Once entering the next floor, the team would be greeted by the rays of the sun and a beautiful field of flowers. The sun would hang high and a soft breeze would blow by. In the center of this flowery field would be a single sword stabbed into the dirt with a six inch radius of dead flowers. This was certainly another floor of the tower, but like the previous, it was not that of a dungeon whatsoever. It appeared the team was outside this time around.

Walking into the floor, Tomoe looked around and attempted to see anything out of the ordinary. Apart from being outside, she noticed the blade sticking from the ground, but would not go to it yet. She waited for her allies she chose to arrive. The breeze was so nice, and serene, not like it was outside. This tower sure had strange qualities...

“What? Outside? Really now? Running out of ideas Yachiru?” Kogami would say mockingly as he tipped his hat over his eyes and followed behind. “Well, I guess you can look at it this way, it sure “Sounds” like were outside. But what the hell do I know? This could all be faked, but you seem to be enjoying yourself Pocahontas.” Kogami was referring to tomoe’s current carefree attitude. Well, it looked carefree to him , until he saw the sword. “ The hell?” Kogami walked closer to the sword with a questioning look as he reached out to pull it out of the ground.

Mir came in at the back-end of the group, trying to adjust her bodysuit after putting it on hastily. She didn't comment much on the floor, but sighed a bit, looking around.

"Knowing the tower, it most likely is fake, but that doesn't mean we can't enjoy the... fake sun, does it?" The android shrugged, not knowing what else to say, but snickered at Kogami's comment about the sword. "Honestly, I don't think you'd be good as the King. Oh wait, the sword would have to be stuck in a stone... right. Well, why don't you try it out? Not like we have much more to do here." Jaqli crossed her arms and looked around the floor, searching for anything too out of the ordinary in here so far... Needless to say, Tomoe had given her the same Persona as the previous floor this time as well... and it made her uneasy.

"Something so peaceful... it's a shame that it'll most likely turn into a battlefield..." She muttered those words, closing her eyes. This floor did feel nice, but Mir couldn't help but remind herself that they had an opponent to face... surely, there was something to be done here, though it wasn't like she had visited many floors so what could she tell? Maybe it was the Tower giving them a much deserved break. But no, she couldn't think that way.

"It is beautiful isn't it?" A voice could be heard behind the group, as a dark haired woman walked past the group and towards the sword. She had a sullen look in her eyes, as she turned to glance at the children before her. The opposition seemed to get younger and younger these days, and it did make her rather upset. But a job was a job, so could she really complain at this point? Atleast with this test, she'd be able to see if they were capable of facing her on the next floor.

"So I take it you're the group who ended Four's life? It seems you all have a taste for combat. I'd like to see how far that Will of yours will take you. So why don't you humor me with this trial before we do battle ourselves?" The Third King would take a few steps back from the blade that was currently stabbed into the ground. Her eyes never left the group, as she crossed both arms upon her chest and begun to speak once more. "This here is a Devil Arm: a blade with immense power. However, power corrupts and defiles. Though it gives such a potent gift, it drains the life out of anything or one that wields it. You all will be put through three waves of enemies. I require one of you to use this blade during all three battles. If you defeat the opponents and make it out alive, you'll have free entry to the next floor where we can have a proper match. --Which one of you are brave and strong enough to wield this blade for the coming trial?"

The woman waited to hear an answer while thinking of her own relation to blades. They were simple and majestic. They gave the desired results aswell. Blades weren't only used to destroy, but also to protect aswell. Ree had used them to protect herself as a child, but somewhere down the line she began to use them to destroy the lives of others. She'd have to blame it on her work as a mercenary, but even she knew that would be her lying to herself. After all, she chose to take the lives of those who crossed her path. It was not the blade, it was herself. Just like how these children chose to oppose them this night and take a life of one of her comrades.

By her blade--Four would be avenged.

Turning back to see the woman, she let her pass towards the blade. She was one of them most likely. One who served Yachiru. But, when she brought up Four, Tomoe could not help herself. The wound was still too fresh to her. "That was not what we intended...! Killing is not what I want to do..." she looked down for a little bit. She couldn't keep doing this. Nothing was there to ease her pain with Four, and she was merely left to cry to herself. It was....not easy to get over, something part of her true values. She whispered to herself mostly, something that she didn't want to hear this woman answer.

