A walk by the gardens [moonie]

Walking along the path Trinity looked out at the gardens, normally she would be practicing one of her many requirements for her work as an idol, but she took some time off from the practice as she already finished with most of them earlier in the day, it was normal for the small girl to do such things when she wanted time to do things for herself, not that her parents minded much as long as she remembered to never go out in idol dress, which she never did, she much preferred her normal clothing. Today she had decided to look about the garden area, it was interesting a communal garden, she watched as some people tended their patch of the garden, and even seen some talking to the girl that worked there, they all had a reason to be there, even her despite how little what she was there for had to do with the garden itself.

Continuing to walk she found a nice bench and took a seat, taking her back pack off she set it on her lap and opened it up, taking out a bit of food she packed for herself, as well as her violin case, and a book in case she got bored just sitting and watching, though that was doubtful, she even had several bags of packed food just in case she as that hungry or out that long, it was her normal packing for when she went out, always having a little plan ahead of time but for the most part just taking her parents advice on what to take with her. they did worry about her long outings sometimes, but she at least did her practices and the like and did well in school.

Though it was later then normal, but some people where still tending to their gardens, probably due to having been at work or just not having the time to come earlier, so she sat and watched, it wasn't like the place was empty after all, people were walking about enjoying the evening, some just walking and enjoying the look of the place and the sight of the garden, which was rather nice to be honest, the sight of it was calming as it was a nice area of growth in the city, granted to see something even better one simply had to head out to the more rural area but this place was closer for people to get to and thus more visited.

and so she sat there watching people and gently taking bites out of her food.

If you were to tell anyone that you needed to find a bar run by a robot clown, a mad scientist, a space ranger and two animal-human hybrids, all of which survived a demon attack, you'd be called off-the-wall insane. Either that, or "Selenus". Despite the fact that Grins never gave him the location of the bar, it wasn't exactly hard to pick it apart from the other bars in the area. I mean, just look at its staff. That description of its owners that I made earlier was not the least bit exaggerated.

But as standoffish as the bar might be, Selenus would still have a hard time trying to locate it for one reason alone: He had been procrastinating. Again. He knew it had gotten worse over the last few months, but this much level of involuntary apathy was starting to become crippling. Even knowing this, Selenus did nothing much of it because... well, the whole involuntary apathy thing. Either way, Selenus now found himself continuing his overstayed relaxation break by strolling through the Sunlake Garden Path. The flowers and plants were always nice to look at, and the sound of birds did wonders for his mental state.

Eventually after a relatively long time of wandering around, Selenus spotted a young heterochromic girl sitting alone at a bench, eating a sandwich. Despite what he initially believed before interacting with people, children apparently were more attracted to him than afraid of him (If Zavie, Callie and that unnamed little girl from the R&D Park were any indication). Although it defeated the purpose of his physical design, he didn't really mind it. In fact, he enjoyed it.

Gathering as much will to work as he could (being backed by the fact that his work could potentially be cut short) Selenus walked up to the little girl in a calm and orderly fashion.

"Hey kid. I don't suppose you would happen to know where "Grin's Hole In The Wall" is, would you?"

As she sat there watching the people and the small animals wandering about Trinity spotted something rather odd, it was in the shadows though she had no clue what it was so she watched it a moment and it started to move, coming towards her in fact, and as it stepped into the light she seen it, and she only kept watching it. The only thing she could compare it to was a robot dog like the ones she read about in some of her books, the book she had in fact had a few chapters with a robot dog as a companion to the main protagonist. Watching it coming over to her she tilted her head a bit as it drew closer.

She studied it her eyes going over it's metallic body, the black coloring, the fact it had knives everywhere on it, it should have been intimidating, but the body language of the thing, what she could read anyway, mad it seem...lazy? Lethargic? ether way it didn't seem to present itself as dangerous, and the girl sat there watching it come up to her a little deeper intake and then release of breath her only reaction to seeing the machine. Then is spoke, and she blinked a moment before stopping to think about the answer to that question, as she though she gently nibbled on the sandwich thinking if she had seen a place called that at any point in her meanderings, Sadly she was coming up with a blank to it's question and she looked back at the metallic hound gently popping the edge of the sandwich out of her mouth to speak.

"Sadly We don't know where that place is, have you considered getting a map? We think Myrna has one if you want to look at it" she said oddly calmly and with an expressionless face only waiting for his answer as she popped the edge of the sandwich back into her mouth and started to nibble on it once more.

Oh goodie. She wasn't afraid of him.

'We'? Third person? That was odd. Was this little girl some manner of royalty, or was that simply a personal quirk? He'd put those questions aside for now though. Right now he had things to (Try to) get done.

