Adventure or Misadventure? (Kamina)

It was not every day that the self-proclaimed “princess” of Penecia Island walked out of her home wearing a pair of hiking boots, jeans, and a comfortable top designed to both keep her warm, but also to move around in with ease. Nor was every day that her protector Snow wore a small backpack full of snacks, water, and other small useful items that he figured would be needed to keep his master content.

However, today was the day that at 11:00 in the morning, neighbors of the high end neighborhood Hyacintha lived in stared in shock and wonder as the pair left their house in this strange dress ware and gear. Walking proudly down the street with Snow trailing behind her, Hyacintha would walk all the way to the bus stop and take the bus from her subdivision to the last stop close to the end of the island. After the bus ride, there was a small pause as Hyacintha wanted a snack and water. After the small break, the pair took the 10 minute walk from the road down to the beach where they had to make a detour to the bathrooms before heading further out onto the pristine beach that marked the edge of Penecia Island.

Hyacintha ran from the path they were on and moved towards the shoreline stopping just short of where the water could reach as she looked around with a huge grin on her face before she closed her eyes and stretched.

“Oh, this is so wonderful! If the weather stays like this will have to come back out here to relax,” she said in an excited tone as she looked over to Snow, who was standing a few feet away to give her room. He gave her a simple nod as he glanced from her to the blue water as if he didn’t want to get closer to the ocean than necessary, but Hyacintha didn’t since fear from him so she assumed the glance was because he simply didn’t want to get wet….or save her from a wave should one decide to cross that thin line that separated her from the water. She wasn't sure, but maybe he didn't prepare for her getting this close to the water, so maybe being unprepared also added onto that gloomy look he wore.

Despite Snow's serious attitude and small cloud of gloom he always carried, Hyacintha remained unphased by the other as she took a while longer to enjoy the sea. Once she was done, she headed back to Snow.

“Alright, so that way to the caverns, right?” she asked as she pointed in the direction they had been walking before they had gone off on this little adventure.

“Yeah,” Snow responded back before falling silent and trailing behind Hyacintha as she began to lead the way towards the famous Rocky Caverns of the island.
