Appearance: It would be easy to mistake Zal for a corpse or a ghost. His albinism and overall poor health give him an extremely pale complexion, with fairly gaunt features. His white hair is usually pushed back away from his face. To take advantage of his somewhat natural eerie appearance, Zal covers his naturally red eyes with bright yellow contacts, a habit from his days under the employ of Enydmion's government to psyche out other people. His sense of dress is casual, a jacket, a gray t-shirt, jeans, and trainers. His Jacket is black leather, 3/4 length with a cloth hood. He's rarely seen with a cigarette in his mouth and is fond of rolling his own, usually keeping tobacco and paper inside of his jacket as well as a lighter.
Alternate Appearance: Zal switches out his 3/4 length coat for a full length trenchcoat, still in black. In fact, his entire wardrobe become black, with a sturdy pair of leather boots replacing his shoes and an addition of a pair of black gloves. His mask isn't terribly complex, just a simple, white, full face mask with red streaks running down it starting at the corners of the eyes, running outside the nose and mouth, then reaching the bottom.
Personality: Zal isn't a particularly personable human being by any stretch of the imagination. His preferred activities are usually reading, video games on a handheld system, or drinking. Tactical RPGs and Strategy games make up most of what he plays. He's notably fond of dystopian science fiction in generally, but particularly the cyberpunk genre and its predecessors, enjoying authors such as Phillip K Dick, William Gibson, and Isaac Asimov. He generally prefers scotch (or at least, scotch style whisky) on the rocks, though has been known to drink cheap beer or mix some whisky with coffee (and maybe a scoop of vanilla ice cream). As for drinking, he prefers to do so in the comfort of his own home, not in noisy bars.
While he dislikes most people, Zal has particular disdain and vitriol for authority figures, or rather ones that interfere with him and his day to day life. He keeps his disdain bottled up and released in subtle actions and comments. His dislike of authority and a strong belief that he can only help people that want to be helped. Seeing as he sees people going about their lives happy, blissfully unaware of the city they live in as he's seen it, he's withdrawn from humanity. He feels an additional lack of control over his own life and feels as though the city is stagnated in its current state and him along with it.
Withdrawn as he is from society, he's something of a skilled home cook. The thing he's probably best at is desserts of various kinds, particularly french pastries. He frequently stays away from anything terribly spicy and dislikes spicy food overall.