"I'd appreciate it if... if Myma could lend me her map." Selenus wasn't sure if he was addressing her correctly or not. Justified or no, he knew people could get pretty cranky about the way you referred to them. He watched the girl put her sammich back into her mouth.

Looking to the metallic dog and waiting for his response she simply studied him, looking him over and noting the amount of blades on him, most sheathed and not dangerous at the moment, but she assumed they where not there for show, the ones on his legs were a worry though as they were blade out with no sheath on them at all. Though she assumed that the robot had the good sense to be careful with them, or at least was programmed to be aware of them...then again if it was programmed wouldn't it know the location it was trying to get to? or have a built in map? these questions swirled around her head a bit as she studied him.

When he asked to see her map she nodded a bit and she reached into her backpack, the sammich hanging from her mouth as she somehow managed to keep nibbling on it as she started to dig, and moved a few things around, quickly finding it since she kept things in very good order, she then took it out and looked at the mechanical dog a moment as she was about to hand it to him but realized he probably couldn't hold it, so she popped the sammich edge out of her mouth and placed it in it's baggie before unfolding the map for him and showing it to him her hand gently moving along it till it pointed at the place where they were

"We should be here, We do not know where you want to go but Alistar thinks it sounds like it may be in Suzie Q sector" she answered him as she sat there waiting for him to study the map, after all he seemed nice enough polite at least, and he needed help getting somewhere and she always carried a map so why not help?

"Hmm..."

Selenus studied the little girl's map closely, then came to an inevitable conclusion: Either Grins had lied to him, or he was running some sort of underground, illegal bar not shown on the map, because there wasn't a single trace of it on this one. He sighed a heavy sigh before sitting beside the bench the strange yet curious girl was sitting on.

"Thank you for your help, but the place I'm looking for is nowhere on the map. I doubt you'd know where else I can find an ASSW-specialized mechanic, so I'll refrain from asking that."

Looking ath the girl closer up though... something about her clicked in Selenus's mind. Like she'd seen this girl before, but not directly. That royalty theory of his was starting to make more and more sense as time went on.

"Would we... happen to have met by any chance? Have you... ever been on TV or the news?"

Trinity waited for the robot to study the map which took a bit of time but eventually she stopped looking and she folded the map up perfectly before slipping it back into her bag and she resumed her nibbling of her sammich, looking at the robot dog as he seemed to give up, maybe he was trying to get home? maybe he was just trying to find his owner? she wasn't sure but she was sure he apparently needed help and she wanted to help him out, he seemed nice after all and was polite, so as he sat down next to the bench she was on she scooted over to him as he started to talk, mentioning something about a ASSW mechanic and thanking her for her help and she thought about it, but she had no real clue what a ASSW was, so she sat there and she honestly couldn't think of anything, it was a bit depressing to realize someone needed help and she couldn't do anything.

Taking a long slightly louder then normal inhale through her nose and gently letting it out, basically a little huff, she scooted a bit closer to the dog robot thingy and reached out and gently pets his head, it was all she could do at the moment as she sat with him, "We hope this is okay" she asked after realize he might not want to be petted right now, but she didn't know how else to cheer the dog robot up.

It was about that time though he asked about if they had met before and she looked at him then he asked about T.V. and she nodded a bit at that "We are part of Trinity" she answered honestly, as she pets the dog robot gently "If you want We can take you in and help you find one later? at least then you will have a safe place to stay" she offered as she let her hand gently pet his head.

Once again, he enjoyed making people happy by allowing them to pet him, even if he couldn't physically feel the petting. "It's fine. Keep going if you wish." He said in a calm, soothed voice.

Later, however, she mentioned something about being a part of Trinity. "Trinity? That sounds familiar... Hold on." Selenus performed a quicksearch in his memory banks. "You are a member of the idol trio "Trinity"? Interesting. I've heard quite a lot about you, though I've never had the chance to listen to any of your music. I'm... uh... still unsure as to your name though. I'm Selenus. It's nice to meet you mis...?" Selenus intentionally lefrt a gap there for her to insert her name.

"If you want We can take you in and help you find one later? at least then you will have a safe place to stay"

Selenus's ears perked up. "Are you absolutely sure? I'd greatly appreciate your housing me, but wouldn't your parents... protest at the sight of me?" This single offer was the nicest thing anyone had offered to do for Selenus in years. Well, Grins's was up there, but it turned out he was more playing a practical joke from the looks of things.

