It was still pretty early, around 9 AM when Rita reached the circus, word having gotten to her that it was open for performances already since the case with the disappearances was either solved or not a threat any more... Rita only knew the girls were safe, no more details. Looking at the expansive are, Rita could see some animal cages around, feral but she hoped trained beasts clearly visible inside... Getting in the main tent, Rita watched in awe at the sheer number of people inside that, while definitely large, still couldn't fill two thirds of the seats... "Wow... this place is huge!" Her eyes shining, Rita realized this was her first time entering a circus... taking her ticket out of her coat's pocket, Rita walked over to the admittance post, giving it to the person inside. Now having free access to the seats, Rita picked a spot up front, where not many people were seated around her and took out her 3DS while waiting for the show to start... "Well, I hope she's performing today..." Sighing a slight bit, Rita booted up her demo of Super Smash Bros., continuing her training against Level 9 opponents... though she'd close the system immediately as soon as the show started, of course...

And the lights began to turn off, as the medium-sized crowd began to cheer before settling down, their noises sounding not as loud as a usual full house. A booming drum began to be hit several times, before going faster, and faster, before a final loud strike would suddenly bring silence. And all at once, the lights would focus on the middle of the stage, revealing a single man juggling a bowling pin, a ball, and a toy car, rather clumsily on a unicycle. Naturally many in the crowd were confused at the moment. Was this meant to be the act? Though suddenly, loud steps were heard from one end and from the shadows, many animals including an elephant, tiger, and trailing behind, a walrus came running for him. The unicyclist, scrambling and dropping his things, began to pedal furiously on his getaway vehicle and bolted the other way, drawing a laugh from the audience at the sudden madness of it all. Before he could get any distance, the animals seemed to overtake him and he then got lost in the sea of feet and fur…or so it would seem. The animals would stampede onto the other side and into the darkness, leaving no one on the ground. Though the lights would move up, and sitting on a trapeze line would be Cuore, holding the juggler in her arms in a way that made him look like a princess. The crowd would clap and laugh at the obvious joke, as she waved to the crowd. It was not as large today, which did disappoint her, however she did notice a new friend of hers showed up. Rita did indeed make true on her promise to visit her.

Noticing the lights went out, Rita closed the console, putting it away in her pocket and watched the... show... "U-um... what? Don't tell me that's all!" Starting to get disappointed, Rita perked up at the sounds of animals coming from behind the man, only being able to give a confused look at what was happening... "Erm, wait... what the...?" A silly smile appearing on her face, Rita could feel the drop of cold sweat rolling down her face... Watching as the man simply dropped everything, Rita was simply surprised as Lia stood above the stage on a thin line, holding the man... Now pretty impressed at her skill, Rita let herself go as she laughed with the crowd at the joke, shooting Lia a thumbs-up in response, looking forward to seeing her perform even more... Strange... Rita never laughed like this before, though... was this why the circus was so popular, even in Japan? She looked forward to finding out, especially with a friend to show her just how funny it could get...

Cuore gave a large grin to everyone, waving out as she seemed to toss the man from her grip, who then shot out his feet and latched onto the trapeze, hanging just by the tops of his feet, and using his feet to inch his way to the other side. Cuore then hopped onto the trapeze herself and ran across it without losing balance in the slightest, grabbing onto a colored post and twirling down it and hopped off and landed in the middle of the ring, drawing a series of claps from the audience and several whistles from a few males and females. Pulling out a microphone, she gave a tremendous pose and twirled. “Hello to all! I hope you’re having a great time getting out of the heat today!....Oh? You’re not? One second…….Billy!” she called out. Almost immediately, the large elephant from before would return next to a large bucket of water. “They need help cooling off! Those in the first few rows, will get wet!” At the signal, Billy the Elephant stuck its trunk in the bucket for a moment and shooting the water up over himself, dousing himself in water. There was a mixed reaction, some shouts, others laughs. But that was only the first show. Billy then stuck his trunk in once again, and the lights went out once more.

Two…

Three!

After the three seconds, the lights came on, and Cuore threw a water balloon and Billy would throw his own from his trunk at the feet of a few in the front row, getting them wet, but not soaked, drawing yet another laugh from the audience. “Hm! Now someone else needs to get wet!” She said, putting a finger to her chin, studying everyone carefully, before taking the biased route and pointing straight to Rita. “How about this lucky lady come on down!” she said, with a mischievous smirk only Cuore was ready to prepare, though made her look positively breathtaking, like she was a fairy or something otherworldly.