"I don't want to kill you...is that all we are allowed to do..?"

Regardless of her answer, she would hear her out. They weren't going to fight each other right now, just throw enemies. Her first fight was with that masked man, and even then she wasn't trying to beat him. The idea of fighting more enemies after Four secretly horrified her, though she would keep that secret within herself. She would have to see how that worked out. She looked at the blade. The Devil Arm....power at the cost of life. She felt like between the three of them, it was she who deserved that punishment. Mir she would absolutely not let take, and would step in front of her if she tried. She looked to Kogami, not sure if she herself should take it or if she should trust him. He may not have deserved it either, then again he seemed to be alright with it. Kogami Shibuya was frightening in a way. "Kogami.....I want to take this blade, and I will. I know you'd try to get it. I won't stop you, but just please, don't take the entire burden." She looked to him. If Kogami hesitated, she would walk up and pull the blade out of the dirt herself, examining it. But if Kogami acted immediately, she would let him walk past her and let him pull it out. She would look at the woman either way when everyone was prepared. "Alright. Whenever you're ready.." she said, violet eyes watching her movements.

Mir didn't react as the woman walked past them, nor when she began speaking. The android wasn't going to let words get to her during a fight, not this time... when they were done, she had the time to bawl and cry her eyes out. "Good grief..." Tomoe didn't need to worry, Mir wouldn't step forward to grab the blade, but she did put on a frown when she wanted to take it instead.

"Kyokudou... you shouldn't take this blade. I don't know what it does exactly, but I don't think it's wise for you to be the one handling it. No offense to you, it's just... I can't trust anything that comes our way right now..." Jaqli brought a hand up to her face, crossing one arm over the other while biting a nail, clearly distressed. She looked at Kogami with the same expression, only furrowing her brow further as if pleading. If this blade did drain the life of whoever held it, they both knew Tomoe shouldn't take it... she mustn't.

"I'm not going to let you die..." Muttering this to herself, Mir closed her eyes, still frowning. Only Kogami should have been able to hear it, but it was a true promise. She didn't doubt Tomoe, but she couldn't let her risk herself, not when they didn't know exactly what the sword actually did.

Kogami overheard what mir said and looked at her for a quick second, exchanging glances with her. Afterwards, Kogami looked at the woman and pointed at her with an annoyed look on his face. “ What is this supposed to be, a redemption of some sort of here we fought a person called the number 4? Do you guys even have real names? “ Kogami would say mockingly as he tipped his hat and walked past Tomoe and pulled the Devil arm out of the dirt. “ I’m not taking the burden of anything, To be honest, I’m kind of looking for something cool to say, but I only know how to be a selfish bastard so….you’re not touching that sword Tomoe. That’s all there is to it “ Kogami only did what came natural to him
Doing what he did best was one thing, but even he wished that he knew what he was doing. At the very least, Kogami didn’t think nothing of it, maybe nobody really understood him either. Kogami would enter his true self and his endless array of ectoplasmic snakes started to roam about. “”I’m obviously the best choice, draining the life of a shadow doesn’t mean shit, Tomoe has her little crush now to keep her company and Mir is just a waitress. No shorter than what I deserve, I’m a criminal. Anyway, let’s get started. “ He was a criminal that never killed, moer like a misunderstood youth who didn’t understand anything at all, not even his powers and the role he was given. Taking the life of four wasn’t something these girls should hold, Koga was the one that had the rap sheet, he even broke out of jail, so what did it matter?

Kogami takes the challenge

The Third King looked towards the woman who seemed to shed some tears on Four's behalf. She was not sure if she should feel angered or sympathetic. Crying over the corpse of one you killed? She did not know the feeling, so she would not judge. However, she couldn't help but place a hand on her hip and give a sigh. "Stop crying over the death of your enemies. Four knew what she was doing when she challenged you all. She had made her resolve to fight, and you all resolved to kill her for it. Nothing can be done about the past." The Third King didn't know how to react to how protective the other two was of the young woman who had shed a tear for Four's death. Three looked towards her wish narrowed eyes, now judging her from that point onward.