Hearing he didn't mind the petting Trinity continued to pet him, sitting there and simply enjoying the time, though her face remained totally expressionless as she looked down at the robot dog, the metal was harsh but the way the robot seemed to react told it had some feelings and she couldn't help but want to help, human or animal, or robot in this case, she wanted to help others, it was something she had realized quite a while ago to be honest and something she wished she could do more often, and here was one in need so she would help since she had the power to at least do that much.

The dog then mentioned her group and she nodded a bit when he asked if that was what she said, Then he seemed to sit there a moment as she pets him, and so wait she did. A few moments later he seemed to speak up once more and she nodded when he asked if she was part of Trinity, it was odd that a robot dog had heard of them but at the same time considering they had been rather popular maybe he had some means of checking? she really wasn't sure about the inner workings of a robot dog, Then he asked her her name and she sat there a moment, she wasn't really expressing the other two so there was technically only one name she was expressing out of the three of them and so she looked back to him and answered.

"We are Nola, it is nice to meet you Selenus, you are very polite" she said in her near monotone and with her expressionless face as she looked to him, then he asked if she was sure of her offer earlier and she nodded even as he asked if her parents would be okay with it "They have been telling us to get a pet that can guard us on our outings, We can say you are a good companion for such things as you seem able to defend yourself and we assume others as well correct?" she asked the last question looking over him and seeing the knives closer then before.

Honestly there was also the fact that her parents normally wouldn't refuse her only to keep her working as an idol, not that she abused that, just it seemed they erred on the side of caution, even they seemed to not know how to act around her sometimes, like most people seemed to.

So she really was an idol, huh? It wasn't every day you met someone famous. Then again, Selenus spent roughly three years of his life with Pre-Endymion's richest man, so it's not like he could exactly say that from experience. Inspecting her from a close angle, he realized that her wear was way too eccentric for her to be anything but an idol. The red hair and differently colored eyes really sold the deal.

"So you need someone to protect you, huh?" Selenus wondered if agreeing to this so suddenly was a good idea after all. They had only just met, but it wasn't like he was doing anything else with his life (or anything at all for the last few years for that matter). For now he'd figure he'd just be there if she needed to go outside in exchange for having a place to sleep Even if he was a robot, he still needed sleep to refresh his mind. Plus having access to a house with potential internet acces would make finding an ASSW specialist much easier.

"Alright, I'll take you up on your offer. I can't promise I'll be around all the time though, you're gonna have to call me via phone or radio if you need me. I have a built-in codec in my ear, so that should be no problem."

Continuing to sit there petting the robot dog Trinity felt a bit happy inside that he seemed to perk up, or at least she thought he did, and he seemed to look at her once she pointed out she was an idol and he seemed to be confirming that, ether that or maybe matching her to a picture of them? she really couldn't tell, again she didn't know the inner workings of a robot dog, she just at there taking a slightly louder intake of breath through her nose and letting it out again as she waited, Then he asked her about the protection thing and she tilted her head a bit, she really didn't need the protection her parents just wanted to have some, she never really seen the need for it, and she was rarely recognized when she was out, or if she was people kept there distance, so really the answer to that was a no.

Looking back to the dog she shook her head a little "We don't really need it, but our Parents think we do, and we could say that you would be good for that and that would let you stay, since you seem nice we think they will let you stay, and while you are at the house we can try and help you find the person or people you are looking for" she stated once more with her monotone and expressionless face. then after a moment he agreed and she nodded as she listened to his instructions and she took out her phone.

"We have a cell phone...how do we hook you up through it?" she asked since getting the number right away was best, his notice that he wouldn't be around all the time was fine, he obviously had things he wanted to do as well, like find the person he was looking for, but at least she could help him a bit with that by giving him a place to stay while he did so.

"Hook... me... up?" Selenus let out an energetic chuckle. "Well, that's definitely one way to call it. If you'd just hand me your cell phone..." Selenus inserted the three wires on his tail into Nola's phone's charger port and sent a jollt of data up through his tail and into her cellphone. "You should now be able to find my radio frequency under your contacts list. I suggest you download a radio app to contact me, otherwise you'll have connection troubles."

Selenus retracted his tailwires from Nola's phone and gazed interestedly at the flowers that adorned the garden path. They really did work miracles on Selenus's state of mind with simply their appearance. "Tell me, Nola, what do you think of those flowers?" He said while using his tail to point at a trio of flowers: One red, one yellow, and one blue. "I'm a pretty avid fan of nature myself. I could tell you the name of any species of plant off the top of my head. Granted, that's because i have a database that prevents me from ever forgetting anything, but still." He chuckled again. "Ironic that someone like me, who's completely artifical, would be so interested in nature, no?"

