protect one another if they need be; or at least so they had to trust. Several of them have been together for some time, while others are fairly new to the team. So it was safe to say this alliance was tenuous at the best, and explosive at worst. It wouldn't be surprising to see tension, and perhaps a breakdown, and yet, it would be equally shocking to see them work together. How it would go remains to be seen...

At the fork were the group, each strange in their own way.

The Collapse (Azores 2 Prologue) Tumblr_ny1ll73ciQ1s2w5q7o3_500

Irina. A bold and fearless woman. She's near brazen in a way, very quick to act without thinking, stubborn and ridiculous to a fault. Yet she herself has a loyalty to those she cares for that can never be broken. Who she cared for the most among the group was currently not here, so she felt like she was a campfire in rain, hot and unbending. "Hm...Are we going to keep traversing? It's far too late to decide if this is a good idea when we are already on our way to the Core." She said looking at the group, waiting for some kind of response. She frowned after a few seconds, apparently not satisfied with not getting an immediate response.

The Collapse (Azores 2 Prologue) Giphy

A sigh was heard, and red hair fluttered as the man looked at her. "I'm sure when we get there this will all be some huge misunderstanding. Don't be so uptight. Weird fluctuations happen at the Core all the time, I doubt this time it's any different." Eva Madella said as they looked ahead. They were a quiet type, curt when called for, and had the sharpest of tongues. He was indeed clever, but they will often say things that annoy others perhaps to the point of confrontation. Yet despite that, he has no qualms about upsetting the others through words if he feels he's right. He's a bit of a prick, but an honest and frank one. Though, he personally trusted the rest to at least go towards the Core. It was all of their responsibilities after all.

The Collapse (Azores 2 Prologue) Giphy

"Hm...." Milan Utamara let out as they stood near the back of the group. He has perhaps traveled the most out of them, and as such has a peaceful state of mind. He was particularly fond of the more asian cultures and blades he would find in some realms, so his last name was not his own; casting aside his old name for a new surname that he felt fit his first name. He is collected, however very precise. Yet he is rather indecisive, and will often go with the flow of others' decisions. He is more a follower than a leader, and would prefer to avoid conflict unless they have help. In a way he does not trust himself to succeed without something backing him. "We cannot simply let our guard down. If it turns out that the Core is affected, then everything we know will be at stake."

The Collapse (Azores 2 Prologue) Tumblr_m5hssihKPH1rynq3bo2_500

Claire Hawthorne nodded in agreement with Milan silently as they walked ahead the group, stopping at the fork near Irina. Much of the group knew what actually lied beneath that hood, but she herself kept it on, perhaps to stay hidden when on her job. Her strength was partly in her physical strength in that most did not question the enormity of it. Often however, their power came from a deceiving appearance beneath. A smile could be seen by the others, as she looked at the path in almost wonder. She saw this path often when travelling other realms, but it never lost that magic for her. She was desperate to see the good before the bad. Even with all of that, she was well more than confident in her strength, perhaps even overconfident. She spoke even less than Eva, but she knew when she was better, yet she did not know when to quit if she wasn't.

The Collapse (Azores 2 Prologue) Tumblr_m3cx92iXhW1qbr6b0o1_500

Adiyna Ukk smiled at the others. "Well, we will never know until we try. At this point, I'm ready to  just check it out and stop it if we can. The sooner we can do it the better. I trust you guys." The lively young boy was perhaps the youngest of the group, still in his middle teenage years. He is mature for his age, but he still manages to perhaps be the "life" of the party. He is the quickest to talk, and the slowest to stop. He could be considered a child even still, and no one would question his pleasant and happy nature. Though most would guess that behind it was something else entirely.

The Collapse (Azores 2 Prologue) Tumblr_n7nvjpwOPV1tf6qgyo1_500

"Are you foolish enough to trust everyone you meet?" Tamara said frankly like she knew she would strike a nerve. Tamara was hardly one to get along with. In fact, everyone knew she was powerful, and a Demon at that. Although, no one knew who Tamara "was". In fact, no one knew why she was selected to join their group. She was never the same person at first glance. She changed forms frequently, though she would always appear as a female nun in various forms. Everyone knew that behind that not-so-concealed persona was some kind of plan, and the creepiest part was trying to figure out what she was after. "Well then. Shall we move on? This anomaly may affect all worlds at this point, and we know where it will start if it is what we and the Master feel." She said. No one really referred to their recruiter as 'The Master' save for her; and it added on to the strange issues many had with Tamara. Nonetheless, she agreed to join them, though at the very least everyone else knew to watch her. She may have been chosen and had worked with them, but she was known to take some extreme methods to achieve her goals...