Her attention was taken by the young man of the group who called her out about her name. "Four did not have a proper name, because Yachiru-sama never named her. She was born to be a tool, and sadly died as one aswell. I, myself, have a name. But my name is not important. I'll tell it to you once I've been defeated. Perhaps that will be some motivation for completing this trial." Just by his attitude and demeanor, Three could tell this was the main that Yatagarasu spoke to her about. So he was one of the main culprits for killing Four... Right.

When he elected to take the blade, the Third King would step aside and allow him to grasp it. He would obviously feel a tremendous jump in his own power for the first few seconds before feeling a numbing pain around his body. It was a mixture of great power, and numbing weakness. Something he'd need to get accustomed too during the coming trial. Because once he took hold of the blade, the Third King would begin to make her way to the other end of the flower field. "The trial begins now. Survive three wave. Each wave will have a different gimmick. We will begin this now. Are you all prepared for combat?"

Ugh!!!!”Kogami grunted a bit and his snakes were vibrating, HE felt stronger but he felt weaker at the same time. “What the hell is this thing? Worse than drugs…….” He even broke a sweat just by holding it, but kogami kept up with his tough guy front. “Lets get this over with already…… don’t worry about me...

I can do this…. I can do this….” Kogami was saying to himself in his mind as he prepared for the battle ahead. This weapon was a pain in the ass. “ If this is one of your toys I can only imagine how hard you hit….. he snickered at the king for a brief moment.

Tomoe looked at Kogami when he took the blade. If that's what he wanted. She sobered up when she was told to quit mourning. She probably hurt as well, though she did not show it. She gave a nod to her, signaling that she herself was ready.

"Tch..." Mir just looked away when Kogami took the blade. She seriously appreciated him taking it, but... dammit. From his reaction, the android could tell how powerful it was. "Alright, let's do this. Don't worry, Kogami, I have your back." Jaqli snapped her fingers as Nyx appeared behind her, kneeling on the ground to cover the android. Her Persona was already set up to start healing the party at any moment... she just needed a prompt to do so.

The Third King would nod as the three before her would prepare themselves for battle. Crossing her arms, the sound of propeller blades could be heard as three suits of armor would fly down from the sky above them and land with a thud. As they would land, the wind would pick up and start to destroy the flowers in the area. The suits would hover before the small group: two black and one silver in the center.

"I see! Very well, we three shall test the "Persona-Users" of this land. Prepare for battle!" The voice in the suit had a heavy accent. They were most likely German and not from Ueitawa. Were they residents of the Tower or were they created in an alternate reality? Regardless, they were here to face the users on the Third King's behalf. Perhaps they were followers of her stern belief.

They all prepared for combat with the silver one taking the head and the two others supporting. It seemed they planned on separating the fight into a 1v1v1v1 or a 2v2 & 1v1. These were the rules for the first fight. The three users would have to decided how they would split up for this fight. More specifically, if they were to go 2v2 and 1v1, who would be the one to go one vs one with the mechanized leader?

Kogami Waved his sword in the direction of the mechanized. “ Tomoe, Mir… fight together…. I’ll take on the leader by myself….” There was a bit spacing in Kogami’s words, meaning that he was already starting to feel the sapping effects of the sword. “ I’m really going to be cutting it close this time around, nothing lie risking your life to start the day. Heck, my last meal might have been a fucking popsicle…thanks vera….” Kogami tipped his hat and stepped forward with the cursed blade in hand. Since he was most likely going to be fighting by himself, he knew that he had to play smart and end the fight pretty quickly. “Damned nazi, I won’t make this easy for ya….”

Tomoe looked at Kogami, moving to him and grabbing his shoulder before he left for his fight. She didn't want to see this, but it had to be done either way. It was either this or go herself. She had to trust him. "Don't quit on me okay? I wanna see you make it back just fine, or I won't be happy." Tomoe squeezed his shoulder lightly in a reassuring way before moving back to Mir and facing the black soldiers. "You and me. Get ready," Tomoe said, readying her faces, and herself.