He realized that he had been so caught up in establishing the agreement and appreciating the environment that he didn't really dedicate any of the time he'd spent here to getting to know his new "client" as it were. "If you don't mind my asking... how come you refer to yourself as "we"? And who was that Myrna you talked of?"

Trinity watched as Selenus slipped wires into her phone and apparently simply uploaded his information into it, as she was looking at the contacts list she seen some contact info but it wasn't a normal cell number, but after a moment Selenus explained and she nodded a bit as she quickly clicked through her phone and got a very good app, since it would be how she would contact him she got a good one so she could get the best signal, that way if he needed her help he could get a hold of her with good quality as well. After al just because he was going to protect her it didn't mean she couldn't help him, after all this all started with her helping him out so it was clear that yes he could use help at times, and inside she was quite glad to help him out, though her outward expression remained neutral.

As the robot dog retracted his tail wires she had already finished downloading the app and then she looked over to him as he asked her a question, and she followed his pointing to the flowers, she studied them tilting her head as she tended to do when thinking and looked at them and as she was doing so he continued to talk, bringing her focus back to him to listen properly, and he explained having a database of information, and that sounded handy, though he seemed to find it ironic that a robot dog could enjoy nature and she sat there pondering that as well as his previous question for a moment, the flowers....and was it really ironic? she thought on this a bit as she thought of other things in comparison to all that and finally she reached something she could convey as an answer.

turning to look to the flowers once more she spoke up "Alistar thinks that they're very nice...and probably not lonely...they are surrounded by their sibling flowers...They are in a place that gives them everything they need, we see them and enjoy looking at them for their colors and their beauty, we take care of them for it, as well as for the fragrance they give of, we look after them while they look after some small part of us, so in a way we are connected to them".

She then looked at Selenus "As for it being ironic that you like nature...We don't find it ironic...We appreciate Machines and are interested in them, does that make it Ironic that we do that when we are completely natural? Or just another thing that makes us what we are?" she gave that little gentle huff that was her only expression, none angry, and basically fairly neutral, as she looked at him with that blank expressionless look on her face.

Then he asked about her and asked who Mryna was and she had no reason to hide it, after all if he lived with them and was around her he would find out anyway "We are Trinity, and Myrna is our sister, We have always called ourselves We since We are more then one" she answered with that same monotone and expressionless face though she wasn't lying and being totally honest.

Selenus inhaled and exhaled in calm. "It seems to me like you like being sorrounded by people. Hey, no harm done, everyone likes to live their lives differently from each other. I personally like being by my lonesome, but I never object to a little company here and there."

He thought the "We" was just a speech quirk, but apparently it wasn't. It was nothing near that. "I... I see... Well, I hope I'll get along with your two siblings. If they were raised together with such a well-mannered girl such like you, they can't be any less than pleasant." So it was clear this girl had some issues... but he was not about to tell her that an time soon or far. Kids have overactive imnaginations. It'd be best to just let her sort things out herself. That is, if she ever did.

After a brief period of awkward silence, Selenus popped a question in order to break the ice. "So. What's it like, never truly being alone? That's a very rare opportunity you've been given." For now, he'd entertain her folly. It wasn't his place to tell her anything about herself anyway, since he'd barely met her.

Sitting with him and listening to him she continued to gently pet his head as she did so, he made his observation about her and it was true she liked being around people, it made it easier to find others she could help, like Selenus, Though it seemed him meeting her was was the luck of him being lost as he mentioned he liked to be alone more then in groups, and she nodded a bit, she couldn't really understand that feeling, but at the same time she nodded to show she was at least listening. She did hope he wouldn't mind her company, but then again he agreed to stay in her home so obviously he didn't mind all that much which was a good thing.

As she sat there and listened to him mentioning meeting her siblings she tilted her head, maybe she didn't explain clear enough, thankfully she was well aware of what she was and so she thought she should clarify for him, though in the time she took to think of the proper way to tell him he asked yet another question and she listened and tilted her head as she started to think about it, and the answer was rather easy to say so she looked back to him and replied to his question first "We feel comforted all the time...reassured...because there is always someone with us..always, it makes us feel better knowing that no matter what...we are never really alone" his question answered she thought it best to clarify what she meant.

She looked around to make sure no one was around, and the place was empty now and so she figured it was okay to tell him, after all if they had let the public know then Trinity wouldn't be such an interesting group or so her parents told her. "Myrna is a Chimera...she is made of all three of her and her siblings...she was born that way" she said this quietly so only he could hear, but her voice was still that monotone and her face as expressionless as ever, "But do not tell anyone okay? Alistar feels he can trust you to keep it secret" she nodded as she continued to pet his head hoping that now what she meant was clearer.