The group had their tensions, but they would have to decide their next plan soon or risk wasting time getting to the Source of the strange anomaly. They all knew that their Leader sent them, but even the six could feel that something was going wrong in the worlds around them. The boundaries and paths that separated and protected each worlds were faltering, and they had to learn why. With resolve in various forms resonating in them, the six set out to discover what would be the first motion that would begin the collapse of everything...

Adiyna took a step forward, looking towards the group and towards the fork in the path. "We should probably split up, it will make searching for it easier. I'll keep us all connected." With that the boy took his hands and ran it trough his hair, still smiling. "Just be cautious." He'd slowly start moving, not trying too hard to move fast. There was certainly a reason to run, but he would rather walk slowly and be cautions. The lot of them were here for a reason; to check up on the core. He did hope that there wasn't anything wrong, but no one could be quite sure if there was, that's why everyone was here to check up on it right? No matter, he made his way slowly, wanting to stay behind everyone but also still be close enough to help. He could fight, but he wasn't completely made for fighting, he still had some tricks that could help them all out in the long run. Splitting up was a good idea right now, especially since he could support them from anywhere and maintain contact. If anyone wanted to talk to each other, he left the contact line open, so it was easy for them to communicate back and forth without much trouble.

The Asian Summoner stood on the sidelines—bifocal lenses taking in the very sights before him. He donned himself in traditional Japanese attire, arms fully masked by the lengthy sleeves he wore. On his hip rested a sharp blade crafted by the most renowned swordsmith of this era. An indifferent glare fixated upon the youngest of the group, his suggestion sound and just given the squadrons current situation. The pale Asian man took slow strides forward, the traditional clogs placed on modest sized feet dragging behind him at the climax of each step. A firm grip wrapped around the hilt of the sword as his indifferent glare narrowed to perfectly reflect his mood. "By my blade." He'd whisper, standing directly beside the adolescent boy as they traversed deeper into the unknown.

"..."

To any who cared to take note Claire's Eyes began to glow below her hood... Those of the group that had travled with her before would know could mean one of two things. The first and much more likely of the two given the current situation was that she was excited. Despite what her smaller frame and frail appearance might say about the hooded woman, those in the group who knew her would fear the "switch" that seemed to coincide with the glowing of those eyes. A switch between silent observer and blood thirsty beast ready to beat anything deemed deserving into a pulpy pile of liquefied meat and shattered bone.

The eyes, however, could have also signified that she was merely hungry...

She would say nothing as she slowly walked, almost gliding, to match Adiyna, only pausing to momentarily lock eyes with Milan, as if to ask why he stopped.

PostSubject: Re: The Collapse (Azores 2 Prologue)   The Collapse (Azores 2 Prologue) EmptyMon Feb 08, 2016 9:03 pm

The woman dressed in nun garb would stay quiet for a moment, taking in the situation as a whole. This place was certainly odd, and even though the Master had hired this rag tag group to come here, the exact danger level the Core possessed was unknown. They were going in blindly even with their skill, if the Core was, say, corrupted, could they prevent it from doing more damage than they could withstand? Caution was necessary, if not crucial to the success of this mission. The Master would be most displeased if they were to fail.

"That seems beyond foolish." she'd say, looking towards Adiyna with a raised brow. Separating their forces seemed like an awful idea, especially if the core posed a significant threat. Strength came in numbers, not just individual force. With a light tap of her finger to her cheek, the girl would look ahead, glaring at the path as if it wronged her some how.

"A wiser course of action would be to continue forward as a team and work our way towards the core. If we were to split up, even with you connecting powers, who's to say you won't be felled by an angry beast? What then? The rest of your group may be felled and the rest of us lost to our own demise and despair." she said with a flick of her wrist, her hand poised to the side with the other propped on her hip. Foolishness got none of them anywhere. Regardless, if the team decided to split up, it wasn't as if she could oppose the entire team. She'd just remind all of them it was completely and utterly foolish constantly.