Watching as the performance went on, Rita was quite impressed at Lia's ability, given that she simply ran a trapeze like it was a wide open road... Certainly impressed, Rita's mouth opened slightly as she watched Lia's act, quickly reacting as she said "wet", making her hide her 3DS behind her seat... only to look completely and utterly confused as the Elephant doused himself and not the audience... Surprised again by the power outage, Rita already at least knew that this wasn't a simply power outage... reacting again quickly, Rita had just enough time to protect her electronics before being hit with water from the two balloons, listening to Lia's speech afterwards with a look of relief... Sitting back down straight, Rita watched as Lia scanned the audience, only to end up with her eyesight on her... something she really only could expect from seeing that mischievous smile... A knowing look on her face, Rita got up, all her technology having been hopefully safely deposited onto the back of the seat, and moved towards the ring, stopping near Lia. Giving a slight laugh, Rita spoke in a tone that couldn't be picked up by the microphone, one just loud enough for Lia to hear. "Why do I know you did this on purpose? Ehehe... I'm down, what're we doin'?" Standing there with a cocky smile on her face, Rita steeled her mind for whatever Lia wanted to do now... hoping it wasn't TOO bad, at least... and of course, she'd do anything Lia'd ask, as long as it was reasonably funny while not too degrading...

As if right on cue to her question, a sea lion began to waddle out next to Cuore and near the front row, tapping a few audience members with its nose as they pet it. Several younger kids even called out the name of Mickey the Sea Lion. “Yup! He’s back! Mickey the Sea Lion!” The sea lion started to waddle and hop on one of the seats and searched through it to find a ball, and began to push it towards Cuore, letting her pick it up and handing it to Rita. This act was not exactly new, but the crowd seemed to appreciate it, and it the goal was to simply lift their spirits. “You don’t have any electronics on you right? Good! Come with me!” she said grabbing Rita’s arm and pulling her into the middle, and in a few minutes setting her up over a platform that was right over a small pool of water, big enough for her if she were to fall in. On another platform, Mickey was poised and ready with the ball. “Hang on and keep batting the ball away as long as you can and don’t fall! If you can survive without getting wet, you will get a prize!” Cuore said. At the sound of a horn, Mickey would toss a ball and slap it with his tail, sending the ball for her chest with an average speed. It was a simple throw, just to test her ball-hitting skills.

Watching the sea lion waddle out to the stage and to the front row, Rita cupped her hands and blushed while looking at the animal, thinking it cute... Surprised by how many people knew the animal, Rita didn't even notice Lia handing her a ball... "Huh, wait, what? Electronics, no, I don't have any.. gwaah!" Being suddenly pulled by Lia, Rita flinched a bit but accepted her spot atop a pool of water, knowing very well what was about to happen... "A-ah, I see..." Surprised that she was now playing a sort of baseball game to be dry, Rita was a bit disappointed at the throw, though she shrugged it off and hit it normally, sending it back to Mickey with ease. "Alright then, I'm in! Let's play this game!" Now getting excited and eager to see what the prize'd be like, Rita'd get pumped up and focused, ready to hit any ball that came her way, fast or slow.

As the ball came back towards the lion, he would be caught off guard and the ball would merely hit his nose and fall into the small pool. Mickey put his fins out and waved them to her, not able to catch the ball. Cuore immediately jumped into the pool and grabbed the ball and swimming out, the ball itself now completely soaked in water and still dripping. She then tossed it high into the air and summoning her trademarked red whip to smack the ball amazingly dead on, sending it even higher into the air, to where the sea lion could catch it. In response, he would toss up the ball and smack it hard with his tail. It did not seem to go for her this time, and in fact, went for the corner of the platform she was on, shaking it all of a sudden and sending the ball back into the pool, to which Cuore would throw it back up to Rita if she was able to make her balance. “Keep trying! You know you want to take a dip!”

Seeing Mickey get hit by her ball, Rita flinched and worried she hurt him by hitting the ball too hard, making her a bit more vulnerable for just a little bit... "Agh, sorry, Mickey!" Cupping her hands, Rita apologized to the sea lion and got ready again as she saw Lia throw the ball upwards, knowing Mickey wouldn't try the same strategy again... reading the trajectory, Rita lied herself down on the platform to get better balance, hanging onto the edges with her hands. "Hngg... g-good try but it won't be enough!" Grabbing the ball as Lia threw it, Rita got back on her feet and readied herself, aiming to throw the ball up like she did in PE class when training for Volleyball and hitting it in a mighty service aimed at the platform's front-most left leg, trying to make the sea lion and Lia lose at their own game... though hopefully not hurt Mickey... "Sorry in advaaanceee!" She said while jumping up and hitting the ball now, proceeding with her strategy.

Seeing as how Rita did not fall off as planned, Cuore now had to start making drastic measures. She began to aim and purposefully miss while she cracked her whip near the ball as it flew, making loud snapping noises next to the ball in an attempt to catch Rita off guard. “Get over here!” she shouted with a grin. The crowd began to clap and cheer in anticipation as Mickey responded with a quicker smack, sending the ball towards her knees with quick speed. The crowd began to chant, entranced by the experience. “Go! Go! Go!” If Rita was able to hit the ball back again, Cuore would end the whipping and would run quickly to the post closest to Rita’s platform and begin to grab part of a rope to pull herself, hurrying to get to Rita’s level, for an unknown reason.