For the moment, she'd wait to see where the rest of the team went. If they did divide, she'd end up following the team that had the least members. If not, it was following Adiyna down his unsure path. Where would fate lead them? Hopefully not towards their deaths. The Master would be most displeased if they failed in this mission...

PostSubject: Re: The Collapse (Azores 2 Prologue)   The Collapse (Azores 2 Prologue) EmptyThu Feb 11, 2016 7:44 pm

The green-haired woman stepped forward in front of Adiyna with an annoyed yet pensive look. "I'm afraid I have to agree with Tamara here, what would be the point of splitting up now? Focusing our forces is simply the best idea." Irina didn't seem very willing to give up this view, as she spoke like many already knew she would; with confidence, perhaps one far too abundant for her own good. Yet, the woman took a moment to eye the group, then stared at the falchion in her hand.

"Any objections? If you all really want to split up, do as you wish. May we proceed, though?" Even still, she looked annoyed. Anxious, in a way, and eager to keep going even without them... but hell, she knew she wouldn't. Not after all this time. The Shadow let out a vague sigh and waited for everyone to make up their minds, then thought back on the situation...

Their objective was close, she could already feel the end of their journey ahead... so why couldn't they be here right now? Well, it wasn't truly important when compared to the entire reason they were here, at least.

The woman then glanced over at Claire and Milan, noting their stance on this... no opinions from them, huh? She figured only a few would care to discuss this. But, she then turned to the final member of their party with a light frown. "Eva, what's your stance on this? Do we split up, or do we keep going together?" Irina awaited for the rest of the group's opinions on this before they kept going. She wouldn't want to leave them behind now.

Eva lifted his shoulders clearly indifferent to his team little argument. "Perhaps dividing into groups would make us reach our destination faster but as mother Teresa over here suggested..." He said as he turned his attention to Tamara, that weird nun always gave him the creeps, if it wasn't for her formidable skills he would have insisted on leaving her behind. "There is strength in numbers but each one can pull their own weight... well expect you kiddo but you have to protect you." He patted Adiyna's head as he said that, he loved making up nicknames for his comrades, helped with bonding and remembering them.

"Therefore let's stop delaying and move forward. We have to reach to the core one way or another. Let's see what lies ahead and decide the course of actions afterwards, you know like responsible adults do!" He looked at his team realizing why his suggestions couldn't work, they were all a bunch of weirdos, and one of them wasn't even an actual adult. He giggled as if he had said a joke.

It was curious to see the team so far come in accordance with one another, considering that most of them knew why the others were incredibly tense. They all knew that a potential traitor was hidden among them, and though it may not be in the group they were in now, it existed within their organization. Perhaps had they not known that it would have been easier, for they used to be a fairly dysfunctional team but at the end of the day they worked together when need be. Now it was like spilling a glass on the floor and everyone wondering who did the spilling. They could see various bright lights in the sky as several of them began to travel, only they would soon see a few of them begin to blink out, as the large golden sphere ahead seemed to vibrate intensely. Whatever was going on inside seemed to resonate with the fading lights in the sky.

PostSubject: Re: The Collapse (Azores 2 Prologue)   The Collapse (Azores 2 Prologue) EmptySun Feb 14, 2016 7:59 am

The entire group was stopped by the woman, causing him to grow a bit annoyed. Though he quickly regained his composure, not wanting to be singled out for getting a bit to angry. Everyone gave their points, and he would wait until everyone was finished to speak. "I apologize for moving first without asking. I should have but I just wanted to move this along." He ran his hand through his hair, looking at the pathway. "You're right though, we should stick together. Besides, if any of us decide to go on a different path, at least there will be more of us to stop them, if you catch my drift." He smiled towards them all; of course he trusted them but you could never be sure with everything that had been going on with their organization. He hadn't even thought about something like that happening. This mission was too important to mess up on any of them, failure wasn't an option at this point. "Let's get moving then? No time to waste." He waited for someone else to start moving, going a different way this time than his original plan. Fighting these creatures first might make it easier for them all to reach their goals faster.

He noticed the lights in the sky, pointing to them so everyone else could see it. "Looks like things are going to be exciting~" He giggled slightly, feeling a bit playful even though this situation was serious. If no one had stopped him this time, he would move forward from the left position, attempting to surprise a group of enemies in front of his allies. It might be the best idea to go out of their way for the best results, seeing how to get to their destination. From first glance, it obviously wasn't a straight path to where they were going, so there was obviously some way to pass this place. He didn't really care about how they got there, as long as they could arrive and fix the problems that were happening. It was going to be easy once they got to it, as long as nothing went wrong. If there really was a traitor among them, he hoped they wouldn't pull anything on this mission. Of course he didn't have much feelings for these people, but this was an important event they were all about to embark on and having a sabotager would be the worst thing to him.

Claire would seemingly remain indifferent to the people's needless chat... Why did they talk so much? Claire's eyes glowed a brilliant yellow as she eyed her comrades... Each of them had a story their own. A series of events that lead them to where they are now, none of them where the same yet they all converged here. With a cock of the head she thought on this and how her own story would compare to theirs.

"Claire... Claire up ahead! I smell demons..." Claire's head perked as her arm shook with a curious rage. The yellow glow died for only a moment as she sat utterly motionless. "We should go check it out... I want to taste them... Please? Just go-

Without another word Claire bolted from the group and charged after the sent of demon flesh. Her arm shook with a dark rage as Epimetheus's influence overtook her mind. Thick rocks began to surge around her arm as her Soulbound took form.

"Claire... Please be careful!" She stopped short of the demons to listen to Epimetheus's sudden and frankly out of character warning. "What?.... I just... This is different then before... We... Just be careful"

Clair nodded and waited along side Aniyna for the demons to come.

PostSubject: Re: The Collapse (Azores 2 Prologue)   The Collapse (Azores 2 Prologue) EmptyWed Feb 17, 2016 4:57 pm

The bifocal lenses of The Bushido danced between each summoner as a pseudo-impasse loomed upon the group. Truth be told, The Swordsmen understood where both parties came from. Dispersing into groups and diving head first into the unknown could lead to equally unknown trouble that could result in decapitation by any of the nightmarish creatures that surly wander aimlessly awaiting their next unsuspecting victim. However, in that same regard, if they mobbed as one collective unit, who's to say the entire squad wouldn't be wiped in one fell swoop? What then? Who would continue on with the mission and thwart this festering evil? There were obvious disadvantages and advantages to both sides, but ultimately it was up to those with a voice to speak on it. Milan was an old spirit trapped in a young vessel. He was no stranger to the dangers presented to him now—he scoffed at the idea of death and embraced it in a sense. Whatever the group decided, by his blade, he'd press forward with the Bushido creed.

Slanted eyes titled towards the sky—the illuminating orbs gracing the sky catching his eyes fully. He clutched the hilt of the fabled blade as his gaze narrowed almost to a full-blink. Looking over towards Aniyna he simply gave a nod and followed the youth side-by-side. His clairvoyance would prove fruitful if things went south; or if they somehow lost contact with one another. Keeping the boy alive and kicking should be one of the groups highest priority, and The Samurai secretly hoped at least another member felt remotely the same.

Good good, the team would stick together. The nun dressed woman would simply walk forward and advance towards the core. She couldn't care less what the opposition said, the group had made a unanimous decision and that was that. Though, what the silent ones were thinking was beyond her, though, did she really care? As long as they stuck together, the traitor couldn't easily pick out the other members. He or she would have to fight the entire team and if they wished to do something to the core, they'd, again, have to fight the entire rest of the team. It didn't matter what these beasts were capable of, the chances of one being stronger than all of them was blissfully over cautious.

Plus, she knew of Aniyna's capabilities as well as her own. They could easily support the entire team and keep them safe. Regardless, she'd move forward and prepare for the coming battle.

"Tee hee~. I get seventy percent of the spoils, okaaaay~?" the Spoiled Angel said in her horribly teasing tone within her head. The pure snobbishness and self given authority she held was staggering, but the woman couldn't care less at this point. Greed could be quite the virtue in the long run... She approved of the fallen angel's wishes.