Seeing what Lia was doing, Rita watched both the ball and the whip in succession, focusing more on the ball and Mickey... The noises making Rita just a bit distracted, she focused entirely on the ball, knowing the whip by itself wouldn't be a problem and kept her eyes on Mickey... Looking to Lia as she shouted, Rita realized her attention shifted and quickly turned to see the ball heading straight for her legs... Pushing forward her knee, Rita hit the ball hard as a reflex, sending it high into the air and simply hit it towards Mickey gently so he'd pick it up. Proud of herself now, Rita threw the crowd a smirk until she noticed Lia climbing up to her... "This isn't over yet? Keep it coming, I'm not giving up!" A proud smirk on her face, Rita looked to the crowd, challenging both Lia and Mickey to another round... though she secretly hoped that it'd be over as she was getting visibly tired...

This looks like a job for cheating! Cuore found a first circular platform to grab hold of that was just over Rita in terms of height. Grabbing onto it and pulling herself up, she would grab a before unseen bucket of water and hurl the water from it onto Rita’s back. No doubt she would not see it coming and get doused on her back with a cold chill and wet sensation. Mickey caught the ball and slapped his fins together repeatedly as the crowd cheered and laughed. Cuore slid down the pole and climbed up the steps to Rita and grinned. If she looked at all disappointed or even if she looked like she was having a good time, she’d hold her arms out and offer to carry her back to her seat. On the walk during the cheer, she’d talk to Rita. “I’ll have to give you an autograph or your prize later. Bit wet for that,” she said laughing. Assuming Rita would get back to her seat safely, the acts would continue, and end somewhat early contrary to how normal acts go, most likely due to the lack of people. People would soon leave at the end, as Cuore stood in the middle, letting people leave, and few would come to her and ask for autographs. Eventually, people would stop visiting her, but she would be near the middle pool, petting Mickey and tossing him a fish for a job well done.

Seeing Lia go over her and bring out something she didn't even know was there, Rita panicked and tried to run off, only to be hit by a chilly sensation as the cold water hit her back... Pouting playfully towards Lia as she climbed up to her, Rita gave her a little playful shove that didn't really push her a lot farther than a millimeter and spoke to her. "Geez, you dirty rotten cheat, I thought this was gonna be fair!" Speaking in a joking tone, Rita would smirk and sprinkle a bit of water on Lia as a small payback, accepting her offer to take her to her seat... though she didn't quite expect Lia to pick her up and princess carry her... blushing a slight bit, Rita waved to the crowd too, happy to have participated in the show... Nodding to Lia's words, Rita sat down when Lia put her down, grabbing a paper towel off her bag and wiping off at least the excess water from her back... The show continued on normally, she assumed and reached their end a bit earlier than Rita expected... putting her bag back over her shoulder and her 3DS in her pocket, Rita would first wait until everyone was gone before going down and meeting Lia, giving her a cheerful smile. "That was awesome, Lia, I really enjoyed this show... I'll come back for sure, that's a promise!" Though not leaving quite yet as she was still pretty intrigued about what her prize was, Rita took out a light snack from her bag along with two packets of strawberry milk. "Here, you must be hungry after all that, no?" Splitting the snack in half, Rita would make sure Lia'd know it was just a small croissant with no real sugar on the top, more like sweetened bread and handed her both it and one of the two packets, smiling gently as she did so. "Wanna go somewhere right now? I don't really have anything to do so I don't mind..." Blushing still a slight bit, Rita's mind jumped to Lia carrying her again, though she shook her head and dismissed the thought, her cheeks still flushing regardless...

Cuore had just finished tossing another fish to Mickey who began to eat it happily before she looked to Rita. Cuore definitely smelled a bit like fish, which didn’t seem to bother her, but the smell did permeate the immediate area around her. She would kindly take the snacks offered by her and take a small bite. “Have to watch my weight, so I have to make sure I am not eating too much sweets.” She said, taking a small sip of the milk. “But sorry, I can’t go out. Gotta feed the big boys tonight.” She said, patting Mickey, who waddled over to Rita to nuzzle her leg with his wet body, which also smelled of fish. “You an animal person? I really like them a lot. Mickey seems to like you,” she said. Mickey then started to sniff at her snack. Apparently she wasn’t all Mickey liked. “Hey there, no no. You just ate,” she said with an adorable giggle.

Seeing that Lia took the snack and milk, Rita gave her a sweet smile and said something to reassure her. "Don't worry, it's just like sweet bread! This won't really make you fat unless you eat a ton of them in a row..." Giggling a slight bit, Rita took another bite of her half and looked a bit sad as Lia said she couldn't go out... swallowing quickly, Rita responded. "Well, that's alright... Want some help with that?" Giggling a bit at Lia's follow-up question and at Mickey's waddling to both of them, Rita answered cheerfully. "Yeah, I love animals! Shame my apartment complex doesn't really allow them, though... do you know if the ones here in Penecia allow them or not?" Asking that, Rita would be interrupted by Mickey nuzzling her, to which she responded with a pet to his head, not minding his smell really since it was normal... Watching as he sniffed Lia's half of the snack, Rita finished her own and took a swig from the milk packet, finishing it off too... "Ahh, that was good... so, you want some help or not?" Looking a bit cocky, Rita would smile cheerfully and wait for Lia's answer, willing to help her with whatever she wanted, be it feeding the animals or maybe setting up the acts or something...
